August 28th, 2026 - 19:20:00, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 30 Hours Ago, after an hour of waiting around for new developments on Andrei, Bishop finally got some answers. But if he wanted explanations for the newer questions that popped up after the briefing, he had to get them personally while guaranteeing Australia's victory on their front in World War 3.

Hunter Killer: (quietly) Just finished learning more about Nolan. And it looks like you were right. The aftermath of that piss-poor support op shows all of our men K.I.A. Except one.
Bishop: Andrei. Did it take you this long to find out?
Hunter Killer: (quietly) Affirmative. Our COs had everything about that day buried. But Nolan vanished. Nowhere to be found anywhere in Kandahar. Definitely went AWOL (absent without leave).
Bishop: Until now. He's become a spectre of our past mistakes.
Hunter Killer: (quietly) You can't—
Bishop: Edwin, please, don't. At least not yet.
Hunter Killer: (quietly) Okay, okay. You have a point.
Bishop: Interrogative: Why are you whispering?
Hunter Killer: (quietly) Digging around our archives for this broke a lot of protocol already. Last thing we want is someone eavesdropping me. Anyway, you gotta at least understand that Australia's survival is paramount. You need to make Andrei secondary.
Bishop: *sighs* Yeah, I understand.
Hunter Killer: (quietly) Are you sure?
Bishop: I'm sure. Besides, the last of the Russians around here will include him. He's a survivor. So, where are the Russians taking us this time?
Hunter Killer: (quietly) Burwood, Eastwood and Chatswood. They're a fucking mess as we speak. Plenty of civilian casualties and heavy enemy guns. Our boys and girls in arms are struggling to compete.
Bishop: Ah, my kind of party. Okay, I'm moving to help out.
Hunter Killer: (quietly) Start with Burwood. It's the heaviest and the messiest of the three. Then, take care of Eastwood, which is now a Russian Armed Forces holdout. And save Chatswood for last since friendlies will outnumber the hostiles there very soon.
Bishop: Thanks for the tip, Hunter Killer. Just like old times, right?
Hunter Killer: (quietly) Ain't it just. When I find Andrei Nolan, I'll send you the coordinates.
Bishop: Alright, good.

Bravo 4-1 made it to Burwood rather quickly thanks to the sports bike. As he Akira Slid into the fray and provided immediate cover fire for a lone pinned down Australian Army fireteam.
30 HOURS EARLIER
[tires screech]
[M240B fire]
Australian Army Soldier 3: Australian Spec Ops! Hold fire!
Australian Army Soldier 4: Just one?! We are STILL screwed!
Bishop: Not yet, we're not! Stay down until I say it's okay to move!
[M72 LAW fire]
[explosions]
[Russian Paratroopers painfully scream]
Australian Army Soldier 5: JESUS CHRIST, MATE! What kind of rocket launcher is that?!

After saving the last friendlies standing in the area, he proceeded to clean up half of it like he was making a shotgun montage. Since they had nowhere else to go but forward to their current orders, the Australian Army fireteam followed their new specialist friend, watching and learning at the same time.
[Benelli M4 fire]
[C4 Explosive Charge detonation]
Australian Army Soldier 6: Your shotgun show would've been great for a montage on YouTube!
Bishop: Watch and learn, and you might make some of your own!
Australian Army Soldier 6: I am!
Australian Army Soldier 7: Damn! I thought we were finished two minutes ago! Thanks for the save, Operator!
Bishop: No problem! If you had enough men and firepower, you'd realise that the Russians are actually punching above their weight!
Australian Army Soldier 8: Where the fuckin' hell are the rest of us?! There should've been more here!
Bishop: Blame our leaders for this! They're hoarding most of our men for their own selfish reasons, making us pray for reinforcements outside of town!
Australian Army Soldier 8: Ah, the usual! Useless degenerate cunts!
[Frag Grenade detonation]
Bishop: We got 'em on the run! Press on aggressively but not recklessly! And to answer your question, my rocket launcher's an M72 LAW! Easy to carry around, still packs a heavy punch!
Australian Army Soldier 5: Good to know! Thank you!
Handling the other end of Burwood then became easier because the six Australian Army Soldiers got back into the fight after acquiring full magazines from the surrounding fallen.
Australian Army Soldier 3: Resupplied and good to go?!
Australian Army Soldier 4: Affirmative!
Australian Army Soldier 3: Then join our spec ops friend immediately! Attack!
[F89 Minimi fire]
[EF88 Austeyr fire]
[HK417 fire]
Bishop: *laughs* Alright! Glad you boys and girls can have some fun too!
Australian Army Soldier 5: Wouldn't miss it for the world!
[M240B fire]
Bishop: (off comms) Cease fire! Cease fire! Great work, team. (on comms) Bravo 4-1 to Overlord, Battle Captain and Hunter Killer, Russian Paratrooper company has been taken out of commission in Section One-Alpha. How copy, over?
Overlord: Solid copy, 4-1. You are cleared to move on, over.
Bishop: Roger. If what you've told me about Section Two-Bravo is true, then we're gonna need a powerful and maneuverable fighting vehicle, over.
Battle Captain: My thoughts exactly, 4-1. Grab whatever you can. Good hunting, over.
Australian Army Soldier 6: I heard some of us tried to hit Burwood from the other direction with some armor. Wonder if there's one we can use?
On the other side of the AO, Bishop and the Australian Army fireteam found an abandoned but fully-loaded Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle and boarded it before moving to retake Eastwood.
Australian Army Soldier 3: Take your pick, Operator.
Bishop: The Boxer. Looks mostly intact.
Australian Army Soldier 7: Still has a good amount of ammo inside.
Australian Army Soldier 8: No anti-tank missile's been used yet.
[engine starts]
Bishop: Yes! Hop in, ladies and gents. We're liberating Eastwood.
Australian Army Soldier 3: YES!
Australian Army Soldier 4: Alright!
Bishop: Okay. HMG on the remote weapon station's for infantry and light vehicles. 30mm auto-cannon will handle the APCs. Spike-LR missiles are for tanks. Here we go.
The seven best and possibly last hope in saving Sydney used their Spike-LR anti-tank guided missiles on the T-90Ms from a distance first before annihilating the BTR-90s and Russian Paratroopers in the open with the M2A1 .50 BMG Heavy Machine Gun attached to the remote weapon station and the MK30-2/ABM 30mm Auto-cannon.
Bishop: Before we proceed, the four T-90Ms. They have to go first.
Australian Army Soldier 5: Locked on.
Bishop: Do it.
[Spike-LRs launch]
[T-90Ms explode]
Bishop: Keep an eye out for more. Move forward.
Australian Army Soldier 3: Advancing.
Australian Army Soldier 4: There they are. The APCs.
Bishop: Engaging.
[MK30-2/ABM fire]
[BTR-90s explode]
Australian Army Soldier 6: Missile launchers reloaded.
Australian Army Soldier 7: Infantry and troop transports. Punch through 'em.
[Browning M2A1 fire]
[GAZ-2975 Tigrs explode]
[Russian Paratroopers painfully scream]
Australian Army Soldier 8: Yeah! Now we're cookin'!
7 minutes of solo heavy armor fighting Through Mud and Blood (Battlefield 1) style later, Bishop and the Australian Army fireteam secured Section Two-Bravo. But not even the amount of ammo for their individual weapons and their functional Boxer CRV could prepare them for the surprise that awaited in Chatswood.
Bishop: Bravo 4-1 to Overlord, Battle Captain and Hunter Killer, hostiles terminated in Section Two-Bravo, over.
Hunter Killer: Roger that, 4-1.
Australian Army Soldier 3: Where to, Operator?
Bishop: Chatswood is up next. We retake it, and the Russians will have no more strongholds.
Australian Army Soldier 3: Okay, that'll be 25 dollars.
[Bishop and Australian Army Soldiers laugh]
Australian Army Soldier 4: You never told us you were a taxi driver, Staff Sergeant.
Australian Army Soldier 3: More like an Uber or something in that degree. An official taxi is just a license to steal.
Australian Army Soldier 5: Good to know. I've always wanted to drive more.
[Australian Army Soldier 8 whistles]
Australian Army Soldier 3: Here we are. Whoa, friendly reinforcements all around. They already secured Chatswood.
Bishop: (off comms) Wow, the Russians really have gone desperate. (on comms) Bravo 4-1 to Overlord, Battle Captain and Hunter Killer, Australia's finest just eliminated the enemy company at Section Three-Charlie. Copy that, over?
Overlord: Copy that, 4-1. I think we have Andrei. Give us a minute to confirm, over.
Bishop: (on comms) Understood, Overlord, over. (off comms) See that commander?
Australian Army Soldier 3: Mm-hmm. Shall we?
Bishop: Yeah, let's introduce ourselves. *opens hatch* Lieutenant Colonel!
Australian Army Soldier 9: Special Forces?
Bishop: I am.
Australian Army Soldier 9: Regular?
Australian Army Soldier 3: Yes, sir.
Australian Army Soldier 9: Alright. I've been getting reports of two Russian companies in Burwood and Eastwood falling to a small team in a Boxer. Outstanding work. So get out of there and get some—
[2A36 Giatsint-B fire]
Australian Army Soldier 9: What the fuck?
Bishop: *looks up* ARTILLERY! GET COVER! GET COVER! *closes hatch*
Australian Army Soldier 9: FALL BACK AND GET COVER—
[explosions]
[Australian Army Soldiers painfully scream]
Bishop: (faintly) Is everyone alright?!
Australian Army Soldier 5: (faintly) Yeah, I think!
Australian Army Soldier 7: Jesus Christ! Where did this counter-attack come from?!
[static]
Andrei: From me.
Australian Army Soldier 4: Huh?! Who's talking?
Andrei: Bishop? Bishop? You still alive?
Australian Army Soldier 6: Who's Bishop?
Bishop: (off comms) It's me. Give me that radio. (on comms) You didn't get me, Andrei.
Andrei: Good. The Australian Government's black ops wetwork crew didn't get me either. Lucky shots have always been boring.
Bishop: Oh, shit. Really?
Andrei: Well, when people really wanna bury secrets, they tend to bury bodies right along with them. Remember who taught me that?
Bishop: You think this is for old times' sake?! You know damn well this is now beyond the S.A.S. Regiment! We're not done! AUSTRALIA'S NOT DONE!
Andrei: Of course. The only way it'll be done is to kill the best. Starting with you. If you wanna see me again and make things quick, I'm at Top Ryde City Shopping Centre. Can you guess why I chose it?
Bishop: Oh, I can figure it the fuck out, Andrei!
Andrei: Then, by all means, come find me, Ned. Bravo 4-4, out.
Bishop: God dammit, Andrei.
Australian Army Soldier 3: So, Top Ryde City Shopping Centre?
Bishop: Affirmative. I'll explain everything on the way. But are you sure you're all up for this?
Australian Army Soldier 3: You saved us and got us this far. It's the least we can do.
Australian Army Soldier 4: You know it. We got your back.
Australian Army Soldier 5: We take care of our friends, Bishop.
Australian Army Soldier 6: For our fallen.
Australian Army Soldier 7: For our fallen. Let's get this arsehole.
Australian Army Soldier 8: He sounds pretty important. You think we can end this war by taking him?
Bishop: I say there's a high probability. Let's hit the road.
Australian Army Soldier 3: On the move.
Battle Captain: We still have an eye on you, Bravo 4-1. We also confirmed Andrei's whereabouts. Get to the mall, and you can settle it between you two.
Bishop: Roger that, Battle Captain. Thanks for the heads-up, over.
Section Three-Charlie may have been cleaned up by the expected Australian Army reinforcements, but all their work was swiftly taken away by Andrei and the last of his 2A36 Giatsint-B field guns' shells. He then came out of hiding and gave his former commanding officer and old friend a place to end the search and finish things once and for all.
Even though there were red flags everywhere, Bishop still felt compelled to try and see it through personally anyway. Luckily, he was not alone in his trip to Top Ryde City Shopping Centre.
