As Marhsal stood back up, Kratos raised his brow. "What kind of weapon is that?" The God asked.

"Truthfully...I don't even know myself." Marshal said with a weak laughter. "But what I do know, is that this weapon...is capable of killing a god." Marhsal aimed his new combined weapon, the sword facing Kratos in a challenging stance. "Now, shall we start the second round?" Marshal said with a grin, that Kratos was dumbfounded to see at first, before matching it with a chuckle.

Marhsal charged forward with a newfound resolve, Kratos, in a move he did not understand himself, instinctively went into a blocking motion. Marshal changed forms, and used the mace, which even with an attempt at blocking, still managed to knock Kratos back forcefully. Before Kratos even had a chance to understand what happened, Marshal came back at him, this time with the sword end unleashing a flurry of stabs

SWORD RAIN

Kratos with great speed attempted to block the flurry, but noticeable amounts of blood from the stab wounds became evident, before he finally managed to see an opening and force Marshal back.

"I-Incredible! Marshal has managed to turn the tables on The God of Power, leaving him in cuts and bruises!"

Humanity broke out into an array of cheers again, a few 'Good going old man!' and 'Kill that God!' standing out from the crowd.

The Gods looked in surprise, as they saw their champion struggling.

"Psh, look at these guys." One of the Gods said, as he stared around at the crowd. He had long white hair, sported with a white toga, and a gold leaf crown. He was noticeably taller then the other two.

God of Rivalry

Zelos (Greek)

"There's no way big bro will lose right!?" The second God, the shortest out of these three looked nervously at her old brother, Zelos. This Goddess also wore a gold leaf crown, and a white toga, and also had flowing white hair, except hers was more curly compared to her brother's straight hair.

God of Victory

Nike (Greek)

"Kratos? Please." The last God huffed. "That bastard is too stubborn to die." This god, like the other two possessed a gold leaf crown and a white toga, but also golden sword earings, that matched two gold necklaces on her body. Unlike her siblings, her hair was long and brown.

God of Force

Bia (Greek)

"Yeah, our brother will never let us down." Zelos smiled. "After all, he hasn't even used that move yet."

"Oh? I haven't seen him use that since Odin's betrayal." Bia whistled.

"Please brother..." Nike said under her breath, unbeknownst to her two siblings.

"Marshal's divine weapon...so that's what it does..." Hephaestus said with a smile. "Not bad at all, Pandy..."

"As his conviction and sense of duty grows stronger, so does his weapon." Pandora explained to Goll

"That feels like such a cheat code! No way he can lose with something like that!" Goll excitedly said.

"Well it may seem that way, that is not entirely true. A power like that requires someone with a strong mental fortitude, if he even wavers for a moment he would be in immediately danger. His willpower is not something to take lightly."

Kratos was huffing, and looked down at the wounds on his body. He began to look up at the sky. "Father...what would you say if you saw me now?"

Many Many, A Millennia Ago.

During the assault the Gods took on two fronts, from the titans, and the beasts who escaped the prisons of Tartarus, a family of titans made a bold choice.

"Father, why are we betraying our comrades!?" Kratos asked, as his children heard the news.

"My son, please, you must understand why we are doing this." Styx calmly told him.

God of Warcraft

Styx (Greek)

"Kratos, you need to trust in father right now." Zelos told his younger brother. "With the upcoming war, we will not side with the Titans, and instead with the Gods."

"Forever a goody-two shoes, Zelos." Bia eye-rolled, as Nike watched her siblings arguing with a nervous look on her face.

"Enough!" Styx's voice echoed through the war-room, as all his children silenced.

"Kratos, I need you to take a walk with me." Kratos wanted to object, but Zelos looked at him and nodded. Kratos sighed, and followed his father. The two went to their favourite place, a cliffside with a beautiful view in the heavens.

"Kratos...this was your mother's favourite place." Styx told his son, who looked at him in surprise. Kratos knew his father never talked about his mother, after all she died soon after Nike was born, and his father treated it like she never existed.

"And your mother, was killed by our so called comrades." Styx added.

Kratos did not say a word, but looked on instead. His father was surprised by this, but as he looked down he saw his fists, and the drops of blood coming from how hard he was squeezing his fingers into his palm.

"Hermes, one of Zeus' children informed me of this. And also asked for our assistance in the upcoming war. He's promised a place for us, and protection from their Chief Gods, if we side with them."

"...Do Bia and Nike know?"

"Zelos is telling them now, after all he was the only one old enough at the time to remember her death. Go easy on your brother Kratos. He's held this in for years, without being able to tell you, and only recently did he find out about this as soon as I did."

"...I'm sorry Father." Kratos said.

"My...that's the first time you've ever apologised to me. Might my most troublesome son finally be growing up?" Styx smiled, as Kratos did too.

So when the war began, Styx and his children were the first to attack, and it was on their own side. The Gods saw the shock from the Titans, and used that surprise to their advantage. Unfortunately...Styx was killed by his fellow Chief Titans. As he didn't tell his children, and attempted to fight them on his own. Unlike Hades' single victory against the Tartarus rebellion, Styx was unable to complete the same feat. To honour his sacrifice, and the four Titan children, they were made Zeus' primary enforcers, and guardians to the throne. Kratos, as the strongest made his power known, and in thanks to Zeus for giving his family a home, has sworn loyalty to him since that day.

"Kratos...your father would be proud." Zeus would often tell him. "His former problem child, is now one of the most respected Gods in all of Olympus. You've done well."

Present Day

"Human, you are a strong and commendable warrior. For that, you have my respect." Kratos told him. "But unfortunately, I cannot lose." Kratos took a deep breath and closed his eyes, stabbing both his words in the ground.

As Marshal took a stance, ready to go forward, he was suddenly blasted back. "Wha-What the?" Marshal quickly stared, as he looked at Kratos' swords, as they began to flare up.

"Uh oh...he's done it now." Zelos said.

"Yep, big bro has activated that." Bia added.

Kratos' strongest, but most deadliest form, his failsafe mode. The power that he used to drive back to Primordial titans. Rampage Fury.

His swords has now changed colour. As Kratos took a swing aimed at Marhsal from the far distance, it managed to crack into the walls on the side, narrowly missing Marshal who didn't move an inch.

"Now forgive me, I may end this in a few minutes." Kratos smiled, as Marshal grinned.

"Let's give it our best." Marshal said in a stance ready to attack once more.

And that's the end of the second part! The first round to be fair is going to be faster, like it was in canon soo I don't know if you can tell but it's already halfway over. Let me know what you think of Kratos' backstory in how I did it? Marshal's power does feel like a cheat code, but trust me it's not as bad as you think. You'll notice it later. Hope you enjoy!
