A/N Okay, my thoughts. In the comics we find out that Piper's children, all three, were engineered to be 'twice blessed' in an effort to create a more powerful version of the Charmed Ones. Something that was undone by an Angel of Destiny because Wyatt at least, in a few different futures, became corrupted by that much power.

A fan theory holds that there's three things that contributed to him turning evil, Piper ate a piece of the tainted chocolate Cole as the Source used to ensure Phoebe got pregnant with an evil son, the fact that he was born in the Manor itself with the Nexus since anyone born in the Manor, like Phoebe, is susceptible to its influence and the sheer amount of power he had. As an individual he was equal in power to the Charmed Ones, the most powerful group of witches ever.

It's also a fan theory that Wyatt was male because of the tainted chocolate, given the Warren line had never produced a male child before. Chris being Piper's child too only came about because the show runners decided to write Holly Marie Combs real life pregnancy into the series, it wasn't originally planned for Chris to be related to them at all.

And there's the episode where Baby Halliwell is born and they learn about the prophecy. In this same episode, Paige and Phoebe realize the Elders must have known about the prophecy, which is why they sent them the unicorn. But there's never any follow up to that realization, no anger at the Elders, that we see, for not warning anyone. And no evidence of the consequences to any other beings, besides demons, being affected by Magic going down.

If the show runners want drama, there's plenty to be mined from all of the above.

But in this story, Cole died instead of being possessed by the Source, which means no tainted chocolate and the potential effect it might have on Piper. 😁

They continued to hear about dead innocent beings. Leprechauns traveled in magically created rainbows. When Magic went down, they were violently thrown out and unable to save themselves. How many exactly died was known only to each clan. The fairies found dead in their flower beds were only the first. Children the world over knew Magic existed, mortals just forgot as they got older. And the Charmed Ones and their family knew children saw fairies, they'd known that since a little girl had come to them last year seeking help for the fairy she was trying to protect. Which meant children knew fairies had died and couldn't explain to their parents, who didn't see, believe or understand. Little Cole was carefully kept away from the flowers until every fairy had been found and returned to the Fairy Queens.

And Cordelia was blocked from orbing Xander into the Realm the Elders lived in. Natalie came to them immediately after Magic came back to explain what she knew.

"Every whitelighter on Earth was recalled this morning." She told them. "That was the first we heard that Magic was going down and that your baby was the subject of a pregnancy. Until then, we had no idea and we were forbidden from leaving, to warn our charges."

"How many witches were hurt or killed without their powers or any warning?" Xander hissed.

"I don't know yet, many of them, my charges especially, know other methods of protecting themselves. I was Army, even if I was a medic, I've made sure they can think in an emergency and know other means of protecting themselves. But I have no doubt there will be dead witches, as well as other beings."

"What about the other side, demons?" Cordelia asked. "Some of them are magical too."

"If the Elders have any idea, I doubt they'll tell us."

"What's their explanation for all this anyway?" Prue asked.

"It was a test, your child is and will be powerful and they wanted to be sure you could protect her."

"No, it wasn't." Xander growled. "They can claim that as their excuse all they want, it makes no sense as an explanation, because the whole supernatural world was affected by this stupidity. Innocents are dead or at the very least, hurt. It's a Hell of a long way to go to test the Charmed Ones. Whatever their real reason for doing this, I can't help but wonder just how much longer the Powers are going to put up with the imbalance their choices have to be creating before doing something about it."

"Your opinion isn't something they want to hear." Natalie informed him. "All whitelighters, including Cordelia, are forbidden from bringing you into their presence. They simply don't want to hear it."

"I bet. Cowards."

"Out of curiosity, what do you think they might do if we don't pay any attention to them and I orb us up there right now?" Cordelia asked. "It's not like I'm subject to their rules anyway, I was born a whitelighter, not given powers by them."

"Doesn't mean they wouldn't try to punish you." Natalie said sadly, her faith in the Elders all but gone by now.

"Figures. Alright, I'm not going to risk them hurting Cordy just so I can tell them to their faces they're horse's asses. But they can't stop me from saying it." He flicked his middle finger in tribute to the Elders.

"We do still have something to celebrate, despite the pain the Elders have caused." Lydia pointed out.

"Have you decided on a name?" Ava asked.

"Patricia Alexis Halliwell. The newest Warren witch who's got a very protective uncle."

"What?!"
