Sophia's POV

Nik and I decided to leave Rebekah to look for the tree since now that it had something to do with my family I wanted nothing to do with it so Nik and I got busy with the next part of the plan which involved tracking down the rest of his siblings to get their blood, get the Bennett witch to perform the unlinking spell on Nik and the rest of them and to find Finn but first came finding Kol and for me that was easy since I knew Kol better than I knew myself.

Nik and I had split up, he had gone to find Elijah and once I got started on tracking down Kol it was pretty easy especially when I knew how to pick up on his trails and followed them leading me to New York and I rolled my eyes since he was so predictable.

I walked into the bar which was my most recent find and headed towards the back bar rolling my eyes when I spotted him instantly hopelessly trying to flirt a girl into leaving the bar with him so I went over stopping behind him.

"Excuse me but have you seen my best friend, I think he might be suffering from a lack of vitamin me" I spoke up watching him instantly turn to me with a smile.

"Girl, did you fall from heaven to be with me?" he smirked back, his girl forgotten and pissed standing behind him. "Cause I don't have a lot of female friends"

"Just one and you left without saying goodbye" I scolded him with a smirk and he chuckled before he pulled me into a hug and I smiled before I hit the back of his head as we pulled apart.

"What was that for?"

"You know what" I bit back with a small glare along with the hint of a smile.

"Excuse me but who are you, we were talking?" the girl spoke up making Kol and I turn towards her.

"I'm his best friend, now..." I locked eyes with her. "If I was you I'd walk away and not remember seeing either of us today" I compelled her and she stared for a second before picking up her drink and walking off.

"Hey she was dinner" Kol complained making me roll my eyes as I waved the bartender over ordering a shot of bourbon.

"You'll live"

"So why are you here darling, finally get sick of my big brother?" he asked getting a drink himself smirking suggestively at me.

"In your dreams Kol, I'm here for your blood"

"Kinky" he smirked at me and I couldn't help laugh a little shaking my head at him.

"Nik found a way to unlink you all and it requires your blood"

"So all business then, you didn't come all this way just to see me?" he asked faking hurt.

"Maybe if you hadn't fled we could have finally had our usual fun but for right now this is priority since your mothers not gonna give up so we need to get you all unlinked, now I know you don't want to suddenly drop dead if your mother finds a way to kill one of you right?"

"Very true, I'm too gorgeous to die like that" he smirked before bringing his wrist to his mouth and bit down. "Where did you want me darling?" I smiled pulling out the vial Nik gave me and he let his blood drop into it filling it.

"Thank you and now I get 12 hours of fun with my best friend" I smirked at him especially when his eyes widened before he smirked mischievously and Kolphia hit the streets of New York creating mischief, feeding and draining bars of liquor that surely if we were human we'd be dead with blood alcohol poisoning.

When the 12 hours of Nik-free, Kolphia time was over and I was getting ready to leave it was hard to say goodbye because I did love Kol like a brother and he was my best friend but the final part of my coming here was to deliver Nik's message and send him to Denver where his task was to get close to Jeremy so that we could use him as leverage on the Bennett witch to do the spell.

"Nik and I will let you know when your needed" I told him while I hugged him tightly, my sunglasses covering my eyes since I was still slightly hung over and he was a matching picture of a hungover mess. "And promise me you'll be careful"

"Worried about me, I'm honored darling" he smirked so I hit his arm.

"Don't joke Kol, you and Nik are the most important people in my life-"

"Wouldn't Rebekah love to hear that" I rolled my eyes since he could never be serious. "Don't worry Soph, I'll be fine so long as Nik gets us unlinked"

"He will" I promised him since if he didn't I would because I could barely bare to think about losing one of the Mikaelson's, let alone all of them in one go and without him and Nik I'd be completely alone.

"You be careful back in Mystic Falls, my brother lets anything happen to you I'll kick his ass" I laughed since that'd be a fight worth witnessing.

"I will" I leaned up and kissed his cheek. "Thanks for the party" I smirked before I left getting into the car and let the driver pull away leaving him behind to head to Denver while I went to meet up with Nik who'd already gotten Elijah's blood and was now on Finn's trail with Rebekah's help so we were meeting back in Mystic Falls.

Within 6 hours I was back in Mystic Falls walking into the mansion calling out for Nik but he clearly wasn't back yet so I went into the kitchen since I had the serious munchies right now for human snacks and lucky I hid my red licorice sticks which was my favorite snack of this century and pulled them from a top counter turning around and nearly jumped out of my skin when I saw a woman standing behind me.

"Jesus...who the hell are you?" I glared at her since none of Nik's compelled human servants were that quiet which meant she was clearly a vampire.

"Sage, you must be Sophia right?" she asked and I frowned before I remembered hearing that name, Damon mentioned a sage when Bekah and I were asking about the tree.

"Yeah" I frowned putting my snack down on the bench, no longer in the mood. "What are you doing here?"

"Rebekah called, said that they'd found Finn"

"Finn?" I asked since how the hell did she know Finn but I could already tell she was older than me so who the hell knew but as far as I'd known Finn had been in his coffin for 900years.

"He's my sire" she filled in clearly seeing my look.

"Oh...so your-?"

"900 years old" she laughed clearly understanding what I'd been trying to ask.

"Cool" I smirked since I've always loved this part of vampirism, meeting old ones since I loved hearing about the world and how much it was different. "Well I guess they'll be home shortly, your welcome to anything as I'm sure Rebekah told you" I grabbed my snack and started heading out since the whole time I'd been watching her I'd noticed she'd been taking me in and I guess I understood...to others I was Niklaus Mikaelson's side piece, the girl he mysteriously travelled around with-

"Your so different from your brother" I froze at the door turning around since how the hell did she know.

"Who?" I asked playing dumb.

"Damon, he's your twin right?" she asked and I glared since was he seriously running around telling people that we were twins.

"Not anymore" I frowned walking out.

I heard Sage head upstairs while I went into the parlor sitting down picking up a random book from the coffee table opening it up but stopped when I realized it wasn't a book, it was Nik's sketch pad and smiled a little as I started flipping through it seeing many of his charcoal landscapes before towards the back there was at least 10 portraits all of me and I examined each other carefully since they were beautiful and painted me in a better light than I could ever see in real life like seeing me through his eyes...made me flawless and I'm sure that's how he intended them to be especially the one that was clearly inspired by our talk at the ball next to the horses since he'd drawn me standing next to a beautiful horse and I absolutely loved it.

I looked up when I heard a thud from the entrance so I put the sketch pad down and started walking towards it heading a grunt followed by someone sliding across the floor with two other sets of footsteps making me smile a little knowing that meant that Nik and Rebekah were back and that they'd successfully brought Finn back.

"Gather your witch, lets get his blood and get on with it" I heard Bekah say.

"You can't force me to help you" yep that was definitely Finn's annoying voice, I already hated him and that's saying something since we have never had a conversation and I was intending to keep it that way after what he tried to pull with their mother.

"Oh I most likely could but why force when I can persuade?" I heard Nik reply just as I made it into the entrance and watched him point to the top of the stairs where Sage was waiting and Finn's eyes widened just slightly at the sight of her as she smiled at him.

"Hello Finn"

"Sage!" he said getting up and they rushed towards each other meeting at the bottom of the stairs in a hug reunited after 900 years and although I didn't like Finn I smiled at the sight as I made my way over to Nik and Bekah.

"What do you know, true love prevails" Bekah said with an attitude.

"It does occasionally have its uses" Nik replied pulling his phone out and drew something on the screen before sending it off and my guess it was to Kol who'd already be in Denver and anxious to get to where he was needed. "Easier than torturing him"

"Well its less fun" I smirked leaning up and kissed his cheek in greeting as he smiled at me.

"I have something to do, what do you need from me for this spell?" Bekah asked looking at Nik.

"Just your blood and your blessing" Nik replied but I frowned wondering where she was going.

"Where are you going?" I asked since we all just got back and she was already out of here.

"I have some unfinished business with your twin brother, ask Sage what he did to me than you'll understand why retribution is in order" she spat before leaving and I followed her with my eyes frowning a little but wouldn't get involved since by the tone of her voice whatever Damon did I'm sure he deserved it.

"Did you get it my love?" Nik suddenly asked getting my attention and I nodded knowing what he wanted and went over to my bags by the door and pulled out the vial of Kol's blood and handed it to him. "Have fun?"

"About as much fun as Kol and I usually have when it's just us" I smiled at him and he seemed to shudder just at the thought of what we got up to making me laugh a little. "I don't think any bar in New York city has any liquor left"

"I heard about the missing bike gang" he smirked and I couldn't help smile.

"We got hungry half way through the night" I shrugged as he shook his head at my explanation for the news reports on Kol and I's midnight snack, at least we picked the people that no one would really miss, the only reason it made the news was Kol stupidly left a few bleeding out in the bar and they'd been found so they thought there was a psycho killer on the loose which is why it's a good thing we both left after our fun night.

"I'm just glad your back"

"I was gone a day Nik" I laughed but let him pull me towards him as we walked towards the parlor. "You've gone longer without me"

"Not lately, is it a crime that I missed you"

"No it isn't" I laughed before turning in front of him and leant up to kiss him, slow and emotion filled, a kiss that didn't need to be rushed or lust filled. "I missed you too" I admitted before stepping back. "Don't you have a witch to fetch?" I asked him.

"Soon" he replied pulling me back towards him and I laid my head against his chest letting myself take comfort in his arms.

"The sooner your unlinked the better Nik, I'm not going anywhere" I told him knowing lately how insecure he's been since his mother betrayed him.

"Okay but after all this I'm taking you away for some much needed time away from all the drama"

"There's no such thing around you" I joked earning a small smiled glare from him. "But just you and me, I do like the sound of that"

"It's a date then"

"Look forward to it, my lover" I smirked at him watching him smile when I called him 'my lover' as it's been a while since I had before he left to fetch the witch and I was left alone in the house but it wasn't for long as I heard Rebekah come back about 10 minutes after Nik left dragging something behind her so I followed her into the ballroom and saw her chaining Damon up with bear traps and my eyes widened since he really did something to piss her off.

"I found them in the shed, what kind of monster would trap a poor defenseless animal?" she asked him as she secured them around his wrists.

"Got to admit, even for me it's a little kinky" Damon remarked and I rolled my eyes watching as Bekah pulls out a knife pointing it at him.

"You pretended to be interested in me and then you slept with me so your trampy friend Sage could steal my thoughts" I raised an eye since that's what he did and it must have been how Sage knew he was my twin. "Ever since then, I've felt this incessant need to one-up you so I've decided to bleed the vervain from your system" she rips his shirt open.

"Oh" Damon croons pretending to like it before she slices the knife down his chest with the knife and he groans meaning it hurt. "You want to compel me to be your boyfriend?"

"Actually, I'd rather compel you to k1ll your brother or Elena but since vampires heal bleeding you may take a while, we should probably stick to the major arteries" Rebekah argus then slices over the artery on his neck making blood drip all down his front and honestly it was satisfying to watch.

"Well...look what you caught" I turned surprised by his voice seeing Nik walk in and he immediately examined Bekah's handiwork. "If you're trying to bleed him of vervain, don't you think it would be easier to hang him upside down?"

"I'm perfectly capable of inflicting pain, thank you very much" Bekah argued making me smile.

"Oh well excuse me, it's not like I have any expertise in the matter" Nik shoots back rolling his eyes.

"You know, why don't you just leave me be and go and manage your witch?" Nik smirks at her before he leaves and Bekah turns back to Damon. "Mm, now where were we?" I decided to leave her be and followed Nik as he went into the parlor.

"Tick Tock, I should hear chanting by now" Nik said as we walked in and I saw the Bennett witch sitting with his mother's grimoire.

"I'm still studying the unlinking spell, it's not that easy especially under duress" she protested.

"You've been warned, if you're looking for a way to send for help I will k1ll anyone who comes to your rescue"

"This is the spell, I just don't know if I'm strong enough" she argued and I rolled my eyes since she was strong enough to try and kill Nik then she was strong enough for this.

"Then you should have a little more faith in yourself Bonnie, your energy helped my mother link us, honestly I think someone isn't trying very hard" he argued back but she remained silent and glared at him. "Very well..." he turns to me. "Sophia, give him a call will you my love" I smirked knowing who he meant and pulled my phone out while looking at Bonnie.

"Kol, how's the weather up there in mile high city?" I asked as soon as he answers.

"Boring, wish you were here darling" he replied and I smirked.

"And how's our friend?"

"Just as dull as his sister"

"May I see him" I smirked at Bonnie before pulling the phone away and showed her the screen. "There's Jeremy, playing fetch with his new puppy" I smirked at her face as she looked at the screen knowing what it meant.

"Isn't that just the most adorable thing you've ever seen?" Nik adds smiling on her other side as I put the phone back to my ear.

"Thank you, Kol we'll be in touch"

"Looking forward to it Soph" he replied before I hung up still smirking at the look on Bonnie's face.

"So Bonnie, how about that spell?" Nik asked her and she frowned coming to the conclusion that she had no choice.

"I'll leave you with this my lover, I have something to do" I smirked leaving the room listening in on Rebekah and Damon all through that I knew he was vervain-free and I walked into the room to see Rebekah was gone for the time being and right now I was looking for some revenge.

I stood in the corner of the room out of sight from Damon but I could see him, his head was lowered and he was weak, I knew this because the moment I started probing his mind I immediately got inside his head and I decided to show him the worst yet best day of my entire existence to show just how much he'd hurt me.

FLASHBACK – 1864

I headed towards the gardens seeing Damon near a very old tree that was in our backyard and watched him watch Katherine who was playing croquet with our father acting like the perfect lady she was pretending to be so I headed over since I had to tell him, I'd kept it in long enough and I had to protect him.

"Damon" he looked over at me in shock since for the past few weeks since the founders ball I'd been ignoring him and Stefan because they were always with Katherine that and I had thrown myself into finding a way to get rid of her and with Emily's help I'd gotten a message to Klaus telling him where she was. "I have to talk to you" I whispered and his eyes furrowed.

"So talk little sister" he replied but I looked over at Katherine.

"Not here, the quarry half an hour" I told him before I turned and left gathering every piece of evidence I'd collected and put together on Katherine in order to make him see, make him believe me than I headed to the quarry seeing the old shack and went inside to wait for him.

An hour went by but Damon still hadn't shown up and it was starting to get dark, tears were falling down my eyes since I knew he wasn't coming, I just knew that he wasn't since I couldn't feel him, our twin sense was just...distant and so I stood up ready to head home when I heard a voice.

"Hello love" I jumped with a scream spinning around to see a man standing behind me.

"Who...who are you?" I asked since I hadn't even heard him approach and there was dead leaves all over the floor so no one could have been that quiet.

"Forgive me love but I believe you summoned me" he smirked and I took him in, tall, broad shoulders, short curly dark blonde hair and the bluest eyes I'd ever seen.

"Your...Klaus" I asked eyes widening and his smirk grew as he walked towards me and I stepped back since I knew who he was and what he was.

"You don't have to be afraid of me love, I won't hurt you"

"You're a vampire" I spat since they were all murderers.

"That's true but you've done me a great favor by revealing where Katerina has been hiding and for that I'm grateful" my eyes widened since he was actually here for Katherine.

"You...you can get rid of her?" I asked and he nodded his head before he suddenly walked towards me and slowly began circling me.

"What's she done to inspire you to seek the world's scariest creature"

"She's ruined my family, I just want to protect my brothers" I replied my eyes never leaving him waiting for whatever it was he was doing.

"That's quite noble of you-"

"Sophia" I decided to give him my name.

"Sophia" he repeated, a small smile on his face as he said my name and I couldn't help love the way it sounded on his tongue, he definitely wasn't from around here and he had an accent that which I couldn't place. "Well I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again Sophia" I turned around confused but he was gone and my eyes widened since that was weird...did I imagine him, have I gone bloody mad.

I shook off the weird interaction as I started heading home since the sun was nearly completely set and if I wasn't back and father found out I'd been out at night he'd surely punish me but as I was walking along the road I heard a commotion up ahead with yelling and horse hooves so I picked up my pace to see what was going on coming up to a wagon and frowned when I saw my brothers pulling a girl...Katherine out of the wagon looking like they were untying her and I glared at the scene, they were helping her but then a gunshot went off and I watched Damon fall back.

"DAMON!" I yelled looking around seeing a man standing in the shadows gun raised pointing at my brothers. "Stefan!" I warned but it was too late and another shot went off and I watched my little brother drop before the Lockwood's, Forbes men rushed over and returned Katherine to the wagon while I sank to the floor covering my mouth in shock and my heart exploded in grief feeling the connection Damon and I had slowly fading from me...I was feeling him slip away and I knew I could do nothing but watch.

"Sophia" my head snapped up to meet the eyes off my father and I saw the gun in his hand, my mind instantly connecting the dots.

"You shot them!" I yelled standing up.

"I had to, they were monsters" he argued.

"They were your sons, my brothers and all they did was fall in love with the wrong woman!" I yelled at him but he ignored me and suddenly threw water into my face while I glared at him since what the hell was that for, I watched him frown before he left me following the other men with the wagon just leaving his sons on the road and the moment he was gone I ran towards them falling to my knees next to Damon. "Damon?" I cupped his cheeks and turned his face towards me seeing his blue eyes wide open. "Damon please don't leave me" I begged letting my head fall to his chest before I screamed out letting out every bit of grief.

I laid beside my twin not feeling the connection between us anymore, my tears soaking through his waistcoat but had long since dried up and after a while I felt numb, numb to everything since without my brothers what was the point, what did I have to live for and all this was because of Katherine.

The thought sparked a new feeling inside me...anger and I stood up looking down at my twin for the last time before I ran down the road towards the way the wagon had gone following it until I saw the burning church in which the founders at clearly set with the vampires inside but out of the corner of my eye I recognized a familiar figure moving at blink speed away from the church with George Lockwood following her so I did too picking up the end of my dress to be quicker but I wasn't fast enough and the two vanished from sight.

"Damnit!" I yelled out.

"Such horrible manners for a lady" I spun seeing George behind me but before I knew what was happening I felt myself get slammed against a tree, a hand wrapped around my throat and I choked eyes going wide when I saw Katherine. "I did have plans for you Sophia but you know our secrets and neither of us can let you run to the council" I glared at him.

"You don't know how long I've waited to kill you Sophia" Katherine smirked letting go a little so that I was able to get breaths in. "You've been such an annoying torn in my side which is why I'm going to enjoy killing you and because I've had to wait I'm going to make it slow and painful"

"What-" my question was cut off when I felt the pain of something pierce through my stomach forcing me to let out a scream as she let me go and I fell seeing a wood branch sticking out of my stomach, I reached and pulled it out eyes going wide with the amount of blood pouring from the wound so I immediately put pressure but neither of them let me go and for what seemed like hours they both took turns stabbing me until I wanted nothing but the pain to end...to just die in order to be with my brothers again and they clearly sensed the will to live leave my body.

"I think she's done, let's leave her here to bleed out" George said and I didn't even have the strength to say anything as I felt the blood around me growing larger by the seconds.

"The animals can finish her off" Katherine replied before she knelt down beside my head and brushed my hair out of my face. "Goodbye Sophia" she smirked down at me before the next thing I knew they were both gone and I was lying in a pool of my own blood.

My vision and concept of time began to fade in and out as I battled to stay awake since perhaps if I just stayed awake than someone from town would find me and I could get revenge but as my blurry vision got weakier I knew that was impossible as I was too deep in the forest out here and no one was going to find me and to be honest I don't even know if I want to be found since I can be with Damon again if I just give in and that's all my body was begging me to do so I closed my eyes and just let the pain slip away flexing my fingers in my own blood feeling it growing around me.

"Sophia?" my eyes opened seeing a face above me but I couldn't make out who it was. "Love can you hear me?" they asked meaning I clearly missed something.

"I just want to die" I replied, my voice hoarse.

"I can let that happen if you really want or I can offer you the beauty of eternity, a life full of wonder and pleasure" they replied and I found myself drawn to their words.

"Revenge?" I asked slowly, my fading thoughts was making it hard to speak and form sentences. "Katherine"

"Yes love, I promise you that you'll have revenge if you so desire just say yes and I'll give it all to you" I tried my best to smile even just slightly as my eyes were starting to fade around the edges and I knew I didn't have long left so...

"Yes" I breathed out, my voice barely audible to even myself that I was worried they didn't hear me but the next thing I knew something was pressed against my mouth and liquid was dripping down my throat tasting gross and metallic but I drank anyway.

"An eternity awaits you love" I heard before...nothing.

I pulled myself out of the memory which let Damon free and I heard his groan as he realized his head had been messed with because his eyes lifted up and locked on me by the door as I frowned leaning against it.

"Soph-"

"Now you know my pain Damon" I spat cutting him off before he could say anything. "You saw the pain I went through over watching you chose Katherine over your own twin, you saw my pain when I watched you die and you saw what Katherine and George did to me, Niklaus saved me when you didn't" I added before I turned and left seeing Rebekah heading back in for more torture while I headed for the kitchen grabbing my licorice and started munching on it to avoid the emotions I was feeling from reliving that day through showing Damon.

An hour went past and there was still no chanting coming from the other room and I was growing tired of all the waiting and worrying, I had poured myself a bourbon to take away some of the worry for now while I mindlessly played games on my phone to distract myself as well as for entertainment since all this waiting was also boring but I looked up when I heard Damon's scream.

"What was that?" I heard the little teenage witch ask as I huffed standing up and headed into the room where she and Nik were.

"I wouldn't let it bother you, love" Nik told her.

"Well it does bother me, you bother me" Bonnie protested and I sniggered a little when Nik held a hand over his heart faking hurt. "The way you use people to get what you want, it's not right"

"You're being emotional Bonnie, I understand that things have been rough for you, you know with your mother leaving...again it's very sad" he pushed off the wall and walked towards her. "I can help you find her if you want, I have people who can find people I could bring her back to you or if you choose, I can just bring parts of her back" Nik threatened and her eyes widened making me scoff that she was still surprised that we weren't serious about killing those close to her in order to get this unlink done.

"Isn't it obvious that we're just going to continue to hurt the people you love until you do the spell" I added and watched her turn her eyes towards me. "Now, we know it's in the grimoire and that it requires the blood of his siblings, so..." I turned to Nik and he smirked and grabbed a case off a table and opens it showing her the 4 flasks of blood.

"Here we are, Elijah, Rebekah, Kol, Finn" he pointed to each one before he bit into his wrist and lets the blood poor "Where do you want us?" he asks her and she frowns before turning to the table and picks up a glass holding it out letting Nik's blood drain into it.

She added the others blood into the glass and started chanting while she poured the mixed blood onto the table still chanting away and the blood started moving separating into five different drops of blood as the fire's around us flared up before flaring down and I took that as the spell was done to which the witch looked truly torn up about doing it and she quickly gathered her things for us to walk her out.

"Oh leaving so soon?" Bekah said coming out of the ball room wiping blood off her hands.

"Sister be nice"

"Thank you Bonnie" Bekah said after Nik's words and I laughed a little. "See you in Physics class" she added stepping out of the doorway and Bonnie's eyes widened when she saw Damon still hanging there.

"Oh my god"

"Yeah you'll have to excuse the mess, apparently Damon hurt her feelings" Nik told her loving the look of fear on her face.

"Bonnie" Damon said weakly lifting his head.

"Go on, help him" Nik said looking at Bonnie. "Save the man who turned your mother into a vampire" Bonnie looked back and forth between Damon and Nik.

"Just get me out of here" Bonnie finally said.

"Very well" Nik smirked and walked her to the door as I looked back at Damon.

"Soph" I heard him whisper and I frowned looking back at where Rebekah had disappeared before looking back at Damon seeing he was still watching me but before I even thought about helping him Nik came back smiling and I turned away from my brothers helpless look fighting back my conflicting thoughts.

"So what now?" I asked as we headed into the parlor room sitting down on one of the couches and I immediately placed my feet in his lap with his hand running lines up and down them.

"My mother's next" he replied and I looked up with a deep frown since while I knew with Esther still out there they were all still in danger I wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea.

"Is that even a good idea, we don't even know where she is or what she's been up to" I argued with a frown since I frankly didn't want anything to do with his mother.

"Exactly, I can't allow her time to find a new way to kill us" he replied and my frown deepened as I looked down but he pulled my legs so I was forced closer to him before he grabbed the back of my knees and pulled me to straddle either side of his knees. "It'll be fine, I swear to you" I smiled at his level of assurance.

"You never get tired of being so sure of yourself, do you?" I asked smirking out of the corner of my lips before I leant forward to kiss him.

"Klaus!" Stefan called out making me freeze with my lips an inch away from Nik's before I let out a sigh since that was a mood killer, we got up begrudgingly and started heading towards his voice. "I'm here, let's do this"

"Oh good, a hero" Nik announced as we walked into the ball room seeing him standing in front of Damon still chained up.

"What do you want?" I asked glaring at him for the interruption and his response was to throw a bag on the floor.

"I'm here to make a deal" he stated as if that explained the bag.

"Stefan, what are you doing?" Damon asked him, his voice laced with pain and exhaustion.

"Eight stakes, made of white oak" Stefan ignored him and my eyes widened a little as he turned to Rebekah. "The part of Wickery Bridge that you forgot to burn" Nik and I both turn to look at Rebekah.

"That's impossible" she protested.

"Actually, it's not" Stefan argued looking at her for a couple of more seconds before he turns towards Nik. "Finn's dead" he informed us and my eyes widened.

"You killed my brother?" Rebekah asked anger lacing her voice.

"Damon in exchange for the last eight weapons that could kill you"

"And how do we know there aren't any more left?" Nik asked him.

"Because there aren't" Stefan replied and I huffed since as if we could believe him.

"Let's be certain, shall we?" Nik insisted and headed towards Damon. "Leave"

"No" Damon sneered at him.

"Go on, leave"

"Nik, he's my play thing not yours" Rebekah whines but Nik ignores her and grabs Damon around the neck strangling him as he forces Damon's eyes onto him.

"I said...go...home" Nik compels him and Damon immediately tries to free himself by tearing his hands from the traps and I couldn't help flinch a little as I heard the flesh of his wrist tearing apart in his attempt to get out along with his screams. "All right, stop, stop, stop before you hurt yourself" Nik laughed getting him to stop. "I can see that you can finally be compelled, now..." he gets closer again. "Minus the stake that's in my brother, how many more stakes are out there that can kill me?"

"Eleven" Damon replied not having a choice but to answer and I saw Stefan sigh clearly his plan to hide a couple stakes backfired.

"Eleven really?" Nik said turning to face Stefan. "So not eight, then"

"You really shouldn't have lied" Rebekah added.

"I'll get you the other three" Stefan replied.

"Yeah, that would be nice or since you lied maybe I'll just compel your brother to chew out his own tongue"

"What is wrong with you?" Stefan growled at Nik.

"What is wrong with you?!" Nik yelled back at him. "Do you really have no appreciation for me, I have given you someone to hate, to loathe, a target for all of your anger so you don't have to turn it on yourself, I have given your life a purpose as your friend" I frowned shaking my head at Nik. "I really think you should be thanking me" Nik added and I saw Stefan's face and knew what he was gonna do before he did and I moved meeting him instead as he'd rushed at Nik only to get me instead and I felt my back hit the wall as I stared down a white oak stake pressed against my chest.

"Sophia" Stefan breathed out, his eyes going wide before Nik had sped up behind him and grabbed his arm.

"Step down or you'll both die" Nik warned him and Stefan relented allowing Nik to take the stake from him as Stefan let me go and I glared at him "There, now you'll only have to get me the other two"

"This is ridiculous" Rebekah rolled her eyes and walked towards Damon and ripped his arms free from the bear traps.

"What are you doing?" Nik asked her.

"I brought him here I get to release him, my rules now" she argued before turning to Stefan. "Bring us the stakes and you both live, take your brother as a sign of good faith" she picks up the bag and leaves the room.

"Bring us the stakes, all of them or I'll wage a war against everyone you love, I hope I'm being clear" Nik added before he placed a hand on my arm and led me out of the room leaving them to see themselves out and the moment we were in the parlor room he pushed me up against the nearest wall. "What was that?"

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"He could have killed you!" he exclaimed grabbing my upper arms and shook me a little.

"He would have killed you" I argued pushing back on his chest a little before I put my hands on his shoulders. "I've always meant what I say Nik, I cannot live without you"

"Your never allowed to do anything like that again, do you hear me?"

"I can't promise that Nik" I argued and he glared at me.

"You can and you will Sophia, if I lost you than I'd truly be alone"

"I'd gladly give up my life for yours Nik, you have a family but aside for you I have nothing in this world and wouldn't want to live, I've told you this I don't know how many times and you refuse to accept it"

"You are the most infuriating woman I have ever met" he growled out and I laughed a little.

"Don't pretend you don't love that about me Nik"

"I have mixed feelings about the trait" he sighed before cupping my cheeks and pressing a kiss to my forehead before pulling me into his arms and I laid my head against his chest smiling to myself.

"I can't believe Finn is dead" Rebekah suddenly said as she walked into the parlor room where Nik and I were, we pulled apart to look at her.

"Good riddance" Nik replied making me look up at him. "He was an embarrassment Rebekah"

"He was still your brother, mind your tongue" Rebekah argued glaring back at him.

"Fine, let's say all prayer for Finn who slept in a box longer than he lived as a man, he was a lovesick fool, he's better off in death" Nik stated and I frowned moving away to one of the couches and sat down since this really didn't involve me so I stayed silent because I didn't know Finn so I really could care less about his death.

"Is that how you'd speak of me if I died?" Bekah asked him walking up beside him.

"Well you let the Salvatore's loose with two stakes than can kill us so I guess we'll find out soon enough and since when do you have a soft spot for them?" Nik shot back at her.

"The Salvatore's might fight like dogs but in the end they would die for each other" Rebekah replied and when I looked up I saw her eyes were on me. "At least they know what family means…you destroyed ours" she added and I frowned avoiding looking at either of them.

"I wanted a family, they just didn't want me and now we're unlinked we're no longer responsible for each other" Nik replied and I looked up at his words wondering what he meant by that.

"So are you leaving?" Rebekah asked him.

"Soon as I get my stakes, Sophia and I are gone" I looked up for once having mixed feelings about leaving town right now. "I'm gonna take Elena and use her blood to create a new family of hybrids" I definitely wasn't happy with that part.

"And if I choose to stay?" Rebekah pressed.

"Then you're just as pathetic as Finn" Nik replied before walking out of the room and I felt Rebekah's eyes on me as I watched him go before finally meeting her eyes but had no idea what to say.

"Do you really want to kept by the likes of that?" she shot at me.

"I'm not being kept by him" I argued defensively.

"You're better off with your brothers because if you choose to stay now you'll be signing a death warrant and he won't grieve your death" she stated before she too walked out of the room leaving me alone and I frowned shaking my head since I wouldn't believe that.
