Beginning AN: here it is the next chapter. the Indigo League arc is on the home stretch first up is the Indigo League Tournament and after that the Elite 4 and the Kanto Region Champion Red finish it off. to make Hela savor her championship match with Red even more he'll be her father in this story. and no flame reviews on that topic since in the prologue I did mention Blue as Gary's father so it shouldn't be unexpected to bring in Red as Hela's father. now with that out of the way on with the story.
Chapter 13: Indigo League Tournament Qualifying Rounds.
Upon arriving in Pallet Town Titania, Hela, and Dawn went to inform Hela's mom about what happened and upgrade her trainer card with Professor Oak. Dawn was very confused when she found Delia hugging her in thanks for pushing her daughter and her lover out of the way of that attack. And also, was very happy to find out she was going to be a grandma when the egg hatched.
With Professor Oak he set up the trainer card but was otherwise a lot more accepting.
For the rest of the time before the league started, they trained their pokemon, while Mew and Mewtwo helped train them making sure all three of them. Though Vulpix was often close to Dawn, not quite over her close call with death.
The best part about being a psychic type is that they could teleport directly to the pokemon league for the tournament meaning they could get in as much training as possible.
They teleport in just in time to sign up and watch the torch bearer bearing Moltres' flame to run in and light the torch to start the indigo league conference.
"Hey how does the league work?" Dawn asked.
"First is the preliminary rounds." James explained. "In the preliminary rounds, 256 Trainers must compete on four different battlefields: Rock, Grass, Water, and Ice. All matches are of three Pokémon each. The battlefield is decided by a game of chance, and the competitors are chosen randomly by computer. Only Trainers who win on all four battlefields will progress to the final rounds."
"So you have to win four battles in a row to progress." Titania said.
"Then that's what I'll do." Hela cheered. "I plan to win it all."
The first match was on the water field against Mandi who starts off with Exeggutor while Hela sent out Chang'e who none of the competitors recognize.
Exeggutor starts off with Psywave only for Chang'e to knock it out with Moongeist Beam, before being switched to Athena as Mandi sends out Seadra. Seadra doesn't get to attack as Athena used Thunderbolt to knock him out immediatly. Mandi's final pokemon was Golbat who immediately started off with Double Team into Razor Wind, only for Athena to use rain dance into Thunder for the win.
"You did it!" Dawn cheered, causing Hela to look down at Eevee where Dawn was cheering from her head while both are wearing a cheerleading outfit with Eevee even standing on her back paws to join in.
"So that's why you had Titania shrink you." Hela said.
"Yeah, I wanted to cheer for you, but wasn't aloud in the box at normal size because I am not your pokemon." Dawn said as she hopped on Hela's hand as they left.
The second round was on the Rock field where Titania sweeped the opponent who used poison types like Nidorino. The third round was on the ice field against Pete Pebbleman who sent out Cloyster after his first pokemon was defeated. Cloyster tried to stay safe with Withdraw only for it to be completely useless to stop the Thunderbolt which used special attack, not attack. Pete's final pokemon was Arcanine who Athena started with Rain Dance to help quench the fire type moves only to pale when Arcanine uses fire blast after fire blast to melt the field and force Athena into the water. Angry she tried to use her minor psychic powers to toss the water at Arcanine and in the process somehow learned Surf, though she still needed a source of water...for now, but it gave her the win.
The final match was on the grass field against Jeanette Fisher who used Beedrill against Charmander, who still wearing an ever stone. Charmander dodged the Twineedle, and hit Beedrill in the back with a flamethrower, then used another one to burn the poison sting and hit Beedrill again for the win. Next up was Scyther who Jeanette was not happy to see Charmander catch the scythes in a fire fang and then land a point blank flamethrower for the win. The final pokemon was Bellsprout, who was flexible enough to cause problems for a physical attacker, but for a fire based special attacker Bellsprout easily went down to flamethrower.
"You did it!" Titania cheered after they went to the pokemon center and she grew Dawn back.
"That was a lot of fun watching." Dawn said before turning to Titania. "Will you do that with me during the contest circuit? As your pokemon it is possible."
"Maybe, contest battles are different then league battles." Titania said thinking, but also able to feel how excited Dawn was at the thought of battling in an official match. "You really caught the pokemon battle bug. Makes sense, it is used to make sure we can get stronger to survive."
Dawn laughed with pleasure before turning back to Hela. "I may be Titania's pokemon instead of yours so I can't help you in battle, but I can continue cheering you on."
Hela smiled as they headed to bed, Dawn letting Titania, and Hela sleep shrunken on her stomach as Eevee, Vulpix, and Athena slept curled up together on the pillow.
Meanwhile in the VIP lounge of the Indigo League Tournament at the same time as the qualifying rounds
the Elite 4 and Red are watching the Tournament and Red notices that one of the competitors that has made it to the finals is a pink Gardevoir and he decides to ask Mr. Goodshow "Who is the pink Gardevoir that's in the tournament?"
Mr. Goodshow says "that pink Gardevoir is actually your daughter Red."
Red is shocked and says "Daughter? i don't have a daughter I have a son named Ash."
Mr. Goodshow responds with "well that's a long story as to how your son is now your daughter."
Red responds with "tell me everything and leave nothing out."
and Mr. Goodshow tells Red everything that he's been told by Professor Oak who keeps him updated on every Pokemon Trainer who participates in the Pokemon League challenge.
Red is shocked that his son is now his daughter and that Giovanni was up to his old tricks again since he defeated him three times eleven years ago and on the final time Giovanni had put his organization on the line and lost but Giovanni isn't a tyrannical businessman for nothing so he brought back Team Rocket while Red was on his training sabbatical to Mt. Silver in the Johto region. and now his daughter has repeated history and that she made sure he will never be on the loose ever again.
Red decides then and there that should Hela win the tournament and defeat the Elite 4 they'll have a reunion that they'll never forget which if Hela defeats him she'll not only be the Kanto League champion but he'll join her on her journey.
and so he sits back and relaxes to enjoy the rest of the tournament.
Ending AN: that's the chapter. the Indigo League tournament has begun.
Next Time: Hela and Titania win the Indigo League Tournament and are invited to face the Kanto Elite 4 and they accept not knowing that at the end of the road to victory and being named Kanto Region Champion Red is going to be waiting for them.
