I grinned as I walked out of the coffee shop, practically skipping to my baby as I did.

As I rode home, I thought about the possibilities of investing in Seth's expansion proposal. The pros and cons, possibilities and benefits of doing this expansion.

It might be a good thing for all of us. Business-wise. I had no doubt in my mind that with Seth as head of the project, it would be very beneficial once I looked at everything.

Even as I got home, and had a quick session with my shower head, I couldn't calm my erratic mind enough to sleep until the late hours of the night… and I knew why. It was that asshole that Seth introduced me to earlier. Fucking Edward Cullen.

My gut told me he was going to present problems in the future, I only hoped that for once I was wrong. Because the last gut feeling I had, I ended up having to leave Forks.

Even as I lay there, staring blankly at an old black-and-white sitcom from the 50s I could feel sleep evade me and I hated this feeling.

When sleep finally came, the only thing I dreamt about was that annoying smirk and pair of bright green eyes. Damn it, Seth, this is all your fault.

I woke sometime around five and couldn't fall back to sleep so I decided to go for a long run, before making my way back home. I arrived back at my house, kicked off my shoes by the door, and stripped out of my clothes before padding my way to my bathroom.

I showered quickly, before drying myself and padding to my closet to put on some clothes. I opted to wear a pair of black jeans, and a nice Khaki sweater, opting to wear the black shin-length flat boots.

Opting to leave my hair down in smooth waves, deciding to apply a small amount of makeup on my face before heading out.

I arrived earlier than anyone, besides the security team, and quickly got to work on the work I hadn't finished the day before.

It was around right then that Bree arrived, quickly making her presence known by bringing me a Starbucks Peppermint Mocha and a few baked goods in a brown paper bag and a notebook, ready to take notes for today.

"Good morning, Boss Lady," she greets, smiling widely as I slowly take a sip of the coffee.

"Good Morning, Bree. Did Jen turn in the manuscripts I asked for yesterday by any chance?" I asked as I began to type the email to the H.R for her quick dismissal.

"No, Actually Tyler, one of the members of the I.T. group brought this in yesterday after you left for the day." She replied as the small Manila folder.

I gave her a skeptical look before turning towards her completely and extending my hand for the folder. I silently read the information before slamming the folder shut in fury.

"Get Jenks on the phone A.S.A.P., and call the security downstairs, tell them to have Jen escorted into the meeting room as soon as she gets here, also get my lawyers on the phone." I instructed as I watched her rush out of the room.

Fucking hell, this day was going to be long. What I didn't realize was exactly how long this day was going to be.

As promised, Seth brought me the business proposal, layouts, and prints the next afternoon. His ass was laughing the entire time I checked the plans.

"Seth, if your ass doesn't stop laughing at me, you can take your ass to the bank and have them give you the loan, m'kay," I told him, smiling at him dryly.

It took him a few tries to stop, but when he finally did, he cleared his throat, keeping the smile on his face, chuckling occasionally. "Alright, alright. I am sorry. But you gotta admit it was fucking hilarious. Edward wouldn't stop asking for your number. He is very interested in you. Well, your ass but that's still a part of you." He said, teasingly.

I scoffed at him, before taking a sip of the delicious coffee he brought me as a sign of truce. "Seth, I—I don't have time to be dating at the moment, you know this." I softly say, turning towards the computer to check my email, along with the documents Seth had brought me.

"Bee, that's because you don't give yourself the chance to date. Come on, not all the guys out there are dicks, pricks, and douches like Barry, Miles, and Calvin. There are more tuna in the sea as Leah said, or some shit like that. You can't be living in the past, Bee, even you have said so yourself. The thing is you gotta let the past die if you want to move on." He states raising his brow at me.

I let out a small laugh, before shaking my head at him amused. "The phrase is 'there are more fish in the sea', you halfwit." I corrected him, amused, before answering his other comment. "Look, Seth, I get that you're trying to help me… but I would greatly appreciate it if you don't try to set me up with any more assholes. I get it, everyone is getting married and having babies at my age, and that is completely fine, for them, but I— I already tried the whole dating thing and it ended with Miles in the hospital and Jacob with a kick in the nads. So, I would greatly appreciate all of your concern but I'd rather be branded as the crazy spinster aunt than keep going out with the assholes all of you set me up with." I explained as I set down the plans.

"I understand that but… Bee, we're not getting any younger, and your biological clock is ticking… Besides, come on, my mom is pressuring me to get married… and have grandchildren…" he trailed off nervously, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"Well, to get married you first need to start looking for a poor girl who is willing to date you… though having grandchildren probably would be easier for you, I mean all you have to do is fuck… well you do need to know where to put it first, but that shouldn't be too hard for you…" I point out, dryly.

"Hey, I resent that…!" He grumbles, pouting childishly as he stared at the back wall.

"...and I resent all of you ganging up on me just because I refuse to go back to Forks, or date the crappy sleaze balls you all constantly sick on me. Besides, my private life isn't up for discussion, to any of you." I say firmly, closing the plans.

"Alright, alright… I was just trying to prepare you for this weekend. Charlie's friends? It's Gemma and Hal." He informed me.

Gemma and Hal? As in the couple with six sons? Oh, hell no! Why the hell is he making me attend? Is he planning to ambush me with a whole sleaze mob?

Ugh. Just thinking about some of the possible candidates attending this weekend makes my skin prickle.

"Seth?! What the fuck?! Why didn't any of you tell me that before? To hell with that! I'm not going." I growled turning towards the computer to check my emails, violently tapping the keys to the keyboard, to send to all the employees an email of our new regulations.

"Woah! Easy, you don't need to get so angry, Bells. I just found out this morning from Leah, who found out from mom last night. She wasn't going to tell you because they wanted you to show up in hopes of you going out with one of them." He explained, grinning in amusement as I narrowed my eyes at him in annoyance before turning back to look at my computer.

I sighed, exasperated. I needed to think of a fucking plan to get out of this shitfest, and quickly.

If I didn't, it was very possible that I would end up on a date with Michael, Gage, or Robbie, and that was too much of a risk already. It's not that I didn't like them because that was not the case. In fact, quite the opposite, they were all babyfaced, and handsome at the same time but it's the fact that Charlie set it up that had me worried.

He wanted me to marry one of his friends' sons so they could be family, and I, for one, wasn't going to marry someone who is that close to Charlie. Period.

For various reasons, really.

One of the most obvious reasons was that I didn't want to live in Forks or have to give up my company for someone who didn't understand the hard work I put into building this company up. Blood, sweat, and tears, not to mention, time.

Charlie knew this, yet he still hoped that I would find a worthy bachelor to sweep me off my feet and move back to Forks.

It wasn't going to happen. Ever.

I would rather die a spinster than date any of the single men that littered that minuscule town.

With that thought, it was then I made my mind up, and slowly turned to look at an amused Seth, a curious expression on his face as he put my paperweight back on my desk and looked at me with a questioning gaze. "Hey, Sethy…?" I asked through stiff lips.

"Yes, Bellsy?" He asked, snatching a paper clip from my desk.

I was going to go, but I was also going to piss the hell out of Charlie as payback for doing this to me, and I knew exactly how to do it.

He knew what I was going to ask, as I stared at him, in defeat. "I am going to need you to give me your friend, Embry's number. Immediately." I told him, as I have him a meaningful look.
