Ricardo stares absently at the full year calendar they have set up on the wall. "Hey, do you think it's too early to announce a holiday event?" Alicia blinks up at him from where she's sitting at the kitchen table, trying to help Clara eat her soft cereal. "No? Probably earlier the better, right? So people won't have plans already?" She smiles at the baby coos and squirms, Alicia easing another small spoonful of the mixture into her waiting mouth.

"Yeah," Ricardo says, tapping his fingers against his forearm. "And it's in that sleepy period between Christmas and New Years. So why not, right? Give people something to do while we wait for the new year."

Alicia stands, wiping off Clara's chin and lips. "Exactly," she says, hoisting the baby up and carrying her over to Ricardo. "What date are you thinking?" "The building I want to rent is available on the 28th," Ricardo says.

She grabs a market and circles the 28th, scribbling over it. "There," she says, grinning. "Now you can't overthink it. It's decided." She winks at him. "Now take your daughter while I get the other baby up from her nap and see how she's liking her soft cereal today."

Ricardo makes a soft chiding noise as he hoists Clara into his arms and kisses her. "Don't have to ask me twice," he mumbles, rocking her back and forth as he stares at the calendar. "What do you think, Clara?" he wonders, still staring at December 28th. "Think that sounds alright?" She coos, gripping at his collar, eyes wide and searching as she looks up at him. "I guess that means you agree with your mother," he says, nuzzling into her. "Alright, the 28th will do, I guess."

Christmas and the end of the year feels like it's still a long ways away, but he knows it'll be here before he's ready for it, and it does feel good to have at least one thing scheduled.
