Kitty arrived back at the mansion before the professor did. She tried to be understanding of the situation that he was dealing with but at the same time it pissed her off that the events of yesterday had happened at all. She loved Ororo like an aunt, sometimes almost like a second mom, with respect to her actual mother of course. Though cruel, she felt that the guy that Logan had killed got exactly what was coming to him. The first person she'd ran into back at the school was Piotr. The handsome hunk had told her that he'd talked to Ororo earlier and he tried to convince her that what had happened to her was not her fault in the slightest. Kitty now had to find her to, make sure she was ok. Ororo was one of the toughest people that they knew, however she needed reassurance as well.

Going around the corner she saw him, and the man saw the girl who had stood between him and murder. She shuddered seeing him. Her shudder made a jolt of pain go through him. He'd hoped none of the kids would ever have to see him in a real rage, but it had happened, and there wasn't anything he could do about it now… He'd have to have some words with Chuck about that. It was absolutely wrong for him to send a young teenage girl to stop a murderer like him from accomplishing a hit like he had.

She turned from seeing him… she knew he caught the twitch of discomfort that had touched her upon their sudden shared space. She'd seen him as an uncle up to that point, but that image had been bulldozed when she had to do what she did just a couple of days ago. The look in his eyes. The rage, the premeditated malice, the savagery. When she was in Canada with him and Kurt his eyes were haunted, not beastly and dark. Hateful and enraged like they were then… She turned suddenly, needing to remove herself from the same space as Logan…

'Damn...' He said inwardly. He'd have to redevelop the relationship that he had built with Kitty when she was ready, the wound was too fresh right now.

'CHUCK, WE ARE GONNA HAVE WORDS!' He sent to the man…

In the kitchen the wheelchair bound man was making himself something to eat when he heard the mental shout. Though he was used to the feral man in his moods this scared him… He took a breath and calmed himself then opened the channel that he had with Logan once more.

'We will, I will be back in my office in a short while. We can talk there…' After he didn't get anything back he directed his attention back to his food.

A couple of minutes later he sat at the table ready to eat his lunch, but the fork froze in his hand at the sight of the man entering the room. Logan eyed him hard. Walking over to him seeming eerily similar to a hunter walking to their prey. Prey that had no ability to escape, or even to try.

"Chuck." The single word out of his mouth was what had shaken him out of it. He knew the man could be very peaceful when he wanted to be. Thanks to grace and mercy he seemed to be in that mood now. He sat down at the table opposite him and stared him down like an opponent.

"Logan." He greeted him. As with any predator one rule remained… Do not under any circumstances show fear. He straightened up and brought the fork to his mouth resuming as if nothing had happened. Though he was caught off guard when Logan reached out moving the plate towards himself as if he was interested in it, but when it got to him he just let it rest there.

"Logan, do you mind?…" He said authoritatively, but the other man raised his head staring at him in a dominating way, he was in charge now and Charles knew this. He'd seen him like this with the kids many times, but he'd never done this with him he barely did it with Hank and he hardly ever did it with Ororo. But it was his turn to get it now. With the stubborn man before him he knew that patience was really the only way out of this one as he'd most likely let him alone when he was done with his business there.

"What do you want…" He said irritated, the other man's visage changed slightly as he got to the point he wanted to confront him about.

"You shouldn't have done that to Kitty." He was blunt in his statement, Xavier understood now. He thought that there might be some negative effects to his choice to send her after him but there was not much else he could do… The others could go after him, but he could easily kill any of them in his state of mind. He knew he loved all of them too much to willingly do that, but who knew when he was that mad.

"I had no choice..."

"NO CHOICE?" The other man bellowed.

"No, it was either her or someone else that could not go intangible, and that could add to the catastrophy. I don't think Ororo would like that."

"You don't get to talk about her right now."

"I don't!? I've known her a lot longer than you have Logan, she is like a daughter to me, do I not get to speak about my own child!" Logan took a deep breath knowing he didn't have a right to talk to this man in front of him like this. He didn't really care though.

"If that girl leaves this school it will be YOUR FAULT CHARLES! It was completely uncaring and dangerous to send her after me like that! I COULD'VE KILLED HER!"

"But you didn't now did you?" The other man exclaimed. Logan looked about like an enraged animal at that point.

"Please understand that if I had another choice I would've used it, I simply didn't at that time."

"What about Petey? He wasn't here to utilize his powers?… You know it's hard for me to hurt him."

"It is, but he was not available. I'm sorry for upsetting you like this but there truly was not another option." Logan didn't have many times that he wished anything bad on the man in front of him, but for a moment he wanted to do something… something that he wouldn't forget. But Ororo… she wouldn't approve, and if she knew that he was like a father to her now he could imagine her wrath if he hurt or killed him… he didn't know if his healing factor could handle her running full power lightning through his body, he might melt into a lump of metal, like a cast-iron pan or something, a reverse beauty and the beast if you will. She remembers and boom, he goes from a human to a frying pan, not even a fun one…

Charles knew he was thinking of his wife now, the man could always depend on that… whatever he would do he always thought of her and the aftermath of it. Except maybe this time. He would've been tempted to nudge him mentally toward that, but it would be very very wrong, no matter how uncomfortable he was in situations with the man sitting across from him he would never cross that line.

Logan eyed Charles carefully, the man gave off a slight odor of wariness though the look in his eyes was sturdy. His aggravation was semi appeased then, he got what he had come for. To strike the fear of God into the telepath, he had no right to play with other peoples innocence like that.
