August 28th, 2026 - 19:47:35, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, back in the Australian front of World War 3, with the campaign setting up to be the shortest in the conflict, Bishop and the Australian Army fireteam he befriended made it to Top Ryde City Shopping Centre without encountering any resistance. And to the Australian S.A.S.R. Operator's eyes, his former ally and friend took extra steps to make the target building as "welcoming" as possible.

30 HOURS EARLIER

Australian Army Soldier 3: Here we are. Top Ryde City Shopping Centre. It seems to be quieter than a cemetery.

Bishop: He's welcoming me. With that, I know you're all up for this, but I have to go in there alone.

Australian Army Soldier 5: What?!

Bishop: You already know who Andrei is and what he's capable of. If we go together, he'll pick us off one by one, and we all die. If it's just me, he'll have to spend more time surviving than hunting. And that will be the best opportunity to end him and his campaign. You know how that goes.

[Australian Army Soldiers nod]

Australian Army Soldier 3: You're right. Then put this feud to bed and stay alive, okay? For Australia.

Australian Army Soldiers: For Australia.

Bishop: For Australia. *opens hatch*

Australian Army Soldier 5: Bishop. If you need us, you know we'll be nearby.

Bishop: *nods* Thank you, ladies, gentlemen. I would've been proud to have you all in Bravo Team 4... and I don't say that to many. *closes hatch*

Brother VS Brother

August 28th, 2026 - 19:50:18

COL. Ned 'Bishop' White

Australian S.A.S.R. Rogue Team

Sydney, NSW, Australia

--

Upon entering the mall's premises, Bishop was greeted by TVs that were strategically placed in every store and playing recordings of the happiest moments of Bravo Team 4. All back when Staff Sergeant Leonard 'Rook' Hansen (Martin Copping) and Sergeant Desmond 'Knight' Jacobs were still alive and Andrei was still a proud Australian despite his Soviet Russian roots, which came from his mother's side.

But as much as it hurt him to see Czar 9-3 try to weaponize Bravo Team 4's past against him, Bravo 4-1 tuned the PsyOp (psychological operation) out by playing Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Soundtrack's "Stampede" on a loop at a manageable volume. Just as he engaged the faster and deadlier Ultranationalist Inner Circle Operators compared to the average Russian Paratrooper.

Bishop: Fucking hell, Andrei. I thought you cared enough to never deign this low. *pulls out smartphone*

[Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Soundtrack's Stampede plays]

Andrei: (Russian) He fell for it! Engage! Engage!

[AK-105 fire]

[AK-74M UUK fire]

[PKP Pecheneg-SP fire]

[VKS fire]

[M4V7 fire]

Bishop: (Russian) You don't betray your country without making new friends, right, Andrei?!

Andrei: That's right, Ned! So glad you can join us! Now, don't think I haven't forgotten about your new and improved Bravo Team 4 in that Boxer! I got a lot of highly-trained men with heavy weapons all over the main building of our beloved mall, ready to kill them on my word!

[Flash Grenade detonation]

[C4 Explosive Charge detonation]

[Frag Grenade detonation]

[Ultranationalist Inner Circle Operators painfully scream]

[Benelli M4 fire]

Bishop: *kicks door open* You should've left them outta this!

[M72 LAW fire]

Andrei: Oh! Moving inside to stop them?! Good! But I gotta say, when I was watching you operate like a kid watching his favorite movie, I could've sworn you ran out of M240 ammo, and you weren't carrying that M4V7 around!

Bishop: This is Sydney, Andrei! I hide and keep spare M4V7s all over my home for occasions like this!

[M203A2 fire]

[explosion]

Before he could go after Andrei, Bishop assaulted the indoor area of Top Ryde City Shopping Centre to stop his 35-man platoon before they could head out with every explosive weapon he has. 4 minutes of cyclonic CQB later, Czar 9-3 attempted to play his last card at the part of the outdoor area Bravo 4-1 came from.

But Bishop also had access to the mall's surveillance cameras and knew where his former ally and friend was as he sprinted back.

[music stops]

Andrei: Highly-explosive CQB. Never thought I'd see anything like it. You never do fail to surprise us all! But we've played Resident Evil 4. Your new Bravo Team 4 is nothing more than an extra in my plot to get back at Australia. I know where they are. Their time in the limelight is over!

Bishop: And you think I don't know where you are? Dammit, Andrei, you should've just reported back to me, and we would've fixed everything. The four of us. I know what our bosses did to us in Kandahar was unforgivable.

Andrei: Oh, what's next?! Are you gonna say their corruption doesn't give me the right to kill innocent people?!

Bishop: You know no one has the right to ruin the innocent!

Andrei: No one is innocent! War is treachery! But I wouldn't expect you to understand since you love your job so much!

Bishop: We've been through that already! You can love being in the military and hate war at the same time! I loathe it, too! If you came back to us that day, we would've personally guaranteed your safety! You knew us! You knew you could trust us! We would've given you our word, and not even our own government would ever touch you!

Andrei: ENOUGH WITH THE COLD ADVICES, FALSE HOPES AND FRAGILE PROMISES! Your new and improved Bravo Team 4 dies TODAY!

Bishop: NEVER!

[M4V7 fire]

[AK-105 fire]

The hero of Australia and the Australian traitor then fired at each other until they emptied their magazines. When he saw that all his shots missed, Andrei used his M203A2 Grenade Launcher to finish it once and for all.

But the 40mm explosive round missed and Bishop got Czar 9-3 with his under barrel GL while he was falling back to kill the six Australian Army Soldiers in the Boxer. After bouncing face first off a wall, falling to the ground, and losing his AK-105, Andrei equipped his GSh-18 Tactical and attempted to stop Bravo 4-1.

Only for the sidearm to be shot out of his hand as Bishop incapacitated him with rifle bullets to the limbs and the exposed parts of his upper body.

[M4V7 fire]

[Andrei painfully screams and heavily breathes]

Bishop: *sniffles* I-I-I-I am so sorry... for everything, Andrei. I failed you. I failed you.

Andrei: This was never *coughs* about you, Ned. It was my choice. It wasn't your responsibility. Still, I could never forget you or Leo or Des. Feel free to do what you have to. Just... know that... I never stopped missing Bravo Team 4... Ned. *smiles*

Bishop: *breath trembles* We never stopped missing you as well, Andrei.

[M4V7 fire]

[Bishop falls to his knees and cries]

[static]

Makarov: *chuckles* Colonel Ned White, callsign: Bishop.

Bishop: *wipes tears* I know that voice.

Makarov: Good to know you still remember me. Andrei may have met the Ultranationalists' expectations, but, tsk, he will always be a means to an end. He was just more useful than Hadir Karim. Like we would EVER fully trust a Westerner.

Bishop: You and Laswell took Bravo Team 4 from me, Makarov. Just you wait. I'm gonna make the both of you pay.

Makarov: So you do know who created the Australian S.A.S.R.'s tour in Kandahar. Still, that will not change the fact that I owned your precious Andrei Nolan, Bishop. That hopelessly misguided Russian-Australian was mine to use. See you in Hell.

Bishop: Already been there, arsehole. But maybe Laswell can be your slave if you need one down there.

Bravo 4-1 placed Lieutenant Andrei Nolan to rest with a final M4V7 round to the head. After crying for half a minute and having a short but tense conversation with Makarov himself, he then returned to the Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle and told the Australian Army fireteam, Overlord, Battle Captain and Hunter Killer what happened.

Bishop: Guys. Why are you all out of the Boxer?

Australian Army Soldier 8: Command just gave us new orders to hold here until reinforcements arrive so we can secure the mall all together. E.T.A. (estimated time of arrival): 2 minutes.

Australian Army Soldier 7: How'd it go?

Bishop: *shows Andrei's dog tags* It is done. He made his peace. You know, before he did, he was gonna come over to kill you all personally.

Australian Army Soldier 6: Guess it was gonna end only one way for him.

Bishop: (off comms) Only one way. (on comms) Overlord, Battle Captain, Hunter Killer, this is Bravo 4-1. Mission complete. Confirmed, target: Bravo 4-4, K.I.A., over.

Hunter Killer: YES!

[Bishop shakes his head]

Overlord: Hunter Killer. Roger that, Bravo 4-1. With him gone, the Russians' campaign in Australia will end before the day is done, over.

Battle Captain: We all wish we could help Andrei the same way we helped Yuri, Bravo 4-1, over.

Bishop: Yuri might be a lucky one. What happened to Andrei shouldn't have happened in the first place, over.

Hunter Killer: Bishop, you should be glad that Australia's saved. Besides, dwelling on Andrei won't bring him back.

Bishop: I KNOW. But I miss him, okay?! Is that what you wanted me to say?! *sighs* I still can't understand how he could have left us.

Hunter Killer: It was a surprise decision to all of us.

Bishop: It was wrong! He's an Australian and an S.A.S. Regiment Operator! He belongs with us! He's one of us.

Hunter Killer: He made the decision, Bishop.

Bishop: WELL, WHAT CHOICE DID WE GIVE HIM?! The moment something in that horribly flawed Kandahar tour went sideways in the slightest, our COs and the spooks turned their backs on him AND those who died beside him.

Hunter Killer: I will grant you mistakes were made, but he chose to leave. Part of our job is not letting emotion cloud your better judgement. You can't take responsibility for Andrei's decision, Bishop.

Bishop: How would you feel if it was me and not Andrei?

Hunter Killer: It's not the same.

Bishop: It's PRECISELY the same. You took me under my wing and guided me ever since I voluntarily signed on the dotted line to the Land Down Under. I was your protégé just like Andrei, Rook and Knight were mine. How well would you sleep knowing I failed you?

Hunter Killer: Not very well, I imagine. I'll task Striker Team 7 to protect Andrei's remains for a discreet, proper burial. You have my word. I know you trust them.

Bishop: Thank you. Time to disappear.

Hunter Killer: Already gone. Take care of yourselves.

Bishop: Keep an eye on Australia.

Australian Army Soldier 5: We'll keep Andrei safe. Godspeed, Bishop.

Bishop: Godspeed, Striker Team 7.

When the emotional debrief ended, Bishop said his goodbyes to the Australian Army fireteam/Striker Team 7, got another sports bike, and met up with Darkstar 4-2 at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport for extraction. Overlord and Battle were on board to meet and comfort him.

[Bishop, Overlord and Battle Captain hug]

Battle Captain: Bravo 4-1's on board. All hatches are buttoned. Go.

Darkstar 4-2: Okay, we're outta here.

Bishop: Busy at work, eh?

Overlord: Mm-hmm. Especially with Task Force Rogue activating soon.

Bishop: Hope Chemo and everyone else are doing alright.
