Opening File: Zootopia
Zootopia is a modern city and is the first major city where Faunus and Mobians first came together in peace and is populated by both species from all over the world. All Mobians and Faunus are free to roam freely in this part of the world. Savanna Central is the city's downtown area and is home to important establishments such as City Hall and the Zootopia Police Department. Other districts include the Rainforest District, Tundratown, Sahara Square, and Little Rodentia, each designed to accommodate specific animals' needs and habits.
Zootopia incorporates corporates architectural designs from many real life cities, including Empire City, Shanghai, Barcelona, and London. Originally a mammal watering hole thousands of years prior, Zootopia grew into a city built by non-humans, for non-humans. Unfortunately, Zootopia is, similar to the human world, plagued with prejudice. Small and weak animals, especially prey animals like rabbits and sheep are often underestimated by large herbivores and predators, such as elephants and tigers. The prey animals, especially the small ones, are often seen as weak and find themselves being underestimated and underappreciated.
Predators are often viewed as loud, arrogant and violent by the prey, who make up 90% of the population. In spite of this, the city holds the mantra of "In Zootopia, anyone can be anything", coined by the city's noble head, Mayor Lionheart, who has worked on a project known as the Mammal Inclusion Initiative that, in theory, provides all species of mammals high-ranking opportunities in every part of Zootopian society.
To accommodate the residents of each district's environmental requirements, Zootopia's districts feature artificial climate zones. For districts with opposing climate zones, there are massive walls separating them designed to ventilate the air temperatures between the two environments, similar to air conditioners. Zootopia also features an extensive transit system for all sizes of mammal Mobians, including a smaller section for rodents to board safely from larger Mobians.

Opening File: Africa
At about 30.2 million km² (11.7 million sq mi) including adjacent islands, it covers 6% of the Earth's total surface area and 20.4% of the total land area. With a billion people (as of 2009) in 61 territories, it accounts for about 14.8% of the World's human population. The continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Suez Canal and the Red Sea to the northeast, the Indian Ocean to the southeast, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. Not counting the disputed territory of Western Sahara, there are 53 countries, including Madagascar and various island groups, associated with the continent.
Africa, particularly central eastern Africa, is widely regarded within the scientific community to be the origin of humans and the Hominidae tree (great apes), as evidenced by the discovery of the earliest hominids and their ancestors, as well as later ones that have been dated to around seven million years ago – including Sahelanthropus tchadensis, Australopithecus africanus, A. afarensis, Homo erectus, H. habilis and H. ergaster – with the earliest Homo sapiens (human) found in Ethiopia being dated to ca. 200,000 years ago.

Opening File: The Serpent
The Serpent is a high-ranking member of the Satyra, answering only to its leader: His Eminence. According to many rumors circling around this mysterious member, the Serpent was raised in almost a dungeon-type atmosphere as a kid in the garbage pit of Coral Grove. On his first mission, Li earned the nickname "The Serpent" by inventing a new deadly move: the Serpent Strike.
Early on in his work, he got his hands on an ancient medallion that had a Tazelwurm, representing Red and Blue Yin-Yang design. Though this part of his early life is clear, there are still unknown points in time in what he did, either taking over or opening up his own casino; getting a snake who he then trained; possibly discovering his true origins from His Eminence but regardless, the Serpent remain a very mysterious and dangerous opponent to face. The Serpent tends to take on an enforcer role in the Satyra. He is rumored to have great physical and is capable of superhuman feats, capable of taking down multiple Huntsmen without much difficulty.
As the owner of the Hydra Casino, he has absolute authority over the operation that it entails, regardless of anything that anyone else can do about it, and even if it breaks the law. He is an expert in several types of games and is very good at them. His duties within the Council are not simply limited to enforcement, however, and his jack-of-all-trades skill set makes him a valued asset. He seems to be a good stylist as well as a stalker and cameraman. In addition, he is an expert at covert and espionage and could have some medical knowledge based on rumored encounters.
The Serpent is a very good planner, manipulator, and thinker, performing convoluted and effective plans all for a grand and larger scheme of his and the Satyra. When his plans start to fall apart, he can improvise as well, blending into a crowd, and jumping into an air vent for example. Priscilla, the Serpent's pet snake, is trained to do extremely difficult tasks, like attacking the opponents by her master's command and fighting by his side.

"Your Eminence."
Dimly light torches lit the room as the messenger humbly bowed before the throne. The person sitting on the throne was shrouded by the shadow of a large banner hanging overhead.
The banner of the Satyra.
"Speak."
"The Grimm army approaches Nowhere with each passing day. Our spies have reported that every available Huntsman and Hero has been called to evacuate the few towns and villages in their way."
"Yes, the Grimm army emerging from the Darklands." His Eminence hissed. "Sammael has made his move finally."
"Do you wish for us to mobilize as well?" The messenger lifted his head.
"No." His Eminence raised a hand. "We do not interfere in the matters of the Fallen, at least not yet. What of Argost?"
"It is reported that Argost is close to locating Kur's Tomb. I am sure once its found-"
"One step closer to finding the great beast." His Eminence finished.
"One step? Forgive me, Your Eminence but I was under the impression Kur would be found once its tomb was found." The messenger stated, now confused.
"The Tomb of Kur was built in honor by those who worshiped it. It is a ceremonial gesture at best but guards the knowledge of how to find Kur…Or at least the Kur of the new era." His Eminence explained.
"Kur of the new era?"
"Yes. Kur is a creature of great power, powerful enough it even challenged the Fallen and Sammael at the height of its original glory. If it hadn't been betrayed by the Lemurians and those heretic humans, Kur might have pushed back the Grimm and the Fallen considerably. But of course, humans and even cryptids fear that which is stronger than them." His Eminence stated. "Kur's original body has long since been destroyed but it cannot die, no matter they try. It will always return and will find a new host. That host will control the balance of power between nature and humanity."
"But why trust it to Argost? Why not let your loyal agents search for Kur?"
"Because Argost is both cunning and ambitious." His Eminence answered. "With just a cape and a mask, he built his celebrity lifestyle from the ground up, obtaining the funding he needed to launch his Weird World television program with little effort. Argost has shown that he has the skills, will, and complete lack of empathy that is needed to find Kur."
"But what happens when he tries to take control of Kur for himself?"
His Eminence grinned. "Do not worry, my subordinate. Argost may have studied the histories of Kur deeply, but he falls short to one who has witnessed history."
The messenger paused. "Your Eminence, have you actually…met Kur?"
His Eminence let out a chuckle that developed into complete laughter. "Why, yes. Well, to be more honest, I have witnessed Kur."
The messenger was stunned.
"Though if we are being perfectly honest, Kur's history runs deeper than the humans and even the Nagas would believe. After all, the Sumerians respected Kur enough to worship him as a deity and build him temples, suggesting that he was considered at least a patron god somewhere and meaning he had a part in their culture and important enough that they went to extreme measures to protect his temples. The fact that he had a place in human society while ruling over other Cryptids should be enough to tell you that there is much more to the stories that you hear today. The fact that Kur even has a tomb should be enough to say that he was respected enough by the beings he would have no magical influence over after he died." His Eminence explained. "Taking the word of the Lumerians and the Nagas would never bring the full picture. The Lumerians hated him and considered him their enemy while the Nagas worshiped him as their God of Death, believing he would bring about the end of humanity. And let's not forget who it was who originally defeated Kur."
"The Warrior-King, Gilgamesh." The messenger recalled.
"Yes, a figure notorious for his insults, terrible actions and bad rulership. I think even Sammael found him intolerable." His Eminence rolled his eyes. "The fact that he was chosen to wield the weapon that banished Kur in the beginning was just so he could be used rewrite history, painting Kur as a purely evil, monster to control the destiny of his reincarnation."
"And Kur was…not evil?"
"It depends." His Eminence shrugged. "Kur could be harsh and could be cruel like any other ruler but he was also a protector of the kingdoms he ruled, both humans and Cryptids. Many rulers in those times were cruel, rarely were they truly evil. The standards of justice back then were 'eye for an eye' and kings who overdid this were seen as cruel but of course king who didn't ascribe to that kind of justice were seen as weak. So was Kur truly evil or was he considered a morally normal ruler for his time?"
"I see."
His Eminence chuckled. "I always love rubbing history in the faces of people who think they know everything just because they take what they read from the ancient ruins they trespass and defile as actual history."
"Indeed, you do." The messenger stood up. "What shall be done about Argost then?"
"Nothing yet, my Serpent. We will wait until he finds Kur and then make our move." His Eminence answered, leaning forward. "You know what you will have to do then."
The messenger, the Serpent nodded with a grin. "As you wish, Your Eminence."
His Eminence grinned. "Good, now tell me of our operations in Zootopia."
"All is according to schedule. We've managed to locate the ingredients for the formula."
"Good."
Xxx
The warm shining sun.
The fresh air.
The endless fields and jungles of green.
It had been so long.
He hadn't been here since…
"Garfield, turn into a bird! Turn into a bird and fly!"
Beast Boy shook his head as unpleasant memories began to surface in his mind.
Like it was when meeting the Doom Patrol for the first time in years, being back in Africa had stirred up memories that the green skinned member of the Teen Titans had worked to hard to bury for a long time.
"It'll be okay, Garfield…It'll be okay."
It was hard trying to make it stop.
Like simply being here in Africa had caused all the earlier memories of his life to resurface but he didn't have time for that.
"Okay, Beast Boy. First you need to figure out what happened, why you have a weird watch attached to your wrist and figure out how Raven fits into all of this."
He just knew that Raven was somehow connected with this.
He pulled out his Titan Communicator. "Beast Boy calling Titans Tower, you guys there?"
Static…
"That's weird." Beast Boy tried a few more times to call Titans Tower.
What was going on?
Cyborg had designed their communicators to be able to contact any Titan members all around the world thanks to the wireless network he had set up. He should be able to call the other Titans easily.
"Robin? Cyborg? Raven? Starfire?"
He thought he had something when he tried Raven's communicator, but it was only brief. "….(static)."
"Okay, this is a start." Beast Boy put the communicator back in his pocket. "No communications, means I'm on my own."
That wasn't so bad.
He had been on his own before.
Only that had been a long time ago and he didn't really like it.
Before or after he had left the Doom Patrol…
Oh, who was he kidding?
Beast Boy hated being alone.
It didn't help that the last memory of him being alone, even in Titan's Tower was being kidnapped and fitted with a shock collar by the alien Soto.
Beast Boy still shudders at that memory at times.
"Okay, I don't think I've been in this part of Africa before so I just got to work to find the nearest town so I can call for help." Beast Boy muttered before taking the form of a green colored hawk and took off into the air.
This was perhaps one of his favorite hobbies.
Perhaps this would be enough to distract him, flying through the air, souring among the clouds and able to see the endless green land before him.
Green…
Beast Boy could admit to himself, a part of him was glad to be back in Africa. It may have brought back some rather sad memories but there were some good ones too. He had never told his friends this, but after the death of his parents, Garfield was raised by King Tawaba, a friend of the Logans and chief of the local tribe. Mobu, the tribe's witch doctor, however, had hated the Logans and arranged for two Americans to kill Garfield in exchange for the whereabouts of a temple containing fabulous treasure.
While the temple eventually collapsed and killed Mobu, the two Americans 'rescued' Garfield and brought him back to the United States to use him to commit crimes for them. As the two men eventually kill each other, Garfield is left under the care of Nicholas Galtry, the attorney for the Logan estate, who renames him 'Craig'. While the young Logan was missing in Africa, Nicholas Galtry had embezzled funds from Garfield's inheritance. Realizing that his embezzlement from the Logan estate would be exposed when Garfield reached maturity and received his inheritance, Galtry plotted to kill the boy.
Aware that he was being used for his inheritance, Garfield hated Galtry, but things took a change for the better when the boy met Rita Farr and Steve Dayton of the Doom Patrol. Eventually allowed to work alongside the Doom Patrol, the villains Galtry hired to kill Garfield were stopped by the team and Rita Farr and Steve Dayton, better known as Elastic Girl and Mento adopted Garfield as their son after marrying and exposing Galtry's embezzlement. Garfield was allowed to work alongside the Doom Patrol and served well until he had a falling out with Mento by choosing to save them over stopping the Brain from escaping.
After that, he wandered from place to place, looking for a home before he ended up in Jump City where he met Robin along with the other future members of the Titans.
The rest, as they say, is history.
'I wander if I could visit the old village, see if the Chief is still around or if his daughter took over by now.' Beast Boy wondered to himself as he continued to fly.
Heck, if he could reconnect with the Doom Patrol, maybe spending some time at the old village would do him some good.
He looked down and noticed something was off.
'Whoa, did Metropolis move to Africa?!'
Below him was a vast city, the kind of which you thought you'd only see if you moved to Metropolis in America.
Actually, this city had a few things Metropolis lacked as Beast Boy got closer.
'Are those people…animals?!'
Like the ones on cartoons?
More like animal people.
Like the ones on cartoons?!
Or animals that looked like people.
Like the ones on cartoons!
Beast Boy was stunned as he flew around the buildings, looking at the people and seeing they were either humanoid animals or humans with animal features.
'Just what planet did I wake up on?'
Was it even Earth he was on?
'Oh man, I hate it when I wake up on another planet without knowing why.'
