"Back again" commented (Y/N), upon seeing an all too familiar Arc Trooper enter the small medbay. Kix had looked around upon hearing her soft voice, the moment his golden eyes found Echo standing there with Fives, he knew what was going on. To which he offered a brotherly smile and shook his head, waving to Fives to join him on the opposite end of the small area. Echo just offered a sheepish grin, as he rub the back of his neck. He cautiously walked over to the medic nicknamed Snap seconds later. Trying his hardest to think of a reason he was there, other than to see her again.

"He's come with me. Made sure I didn't run away again" commented Fives, offering a way out for Echo. At least so he didn't have to make up an injury as he had done the last time. Snap had noticed nothing was wrong but still gave him a look over, before sending him on his way again. Still, she had been kind and gentle, even answering some of the questions Echo had nervously asked. (Y/N) nodded before returning to her previous job, cleaning down the area to ensure it remained sterile. Echo stood silently nearby, as if suddenly unsure of what to do now, or if he should even be there.

"If have the time, I could use your muscles for something" softly spoke (Y/N), her voice breaking the comfortable-ish silence to have fallen over the four there. Kix tended to Fives's wound effortlessly, not saying a word as he attempted to keep his comments under control, even more so when he knew how Snap would respond. Echo looked round to her, curiosity shining in his honey eyes, ready to help with anything she asked of him. His heart over riding his mind in seconds.

"She needs help moving the supply boxes from the store room" announced Kix, breaking the silence once again. "General requested the medbay is stocked at all times. We fell behind with the recent battles" explained the clone medic, recalling every time either himself or Snap had turned their attention to restocking, something had happened. Whether that being the Resolute being attacked by Grievous or being called to another battlefield. Something had always popped up.

"Lead the way" voiced Echo, not bothering to think twice before following behind (Y/N), ignoring the comments to escape both Kix and Fives, comments he hoped Snap hadn't heard. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do"had been the comment to escape Five's lips, a small brotherly chuckle had escaped him shortly after, followed by an Ow! when Kix had put a little too much pressure on his wound. "Have fun"had been Kix's comment, a small wave to follow. Echo had debated whether they were joking or teasing him, so much so that he'd almost walked into Snap when she stopped at the elevator.

"Thank you" spoke Snap, as the pair entered the elevator to head down to the large storage room. A gentle grin appeared on her lips upon witnessing the confusion passing over the Arc Troopers' features, she couldn't help the small chuckle of amusement to escape her. "For helping me. Plus it's nice to see you without an injury" added the civvi medic, poking fun at Echo by informing him she was well aware of the many made-up injuries, just as the pet names hadn't gone unnoticed either.

Echo's cheeks soon began to heat up, he'd been under the impression she hadn't picked up on his terrible attempts to flirt with her. He thought he'd been clever and hidden it well. Only to find out now, Snap had noticed but had kindly not called him out for it. Instead, she played along, at least most of the time.

"And here I thought I was being subtle" replied the Arc Trooper, a smirk appearing on his lips upon the elevator doors opening, once again being a gentleman and allowing Snap to exit first. "So that's where Rex hides" whispered Echo, pointing over to the Captain of the 501st, when (Y/N) turned her attention to him. Her grin once again appeared, although she didn't look too surprised to see him there.

"You have the same tell as Wolffe" called Snap, playful laughter escaping her when Rex jumped and turned around quickly. He shook his head moments later, upon realizing it was only Snap and Echo. "I assume your down here for the same reason too?" laughed (Y/N), although she didn't elaborate much further, upon receiving a nod from Rex in response. Hidden behind the creates next to him was a caf machine and a holopad. Snap made a mental note to bring a few comfortable cushions down and a blanket or two if only to ensure Rex was a little more peaceful in the nook behind the crates. She'd done the same thing for Wolffe upon discovering his secret hideaway.

Before Echo could speak to voice his confusion, Snap gently took hold of his armored arm and pulled him towards the crates with the large red medical cross printed on them. Echo soon got hold of the trolley nearby, glancing over to where Rex had been, before returning his attention back to Snap. Who had by now begun rummaging through the medical crates to find the supplies needed. Upon doing so she carefully placed each box onto the trolley, with at least one attempt to shift a crate or two onto it. To which Echo wordlessly helped her with a small chuckle escaping him.

"Are you always this stubborn?" questioned Echo, moving to help with another metal crate, if only so she could access the one below and discover what was stashed away inside.

"Did you have to ask Eyayah?" retorted (Y/N), effortlessly switching to Mandoa, almost as if she hadn't realized she'd done so.

"You know Mandoa" commented the Arc Trooper, although his phrasing made it sound more like a question. Snap simply nodded, while placing a few other things on the trolley, satisfied she had enough supplies to restock the small medbay, the smaller store room, and Kix's pack, in case they be called into impromptu action again.

"My grandmother taught me and Devika as children" answered (Y/N), slowly opening up about her family. Although the sadness she normally had, when talking about them rang through again. Her pain and hurt were so obvious, yet she never elaborated much when asked why.

"Aren't your family worried about you being on the front lines?" questioned Echo, finding himself hoping against the odds. Just as he felt his anger bubble to realize she'd been hurt by someone close to her, a family member. As the words left Echo's lips, he regretted not stopping himself, the tears to appear in Snap's eyes, the moment she looked away and appeared to close herself off again. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't .."

"My sister Devika, andba'buir send me messages every other day. They were supportive of me doing this but they worry" quietly responded (Y/N), her words truthful but still full of hurt and sadness. "My elder sister and parents likely don't even realize I'm gone. Isolde is getting married soon, all attention will be on her" added Snap, wrapping her arms around herself, before closing the lid of the last crate, doing her best to ignore the expression painted on Echo's features. Doing her best to push the feelings of heartbreak and betrayal back, and forget the memories of Octavius and how her world had been so carelessly shattered.

Echo didn't think twice before stepping towards her, pulling her towards him, until her head gently rested against his armored chest. Right over the blue handprint. He felt for her, just as he could practically feel her pain radiating from her small frame. It all made sense to him now, why Rex was secretly so protective, why Fox had personally escorted her aboard, and why Wolffe had been reluctant to let her go. All of them had seen her hidden pain and wanted to ensure nothing could hurt her like that again.

"You've got a family with us Mesh'la, always" whispered Echo, making his words a silent promise. As he did his best to offer her comfort, one of his hands stroking through her silky jasmine-scented hair. He spotted Rex from the corner of his eye, the upper half of his body poking around from the stack of crates he was sitting on earlier. Concern bright in his golden eyes, it being clear he'd heard her pain-filled words too.

(Y/N) wasn't sure when her flood barriers had broken, all she knew was she was crying against Echo's armored chest. For the first time crying in front of someone else, instead of holding back her pain-filled tears long enough to make it back to her quarters, or find a closet somewhere to hide in. As her tears began to slow, her embarrassment started to grow. She'd never broken down before, she'd never failed to hold back all the pain, and those who knew had been discreet about it, well most of the time.

"I'm sorry" whispered (Y/N), pulling away from the warmth and comfort Echo offered to her. The moment she did, she yearned for more, to be close to him again. Like with so many clones, Snap felt safe with him, protected. "I didn't mean to break down like that" quickly stuttered Snap, tripping over her words, as she tried to find the right ones.

"There's nothing wrong with breaking down Snap" calmly spoke the Arc Trooper, as they headed back towards the elevator, once again leaving Rex to enjoy his peace and quiet just a little longer. "You don't need to hide your pain away, it's not a weakness. You're an angel to most of us, hence why so many are protective of you" admitted Echo, although not saying he was one of them on the long list.

"Hm, I don't think I've been called an angel before" spoke (Y/N), a small smile painting itself on her lips, as Echo made another comment calling her Angel Snap. A chuckle escaped him, as they re-entered the elevator in order to head back up the medbay. The pair already guessing they would get some sort of questioning, despite it feeling like only a few minutes had passed. The truth was time had flown by. Echo knew for sure Fives would have something to say, as Kix likely would. Although the medic would likely hold back his comments until he returned to the barracks again.

"Be prepared for the teasing" voiced Snap, seeing Echo's golden eyes shine with confusion again. "Fives, Jesse, Hardcase. Probably Tup and Kix too" chuckled the civvi medic, displaying just how observant she had been. Echo soon began to nod, a light sigh escaping from him. Even more so when he knew her words held truth to them.
