~Hey everyone. Its the captain of Pickles here. I know its been a while since I've done anything on here. Depression is a major pain in my ass. But I've also been working on a new story. We are jumping back into the Hey Arnold Universe and bring you into the High School years of their life. Now this takes place after the Jungle Movie, so you will be seeing Arnold's parents throughout this story. This is also going to be a longer story, with some longer chapters, so please give me time to write, and I will try to get them out weekly, or as soon as I can. Thank you all again who decide to read this, it means a lot. Hope you all enjoy, and we will talk soon!~

Hey Arnold: The High School Years

Chapter 1 - Back to School

Beep Beep Beep Beep

Arnold groaned at the sound, wakening him up from the wonderful dream he was having. He rolled over, smacking the device with the vengeance of a hundred suns. He laid on his back, staring into the gorgeous blue sky that was above him through his skylight. It was the first day of school. But now he was a freshman in High School. Arnold sighed as a knock on the door caught his attention.

"Arnold, you awake? Time to get up for school Mr. Freshman" Stella, his mother said to him. Arnold chuckled softly.

"Yea mom, I'm up, gonna get ready and I'll be down in a minute" Arnold said with a small smile as his mom closed the door. Arnold yawned as he sat up and stretched, feeling his joints pop and stretch. He brought his feet over and set them on the cool carpet. He quickly got up and sighed, grabbing the small remote and using it to put his hideaway couch into the wall. He turned on some jazz and took a deep breath, starting his morning workout routine, which consisted of push ups, sit ups, planks, and squats. Arnold did 10 of each, with 10 sets all together. Ever since he had hit his growth spurt, going from a measly 4 feet 5 inches tall, to a staggering 6 feet 3 inches tall in just a summer, was crazy enough. He didn't want to be a lanky kind of guy, so over the summer he started working out every morning. He had an impressive build, bringing him to about 200 pounds of lean, solid muscle.

He finished his sets, smiling as he looked at the time. It was 6:30 in the morning. Still having plenty of time, he quickly went to the bathroom and turned on his new shower. Since the bathroom in the boarding house was always being used by everyone else, it was always difficult for Arnold to get in to get ready. So, after much persuasion of his parents, they finally agreed to take some of the attic space not being used behind his wall, and turn it into a bathroom for Arnold. He walked in and turned on the shower, letting the water get warm as he undressed and hopped in. After about 15 minutes, he finally finished and turned off the water, grabbing his towel and pushed the curtain to the side. Arnold smiled as he got out and headed for his closet. He found his pair of blue jeans, and his infamous dark green shirt. He smiled as he looked at himself in the mirror, liking the look that his half dried hair gave him. He grabbed his watch and threw it on, smiling as he grabbed his red flannel and tied it around his waist. He nodded in approval as he turned off his music and grabbed his shoes, slipping them on as he headed downstairs.

"Morning everyone" Arnold said as he walked into the dining room, seeing most of the boarders eating their meal. They either grunted or said good morning through a cup of coffee. Arnold took his seat as his mom came out and placed some pancakes in front of him, with maple syrup and butter. Arnold looked gleefully at the stack and smiled, grabbing his knife and fork and digging in.

"Delicious as always mom" Arnold said in-between bites. Stella giggle and kissed the top of his head. His father came in with his own stack and a steaming cup of coffee.

"You better eat up, Freshman year is no joke" Miles said as he set his plate down, taking a sip from his coffee.

"Dad, you've been saying for every new grade I've been in" Arnold said with a smile. His father chuckled. Granted, he's only been here from the sixth grade to now, but it was still his favorite thing to do. Miles came over and clapped him on the shoulder.

"I know, but I missed so many of them, I need to catch up" Miles said with a smile. Arnold could only smile in between bites as his dad sat down and began eating. Arnold finished the last few bites and then chugged his milk, sitting back in his chair as he felt full and ready to go. He got up and smiled, heading to the kitchen to drop off his plate and glass. He looked at the clock on the wall and saw it was already 7:30 A.M.

"Gotta go mom, see you after school" Arnold said as he gave Stella a kiss on the cheek.

"Want me to give you a ride? It's right on my way" Miles said as he came into the kitchen.

"I'm good dad, gonna meet up with Gerald before school. See you tonight" Arnold said as he whisked through the dining room and headed to the front door.

"Well be good, and enjoy your first day of school" Stella called after him as he grabbed his bag, heading out the door quicker than they had expected. Stella looked like she was about to cry when Miles put an arm around her shoulders.

"Don't worry dear. Our Little Arnold is just growing up. He still loves ya" Miles said as he kissed his wife's head.

"I know, but I don't wanna lose him" Stella said as she held onto her husband.

"You're his mother, you are never gonna lose him, especially after San Lorenzo" Miles said and they both chuckle. She took her husbands hand and kissed it softly.

"I know, but I can still be worried for him" Stella said as she went back to the stove to finish breakfast for the others.

Arnold could only smile as he started walking down the street, seeing his best friend Gerald waiting for him on his stoop.

"It's about time man, where you been?" Gerald said as he jumped down and fist bumped Arnold.

"Sorry, mom made pancakes, couldn't say no" Arnold said as they both chuckled. They started down the road towards school.

"No worries man, I understand. So you ready for High school man. I mean, can you believe it. We're Freshman now" Gerald said with excitement as he looked over at Arnold. Arnold could only shake his head and chuckle under his breath.

"Yea I know. A whole new chapter has started and we don't even know what's going to happen. By the way how are things with you and Phoebe? I know you all had a spat earlier in the summer" Arnold said as he looked over at his friend.

"We worked it out. It was hard with her being gone for over a month to see her family back home, but we had to fight through it" Gerald said as they rounded the corner and continued on. Within a few minutes they saw two lovely ladies standing outside, waiting for them.

"There they are. It's about time" Phoebe said with a tone in her voice, causing the rest of them to giggle. Phoebe could only smile as she ran up and jumped into Gerald's arms, kissing him deeply.

"Geez, get a room you two" Helga said as she walked up to Arnold. Arnold smiled and pulled her into his arms, kissing her softly and slowly. She moaned softly as she felt his lips on hers, missing the feeling and him.

"Oh, like you should be talking" Gerald said as they broke their kiss, causing all of them to laugh. The two couples had been dating since the 7th grade, finally breaking out of their shells and asking their significant others out. It had taken them a while to get used to the idea of public affection, but now they didn't care. They finally had their person and nothing could change that. They all smiled and quickly started moving towards school.

"So what do we all think of having to go to school at P.S. 118?" Phoebe asked as she adjusted her jacket, then put her arm back around Gerald.

"Why did they change the elementary school into the High School. The building is old enough as it is" Helga said as Arnold squeezed her side. She wiggled and giggle at the touch.

"Well at least we know the school, so we wont have to be hunting for classrooms" Arnold said with a smile.

"Yea, but does that mean we get all new teachers, or are we gonna be seeing the same people as before?" Gerald asked as they all pondered the question. They didn't talk for a few minutes, just allowing the cool morning breeze to rush over them as they came up to the school.

They walked up the steps and smiled, joining the line of kids who were getting their schedules. Phoebe fixed her green Army Jacket and leaned against Gerald, who in turn wrapped his arms around her. Helga stood by Arnold's side, but wrapped her arm around his back, laying her head on this chest.

"Man why is this line taking so long? How hard is it to get your class schedule?" Gerald asked as he looked at the time, knowing the bell was going to ring any second. Arnold nodded in agreement.

"It's the first day, so kids are just naturally freaked out" Helga said as he let out a sigh. They talked among themselves as the line started to move up, finally getting them into the building. Within a few minutes, they each got their schedules and moved to the side, checking them over each other.

"Arnold and I got History and Science together" Gerald said with a smile as he patted his friend on the back.

"Phoebe and I got Science together" Helga said.

"Helga and I have Literature and Theater, and Algebra together" Arnold said as Helga fist bumped in the air.

"Thank god I'm horrible at Algebra" Helga said as they all chuckled.

"We all have lunch together, and it looks like we have study hall at the end of the day together as well" Phoebe said with a smile. They all sent up a high five as the bell rang. Students began rushing to find their classes.

"Well, I guess we can get this day started" Gerald said as the girls looked sad to be gone from their lovers. Arnold only smiled as he took Helga by the waist and kissed her softly. Helga whimpered as she kissed him back, missing his touch. Gerald did the same thing with Phoebe as they all hugged.

"I'll see you in a few hours" Helga said in a soft tone. They all said their goodbyes and finally headed off towards class. Gerald and Arnold picked up the pace, finally making it to their first period, history.

"Alright good morning students. Take your seats. Welcome to High School. My name is Mr. Simmons, and I will be your history teacher this year. Now some of you I remember, and some of you this is our first time meeting. So let's go around the room and introduce ourselves" Mr Simmons said with a smile. The boys smiled as they saw Mr. Simmons. He was one of the best teachers in the area. They went through the whole class and introduced themselves as Mr Simmons took notes before starting the class.

"Alright, good work, now today we are going to start in ancient Greece. Please grab a textbook and open to page 5" Mr. Simmons said as he helped student pass around books. Once everyone was there, he began the lesson. An hour and a half later, the bell rang, signaling the end of class. "Alright class, that's it for today, make sure you read through chapter 2 tonight for tomorrow's discussion" Mr. Simmons said as the kids grabbed their bags and headed out the door. Gerald gave Arnold a fist bump as he headed for Algebra, while Arnold was going a few doors down to Literature and Theater. Arnold smiled as he walked in and saw the desk next to Helga was empty.

"Excuse me, is this seat taken?" Arnold said with a small smile on his face, looking down at his beautiful girlfriend. Helga looked up and smiled back at him.

"I'm not too sure, my boyfriend is gonna be coming in any minute, so you might have to fight him for the seat" Helga said with a smirk. Arnold chuckled as he took the seat.

"Well I guess I will have to wait for him then" Arnold said as they both laughed.

"Hey guys, we got the same class" Sid said as he came and took a seat near them.

"Gee Wilikers, glad I know somebody in this class at least" Stinky said with a smile as he took the seat behind Sid. They all talked for a moment before the bell rang.

"Okay class settle down, welcome to Literature and Theater. My name is Mrs. Brown and I will be your teacher for this class. Now this class is broken up into two sections. The first part is literature, where we will go over all of the great literature that changed history. The second part, is we will be putting what we learned in the first, onto the stage. You will be divided into pairs and you will choose a scene to act out for the class. Who knows, you might even be selected to show the whole school" Mrs. Brown said with a smile. The kids in the class whispered to themselves on who they might choose. Arnold looked over at Helga and gave her a smile, which she returned with a nod and smile of her own. The rest of the class seemed to go by in an instant, the bell ringing loudly within the room. All the kids grabbed their books and put them in their bags, shuffling out of the room and towards their next class. Helga and Arnold came to the junction in school where they had to part ways, a sad look in Helga's eyes.

"I'll see you at lunch?" Arnold asked as he took her hand.

"Yea what do you got next?" Helga asked.

"P.E, then we got lunch" Arnold said as he kissed her hand softly. She blushed hard every time he did that. "What about you?" he asked.

"Science. At least I got Phoebe in that one. Go, don't be late" Helga said as she lifted onto her toes and kissed him softly on the lips. Arnold was now the one blushing at her kiss. They finally parted ways and headed to their respective classes.

Arnold got to the locker room and saw Harold and a few others there. Harold had really slimmed down over the past few years. When they were entering the 7th grade, he had a scare that looked a lot like a heart attack. It finally clicked in his mind he couldn't do the eating challenges anymore. He put himself on a strict diet and started working out. Within a year, he had dropped 50 pounds and put on a serious amount of muscle.

"Hey Arnold, glad to see we got PE together. Did you hear, we got dodge ball today" Harold said as they fist bumped each other. Arnold smiled and started to get changed.

"Hope you're ready Harold, cause you got me to deal with" Arnold said with a smirk on his face. Harold chuckled and shook his head.

"Confident as ever, I see. Wait till you get out on the field, then you can talk smack" Harold said as he closed his locker, walking past Arnold and giving him a smack on the back. Arnold could only smile as he finished up and headed towards the gym. He came in and lined up with the others, hearing their names being called out. They quickly divided into two teams, moving to their respective sides of the gym. Arnold smiled at Harold as the whistle blew. Both teams ran straight into the center as they grabbed whatever balls they could and moved back. Arnold was able to grab one and tossed it a smaller kid, knocking him in the chest and sending him to the ground. Harold threw one and took out a girl on the other side of the room. As the match ensued, kids were going in and out for the entire match, soon though it was down to two. Harold and Arnold smiled as they took shot after shot, missing by mere inches as the crowd cheered them on. Harold ran forward and tried to throw at point blank range. As the ball came towards him, Arnold did a back flip, allowing Harold's ball to fly right past him. Harold was too stunned to see Arnold ball come up and smack him directly in the chest. The ball fell to the ground before he could move to grab it. The whistle blew and the kids cheered as Arnold walked up, holding out his hand for Harold.

"You got this round Arnold" Harold said with a smile as he took the hand, getting brought up and bumping his fist with him. They switched up the teams and played 3 more rounds, before the coach called it and told everyone to go get cleaned up and changed. Arnold was dripping with sweat as he headed to the locker room.

"Dude, you got to teach me how to do that back flip" Harold said as he got to his locker, pulling off his shirt and grabbing his shower bag. Arnold followed suit and grabbed his towel as well. They both headed in along with the others and started the shower.

"It takes time man, but start thinking about it and I can show you" Arnold said as he got his hair wet. It was quiet for a few minutes before Harold brought up another question.

"You and Helga still going strong?" Harold asked.

"Yea, got our two year anniversary coming up here in October, still don't know what I'm gonna do for that" Arnold said with a smile as he turned to look at Harold. "What about you, got anyone special these days? I know you and Patty were dating for a summer" Arnold said as he rubbed down his body with soap.

"Yea, unfortunately that didn't last. We just were not compatible. But to be honest, my eye is on Rhonda" Harold said. Several of the boys ooh him and chuckled when he told them to shut up.

"Rhonda Wellington Lloyd, you going for the big money eh?" Arnold said with a smile as he set the soap down.

"Ah, it's not even the money. I really screwed things up in the past, and I want to make it right with her. But she probably wont even notice me. She always wants to go for the more attractive guys" Harold said, looking defeated.

"Don't worry man, you changed since then. I mean, look at you. You are in the peak health of your entire life, and you went from a bully to someone who is well respected in the community. You just got to show her that you care about her. Maybe all you need to do is talk to her" Arnold said as he turned off the shower and grabbed his towel, drying himself off. Harold followed suit as they grabbed their items and headed back to the lockers. Arnold dried himself off and started getting dressed. Harold opened his locker and just started thinking.

"You know, maybe you're right Arnold. Maybe I just need to go up and apologize for my past and ask her out to dinner or something" Harold said with a smile as he dried off and started getting dressed. Soon they were finished up and talking, Arnold taking a moment to dry his hair a little bit better. Once the bell rang, they grabbed their bags and joined everyone filing out.

"Let's get some food man" Arnold said with a smile as they walked out of the locker.

"Yea I need to eat something, breakfast don't last very long anymore" Harold said with a smile as they he put his arm over Arnold's shoulders and walked with him to the cafeteria.

To say that the cafeteria got an upgrade would be an understatement. Gone were the dreary rustic colored tiles and the lime green walls. Everything had been updated. White stone floors with blue and white tables and chairs. It felt more modern. Arnold smiled as they got in line, following behind the kids as they moved forward, grabbing a tray and seeing what they had to offer. Thankfully, the Hillwood School Board passed a policy that took out the horrible government food, instead switching to fresh, local foods. This meant healthier, and tastier choices for the students. Arnold went for a chicken ceaser wrap, some veggies and peanut butter, a cup of Greek yogurt, and a bottle of water. Harold got his plate all setup, opting to go to the full salad bar that was to the side. Once they were ready, they went to find their friends.

"Do you see em?" Harold asked.

"Nope, guess we beat them here, lets grab a table over there so we got something at least" Arnold said as they made their way and sat down, talking amongst themselves, or mainly...Harold talking about Rhonda. He truly had it for her. Soon more of their friends came and joined them. A plate came down next to Arnold and a pair of arms wrapped around him, kissing the top of his head.

"You smell nice" Helga said as she nuzzled his head. She sat down and reached over and kissed him softly.

"Yea, had to get a shower after the ultimate rounds of dodge ball we had today" Arnold said as him and Harold fist bumped. Gerald and Phoebe came and sat down, Phoebe opting to use Gerald as a chair instead of the one next to her. Gerald didn't care. He loved the girl and couldn't imagine anything better.

"We heard about that, something about a back flip in the first round" Phoebe said as Gerald nodded. Harold pointed right at Arnold and smiled.

"This dude is like a ninja, he's quick on them moves" Harold said with a smile Arnold chuckled, taking a bite of his food. They laughed and talked as they ate their lunch, sharing gossip and everything they had heard for their first day. "Soon, the first bell rang, causing everyone to groan, meaning they had to get back to learning. They all got up and flied out of the cafeteria and onto their next class. The good news is there was only three classes left that day and the next one was Algebra for Arnold and Helga.

The rest of the day went on without too much trouble. Their classes seem to be easy going as they were getting the idea of everything they would have to be doing. Soon it was time for them to leave, the final bell ringing as they all grabbed their books and filed out. Arnold was the first to arrive outside, seeing Gerald and Phoebe coming out, Helga right behind them. Helga made her way to Arnold's waiting arms, kissing him as they were finally free.

"Man, I thought the day would never end, and I still have homework to do" Gerald said with a shake of his head.

"Same for us, we got Algebra we need to study" Arnold said as they started walking. Most of their other friends waved as they past them, eager to get him. They talked for a little while more as they rounded the corner onto their street. Gerald and Phoebe heading the opposite direction.

"Don't stay out too late, you two love birds" Helga yelled as they waved them off and headed around the corner. "Those two, I swear" Helga said with a smile.

"Can you blame em, once you find that special someone, you don't want to let go" Arnold said with a smile as Helga placed her head onto his shoulder. They walked until they got closer to Helga's house. She could already hear an argument going on, Big Bobs voice carrying all the way outside.

"Great, he's in a mood tonight. Do you mind if I come over to do my studying? I know if I try to do it here, I'll never get it done" Helga said. Arnold smiled.

"You know you have an open invitation to my house. My parents already cleared it anyway" Arnold said.

"Great, let me go drop off some stuff and grab some things" Helga said as she ran up the stoop and into the house. They yelling between Bob and Miriam continued as Arnold took a seat on the side of the stoop, kicking his feet as he waited for Helga. Olga and Helga came out at the same time.

"Oh, hi Arnold. Take care of my baby sister. I'm heading to a friends house since daddy is being angry" Olga said. She didn't give him time to respond as she turned and headed down the street. Helga took Arnold's hand and smiled, pulling him off the stoop and towards his house. Within a few minutes they were finally at the boarding house, the traffic outside starting to pick up on the street. They walked in and closed the door behind them.

"Mom, dad, I'm home" Arnold yelled as he kicked off his shoes and smiled. Stella came in from the living room and smiled, hugging Arnold the way a mother should. She looked over and smiled as she released Arnold.

"Helga, it's so good to see you again. What brings you by?" Stella asks with a smile on her face.

"Unfortunately my dad is in another one of his moods and I need to get some homework done, and thankfully Arnold is great at Algebra" Helga said.

"Well, we know how your father can get, but you are always welcome here no matter what" Stella said as she pulled Helga into a hug. Helga could feel her warmth and wanted to melt into it. Her own mother hadn't hugged her in close to 5 years now. So she was going to suck this up as much as she could. They broke the hug and Stella shooed them upstairs, letting them know dinner will be getting started soon. Arnold and Helga smiled as they headed up the stairs and to Arnold's room.

"When did you get your own bathroom?" Helga asked as she put her bag on the side of his bed.

"Over the summer. The main bathroom downstairs gets used all the time and it's a pain to get to in the mornings, so I asked and got one put in" Arnold said as he reached over and grabbed his basketball shorts and tank top and smiled. "Speaking of which, I will be right back, Make yourself comfortable" Arnold said as he went into the bathroom, using it and then changing. He came out after washing his hands, throwing his dirty clothes into the basket. Helga couldn't help but blush as she sat on the bed, his arm muscles looking like he was sculpted by the gods. He looked over and smiled, hitting the button on the remote to put on some chillstep. He grabbed his bag and smiled as he sat on the bed with Helga. "So homework first, then make out?" Arnold asked with a smirk on his face as he grabbed his algebra book. Helga smirked at him back.

"You got yourself a deal shortman" Helga said as she did the same, laying out her book and her notebook. It only took them about an hour for Arnold to go over everything and help Helga with her homework. For some reason, he had a better way of explaining it than the teacher ever did. Once they were finished. He closed up his book and slipped it back into his bag. A small knock at the door made Helga jump. Stella popped her head in.

"Hey you two, just a heads up, dinner will be in about 30 minutes. Also it looks like it's gonna storm, so we need to see how the weather is gonna turn out" Stella said as Arnold thanked her and the door closed again. Helga breathed a sign of relief as she looked over at Arnold, who was staring at her with instinct flowing in his eyes. She felt her heart rate quicken as he moved closer, his hand taking hers and kissing it softly, his eyes fluttering as he smelled her wrist. He bit it softly, hearing let out a small moan as she moved closer to him. Arnold wasted no time and brought her onto his lap, his hands feeling up her back as she moved her hands around his neck. Within seconds of their eyes locking, their lips were on each other, a feral instinct inside each other driving their movements. Helga moaned as his tongue found hers, her hands roaming all over his chest and arms. Arnold laid her softly onto the bed, raising her hands above her head and holding them there as she looked into his eyes. He slowed and looked into hers, releasing her hands and moving his own to her face.

"How did I get so lucky" Arnold asked softly.

"That I can answer later, but it's been about 15 minutes of rough kissing and if we keep going, your family is gonna think were having sex" Helga said as Arnold smiled, getting up and helping her sit up as well. They both needed a minute to cool down. Lightening shot across the sky. They both looked up and saw the drops of rain beginning to hit the window panes. They composed themselves and smiled as they put their bags on the floor and headed downstairs, joining the others as dinner was just being served. They took their seats and smiled as the other boarders came in, griping about their day and wanting to hear about the kids first day of school. Stella came in and smiled as she put a large plate of Chicken and roasted vegetables down, heading back to the kitchen and getting some roasted potatoes as well. Everyone filled their plate and reminisced of the old times, telling stories of their high school days. Laughs and arguments were prominent for the first bit. Miles came in 30 minutes late to dinner.

"Sorry I'm late everyone, the weather is horrible out there. I couldn't even see the road" Miles said as everyone said hi to him. "Hey Helga, long time no see" Miles said as he want to put up his coat. Helga stood up and gave him a hug, smiling as he was more of a father figure to her than her own father. They all continued talking as they ate, just enjoying each others company. Another crash of thunder and lightening filled the house as the lights flickered for a moment, then went back to normal.

"Oh Helga, you are not going out in this. Why don't you use the phone in the kitchen and see if it's ok for you to stay the night" Stella said as the rain picked up outside. Helga nodded and blushed as she looked at Arnold. She walked into the kitchen and called the house phone. Of course there was no answer and it went straight to the answering machine. Once she heard the beep, she spoke.

"Hey mom and dad, it's me, Helga...your daughter. Hey the weather is getting pretty bad, and I can't make it home, so the Shortmans are letting me stay with them for the night. If you need anything that is where I will be. Bye" Helga said as she hung up the phone and walked back in. "No answer, but that usually means dad is somewhere in the house or mom's asleep on the couch" Helga said as she let out a sigh. Arnold took her hand and smiled. "It's ok Helga, at least here, you're safe for the night" Arnold said with a smile on his face. They finished their meal and headed back upstairs, finding a movie to watch for the two of them. Arnold placed a pillow behind him as he sat down first, Helga laying back against him. He started the movie and wrapped his arms around her. They had to pause the movie part way through as Stella knocked on the door. She walked in and smiled as she placed down some blankets and pillows for the sofa if they needed it. She gave them a wink and a soft giggle as she walked out, closing the door behind her. Arnold could only shake his head. As they started the movie again, she curled up into him and sighed, feeling his warmth and as she danced her thumb with his. Arnold kissed the top of her head and smiled. Another crash of lightening and thunder filled the sky above them as the lights and power finally had enough and died. Arnold groaned as he heard steps coming up the staircase.

"C'mon in dad. Powers out up here too" Arnold said with a sigh as he got up from behind Helga, his dad opening the door and passing him a lantern.

"Sorry guy's, gonna be a long night they say with this storm. You might wanna try and get some sleep" Miles said as Arnold thanked him and headed back down the stairs as Arnold closed the door. He turned on the lantern and turned the brightness of it way down, only to where it was a small light in the room. He looked over at Helga and took in a breath.

"Do you...want to get ready for bed. I would say you could take the sofa, but there is no way to get it out now" Arnold said, with an awkward chuckle, his cheeks flaring with red. Helga smiled awkwardly as well, standing up and grabbing her bag.

"Yea, looks like we are gonna share the bed tonight" Helga said as she took a ragged breath in. "I'm...just gonna go get changed" Helga said as she took the light from Arnold and smiled as she quickly hurried into the bathroom. Arnold waited for the door to close and then grabbed the extra pillows and set them up on the bed. Arnold was shaking for no reason as he took off his tank top and crawled into bed, covering himself with the sheet. He laid there and looked up at the stormy sky above, wondering how Helga would look when she came out. Sure, they had dated for almost 2 years, and they had slept in the same bed together, but that was with everyone there in his room as well. Now it was just them. Only them, and no one else. Arnold felt his heart quicken as he head the bathroom door open. Helga came out in a over sized shirt and a pair of pink lace panties. She looked nervous as she set the lantern down, taking a long, deep breath. She finally mustered up the courage to do what she wanted to do. She grabbed the shirt and pulled it over her head, throwing it to the side of the bed where she could easily grab it if need be. She stood there, naked from the waist up, the silence becoming deafening as she looked over at Arnold. Arnold was mesmerized at her beauty, and her body.

"If...this is too much, I can put on the shirt. But I normally sleep in just underwear" Helga said as she moved closer to the bed, bringing the lantern with her. Arnold could only stare as she grew closer, the lump in his throat staying in place.

"N-no, it's okay. I want you to be comfortable" Arnold said as he took the lantern and turned it off, placing it in the big cubby above his head. He held out his hand for Helga. She took it with a bit of hesitation as she moved into the bed and slid in next to him. Arnold turned onto his side and looked directly into her eyes. Even in complete darkness, it was like he was peering into her soul. His hand came up and brushed a bit of hair from her face, his thumb caressing her cheek. Helga shuddered at his touch, the ecstasy becoming too much for her. She took his hand from her cheek, and lead it down to her chest, placing it on her right breast. Arnold felt his heart go into overdrive as he softly squeezed her breast.

"Ar-Are you sure Helga?" Arnold asked as he spoke to her softly. She looked into his eyes and smiled as she nodded.

"You are the only one Arnold. The only one I ever want. I-I love you" Helga said as she leaned into his hand on her chest. Arnold was stunned at her words. Not sure what to say at first, he gave himself a second before taking her hand, and placing it on his chest, right over his heart. She could feel his heart beating rapidly as she breathed heavily.

"My heart...belongs to you. No one else...just...you. I love you too" Arnold said as he moved closer. Soon their lips were together, their raw primal instinct coming out as they kissed each other deeply, their skin brushing each other and sending jolts of electricity through them. As the lightening and thunder danced across the sky, the two lovers felt nothing but bliss, peace, and serenity. Deep into the night, the two would caress, kiss, and explore their upper bodies, until finally, they could stay awake no more. Arnold wrapped her into his arms as Helga laid her head on his chest, smiling as she could finally sleep, for what felt like the first in her life she was able to. ~Wow, That was a lot of writing. I know it seems like a lot for the first chapter, but I really wanted to set the scene for how the rest of this series is going to go. If you all have any ideas or want something to brought into the series, leave me a review or shoot me a message. I usually always see them and I will see what I can do. But if you made it this far, thank you for reading and cannot wait to see you on the next chapter!~
