Laurel opened her eyes. She was lying in a bed. She noticed Sara's White Canary suit lying in a corner, and breathed a sigh of relief. It had all been a dream, and she was still on the Waverider. Hopefully she could apologize. It was then that Laurel looked towards the door. It looked more like the door a teenage girl would have in her bedroom than any part of the Waverider. The other features in the room supported this theory. Laurel searched the photos on the walls for some hint of recognition, but it became obvious that she was in a stranger's house. Then what was Sara's suit doing here? Laurel's thoughts were interrupted by a blonde girl wearing what appeared to be a blue crop top with a star, some red gloves, and blue shorts, continuing with the star motif.

"Good, you're awake." She said.

"What are you, some kind of Supergirl wannabe?" Laurel asked. She didn't know why she made fun of her not-sister's superhero friend like that, but aliens were kind of freaky on a whole other level.

"I don't know who this Supergirl is. My name is Courtney Whitmore. Do you know anything about the Justice Society of America or Seven Soldiers of Victory?"

"That last name doesn't ring a bell so much. But my, ahem, sister, knew a Courtney Whitmore. Thought she was trapped on Camelot. And not a teen. I don't know the full details, just what Sara told me."

Courtney began to look excited. "What is your name?"

"Laurel...Queen. People call me…" Laurel didn't want to reveal her identity to a total stranger, so she owed it to Oliver on that one. But what other option did she have? Well, aside from Sara's suit, of course. "White Canary."

"Did you say Laurel?"

"I did, why?"

"That's the name of the daughter of Pat's old Seven Soldiers friend, Oliver Queen. I did the research and some digging, it was a lot of work."

"Who the hell is Pat?"

"Just my stepfather slash sidekick. You'll love him."

"Whoa, whoa. I don't even know you. For all I know, you're a supervillain who is trying to trick me."

"And I hope you're not."

"Yeah, supervillains usually do this." Laurel sonic screamed, jumping out the window. Courtney ran to save her stuff.

"I have got to tell the others about everything." Courtney said. "We have to find who this woman is."

The entire JSA was currently gathered at The Pit Stop. Courtney stood in front of the whiteboard, while Pat, Yolanda, Beth, and Rick took their seats.

"Why did you call us all here, Courtney, for real?" Rick asked.

"Yeah, we haven't had any villains in a long time. It's becoming useless." Yolanda added.

"Well, I think I found one. She calls herself White Canary." Courtney explained. "And she also messed up my room. So technically she's a villain. What do you know about White Canary, Pat?"

"Oh, this is a long story." Pat replied. "I kept some of Oliver's files with me after the Seven Soldiers of Victory ended."

"Who's Oliver? What are you hiding from us?" Beth asked.

"Okay, so I was in the Seven Soldiers of Victory. I had a good friend named Oliver Queen. He married a woman named Laurel, and in 1985, they also had a daughter named Laurel. I believe they might have had another, but this is unconfirmed. After joining the JSA, I lost contact with a lot of old team members, and Oliver died in 1998." Pat elaborated.

"So this is probably Queen's daughter." Rick realized. "If she is though, why come to Nebraska? And what does that have to do with the White Canary moniker?"

"That was the name of an enemy of her mother, the Black Canary. She was part of the ISA for a very brief period." Pat said.

"So either this woman is who she says she is, she was sent by the original White Canary to antagonize us, or…" Courtney began.

"She's from a parallel universe." Yolanda said.

"There's not a multiverse, is there?" Rick asked.

"Yes, there is." Pat laughed. "Or at least, alternate timelines. All created by a complex web of decisions."

"What was the real name of the White Canary, Pat?" Courtney wondered.

"Ramona Wu. She never used her name though." Pat replied. "Oliver probably could tell you a lot more, if he were still alive."

"What else did this woman have?" Yolanda asked.

"Uh, a powerful sonic scream." Courtney said.

"Uh oh, this is bad." Pat said.

"Why is it bad? The multiverse is exciting!" Beth said.

"I know that," Pat replied. "But the old White Canary could ride her sonic screams over vast distances. We've got to catch her."

"There's no doubt." Pat admitted grimly.
