A/N: Sorry this took longer to update. I had started the chapter but had to delete it and start over. My creative juices were not flowing as I like them to.

This will not be a very long fic, but things are picking up.

It's not my playground just my slide.

I have no beta.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. When Caius requested that I have my dad come to the house to meet him, I wasn't sure how things would go down. Charlie is very protective of me these days even though I could beat the snot out of any punk that tried anything with me. None of that mattered to him. I was his little girl, and he refuses to allow any emo punks or vampires around me ever again.

Since Jacob had already met my beloved grandpa, I knew that I could wrangle him into helping get my dad here. Jacob, of course, agreed right away. He reminded me that he had to run it by the tribal elders first, but he didn't think there would be any issues. He said he would drag my dad here if need be and to be ready.

So I paced the floor while we waited. When Jake text me to let me know that they just left the reservation, I went to stand by the door. The moment they pulled in, I shot out the door.

Now my dad is standing in my living room giving Caius and Felix dirty looks. "Who's this?" he asked me while looking at Caius and Felix suspiciously.

"Dad, don't be rude. I asked Jake to drag you here so that I could introduce you," I scolded him.

"I thought you said you weren't dating anyone," he said suspiciously.

"Dad, I'm not dating or seeing anyone male or female at this time. Would you please just trust me?" I pleaded with him.

"Patience, Bella, he's just doing his duty as a father," Caius said laying a hand on my shoulder. "Charlie Swan, I am Caius Volturi and this is my guard, Felix," Caius said in introduction.

"Guard?" he questioned. "I detect an accent. Are you a foreign leader or something? You sound Italian. What are two vampires doing hanging around my daughter? Haven't your kind caused enough trouble?" Charlie asked firing off a slew of questions.

"Charlie, chill. Let the man speak. He can't answer you if you don't stop asking him questions," Jake spoke up. He made his way over to my captain's chair and plopped down on it as if he owned it.

"Keep the feet of my furniture," I warned him. I turned back to my dad to see him looking about ready to blow his top.

"The vampires of which you speak have broken several of our laws and will be dealt with," Caius replied with a maniacal grin. He was clearly looking forward to doling out some punishments.

"Who is the our you are referring to?" my dad asked refusing to shut up long enough for Caius to explain everything.

"I am referring to myself and my two brothers. We are the leaders of the vampire world, and the Cullens have broken the law. In fact, Edward Cullen has broken several laws. As I mentioned previously, they are all going to be dealt with," Caius explained.

"That's all well and good but why did you leaders wait five years to deal with them? Do you have any idea what those bastards did to my daughter?" Charlie snarled angrily. I stole a quick glance at Caius to see his reaction and he wasn't even angry.

"Charlie, I just learned about the Cullens' clear lack of respect for our laws a few days ago. I came to Forks with five members of our elite guard. I have dispatched the other four to apprehend the Cullen coven. Carlisle and his brood are not the only reason I have personally come," Caius said trying to calm my dad down.

"What other reason could you have for coming?" dad asked.

"I also recently learned that my bloodline had not died out as I had originally thought," Caius said eyeing my dad closely.

Charlie stared at him, and you could see when he figured it out. "Bella and I are your descendants."

Caius smiled, "I can where Bella inherited her deductive reasoning. You are correct, Charlie. You and Bella are my family, and I am here to take care of both of you."

It was obvious that all my worry was for nothing. My dad and Caius got along perfectly. Both of them were men that enforced laws and loved to see criminals punished. They sat down at the dining room table and chatted non-stop for a few hours.

Jake and I go bored waiting for them, so Jake managed to get Felix to agree to play Mario Kart with him. At first, it was apparent that Jake thought he had the game in the bag. Man, was he ever surprised when Felix whooped his ass. In fact, Jake's loss was so spectacular, that he sat still for five minutes just trying to process what happened.

I cracked up laughing at the look on Jake's face. I imagine it was the same look he wore the day his dad told him Santa Claus wasn't real. It was the most comical thing I have ever seen.

"Wow, Felix, you managed to pull off something that I thought would be impossible. You shut Jake up," I laughed hard.

"He played well, for a shifter," Felix said not able to resist adding that little jab.

Jake snapped out of his brain fog just in time to hear Felix's dig at him. "Hey, you walking popsicle, that's not cool. What does my shape-shifting have to do with my intelligence?"

"Nothing, I would suppose just like my age has nothing to do with whether or not I am able to play video games," Felix pointed out.

Jake threw his hands up in surrender. "I give. You are correct. I apologize for underestimating you."

"Apology accepted. How about we play the best out of three?" Felix suggested as he picked his controller back up.

Jake looked over into the dining room to check on Charlie and Caius. "Sure, it looks like the two windbags are not ready to shut up yet."

Those two managed to squeeze out the other two games before my dad announced that he needed to head back to the reservation. "My wife is probably freaking out about now since I failed to call her," dad admitted.

"Call Sue now, Dad. You don't want to end up in the dog house, do you?" I asked.

He shuddered at the thought and quickly whipped out his cell to dial Sue's number. A brief moment later, he hung up. "Let's go, Jake. My wife is going to put my ass in a sling if I'm not home in fifteen minutes."

I giggled to which dad gave me an unimpressed look. "What? It's funny. Sue doesn't put up with anyone's shit, not even yours." I wasn't even sorry for laughing. Dad needed someone like Sue to keep him in line but who obviously loved him very much.

Jake jumped up and put his controller back on the stand. "I better go take him home, chicka. She'll put my ass in a sling for not getting him home at a decent time. That woman is tiny but scary."

"I'm sorry to say this but Felix and I need to leave as well. We have to meet up with the other guard members, and I need to contact my brothers," Grandpa Caius said regretfully. He wrapped his arms around me and gave me a gentle hug and a kiss on the forehead.

I gave Jake and dad a hug and bid them all farewell. I watched as Caius actually got behind the wheel of the luxury car that I didn't know the name of which was parked next to my set of wheels. I never pictured Caius being able to drive.

The next morning I was up early like usual and went out for my mile run. It was a dark and dreary day out yet again, so I refused to dilly dally. Forks was always so dark and often wet that it gets redundant and annoying.

I was on my way back home when the clouds opened up and I was caught in a torrential downpour. Today was certainly not my day. The rain was freezing cold, which only managed to bring back awful memories from five years ago.

I was about a half a mile from home when a car honked and pulled up beside me. It was Jasper and Emmett in the Jeep.

"Hey, darlin', hop in. You're going to get sick if you stay in those wet clothes for too long," Jasper said.

I didn't even bother arguing. I yanked open the door and hopped into the back seat. Emmett put the heat on full blast and I scooted over to sit in the middle so I could get the heat to blow directly on me. I was shivering and soaked through.

"Are you okay, Belly Boo?" Emmett joked but I could see the concern for me in his eyes.

"I will be as soon as I can get out of these wet clothes," I said with my teeth chattering from the cold.

"We're closer to our place than yours. We can stop there real quick. Esme and Rosalie both left clothing behind. I'm sure we could find something that will fit you," Jasper offered.

"Sure, I just need to get warm and that's not going to happen as long as I stay in these wet clothes," I quickly agreed.

We arrived at the Cullen mansion two minutes later. It was raining even harder than before, and I dreaded having to go out in it again. Jasper sensed my distress, and he opened my door and grabbed me. He ran with me in his arms into the house. He was so fast that I never even felt a drop.

He put me down in Esme's closet which was still full of clothing and told me to help myself and to come downstairs when I was finished. I looked around for a moment and found a drawer full of brand new jeans and another one with some long sleeve henleys. I didn't want to have to walk around without a bra on, especially since it was cold out, so I rummaged around looking for some bras. I hit the jackpot and found a drawer full of brand new bras all with the tags still on. I took a quick glance at one tag and was happy to see that it was my size.

In the drawer directly under that one, I found new panties that also still had the tags on them. After the morning I've been having, I was just happy that luck seemed to be on my side right now. I grabbed a pair of bikini briefs because there was no way in hell I was going to be putting on dental floss.

I dumped my finds on the bed and went into the adjoining bathroom to try to find a towel. There was one draped across the counter, and at this point, I didn't care whether or not it was clean. I grabbed it and walked back to the bedroom.

After stripping myself down, I took the towel and dried myself off concentrating for a few minutes on my hair. Then I dressed quickly. I already felt much better.

I found a tote bag in the closet and put my wet things inside it. I ran downstairs and found the guys arguing in the living room. They were speaking too low for my ears to catch, but it was obvious something was wrong.

"Hey, guys, what's wrong and don't try to tell me nothing. You two are arguing," I said as I perched myself on the arm of the sofa.

"I'm not sure if I'm ever going to get over how observant you've become, Emmett said.

"I've always been observant. It was the blunder twins that always tried to stifle me. Now quit trying to distract me and answer the question."

Jasper looked over at Emmett and said, "I told ya. Bella does not like it when people withhold information from her especially when it affects her."

"I'm sorry, Bella," Emmett said looking thoroughly chastised.

"I forgive you. Now, spill," I ordered looking back and forth between the two of them.

"We just got a call from Esme. She wanted to check up and see what was left to do in the house. During the conversation, she told me that the family should be here soon," Jasper said with a grimace.

"Which means that we need to get you out of here as soon as possible," Emmett said in a rush.

I didn't say anything but I pulled my phone out of the back pocket of my borrowed jeans and sent a quick text to Caius. Jasper said that the Cullens will be arriving at their home any time now.

We are on our way there now, was his reply.

"I appreciate your desire to protect me, guys, but I will be fine. My grandpa is on his way," I said with a wicked grin.

They look at one another and then back at me. They sported matching evil grins. "I think we should wait until the rain slows down a bit, don't you?" Jasper asked as he walked over to the recliner and sat down.

"That is definitely a wise decision," Emmett said in response as he said down next to me.

We didn't have too long to wait when Jasper gestured to me that they were pulling in now. I could hear a few cars drive up and several voices arguing. I even heard Esme say my name. A moment later and Edward and Alice ran in followed closely by Esme and Carlisle. Rosalie took her sweet time bringing up the rear.

"Bella, we didn't expect to see you," Esme said with a huge smile.

"Jasper and Emmett save me from the torrential downpour that I found myself in," I said with a shrug.

"Bella, come over here right now. You are not to go near Jasper and Emmett," Edward ordered as he gestured to his side.

I looked at him. He was such an imbecile. "No," I said succinctly.

"Isabella Marie Swan, you will obey me. Come over here at once," he yelled. I looked over at him and wondered why I hadn't noticed how childish he was when we first met.

"My answer is still no," I said and glanced at Jasper who had a twinkle in his eye."You should be obeying your mate, Bella," Alice sneered.

"You should learn to butt out of other people's business, Alice," I replied.

"Don't you talk to me like that," She screeched while stomping her foot. How the hell did Jasper put up with her for as long as he did?

"That is enough. There is no reason to be rude, Edward, Alice, and Bella," Carlisle jumped in trying to be a peacemaker.

"Carlisle, I will remind you that you are not my father, and I was not being rude," I said politely. Turning to Jasper and Emmett, I said, "I think it has gotten too old and stuffy in here, gentleman. I'm going to step outside."

I stood up and grabbed my tote bag and walked over toward the front door, but Edward reached out and grabbed my upper arm and yanked me to him. "You will obey me," he snarled angrily.

"And you will remove your hand from Bella's arm," Caius said as he and the guard walked right in. Edward refused to obey which only pissed Caius off more. "Jasper, would you please make him feel more obedient?"

A second later and Edward released my arm. I stepped closer to my grandpa who wrapped his arm around my waist. "Thanks, Caius," I said.

"Oh, would you just look at that? Bella Swan has been whoring herself out to the Volturi. I told you she was no good. But, no, none of you would listen," Rosalie ranted while pointing a finger at me.

I couldn't keep it in. I cracked up laughing at that pathetic accusation. Jasper, Emmett, and Felix soon joined in. Caius was even grinning.

"Is that all you've got? You like to throw out accusations a lot with no evidence. I'm not the one that has been exhibiting questionable behavior," I replied with a superior grin. I knew the bitch was jealous of me.

Rosalie took a step toward me clearly forgetting the king I was standing next to. "Enough!" he ordered without even raising his voice. The Cullens, minus Jasper and Emmett, all cringed in fear. "Alec," he called out and Alec used his gift to paralyze Carlisle, Esme, Edward, Alice, and Rosalie. Jasper and Emmett walked over to stand near us. "Alec, release their heads," he ordered.

I chuckled. "You just want to see the fear in their eyes."

He grinned at me and winked. Once their heads were released, Edward started shooting his mouth off. "I demand you tell me what the hell you think you are doing?"

I couldn't believe Edward had the nerve to speak to Caius like that. Felix stepped forward and pried Edward's mouth open and proceeded to rip his tongue out. I watched in morbid fascination as the detached tongue wiggled as Felix shoved it in his pocket.

"That was gross but really effective," I said with a grin. Boy, I would have given everything to have been able to do that five years ago.

"Cullen Coven, you have been accused of breaking vampire laws. You are to be transported via the Volturi private jet to be tried by your kings. Alec is to keep you under the influence of his gift until your trial," Caius proclaimed angrily. He was really pissed at Carlisle, and you can see the terror in Carlisle's eyes. He knew he fucked up.

It may have taken five years, but I was going to get justice soon, and I couldn't wait. Ding Dong that Cullen Coven will soon be gone.
