Poppy pulled out a welding kit, being interrupted by Sora asking her why she had it. She didn't answer, but instead, started blasting at the wires. "How do you know which one to cut?" Branch asked.
"I don't!" Poppy replied joyfully.
"What?" Sora asked, suddenly nervous.
"I'm just cutting them until it works!" The lights went out. Branch's expression dropped. Sora looked up once the lights went out, then back at Poppy with a look of concern on his face. "Poppy scares me sometimes," Goofy admitted.
"Agreed," Donald said.
Branch led the group down, using his hair to lower himself to a lower level in the air vents. Sora was the last down, but he felt comfortable enough that his hair would move on will, and support him, which it did. Sora smiled, then happily followed the group as they started walking off again.
"How have you never used your hair before?" Tiny pried.
"I, um," Sora said, his brain struggling to find an answer, "just...never had to. You know, pretty safe where I live, after all, that kind of thing." Sora walked faster to keep distance from Tiny before he asked another question.
"Here," Branch said, pointing down a slotted vent. "There! There's Floyd!"
Branch lowered himself through the vent, Poppy, Tiny, then Sora following, Donald and Goofy holding onto him. They reached the table. "Floyd!" Branch called, quietly, running up to him.
"Branch?" Floyd asked, turning around. "Oh, wow, it is you! You've grown so much!"
Branch smiled, mostly of relief, then ran up and hugged the bottle. Floyd hugged it as well. "Finally!" Branch sighed. "Somebody gets me!"
Sora, Poppy and Goofy giggled. Floyd moved away from the bottle. "Branch, what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to save you," Branch replied. He turned around. "We're here to save you."
"Thank you, Branch, really," Floyd replied, "but it's too dangerous."
"That's why we have to get you out of here," Branch said.
There came a sound from the hallway, kind of like a trip, a thump, and a loud footstep. "They're coming back!" Floyd cried. "You have to get out of here!"
Branch gave Floyd one more thoughtful look, then grabbed the vent with his hair and pulled himself up. The others followed, Sora, again, last. Sora was almost caught by Velvet, until Veneer came scrambling into the room with Rhonda. "Where should we put it?" he asked.
"In the closet," Velvet replied, pointing at the closet. She threw the door open and snatched Rhonda from Veneer and tossed her inside, apparently with a small creature with the appearance of crinkled paper. "No, wait!" she yelled, before Velvet slammed the door shut.
"There, now that takes care of that!" Velvet said, dusting off her hands. "And with our extra Troll power," she said, tapping on one of the purple, diamond studs on her shoulder pads, "we'll definitely earn the Lifetime Award!"
She walked over to the table and grabbed Floyd. "Floyd!" BroZone called in unison.
"You're okay!" John cheered.
"Yeah, but he won't be for long," Bruce said sarcastically.
"Yeah, because who thought it was a good idea to park in a spot that read, 'reserved for BroZone?' Wasn't that a little sus to you?" Clay asked.
"Oh, come on, you don't get involved too, Clay!" John cried.
"Guys, please," Floyd said quietly.
"Oh, shut up already!" Velvet said, rolling her eyes. "You guy's have been fighting the entire time! Can't you catch a break?" She shoved Floyd in the empty spot of her shoulder pad and turned towards Veneer.
"I don't know about this, sis," Veneer said. "I mean, he looks half dead." He pointed at Floyd. "Besides, I think they're kinda cute running around."
"Yeah, but they aren't any good to us out there, are they?" Velvet asked.
"Well, no..." Veneer said.
"That's the spirit, Veneer!" Velvet said, smiling. "Now let's get the magic going and make history!"
She tapped the button on her chest, and pink mist rose inside the diamond studs, sucking...something out of BroZone.
"Oh my gosh," Sora whispered, covering his mouth. "That's horrible."
"What...what's happening?" John asked, drained and weak.
"She's taking our talent," Floyd answered. "And if she doesn't stop now, then we'll all die."
Velvet tested her new talent for a moment, by holding down a lord, single note. "Alright, little brother," Velvet cheered. "Let's get out there on stage!"
