Seren waited besides Vortex and the still invisible Colin until all the staff and the headmaster were in the same room before he finally messaged his parents. It only took a few minutes of waiting before a portal opened in the room and his parents wearing their human disguises stepped out with enraged expressions on their faces. Stella stalked forward, but was quickly stopped by Stolas who was wearing a cold expression and his head held high.
"Just a moment, Stella. Let's talk about this calmly before enacting an appropriate punishment for this—" Stolas paused to glance at his son as he moved to stand beside them before turning his attention back onto McGonagall, "woman masquerading as a teacher, shall we? We can't make it too easy on her."
She scowled before crossing her arms across her chest with a smirk, "Fine. At least we're on the same page of prolonging her suffering."
Seren sighed, at least this meant his teacher would survive at the moment.
Stolas continued, "As I was saying, we need to have a serious discussion on the staff as well as the education you are providing our son. Seren hadn't told us the problems he's seen while attending your school until recently, but now that he has finally told us, it is a bit worrying. First of all, some of your teachers seem to be an issue and seem to be hindering the students learning. Professor McGonagall took out her own issues she had been dealing with, issues not at all relating to our son, and had created a hostile learning environment whenever he attended her classes. She has apologized, but that doesn't change the fact that she would deliberately show favoritism towards others for the past few weeks. She would award points to one student for answering a question, but not to Seren for answering another question. She had certain opinions on his nature without personally knowing him and showed her dislike towards him in front of his peers which could have led other students to believe that it would be okay to bully him or stay away from him so they wouldn't suffer the same fate. I want to know how you will punish her and what you will do to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen again."
Stella sneered, "Really? That's it. You're going to let them decide the punishment?"
Stolas glared at his wife, "We have a different culture and it would be best to know how they deal with things and go from there. If we believe it's too little of a punishment, we can always work with them to find a more suitable outcome that we're all happy with."
Stella huffed before going to her son's side and stroking his hair soothingly, "Fine."
Seren smiled softly as he leaned into his mother's hand, knowing this had more to do with soothing herself rather than to help soothe him. Stolas gave his son a small nod and smile, knowing Seren's presence would help his mother reign in her temper a bit.
Dumbledore gave him a nod, "Thank you for taking into account our different cultures. I understand your frustration towards Professor McGonagall for her actions and, while she has apologized, I believe it would be best if their interactions are monitored by a third-party to ensure equality towards all the students. As further punishment due to Seren's status, Professor McGonagall's position as deputy headmistress will be suspended and Professor Flitwick will take her place. Would this be enough to soothe your anger towards her?"
Stolas was about to answer when Stella interrupted, "No. That isn't enough of a punishment for her actions towards someone above her station."
Stolas frowned, "Stella."
He agreed with his wife, but they were in the living realm and things were done differently on Earth. At least the woman's power had been limited and any interactions she had would be watched over by a neutral party. If she decided to continue being a problem after those restrictions, only then would he allow Stella to do as she sees fit to the woman and would even join her in torturing the woman.
Stella glared at Stolas, "Stop being a spineless excuse of a man. The punishments will be fine as it will limit her position of power, but Seren is a member of the royal family so we can't let her get off easily for her behavior. Additional punishment must be made and I have the perfect one."
McGonagall straightened her back and gave a stiff nod, "I agree with Princess Goetia. I have behaved in a deplorable fashion and agree a statement must be made."
Stella stared down at McGonagall coldly, "Good. At least the woman has some common sense and has been reminded of her place."
McGonagall held back from glaring at the demon before her, she knew it would only make it worse for herself. She'd seen how wrathful the woman seemed to be and hoped that by agreeing with the woman would give her even a slightly less terrifying punishment. All she knew was that she would survive, but that didn't mean that whatever punishment the demon decided for her would make her wish for death.
Stella continued, "As she'll have plenty of free time now that she'll no longer be deputy headmistress, I believe that she should spend her free time working for my husband and I. Every weekend, holiday breaks, and this summer will be spent as a member of our staff. Of course, we will limit it to one year so she will no longer have to work for us when the new school year begins. Isn't that a rather benign punishment addition?"
Dumbledore balked at the thought of a member of his staff being forced to serve demons in hell, especially when he remembered how viscous the two adult demons before him could be. What would happen to McGonagall? He shuddered at the thought of McGonagall seeing all the violence and death, but being unable to do more than watch as horrors unfolded before her. How would it affect McGonagall?
Apparently his horrified silence was enough agreement for the demons as Stolas clapped with a smile on his face, "It's settled then! Professor McGonagall will begin working for us starting this weekend. I'm happy that we have managed to settle this without any bloodshed or death! Now, let's continue with the rest of our concerns!"
By the end of the meeting, Dumbledore needed to find two new teachers as both Professor Binns and Quirrell were forcefully dealt with by Seren's parents. Stolas had banished Professor Binns while Stella had ripped out Professor Quirrell's spine when he tried attacking them when they told him he needed to leave the castle immediately. It had been quite startling when a dark fog left Quirrell's body when he was killed, but it quickly fled the castle with a scream of rage. It shook Dumbledore to his core as he was certain it had been Voldemort's spirit that had possessed poor Professor Quirrell and he hadn't even known that he was in Hogwarts. The last thing to change was the cancellation of the first years flying lessons until the brooms were replaced. Dumbledore could only feel relieved that not much would change as he knew it could have been much worse than only one rather violent death.
Perhaps, Dumbledore thought to himself, it is time to let Nicholas know the danger to the Philosopher's stone has been dealt with and the stone will be safe for it to be moved to another secure location. It will take Tom quite a while to regain his strength one more.
AN: sorry for taking so long to post and that it's probably not the best. I've been pretty busy for the past few months due to my baby nephew, school, work, learning my parents are getting divorced, and getting prepared to move soon. My mental health also took a bit of a hit after I was forced to do the mandatory training course for my college which was very triggering for me and it took a lot of effort for me to force myself to get out of my room to go to work. I finally got enough motivation to start writing again, I'd only posted for one of my stories on this site and that's only because I'd already written the chapter beforehand.
