Olivia paced back and forth around OPA. She was trying to figure out who was searching for Ivy as well as trying to figure out what Verna could've been hiding. Olivia's pacing stopped when JoJo entered her personal office. "Liv, where's the fire? Ivy okay?"
Olivia looked over at JoJo. "Yeah, she's fine. I already told Rip but watch your back. something is going on in Fitz' circle and I don't know what it is or how bad it is. Can I ask you a question?"
"Yeah sure."
"Just how bad are things between Rip and Hollis?"
JoJo grimaced, "He told you about the soccer game?"
"Huh? What soccer game? What happened?"
"Long story short, Hollis threatened him. He's convinced that Sally will win."
"You aren't? What way do you think it'll go JoJo?"
"I don't know. I do know that things will Hollis needs to end one way."
"Locking Hollis up will take a lot of proof."
JoJo chuckled, "Who said anything about jail for Hollis? He needs to be put in a body bag."
"Over fracking? Christ!"
JoJo took a seat, "It's more about that. It's about the principle and Rip's deep seated belief that Hollis had something to do with his wife's death."
"I thought they had her killer arrested? It's a drunk driving accident."
JoJo rolled her eyes, "Good Lord. He really didn't tell you everything."
"Like?"
"Rip got his wife's body exhumed 2 years after she died and had an in-depth autopsy done. Olivia, she was stabbed, in the back, before she died in the accident. My guess is that she was trying to drive herself to the hospital."
"Why would he think that Hollis has anything to do with it?"
"The person that hit her in the wreck only had one number in his cellphone…Hollis'. The guy is willing to do life instead of actually admit who hired him. Olivia, he wasn't even drunk when the accident happened. He's more afraid of whoever hired him."
Olivia sighed, "I am so sick and tired of everyone's secrets!"
"Okay, pot calling the kettle black."
"Excuse me" Olivia said offended.
JoJo smiled, "I've been keeping your beautiful little secret happy and fed. You're throwing stones Olivia." JoJo looked around the office, "You know when I noticed that somebody was looking for Ivy, my mind went right to Cyrus Beene."
"Why?"
"Because you told me that he holds grudges and is willing to go to any lengths to get what he wants."
"Cyrus doesn't know about Ivy."
"As far as you know. He's what do you call it…a political animal. You are the greatest threat to his control over the President. I wouldn't put it past him to use Ivy as a catalyst to turn him against you. He isn't as loyal to you as you are to him. My question is what you're willing to do if he comes after Ivy?"
"Loyalty or not, I'm always going to choose my child."

The incessant banging on her front door was driving her crazy. She'd spent the better part of the night going over scenarios for Verna's murder. The knocking stopped and she was relieved. She got into the shower and started mentally preparing to spend the day deep-diving Verna's life.
She was surprised when she got out of the shower and saw Fitz sitting just outside the bathroom on her bed. "Why are you in my house?"
"Come on Livvie. You know I can't be out in the open for security reasons."
Olivia rolled her eyes, "If you were that worried about your security then you wouldn't be here at all."
Fitz dropped his head, "Can we just talk? About you and me?"
"Don't do this Fiz."
"Do what? Care about you? Love you unconditionally?"
Olivia scoffed, "Is that what they're calling it now?"
Fitz let out a frustrated sigh, "What do you need from me Livvie? Just talk to me."
Olivia clenched her jaw, "I need you to stop crowding me. I need you to stop doubting my ability to do my job and stop reducing me to just being at your beck and call. I need you to give me the space to decide whether or not I will move on from you. I don't even know who you are anymore."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Fitz asked outraged.
Olivia crossed her arms, "It means that I know you killed Verna."
Fitz swallowed hard, "Livvie—"
"Don't. Don't you dare try and justify what you did."
"I was protecting you!"
"No!" Olivia screamed. "You were protecting you from whatever big bad secret of yours she was keeping."
Fitz deflected, "You really have the audacity to act like you're still the same person I once knew? You suddenly get feelings for one of your close friends. You were ready to crucify me for Amanda Tanner. I believe you said something along the lines of me cheating on my mistress."
Olivia was so angry that she momentarily let go of the hold she had the towel covering her naked body. "Fuck you Fitz! YOU ARE MARRIED! You don't get to insinuate that I'm a whore and then judge me for how I put myself back together from what you put me through. I am a single woman and I don't have to justify any romantic relationships that I have with anyone."
Olivia's chest was heaving and the towel fell completely to the floor. Her mocha skin was glistening with water. Fitz stared open mouth at a few beads of water slowly making their way down her body. Before he knew it, he had her in his arms and was kissing her with everything he had. She hesitated for a moment before surrendering to the kiss.
Fitz hastily pulled her to straddle his lap as he peppered her neck with wet kisses. Her soft moans were driving him crazy and he knew he couldn't hold off being inside of her for very long. Olivia became drunk simply from his kisses. She fumbled with getting his shirt unbuttoned while grinding against his growing bulge. Olivia pulled out of the kiss and locked eyes with Fitz. Her brown eyes were reflecting the same emotion as his blue ones. Olivia leaned in and kissed his neck, earning a growl from Fitz. Olivia trailed her kisses down his slightly hairy chest until she was out of his lap and kneeling between his legs. Fitz was not a fan of not feeling her wet core against his lap. Fitz quickly stood up and pinned her to a nearby wall. Fitz dropped to his knees and attached his mouth to her core. When he felt Olivia trying to pull away, he got a firm grip on her thighs and stood up straight. In this position, Olivia's thighs were over his shoulder and she was so elevated off the ground that she could only surrender herself to his talented mouth. Olivia threw her head back and chanted his name over and over. "Yes Fitz. Just like that. Feels so good."
Fitz moaned into Olivia's core and lapped up every bit of her essence. Fitz didn't let up until he'd given her two back-to-back orgasms and her body forced his tongue to exit her channel. Fitz slowly lowered Olivia to the ground, mindful of her wobbly legs. Fitz pressed his forehead against hers, "Hi sweet baby."
Olivia blinked slowly, "Hi Fitz."
Fitz allowed Olivia to help him take his clothes off. He picked her up and gently laid her down in the middle of the bed. Fitz crawled over her and poised his erection at her entrance. When Olivia suddenly stopped him, he was confused. "What's wrong Livvie?"
Olivia opened her nightstand drawer and pulled out a condom. "Put this on Fitz."
Fitz chuckled in disbelief, "Since when Livvie? When have we ever used those?"
Olivia put her hand on his face, "Put it on or this isn't happening."
Fitz wanted to argue but chose not to. He put the condom on and slowly slid into her body. He kept a steady rhythm but allowed Olvia to switch their positions and straddle him. She didn't want slow lovemaking tonight. She wanted to be fucked hard. Olivia rose up on her knees and slammed her hips back into his. Olivia quickened her pace even when Fitz tried to slow her down. Olivia moved faster and faster, droplets of sweat rolling down her chest and back. She felt her orgasm getting closer and bore down on his lap. Fitz pinched her clit between two of his fingers and watched her convulse and come undone in his lap. Olivia collapsed forward against his chest. Fitz grabbed her hips and surged up into her in an attempt to reach his own peak. With a final thrust, he crushed their hips together and exploded into the condom. They lay in silence for nearly a half hour before Fitz finally got up and disposed of the condom. Olivia, although lethargic, got up and went into the bathroom to take a shower. She enjoyed feeling the hot water loosen up her muscles. She was in her own world until she felt Fitz slid in behind her. They cleaned themselves up in silence and exited the shower together.
While Olivia was applying her moisturizer, Fitz blurted out, "What's up with the condom? We've never used them before."
Olivia had her back turned to him when she rolled her eyes, "It's not a big deal Fitz. We should've been using them all along, especially since you were still sleeping with other people."
Fitz sighed, "Are you ever going to let Amanda Tanner go? I told you that I made a mistake."
Olivia finally turned around and said, "I was talking about Mellie. A condom is not the end of the world Fitz."
Fitz sneered, "You ask me to wear one because you're sleeping with other people?"
"Are you trying to slut shame me?"
Fitz wasn't letting up, "It's Rip isn't it? He's the one you're involved with?"
"It that what crawled up your ass and died? Who I choose to be with is none of your damn business."
"Why is he here Olivia?"
Olivia shrugged, "He's a grown man that makes his own choices."
"Like following behind you like a puppy?"
Olivia countered, "Kind of how you do huh?"
"Olivia" Fitz said in a warning tone. "He shouldn't be here and he had the audacity to give me a list of conditions."
Olivia put her hand up, "Stop whining for five seconds Fitz. You're the one who needs the support in a re-election. You expect him to just hand over millions of dollars in funding without conditions? That's your privilege talking Fitz."
"Dammit Livvie. I can't help where I come from."
"But you can control how you treat people that don't come from your background. It would be nice if you could fund your own re-election campaign, but you can't. Even with your family money, Hollis is dumping millions into Sally's campaign. You wanted to win fair and square…Rip and JoJo are how you do that."
"Why were you one of his conditions?"
"Can we not do this right now? I've known him since college."
"Do you love him?"
Olivia stared him down. "Do you love me Fitz?"
"You know the answer to that question."
Oliva shook her head, "I don't think that I do…not anymore. Do you love me enough to tell me the truth about why you killed Verna?"
Fitz clenched his fists, "Let it go Olivia."
"I can't and I won't."
"Why not Liv? It's not like you and Verna were best friends."
Olivia turned around, picked up Fitz' clothes, and threw them at him. "Get out."
"Livvie."
"Get out. I don't trust you anymore."
Fitz scoffed, "And I'm supposed to trust you? You disappear for 5 months to stay with a friend that you've never mentioned. You come back and he's right behind you and conveniently able to fund my campaign. For the past 7 years, you've been disappearing at least twice a month—every month—and popping back into the city as if nothing happened. Where have you been going Livvie? You been going to see Ripley fucking Cartwright?"
Olivia's mouth opened slightly, "You really had Cyrus digging into my personal business? Have you had him doing it since you first met me or was it a recent thing? You have no right to go through my personal business."
"Where have you been going Olivia?"
"Why did you kill Verna Fitz?"
"Olivia, I'm not answering that question."
Olivia's eyes darkened, "Olivia get the fuck out of my house right now!"

The next morning Olivia got up and went for a run. She had so many things running through her head. She couldn't believe that she let herself sleep with Fitz again after what he did to Verna. She was pissed that he had Cyrus digging around her life. Cyrus was hitting a little too close to home and she now believes that it was Cyrus who was looking for Ivy. She didn't know what or who to believe anymore. She was so frustrated that she didn't realize how hard she was running until her lungs felt like they were on fire. She stopped to catch her breath and decided to end her run right then and there. She got back to her place to shower and headed off to OPA.
She got into the office and immediately called everyone into the conference room. "Guys, Cyrus may be the one sniffing around about Ivy. I had a conversation with the President. Before you guys start interrogating me about it, I can only tell you that he is extremely defensive about his reasoning behind killing Verna. He is definitely hiding something. Huck, I want you to monitor Cyrus in the same way that he's watching me. Everyone else, dig into something—anything—that involved the President and Verna before his presidential campaign. He's way too defensive about committing murder."

The door slowly opened and a woman sized up the person on the other side of it. "Hello ma'am, my name is David Rosen. I was wondering if I could have a few minutes of your time."
"For what?"
"To discuss your old neighbors Olivia Pope and Edison Davis."
The older woman's eyes widened, "Oh dear heavens! What has he done to her now? She barely survived him the first time." David was quickly ushered into the woman's home and given an in-depth history about Olivia and Edison.
