Slumber parties are overnight gatherings of young teens where they partake in various activities. Games, spooky stories, pillow fights, Truth or Dare, makeovers, gossip, and snacking—there is something for everyone at these parties to achieve fun, relaxation, decompression, and so on.
The best thing about slumber parties is that they can be thrown almost anytime, whether to unwind after a demanding school week, provide comfort and enjoyment to someone who had a very rough day, or simply because.
Just like tonight.
Within the Pie family's home, located in the den, was a signature Pinkie Pie Slumber Pie, hosted by the young party planner, entertaining two of her closest friends, Fluttershy and Sonata Dusk. To most, the latter being counted as a "friend" would be shocking, considering the ponytailed girl, plus her two friends, Adagio Dazzle and Aria Blaze, had been enemies to Pinkie and her fellow Rainbooms.
After their defeat at the Battle of the Bands, the Dazzlings ran away, not to be seen for several months, until the Mane 7 discovered them performing at the Starswirled Music Festival. Since then, the two groups kept randomly crossing paths, and after several attempts, the Rainbooms could make peace with the three Sirens, who joined their circle of friends not long after.
Usually, whenever the time for a sleepover arose, most if not all, the girls would attend, but tonight was not the case. Sunset and Adagio were out on a date, having developed romantic feelings for each other over time. Aria was doing Crossfit with Applejack and Rainbow Dash; being the "roughest" of the three, Aria did not take longto gravitate towards the two Rainbooms, eventually joining in their various competitions, like this evening. Twilight, claiming she had made a breakthrough on an experiment, was at her house, and Rarity had several dress orders she had to complete by tomorrow.
That just left Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Sonata, which was fine. The three planned on having fun regardless of the number of friends.
"Cupcakes."
"Tacos."
At least, that was the plan.
It started well enough, with the girls kicking off the night with a round of makeovers, doing each other's hair, painting nails, and doing makeup.
"Cupcakes!"
"Tacos!"
"Um… girls…"
After a few rounds of Truth or Dare, followed by a candy-themed board game, the slumber party was in full swing, and the air filled with the laughter of the three friends.
An hour in, the girls were getting hungry, so they broke out the snacks: popcorn, chips, soda, tacos (much to the delight of Sonata), and, of course, cupcakes, which Pinkie declaredthe Ultimate Sleepover Snack!
"Cupcakes!"
The comment got a playful scoff from Sonata, stating that tacos were the actual Ultimate Sleepover Snack.
"Tacos!"
Pinkie giggled as if the silly Siren had just made a joke, saying that cupcakes were the best, no question.
"Girls… please…"
Sonata did not appreciate that comment because she was no longer smiling. She bluntly retorted that tacos were better than cupcakes.
That got the smile on Pinkie's face to slide into a frown. She glared at the Dazzling, who glared right back. All the while, Fluttershy looked nervously between the two girls.
"Cupcakes!"
The next moment, Pinkie and Sonata were on their feet, standing toe-to-toe with each other, hands balled into fists down by their sides.
"Tacos!"
Fearing things were getting out of hand, Fluttershy quickly stood with them, feebly trying to get the two to calm down.
"Oh, dear…"
But no success.
"CUPCAKES!"
"TACOS!"
This brings us to the present: Pinkie Pie and Sonata Dusk in a shouting match, with Fluttershy anxiously watching and failing to appease the two of them.
"Cupcakes are the perfect party snack!" Pinkie passionately stated. "Personal-sized cakes topped with yummy, gooey frosting!"
"Puh-lease," scoffed Sonata. "Tacos blend mouth-watering flavors: meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream wrapped in a tortilla! All the food groups at once!"
"Yeah, except eating a bunch of them makes you fat!"
"Eating a bunch of cupcakes will make you fatter!"
"Tacos give you bad breath!"
"Cupcakes give you cavities!"
"Tacos give you gas!"
"Cupcakes give you diabetes!"
"GIRLS! STOP!" Fluttershy shouted, startling them and making them look at her in shock. Having gained their attention, the animal lover took a calming breath and spoke softly. "Now, yelling at each other will not settle this."
The two girls looked away from each other, looks of guilt on their pouting faces. At the same time, Pinkie's brain was brainstorming. This was supposed to be a fun slumber party, and their arguing had soured it worse than sour apple candy. This was something that Pinkie could not let continue. There had to be a way to go from angry yelling to happy laughter.
At that thought, the bell in Pinkie's head dinged, a smile appearing as her brain found the perfect solution.
"Fluttershy is right," Pinkie said, garnering the others' attention. "There is only one way to settle this." She then pointed at the blue Siren. "Sonata Dusk! I challenge you to… a tickle fight!"
Fluttershy's eyes widened as her jaw dropped open. Sonata blinked, tilting her head slightly in confusion.
"A tickle fight?"
"Absolutely! All this shouting is no fun," Pinkie explained. "Fun involves laughter, and tickling is one surefire way to get someone laughing. So, you and I can wrestle and tickle each other until one of us says "Uncle," and the loser admits that the winner's snack is superior! Then, we can get this sleepover back on track!"
"Is this a good idea, Pinkie?" Fluttershy asked, clearly worried. "Someone could get hurt."
"Don't worry, 'Shy," Pinkie assured her. "Limestone has got some wrestling mats stashed away that we can use. And we're not trying to hurt each other, just wrestling and tickling. You can even be our referee to make sure we stay safe!"
"Oh, dear," the animal lover sighed sullenly, having been drawn into the fiasco.
Pinkie turned back to Sonata, holding out her hand. "So, you game?"
"I'm game!" the Dazzling agreed, taking hold of the hand with her own and shaking it.
"Great!"
After moving things around to make space, the girls retrieved the mats from the garage, wiped them clean of dust, and placed them in the center of the room. It was then that Sonata brought up another issue.
"What are we going to wear while we do this? I didn't pack any workout clothes for the sleepover."
"No problem! We can wrestle in our underwear!"
"Oh, okay!" Sonata replied before grabbing the bottom of her pajama top and pulling it over her head, exposing her upper torso and the hot pink bra she wore.
"Eep!" Fluttershy squeaked, her face red as the Siren tossed the article aside before shimmying out of her pajama bottoms, revealing matching panties. "P-Pinkie… this isn't appropriate."
"Why not? We're all girls here," Pinkie pointed out. "It's no different than what we see in the locker room." The party planner quickly stripped off her pajamas, leaving her clad in baby-blue bra and panties.
While Fluttershy tried to get her nerves under control, the two competitors started doing some light stretching. Both were similarly built, skinny with a little bit of plumpness from their food choices; their breasts were average, Sonata was a smidge bigger than Pinkie, and both had cute, round bubble butts. Overall, both girls were beautiful.
After a few more minutes of stretching, Pinkie and Sonata stood a few feet apart, facing each other; both were smiling, their brows scrunched up in adorable determination. Having calmed herself a bit, Fluttershy moved to stand in front of them.
"Okay, girls," she said, the rare stern expression on her face as she looked between them. "Remember, no rough fighting; no punching, kicking, or anything that will leave marks or cause injuries—tickling only. Once one of you says "Uncle," you are to stop. You will get along and enjoy the rest of the evening when it is over. Agreed?"
"Yep!"
"Uh-huh!"
"All right, then. On your knees, please," Fluttershy instructed. After they complied, she took a few steps back, giving them room. "Okay, whenever you're ready, start."
After the temporary ref said that, both girls shuffled on their knees, inching closer to one another, and raised their hands, fingers outstretched and wiggling in anticipation. Pink hands clapped against blue hands, fingers interlocking, and now, the snack rivals engaged in a test of strength. Grunts of exertion filled the air as they pushed against each other, trying to gain the upper hand over the other.
They were at a stalemate for about a minute until, slowly but surely, Sonata started to gain ground; while she was not in her natural form, the pony-tailed girl did retain a little bit of her Siren strength, which made her a bit stronger than an average human. Pinkie started to sweat as she was pushed backward. She gave it her all, straining to the point her face flushed red from the effort, but, eventually, she was forced onto her back, with Sonata falling on top of her. "Oof!" escaped her lips as the breath was temporarily knocked out of her, which gave her opponent time to swing her legs over Pinkies before sitting up on her knees and straddling the pinned girl's stomach.
From her new perch, Sonata pinned Pinkie's hands to the mat; the pink-haired girl tried her hardest to resist, but she could not get any leverage due to her position. Pinkie's hands were eventually pressed to the cushioned surface. Next, Sonata brought the two pairs of hands together, overlapping Pinkie's hands over each other, before covering them with one of hers; this let the Siren free up her other hand, which she flexed her fingers like claws in front of her captive's paling face.
"Now," Sonata said sweetly, with a threatening undertone, "where to start?" She let her eyes roam over Pinkie's torso, thinking about her options. "Ahah!" she exclaimed a minute later, making her decision, and sent her seeking fingers to attack Pinkie's exposed armpit. The response was immediate.
"Eeeeeheheheeee!" Pinkie squealed, giggling madly as the invasive digits assaulted her underarm area, setting her surface nerves aflame. She wiggled and squirmed her body, trying to shift away from the attack, but the Dazzling quickly switched over to Pinkie's other armpit, continuing her tickle torture. This went on for a few minutes, with Sonata pausing now and again, giving Pinkie a chance to catch her breath for a few seconds before quickly resuming. Needing to escape, Pinkie planted her feet flat on the mat and quickly pushed her hips into a bridge. The sudden elevation change caught Sonata off guard, so she could not keep from falling forward. She was forced to put both hands on the floor to stop herself.
This freed both of Pinkie's hands, which immediately shot up to the blue Siren's vulnerable tummy, wiggling fingers sinking into the soft belly flesh. "Gaahahahahaaa!" Sonata cackled uncontrollably from the probing digits attacking her stomach. She tried to push herself up to free her hands, but her cotton candy-haired opponent kept her hips firmly raised, making it impossible for her to sit straight. Before too long, the tummy tickling became too much, and Sonata had no choice but to abandon her high-ground advantage. She threw herself to the side, curling her body to cushion her fall, and rolled out of Pinkie's reach.
Both girls quickly got to their hands and knees, turning to face each other. They were both lightly panting from the skirmish, an occasional giggle leaving their lips. Fluttershy was moving around them in a loose circle, observing.
After a brief hiatus, the match continued with Sonata shuffling along the mat as she charged Pinkie. The party planner was ready, though, zipping to the side, letting Sonata crawl past her a bit. Before the Siren could react, Pinkie latched onto her back, wrapping her arms and legs around Sonata's torso. The girl's weight forced Sonata to fall onto her front, but before she could push herself back up, Pinkie suddenly rolled, bringing the other girl with her, until she ended up on her back with Sonata on top of her. Pinkie was on her back, Sonata's back pressed against her front, and she had her wrapped up in her arms and legs.
The Dazzling struggled, bridging her hips, kicking her feet off the floor, pushing on the appendages holding her, but she could not break the Rainboom's solid grip. Finally, Sonata fell limp against Pinkie's torso, breathing heavily from the exertion. That is when her captor went on the offensive. The only warning she gave her was a whisper in her ear.
"Coochie-Coochie-Coo~"
Sonata's eyes opened wide as she cried out in laughter. She had not noticed Pinkie's arms unwrapping from around her chest, but she saw when she felt Pinkie's fingers now tickling her ribs. She resumed her struggles, squirming to escape the devious digits playing across her ribcage like a xylophone, but Pinkie kept her legs around the Siren's waist, keeping her in place. Switching tactics, Sonata reached back, grabbed Pinkie's hands with her own, and pulled them away from her body. Keeping her hands wrapped around the pink, tortuous extremities, she slowly regained her breath, believing she was temporarily safe.
It's too bad she underestimated Pinkie Pie's uncanny ability to improvise.
Her hands may have been trapped, but Pinkie had other methods. She demonstrated this by leaning in close and softly blowing a puff of air against Sonata's neck. This made the girl in her lap jolt with a gasp, a little shiver passing through her as goose bumps popped up on her blue skin. Sonata looked back, a panicked look in her eye that made Pinkie's mischievous smile grow.
"W-wait! Pinkie… don't!" the Dazzling pleaded frantically, which fell upon deaf ears as Pinkie lunged forward, planting her lips on Sonata's neck and giving the poor girl a raspberry. The Siren let out a squeal laced with giggles, quickly tucking her head into the crook of her neck to stop the assault. Pinkie, however, was not deterred, simply swerving her head around to the other side of the girl's neck and resuming her tickle attack. This went on for several seconds, Sonata desperately tilting her head to protect one side of her neck from the party girl's mouth, only for Pinkie to quickly switch over to the exposed side.
To make matters worse, with her focus split, the Siren inadvertently loosened her grip on Pinkie's hands, and before she could react, the party girl slipped her hands free. She immediately started tickling Sonata's exposed tummy, making her laugh even more. She again tried to grab the invading appendages. Still, they quickly zipped along the entire surface of her stomach, just keeping ahead of Sonata's hands, and it was difficult trying to pin them down when the Dazzling's concentration was continuously broken by the Pinkie's lips assaulting her neck.
"P-P-Pinkieheeheehee! Sto-hahahaha-ooop! I ca- hahahahahaha! I c-can't take iiiiiiit!"
Pinkie paused her tickling, giving Sonata a chance to breathe. "Sure, Sonata, but only if you say "Uncle" ~" she chirped.
Sonata fell silent for a moment before shaking her head stubbornly. "Never!"
"Okie-Doki-Loki." With that declaration, Pinkie resumed her ticklish torture, the air once again filling with the Siren's laughter.
In frustration, Sonata kicked her feet against the mat, a helpless whine mixing with her giggling. She weakly grasped Pinkie's hands but lacked the strength and concentration to remove them from her body. Getting desperate, she moved her own hands to the pink thighs wrapped around her waist and tried to push them away. However, she could not get a good grip; having wrestled for several minutes by now, the girls' bodies started getting sweaty, making them slightly slippery. Still, Sonata persisted, running her hands along Pinkie's legs to find some traction.
"Eeeek!" Pinkie suddenly squealed as the Dazzling's fingers brushed across sensitive areas on her inner thighs, making her loosen her leglock on her captive. Unfortunately for her, Sonata noticed this reaction and began retaliating, wiggling her fingers across the ticklish flesh. Pinkie's giggles soon joined Sonata's as they tickled each other. This went on for a few seconds before the party planner unwrapped her legs from the Siren's waist, spread them out, then moved her hands to Sonata's back and pushed the ponytailed girl away. She then shuffled backward, trying to gain some breathing room.
Unfortunately for her, Sonata had turned around by this point and, seeing her opponent trying to get away, quickly crawled on her hands and knees after Pinkie, who shuffled back faster.
But more is needed.
"Gotcha!" Sonata said as she lunged and managed to grab onto Pinkie's legs, stopping her in her tracks. Pinkie flailed about, trying to shake the Siren off, but the girl stubbornly held onto her lower limbs. Sonata freed one of her hands to tickle the squirming girl's thighs. Pinkie helplessly pounded her fists onto the mat as she laughed, unable to break free and forced to endure the sensation of Sonata's touch.
Suddenly, the tickling ceased, making Pinkie look down to see the Dazzling slowly crawling up her body. Nervousness and curiosity kept Pinkie still, wondering what her opponent was planning. Confusion soon joined the mix when Sonata stopped midway, her head hovering over Pinkie's stomach. The girl lowered her eyes to said stomach for a second before bringing them up to look at Pinkie's face again. A wicked smile spread across her lips.
"I owe you some raspberries."
Pinkie's eyes widened comically, knowing precisely what the devious Dazzling was about to do. She rapidly shook her head and frantically muttered, "No…nonononononononoooo." But Sonata was not swayed, lowering her head and placing her lips against the soft belly before delivering the most enormous raspberry possible. The sound was drowned out by Pinkie's high-pitched scream, which quickly gave way to uproarious laughter. She tried to wiggle away while pressing on Sonata's head, trying to push her away. Still, Sonata's body was lying on top of her legs, and her arms wrapped around Pinkie's waist, keeping herself locked in place to continue tickling the cupcake eater.
After several agonizing seconds, Sonata lifted her head from Pinkie's tummy, ceasing her ministrations, and looked at her opponent. Pinkie was gasping for air, her face red and unshed tears in her eyes. After catching her breath, she looked down to see Sonata's expectant expression.
"Say it," the Siren stated.
Knowing what she was referring to, Pinkie glared defiantly at the taco lover, reaching a hand up to her lips and pulling across them in a zipping motion. Lips now pressed into a thin line; she stubbornly shook her head.
"Oooh, you're gonna regret that!" Sonata taunted. She then took a deep breath and pursed her lips; her cheeks were puffed like a chipmunk. Giving Pinkie a narrowed look that promised no mercy, she faceplanted onto the girl's belly before blowing hard into the soft, pliable flesh.
Pinkie's eyes widened as the ticklish sensation sent her body into tremors. Her cheeks visibly puffed out like Sonata's had, a mouthful's worth of giggles wanting out. When her lips let out a couple of sputters, she threw her hands over her mouth, trying desperately to keep it closed. She made a valiant effort, but sadly, she could not stop the inevitable outcome. After a few more agonizing seconds, Pinkie let her hands drop, her mouth bursting open with a laugh.
The Siren relentlessly pelted Pinkie's tummy with raspberries for the next few minutes, making the party planner laugh uncontrollably. At the same time, Pinkie frantically flailed about, trying to escape her ruthless captor, but to no avail. At least, that is how it looked to the average observer. If one were to take a closer look, they would see that the Rainboom was slowly squirming to freedom. At this point, both wrestlers had worked up a good sweat, their bodies covered in light sheens of perspiration. This, combined with Pinkie's twisting back and forth, allowed the trapped girl to slip out of the Dazzling's grip gradually. Finally, with a considerable twist, Pinkie was able to pull free.
"Hey!" Sonata gasped, seeing her opponent slip away. She lunged to try and recapture the girl, but Pinkie quickly rolled to the side by this time, leaving Sonata to fall face-first to the mat. The ponytailed girl pushed herself up, gingerly rubbing her face. "Ouchies."
"Are you okay, Sonata?" Fluttershy asked, coming in closer to check on the Siren.
"Oh, yeah," Sonata assured her, waving her down. "I pretty much slam my face into hard surfaces all the time. That was nothing."
"Oh…" Fluttershy murmured, unsure how to feel about the girl's casual admittance. "Um… okay?"
Sonata looked to where Pinkie had escaped. The party planner sat a few feet away, leaning back on her hands to keep herself up. She was panting heavily, overseeing Sonata. "Nice try, Sonnie," Pinkie said after catching her breath. "Too bad I was just a little too slippery for you."
"Yeah, literally," Sonata commented, wiping a hand across her forehead to clear the sweat. "We're working up a sweat."
"You wanna throw in the towel so we can get some towels to dry off?"
"No way," the Siren refused. "I'm not giving up on my tacos. You admit defeat."
"Nuh-uh!" Pinkie shot back. "I will not let my cupcakes down!"
"So, do you two want to continue?" Fluttershy asked.
"Yes!" they both replied.
Both cupcake and taco combatants moved towards each other, meeting in the middle and wrapping their arms around each other, their match back on.
The two girls continued to wrestle for several minutes, rolling around the mat. Fluttershy followed but kept her distance as she monitored them. They were pretty much evenly matched; Pinkie would gain the upper hand for a time, then Sonata would gain the advantage for a bit; all the while, they tickled relentlessly, going for tummies, necks, armpits, any part of the body that elicited a about of laughter, that part was tickled. Both were getting tired, but neither the Rainboom nor Dazzling intended to stop, only once one forced a submission out of the other.
Finally, it seemed they reached the match's climax, with Sonata in control. She had Pinkie pinned, sitting on the girl's stomach, facing toward her legs; she had forced the girl's arms down to her sides, using her legs to keep them trapped. Only Pinkie's legs were free, which she kicked futilely to try and dislodge the Siren. Sonata then hugged one of those flailing limbs to her chest. Then, she wrapped a hand around the ankle, stilling the dainty pink foot attached.
"W-wait," Pinkie blurted, suddenly nervous. "What are you gonna do?"
Sonata hummed, pretending to think about the answer, tapping a finger against her chin. She held her free hand to the side, letting Pinkie see it. She spread her fingers out, displaying her bubblegum pink-colored nails. After admiring them momentarily, she looked over her shoulder, catching Pinkie's wide eyes. "You did an awesome job painting my nails, Pinkie." She openly wiggled her fingers, keeping eye contact with her captive.
"No…" Pinkie whispered, realizing what was coming. She shook her head rapidly, her voice rising in volume and pitch. "No! Not that! Anything but that! Please, Sonnie, have mercy!"
"Oh, I'll show you mercy," Sonata said sweetly. "All you need to do is say "Uncle," and I'll spare you."
The party planner instantly opened her mouth, the word already coming up her throat, but then, she snapped it shut, denying departure for the word. She was sweating bullets-well, sweating more than before the problem before her. Now that she thought about it, she was amazed that neither had targeted the other's feet throughout the match. That was her ultimate weak spot, a spot that now her snack rival was about to target. It wasn't looking good. On the one hand, if she gave up now, she would avoid further tickle torture. On the other foot, if she refused, the Siren would commence the tickling, and given how sensitive her feet were, it wouldn't be long before she called it quits anyway.
"Well, Pinkie?" Sonata spoke, bringing Pinkie back to the present. She was curling her fingers, brandishing them like nails. "What do you say?"
Pinkie's lips trembled, and a word on her tongue was waiting to spring free. She was reluctant to speak it but knew she was delaying the inevitable. Finally, she opened her mouth and spoke the word.
"No."
Fluttershy gasped.
Surprised by Pinkie's choice, Sonata blinked before shrugging with a devious smile. "So be it."
With that, Sonata brought her hand down to the captured foot, extended her index finger, and gently dragged the manicured nail slowly across the bottom.
The result was a loud, shrill scream followed by wailing laughter.
Pinkie thrashed wildly as Sonata gave her foot light scritches, guffawing madly at the pins and needles sensation assaulting her. Unfortunately, the Siren mounted upon her victim, dancing her nails from heel to toe before reversing their course. She then grasped at the heel, imitating the mechanics of a claw machine, her nails lightly scraped across the rounded surface, making Pinkie squeal.
At one point, Sonata paused in her ministrations, giving Pinkie a brief respite. Very short, as she quickly moved her attention to the curling members of the foot. "This little Pinkie went to the market," she narrated, lightly pinching Pinkie's pinkie toe between her nails, making Pinkie's laughter even higher in pitch. She gently rolled it around in a lazy circle for a few rotations before releasing it and moving to the next toe.
All the while, Pinkie was slowly going mad, giggling, and laughing uncontrollably. Her face was red from being nearly breathless for the last few minutes, and tears were flowing freely from her eyes.
This was becoming too much. As much as Pinkie enjoyed laughing, though she knew there was a limit, Sonata's tickling pushed her past that limit.
"Hahahahaha… U-hahah… Unc-… Unc-hahahahah!"
Sonata slowed her fingers but kept her nails in contact with Pinkie's foot. "What was that, Pinkie?"
Fluttershy moved closer, leaning down to look at Pinkie. "Are you submitting?"
Pinkie was breathing heavily, her giggling dying down a little. She remained silent for a moment, having second thoughts. Those thoughts soon flew out the proverbial window when Sonata briefly wiggled her fingers in warning, making Pinkie jolt with giggles. "Okay… okay…" she whimpered. With a gulp, she spoke up. "Unc-"
Suddenly, time seemed to slow for the Rainboom, the word halting on her tongue. Her eyes darted in confusion as Sonata, Fluttershy, and her house seemed to blur.
"Don't give up, Pinkie!"
Pinkie turned her head towards the voice, her eyes landing on the snacks. Of all the treats laid out, one group remained sharp in her vision: the cupcakes. Suddenly, the little confections started to tremble, and, one by one, the cupcakes popped up from the foil wrappings, revealing they each had Pinkie's face; their hair was the frosting, the same color as hers.
"Remember what you're fighting for!" one Cupcake Pinkie called.
"We're the ultimate slumber party snack!" another followed up.
"More importantly, we are your ultimate all-round snack!"
"Show that cute taco lover who's boss!"
"Pinkie! Pinkie! Pinkie! Pinkie! Pinkie!" they all chanted.
Feeling her spirits bolstered by her cupcake counterparts, Pinkie smiled in determination. Pinkie planted her free foot onto the floor as time resumed, giving Fluttershy and Sonata her answer.
"No… I… do not… SUBMIT!"
With that declaration, she pushed her leg up, bridging her hips. Took unprepared for the sudden movement, Sonata fell backward, losing her grip on Pinkie's foot. She landed on her back, and before her suspended legs could follow her, Pinkie rolled over onto her hands and legs instantly. She then grabbed Sonata's legs and, with a twist, turned the Siren onto her stomach. Releasing one of the legs, Pinkie maneuvered herself around and sat on the small of Sonata's back, eliciting an "oof" from the prone girl.
Pinkie was facing away from Sonata's head and now had the Dazzling in a one-legged Boston Crab. Typically, this hold inflicted pain on the opponent by pulling the leg past its normal range of motion. However, Pinkie was not looking to cause Sonata pain. It was to give her a taste of her own medicine by getting a little taste herself.
"My turn!" She declared, bringing Sonata's foot close to her face and dragging her tongue along the entire foot length without a preamble.
Just as she was hoping, Sonata shrieked in laughter from the contact. The Siren appeared to share the same weakness as her, and Pinkie intended to capitalize on it. The pink-haired girl started licking up and down on the foot; hysterical giggling from her opponent was music to her ears.
"No…! N-no fahahahahahaha… No fffffair-heeheeheeheeee!" Sonata squealed, beating her hands against the mat as Pinkie assaulted her foot with a wet weapon. She quickly looked to their temporary referee. "S-she cahahahaan't do that! Caaaaan sheheeheeheehee?!"
Fluttershy looked completely flustered, staring at Pinkie licking Sonata's foot as if it were an ice cream cone. She snapped out of it when she heard Sonata questioning her. She looked at the frantic ponytailed-haired girl, who was looking at her with pleading, tear-filled eyes. She then looked to Pinkie again, who had heard Sonata's words. She paused in her attack and looked at Fluttershy.
"Technically, this isn't against the rules," Pinkie stated matter-of-factly. "It's not punching or kicking and won't leave any marks. Maybe some saliva, but no real marks."
Fluttershy looked contemplative, thinking over the words for a moment. She then turned and looked at Sonata apologetically. "Sorry, Sonata, but I agree with Pinkie. Unless she is causing you pain, I cannot stop it. Is she hurting you?"
"Well… nnnnnoooooo…" Sonata admitted meekly.
"Then I'm afraid the only way to make her stop is for you to say "Uncle."
Sonata stubbornly shook her head. "I'm not saying it!"
"We'll seeee~!" Pinkie sang before resuming her tongue-lashing.
Sonata let out a keening whine as the wet muscle slid across her foot again, overwhelming her senses. After a few minutes, Sonata made one last desperate attempt to escape. Planting her hands and her free foot onto the floor, she pushed with all her strength and bucked her hips, managing to knock Pinkie off her. With the weight off her back, she quickly got to her hands and knees and shuffled away from her tormentor. However, she didn't get far as she felt a pair of hands wrap around her ankles and stop her in her tracks.
"Oh, no, you don't!" Pinkie said, dragging the poor girl back to the middle of the mat. She then planted herself again on the Siren's back, only this time, she had both of Sonata's legs in her grasp. Holding an ankle in each hand, she brought both feet to her face and gave both appendages a tongue bath. Sonata wailed in laughter, pounding her fists on the mat in frustration; she no longer had the strength to fight off Pinkie and was forced to endure the tortuous tickling.
A few minutes later, the party planner kicked it up a notch. After giving both feet a good sheen of saliva, she turned her attention to Sonata's ten dainty toes. She started by taking one of the big toes into her mouth and gently sucking on it. This made Sonata squirm and squeal. Pinkie kept this up for a minute before pulling the toe free with a "pop" and starting on the next. She continued, attending to each toe, occasionally tonguing the space between the toes.
By this point, Sonata lightly banged her head to the mat, not enough to hurt but enough to distract her from Pinkie's ministrations. Her face had gone from its usual blue to beet red due to the lack of oxygen she was unable to pull into her lungs due to the constant giggling she was forced to elicit. Her eyes clenched tight, though that did little to stop the tears flowing down her face. It was a miracle that she had lasted this long, her feet as ticklish as Pinkie's. She was not sure how much more she could endure.
What the Rainboom did next would be the straw that broke the camel's back.
By now, Pinkie was no longer content with licking the cute little toes. When she took a pinkie toe into her mouth this time, she carefully took it between her teeth and gently bit down. Sonata screamed; the bite did not hurt, but it shot, stimulating tingles in her brain, and it overwhelmed her senses. When Pinkie released her toes, Sonata wanted to slump in relief as the tingling started to fade, but then Pinkie bit the next toe, and the tingling flared up again, making Sonata scream out again. The sensation seemed to build upon itself as the pink-skinned girl nibbled down the row.
Until finally…
"Uncle! Uncle! UncleUncleUncleUncleUncleUncleUncle!" Sonata babbles manically, the words quickly blending into an unending stream.
"Okay, Pinkie, Sonata has submitted it. You can let her go," Fluttershy instructed. She breathed a sigh of relief, glad it was over and no one got hurt. So why was Sonata still laughing so hard? She looked again; Pinkie had not released Sonata; her eyes were closed, and she still had the girl's toes in her mouth. "Pinkie, stop, the match is over." By now, Sonata looked like she was about to pass out, but Pinkie kept tickling her. Fluttershy stomped over to her and gripped her shoulder in a rare show of force. "PINKAMENA DIANE PIE! STOP, NOW!"
Upon hearing her full name, Pinkie ceased her toe biting and looked up in shock, not used to seeing her demure friend be so stern. "Huh?"
"It is over; you won! Let her go!" Fluttershy ordered her.
This seemed to get through to Pinkie, who instantly let go of Sonata's foot and quickly stood up. Fluttershy's words finally hit her. Thanks to the Cupcake Pinkies, she persevered and pulled out a victory. She won!
But two things kept her from celebrating. First, Fluttershy stood before her, arms crossed with a scolding look. She counted the lucky stars that her friend did not use "The Stare" on her. And the second…
The sound of quiet sobbing.
She quickly looked down at the source. Sonata had remained on the ground, her head tucked into her arms, and her shoulders were shaking.
Pinkie's hands flew to her mouth in horror, tears filling her eyes as she came to a terrible conclusion.
She had made Sonata cry.
Both Rainbooms gently helped the crying Sonata to the couch, wrapped her in a blanket, and got her a glass of water. Fluttershy had fetched a cold washcloth from the bathroom and sat next to the girl so she could gently dab around her eyes and wipe her face clean. After a few minutes, the Dazzling had calmed down. She looked gratefully to Fluttershy in thanks. She then turned to her other side, where Pinkie sat. The party girl's hair had lost curls and was hanging around her guilt-ridden face. Seeing the usually bright and cheerful girl look so downtrodden was strange.
She opened her mouth to talk to her, but Pinkie cut her off.
"I'm so sorry, Sonata," she whimpered. "I'm sorry for hurting you. I didn't think I was biting that hard."
"You were biting her?" Fluttershy gasped before frowning at her friend. "Pinkie Pie, you said you would only wrestle and tickle and not do anything that would leave marks. How could you?"
"I wasn't trying to hurt her; I was only nipping her toes to tickle her," Pinkie quickly explained. "Like when she used her nails on my foot. It didn't hurt, just very ticklish."
Fluttershy opened her mouth to chastise her but stopped when Sonata grabbed her hand, looking at her pleadingly.
"Please, don't be mad at Pinkie," Sonata begged. "She didn't hurt me at all." She turned back to Pinkie. "And I'm the one who should be saying sorry."
Pinkie blinked owlishly. "For what? You didn't do anything wrong."
Sonata shook her head. "Yes, I did. I got into a fight with you over tacos."
"It's okay, Sonnie," Pinkie said, gently taking hold of Sonata's other hand. "You weren't the only one. I let myself get worked up, too."
Sonata fell silent for a moment, gathering her thoughts. She took in a deep breath and let it out. "It's not that I hate cupcakes or anything. I like cupcakes. But ever since I first tasted a taco, I was instantly hooked. Whenever my friends and I had a rough day, or Aria and I argued with each other for whatever stupid reason, eating tacos always made me feel better. It was one of the few things I'm passionate about." She had a slight smile on her lips as she reminisced. "You girls were so kind to us, trying to make peace with us, even after everything that went down during the Battle of the Bands. You let us into your group and hung out with us, letting us get to know each of you. For the first time in centuries, I had real friends aside from Adagio and Aria." The smile then slipped into a frown, a look of shame donning her face. "And then I had to go and throw away that friendship by fighting over food."
"Sonata," Fluttershy gasped. "Did you think we would stop being your friends over an argument?"
The Siren didn't speak, but she let out a tiny whimper, confirming the answer.
"Oh, no, Sonnie," Pinkie cooed softly, letting go of Sonata's hand to wrap the poor girl up in a warm hug. "We would never do that. Friends sometimes fight, even over silly things. Our group certainly does."
"You do?" Sonata asked, surprised by this admission.
"Of course," Fluttershy answered, adding herself to the hug. "We may get along most of the time and do a lot of fun things together, but that does not mean we all like the same things."
"Yeah," Pinkie picked up. "So what if we have different favorite snacks? That doesn't mean we can't be friends; it just means we must agree or disagree on our favorites."
Sonata looked back and forth between the two girls, comforting her, a cautious hope shining in her eyes. "You mean… we're still friends?"
"Of course we are!" Pinkie confirmed, tightening the hug, even nuzzling her cheek against Sonata's. This pleased the Siren, who wrapped her arms around the sweet girls.
After several comfortable moments, the three pulled apart, the mood in the room now more amicable.
"Feeling better?" Pinkie asked the Dazzling.
"Yeah," Sonata nodded. She flushed bashfully. "Sorry again for killing the fun."
"I'm sorry, too," Pinkie said before brightening. "What say we get this slumber party back on track?"
"Sounds like a wonderful idea," Fluttershy replied happily, relieved the fighting was finally over. "So, what should we do next?"
Before anyone could suggest something, a loud rumbling caught everyone's attention. Looking for the source, they came to Sonata holding a hand over her tummy. She looked up, giggling bashfully.
"All that wrestling has made me hungry."
"Me, too," Pinkie agreed. "Next activity of the sleepover: food!"
"Sounds good," Fluttershy said, feeling a little peckish herself. "What should we have?"
"Cupcakes/Tacos!"
Everyone froze, silence once again filling the room. The two girls who had spoken were wide-eyed and jaws gaping as they looked at each other.
"Oh, no," Fluttershy moaned pitifully. "Not again."
Her comment was ignored as the other two stared at one another. Neither moved, never breaking eye contact or uttering another word.
Finally, Sonata shrugged with a smile.
"Agree to disagree?"
This made Pinkie smile as she, too, shrugged.
"Agree to disagree!"
"Oh, thank goodness," Fluttershy muttered, slumping against the couch.
All three suddenly burst into giggles, the tension in the air immediately dissipating.
Suddenly, Pinkie gasped. Her hair, which had slowly regained some of its volume earlier, instantly burst into its natural curliness.
"I… have… the best… idea… EVER!" she cheerfully declared, shooting up from the couch.
"What is it, Pinkie?" Sonata asked.
"You leave it to me!" the exuberant girl grabbed the TV remote from the couch's side table and turned on the television, followed quickly by the DVD player. "You just sit back and enjoy the movie!"
She zipped into the kitchen, leaving the other two girls bemused. They looked at each other, shrugged, and focused on the screen. The movie Pinkie put on was "Stormy with a Side of Pudding," Pinkie's all-time favorite movie. She had been trying to get the others to watch it numerous times, but they never got around to it. However, she finally had at least two friends around to watch it tonight.
While Fluttershy and Sonata watched the film, they could faintly hear Pinkie moving about the kitchen, jostling cookware while humming to herself. About 30 minutes into the movie, Pinkie emerged from the kitchen, grabbed a few sodas from the snack table, and joined her friends in front of the TV. When asked what she was making in the kitchen, she said, "It's a surprise!" The girls decided not to press for details and watched the movie.
"You know, they use real pudding!"
"For realzies?"
"For realzies!"
Another half-hour later, there was a "ding" from the kitchen.
"Ooh, they're done! BRB!"
Pinkie returned to the kitchen, leaving Sonata and Fluttershy alone again. Both girls were curious as to what Pinkie was cooking up. Fifteen minutes later, Pinkie emerged from the kitchen again, carrying a sizeable lid-covered plate, which she placed on the coffee table in front of the girls. With a flourish, she removed the lid, presenting her creation. "Ta-da!"
What looked like a dozen cupcakes sat on the plate, white frosting on top, sprinkled with tiny red cubes, and garnished with little green strips.
"Cupcakes?" Fluttershy questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Pinkie, we already have cupcakes out here-"
"Wait!" Sonata blurted, gazing intensely at the cupcakes. She took a couple of sniffs, a familiar scent filling her nose. Her eyes widened as she pointed at the cupcakes. "Pinkie, are those…?"
"Taco Cupcakes!" Pinkie revealed with a massive smile on her face. "I whipped up some batter, mixed in some cooked beef and shredded cheddar cheese! The frosting is sour cream, the sprinkles are chopped tomatoes, and the garnish is shredded lettuce!" She picked one up and presented it to the Siren. "Two ultimate snacks mixed into one doubly ultimate snack!"
Sonata took the cupcake, mesmerized. Licking her lips, she gingerly opened her mouth and took a bite. Amid chewing, her eyes widened as the taste of meat, melted cheese, and sour cream hit her tastebuds. A moan of ecstasy rumbled in her throat. Swallowing, Sonata looked at Pinkie in awe. "This… is… so… good!" she declared, a happy smile on her sour cream-covered lips, which she quickly swept up with her tongue a second later.
"I'm happy you like it, Sonnie," Pinkie said joyfully. "I figured that we both could enjoy this snack together."
Sonata felt tears building in the corners of her eyes, genuinely touched by the gesture. "Thank you, Pinkie. You are a good friend."
"You, too, Sonata," Pinkie returned, smiling with happy tears of her own.
The three friends sat on the couch, munching on the freshly made snacks. Even Fluttershy found the treat tasty. They continued watching the entertaining movie, enjoying each other's company.
After a few minutes, Pinkie leaned over to whisper to the Siren. "You know, Sonnie, despite the silly reason, I had fun tickle wrestling with you."
Sonata blushed a little as she giggled. "Me, too. Maybe we could do it again sometime."
"Absolutely. But don't worry, I promise not to lick your feet next time."
"Well, let's not get carried away," Sonata replied before lowering her voice to sound seductive. "It's not like I didn't enjoy it."
Pinkie's eyes widened in shock, her face going from pink to red in record time. Sonata kept up the lusty look for a moment before she giggled, giving the flustered girl a wink and a playful shoulder nudge. Before long, Pinkie was giggling, too, throwing her arm around Sonata's shoulders to give her a side hug.
While the sleepover had gotten a little rocky, it eventually became a successful, fun-filled evening for the three friends.
