Chapter 690 The Sensitive Professor Trelawney

Fleur did not sincerely help Evan change his clothes. He had to ask Hermione to come and assist, allowing Fleur to help Gabrielle.

Despite the loose and uncomfortable underwear that kept slipping, Evan insisted on not taking it off until the end, which reassured Gabrielle.

In fact, she was a bit worried that Evan would undress completely...

While the three were not paying attention, Evan looked down and lowered his collar. There was really nothing to see.

With the help of Fleur and Hermione, Evan and Gabrielle didn't finish changing all their clothes until about ten minutes later.

Fortunately, although the Beauxbatons uniforms were also divided into male and female styles, the difference was not too significant.

Evan found it slightly uncomfortable, but not unacceptable.

Due to his size and weight loss, his body had become lighter and less powerful.

However, only the form and appearance had changed. The magic in his body remained the same.

Evan tucked the bottle containing the Polyjuice Potion into the cloth bag he carried and followed the other three out of the carriage.

Now it was time for class, and many people came to greet them.

They were all Beauxbatons girls, acquaintances of Gabrielle, but Evan did not know any of them, so he was weary of dealing with it.

Beside him, the real Gabrielle was also evasive. It was her first time becoming someone else. She lacked experience and feared being discovered.

"Are you both alright?" Hermione asked worriedly. "I always feel a bit disjointed."

"Don't worry, we're fine, you go to Potions class!" Evan said, turning to look at Fleur, who was laughing, "you too, hurry and go to Transfiguration class, don't worry about us..."

"Goodbye then, dear sister!" Fleur said, approaching and kissing Gabrielle twice on the cheek.

Evan was stunned, as was Hermione! They saw Gabrielle didn't avoid the kiss; she accepted it and even seemed to want to reciprocate...

Evan hastily grabbed her, but it was too late, and there was a gasp of surprise around them. Many students who had just left the Great Hall after breakfast witnessed this scene.

What they saw, Fleur was actually kissing Evan! And if Gabrielle hadn't stopped it, Evan would have responded to the kiss. What on earth was happening?!

No one could believe it. Was there some inexplicable relationship between Fleur and Evan?

Evan gave Fleur a stern look and pulled Gabrielle, who was bewildered, to go to Divination class.

On the way, he repeatedly emphasized to Gabrielle that she was now Evan and asked her to mimic his usual appearance.

Gabrielle paid close attention afterward. Until they entered the Divination classroom and took their seats, there were no incidents.

The facts showed that, as a qualified teacher, Professor Trelawney remained very dedicated.

When making those tragic predictions, she didn't always target a specific student just because she didn't like them.

Evan discovered that she still had a theoretical system backing her up and wasn't speaking nonsense.

In previous Divination lessons, Evan, like Harry, had always been the focus of Professor Trelawney's attention.

All sorts of death predictions and tragic future scenarios had continuously emerged.

Most young wizards in the classroom were used to it, even indifferent!

But today, they were surprised to find that Professor Trelawney shifted her prophetic focus to Gabrielle and ignored Evan.

During the Divination class, they were learning to foresee through crystal balls.

In that cursed ball, Evan couldn't see anything except the desk lines distorted by the changing light.

The dim light in the teacher's room, filled with incense and warmth, made his eyelids droop, feeling drowsy.

"My dear!" suddenly Professor Trelawney approached and awakened Evan.

"Yes, Professor?" Evan looked at her and said, "Can I assist you?"

He was too familiar with Professor Trelawney's gaze. He thought he would be safe by becoming Gabrielle...

But no, Trelawney was staring at him with her large eyes, menacingly approaching him.

"There is something in your crystal ball, do you see it? Is it like a foreboding?" she said in an ethereal voice.

"No, I saw nothing!" Evan replied, prolonging his voice, and indeed it was the same old story.

However, the others suddenly regained their senses and focused all their attention on Evan.

"Professor, what is in Gabrielle's crystal ball?" asked a girl curiously.

"It is a shadow. Although I cannot see clearly what lies within, it is definitely not a good sign," said Professor Trelawney. "My dear, believe me, you will have a tragic fate; perhaps it is... death!"

"Damnation!" Upon hearing her words, the class recoiled, with an uneasy expression on their faces.

It was the first time they had seen Professor Trelawney say such things to someone other than Evan. How could Gabrielle have a tragic fate?

If that were the case, it would be because she had associated with Evan.

"Well, thank you for my prediction, professor," said Evan, standing up. "Excuse me... may I go to the restroom?"

"My dear, you are clearly being affected by the special energy vibrations in my classroom, which will make your fate so clear," said Professor Trelawney. "If you leave now, I'm afraid you won't have the chance to..."

"I'm sorry, but I really am in a hurry!" whispered Evan, getting up and leaving the classroom. He ignored Professor Trelawney, who looked despondent, as if she had been deprived of a sumptuous feast.

Then, she turned her attention to Gabrielle, disguised as Evan, and stared intently into her crystal ball.

There was nothing that seemed to interest him as usual, and it seemed that the psychic energy of today was not present.

When she heard that Evan was going to the bathroom, Gabrielle thought of something and worried a little.

"Teacher, I want to go too!" she said hastily and ran out of the classroom, leaving the other students looking at each other.

If Evan went to the bathroom now, would he go to the boys' or girls' one? That was a problem.

However, he had no intention of doing so; he simply didn't want to stay in front of Professor Trelawney.

Suddenly, he realized that Professor Trelawney was very perceptive. Although she couldn't have known that Evan and Gabrielle had swapped identities, it was not wise to let her stare into the crystal ball to make predictions. Who knew what awful words she would say! It was not wise to arouse suspicions!

Those predictions were highly unlikely to come true, but the sudden appearance of Gabrielle's prophecy was abnormal in itself.

He was about to leave at the end of the class, but a few seconds later, Gabrielle followed behind him.

For the next half an hour or so, the two of them stood on top of the North Tower, gazing out the window at the foot of the lake and the vast Forbidden Forest, chatting about the past. Time passed in a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere. Neither of them was in a hurry to return, and Professor Trelawney did not send anyone to fetch them.

As for why it took them so long to go to the bathroom, that led others to speculate blindly. Regardless, they would find out later.
