I stood there for a moment, thinking. Perhaps I could revert back to my human form—though I wasn't sure what it would be like after everything that had changed. I focused, and with a concentrated effort, I felt my body shift. A surge of energy rippled through me, and then, just like that, I was back in human form.
Only, I wasn't quite the same.
I stood much taller now—6'9", towering over the others even in my human state. My black hair had grown longer, and my dark brown eyes seemed even darker, almost shadowed. I looked down at my hands, flexing them, noting how everything felt different but still familiar. The change had altered me, but it hadn't taken away my core self.
Leon, who had been busy clearing space, noticed first. "Whoa… didn't expect that. You've got some serious shape-shifting abilities."
Chris glanced over, nodding. "Guess you're full of surprises."
Claire raised an eyebrow, giving me a once-over. "Well, that's one way to save space in here."
Jill smirked slightly. "You're still taller than all of us, though."
I didn't say anything at first, just adjusting to this new form. It was an odd feeling—being human again but different. Still, it would be easier to fit in the cabin this way, and I could always revert to my beast form if the situation called for it.
I gave a small nod. "This will make things a bit easier," I said, my voice still calm and detached. Then I found a spot to sit, leaning back against the wall, knowing we'd need to rest before whatever came next.
