Ricardo stares down at his schedule, pondering. "Hey, Alicia," he calls out.

She wanders into the kitchen and wraps an arm around him, resting her face against his shoulder. "What's up?" she mumbles.

He cups her hand in his and lifts it to his face, kissing her fingertips lazily. "Well, I was thinking. When I go to LA, do you think we should make it a family thing? All of us go, with Sofia and the babies? Andre's school is out for Columbus Day, and we can get back in plenty of time for him to go back on Tuesday."

Alicia hums, also staring at the calendar. "I think we can," she hedges. "But this is pretty impulsive."

"You like impulsive," he says with a small smile.

"I do," she concedes. "Unless it means dragging three babies across country last minute."

"True," he says. "I know, it's a lot. But I think we could take them to see their grandma and auntie. Maybe meet their cousins. You know?"

Alicia's eyes soften. "Yeah," she says softly. "We could do that. Alright, let's see if we can make it work."

He beams. "I love you," he says, pressing a kiss to her lips.

"Love you too," she says. "Now come on, there's a lot of budget adjusting and ticket buying we'll have to do to make this work out. Get busy."

"Yes, ma'am," he says with a laugh, the two of them getting busy working at flight options to make it all work out so they can get to LA without completely draining their savings.
