Sophia's POV

The moment I heard his voice I rushed out of our room to the balcony looking down seeing him walk in finally after nearly an entire day of worrying and was relieved when I didn't see a speck of clothing out of place, nor any splatters of blood that would instantly tell whether he had actually hurt Rebekah.

"Is there a reason you lot are loitering in my home?" he asked the nightwalkers who all stood upon his arrival.

"I asked them to be here" I turned my heard towards the gate watching as Marcel walked in and couldn't help the small glare since he was partially to blame for this whole mess and he really felt like this was the time to press Nik even further. "You and I need to settle this out in the open"

"I thought you would've run off by now" Nik replied as he turned to face Marcel, the man he had once trusted and practically treated like a son.

"Yeah well this is my town, you may want me to beg forgiveness but I'm not sorry, I may not be able to beat you but I came here to face you, to end this in front of my people if your gonna kill me for that, get on with it" I clenched the railing restraining myself from acting out in anger knowing this was Nik's choice to make, his battle to fight and he surprised me by turning away and started up the stairs to the balcony so I moved to meet him at the top but before I got too far I heard the thud before I looked back down and saw Elijah in Marcel's place and Marcel on the ground from where he had obviously been thrown.

"Good evening" Elijah greeted looking around at the nightwalkers in his usual diplomatic styled voice that had me rolling my eyes. "I trust I need no introduction after all this was once my family home, tonight I'm taking it back, you're privileges here have been revoked, Marcellus out of respect for my sister I will grant you this one mercy I will allow you to keep your life however you're hereby exiled if I so much as find a trace of you in the French Quarter it will not end well for you, do you understand?" I raised my eyes with a smirk as I watched Marcel seething with Elijah's words. "That is all, run along" he added and the nightwalkers all began to leave.

"Nicely done brother" Nik congratulated from the top of the stairs where he looked down at Elijah. "You're beginning to sound like me, I'm impressed" he added with a smirk before he turned and locked eyes with me before he walked towards me and I was suddenly over his shoulder with a short squeal of surprise.

"Nik!" I exclaimed trying to sit up but he held tight to my thighs as he walked back into our room closing the door with his foot before he put me down and before I even had the chance to get a word of scolding out his lips were pressing harshly against mine with his hands on either side of my face backing me up towards the bed. "Nik just stop, slow down for a minute please and talk to me" I protested which took a lot of me to do since I wanted to get lost in him but I knew I couldn't, not yet.

"I don't want to talk love" he unzipped the skirt I was wearing and it dropped to pool at my feet.

"I just have to know, did you...is Rebekah-?"

"Dead?" he asked stopping in front of me and I nodded my head. "No but she is gone" he explained and my face fell a little with that knowledge but gone was better than dead since I wouldn't survive another member of my extended family dying, I was barely surviving Kol's which still hurt every day.

"Are you okay?" I asked cupping his cheek to get him to look me in the eyes which he hasn't done since he carried me in here. "Nik please?" he didn't reply but I saw the look in his eyes and recognized it because I had the same look after Kol died...he just needed a distraction and talking was for later so I leant up and pressed my lips to his. "Use me, my lover" I nodded permission at him but his face dropped even more.

"I will not use you Sophia, you are my wife not a side piece to be used...if you want this too only then shall we lay together" I smiled at the old fashioned term for sex...very Viking of Nik.

"I want all of you Nik, I'm done fighting with you...I just want you" I replied and those words were all it took for Nik to grab my upper thighs and lift me up to wrap my legs around his waist and carry me to our bed where we made love for what seemed like forever because it really was.

It is the passage of time that can heal all wounds but the greater the loss, the deeper the cut, the more difficult the process to become whole again. The pain may fade but the scars serve as a reminder of our suffering and make the bearer all the more resolved to never be wounded again.
So, time moves us along, we get lost in distractions. Act out in frustration, react with aggression by giving into our anger and all while we plot and plan as we wait to grow stronger and before we know it the times passes, we are healed and ready to begin anew...

"Here I thought I was the poet" I smirked at Nik from the couch where I laid in just a nightdress. "And spoken like a man whose made peace with his demons?" I asked being hopeful since it's been a month...a month since Rebekah left the city and Nik was still sulking.

"My demons are dead or chased off, my love" Nik replied fixing his shirt from our latest tryst in the sheets which we've been doing an awful lot of lately.

"I trust you can find our clothes Sophia" I peered over the back of the couch to see Elijah standing there with the usual disapproving stare of his whenever he caught Nik and I in the act or in the aftermath of the act which was a more common occurrence in the past month than in the past century.

"Of course Elijah" I smirked getting up giving Nik a sultry look as he smirked admiring my attire as I walked past him into the closet and got dressed while listening to them still.

"You do recall Rebekah is still gone forever" Elijah reminded us for what must be the thousandth time and as much as I hate the fact that Rebekah is gone, what she did was inexcusable and she deserves to be on her own which is exactly what she wants anyway.

"A desire which she apparently harbored for quite some time" Nik protested voicing my very thoughts as I slipped into a black dress and pulled on some heels

"Niklaus it has been a month!" Elijah yells as I walk back out. "Now I feel our sisters loss as deeply as you but you must stop distracting yourself, both of you" he added when he saw I had come back out and I rolled my eyes sitting back down in my previous spot. "With this ridiculous behavior and channel it into some kind of action"

"Why must I exactly?" Nik argued picking up one of his paintbrushes and dipped in aggressively in the paint before approaching the canvas he's been working on lately.

"Because of the course of Marcel's tenure the city grew accustomed to having a king, you wanted this throne now you must accept the responsibility that accompanies that" Elijah shot back and I frowned since he did have a point.

"Apologies but I'm rather ensconced in other pursuits"

"If you can so easily neglect your home I wonder what will become of your daughter" Elijah argued taking the paintbrush from Nik's hands turning to face us giving both Nik and I the same disapproving eyes that he had upon walking in here and I stood up narrowing my eyes at him for the mentioning our daughter since there's not a day that goes by where I don't think about Hayley out there in the bayou with those wolves and I went out there nearly every day to make sure she was okay so how dare he try and use our baby against us like that. "Have you forgotten what it was like to live beneath the threat of violence?" my eyes narrowed even more since I didn't forget which is why I was actually content to have Hayley as far away from the Quarter and the witches as possible because I knew they were up to something. "We must work together, lets make this city whole again"

"Perhaps it is too broken to mend" Nik argued before returning to his painting signaling the end of this conversation whether Elijah was finished or not and of course he wasn't.

"If neither of you will do anything, I will" he said before walking out leaving me once again alone with Nik but his reminder of the baby made me antsy to make sure Hayley was safe so I stood up which clearly caught the attention of Nik.

"Where are you going?"

"To the bayou, I'll be back shortly" he knew I checked on Hayley but he never asked about her wellbeing and although I knew he cared about our baby I couldn't help still be angry at his lack of real emotion towards the knowledge of her safety but I would tell him if something was wrong and I think he knew that which is why he didn't ask whenever I returned. "Be sure not to let in any witchy tramps will you" I reminded him since that Genevieve bitch was always sniffing around while I seemed to be out of the compound.

"The only one I'll share our bed with is you my love" he smirked towards me before pressing a quick kiss to my cheek then returned to his painting letting me leave our room to head out to the bayou.

I stopped just shy of the trees near the bayou shack in which Hayley was staying in seeing the pack of mutts were all surrounding a pair fighting all yelling and cheering the two on which was just strange but when I finally spotted Hayley I saw her standing next to that Jackson character making me frown as she was continuingly getting close to the guy which just unsettled me given the whole arranged marriage crap he spelled out to her at the party as it just brought back bad memories for me and I felt women deserved better especially in this century.

"Shouldn't you be out there with the rest of the frat boys?" I heard Hayley's voice reach my ears over the noise.

"Nah, that's just for pecking order" the werewolf she was speaking to replied smiling at the display of fists still going on with one of the wolves finally getting the upper hand over the other and knocking the loser down. "They already know who's the Alpha" I scoffed and rolled my eyes at that especially when I saw Hayley smile at him.

I knew this was everything Hayley had been looking for but I couldn't help resent the relationships she was building here and for the fact that it had dragged her from the Abattoir as this past month she's only gotten bigger as my baby grew inside her and my envy grew as I continued to miss the small milestones that should have been mine but I didn't have the heart to bring her back especially with how everything in the quarter was lately, she deserved to be out here where she was safe as it also meant my daughter was safe.

I was just about to leave once they'd all moved into a barn with the smell of food coming from it when I saw Hayley storming out with anger showing in her look so I started following her wondering what on earth she was so angry about but when I followed her to St. Anne's church watching her get out of her car and hearing the arguing that was going on inside I quickly understood.

"Hayley" I called before she went in there making her stop.

"What...are you following me?"

"Can you blame me, you understand the conflict going on in there don't you?" I scoffed and she frowned.

"Yes and the wolves weren't included" she retaliated making me raise an eye as I didn't see the issue there but I could see it from her point of view, they were a faction of the supernatural and so they should get a voice but that doesn't mean the people inside saw it her way

"...now returning to the issue of boundaries, you will all heed to the following-" I heard the ruckus inside immediately growing from the witches and vampires arguing.

"Are you serious?!" Hayley suddenly announces as she barges into the meeting so I follow her in with an amused smile watching them all come to silence. "You're dividing up the city and the werewolves don't even get a say?"

"What the hell is she doing here?" Diego shouts standing up and pointing at us and I raise my eye at him since he sure had a problem and a mouth that had a knack for speaking when it shouldn't.

"Diego, sit" Elijah told him eyes not even wandering in the vampires direction but Diego took heed of the instruction and sat down, it made me smile smugly towards Diego who glared right back. "We are not dividing the city, we're establishing boundaries-"

"No, Elijah!" Hayley yelled cutting Elijah off and I looked back at her shocked for a second before I turned back to face Elijah giving him an amused smirk when his eyes wandered over to question me obviously. "There is not gonna be a peace if the werewolves are excluded, they want a seat at the table" she added right as Diego and Genevieve both scoffed and I turned my glare onto Genevieve since I absolutely couldn't stand her. "And if they don't get one, I can guarantee that you will all regret it" I shrugged towards Elijah in agreeance with Hayley while the supposed other faction leaders all begin to argue again until Elijah calls them to a stop and tells them to leave for a postponement meeting leaving just me, Hayley and Elijah in the church.

"Do you have any idea what it took just to get those people in one room together!?" Elijah yells at us and I roll my eyes that he was even attempting peace with these people especially the witches .

"No actually I don't, because I didn't even know what you were doing out here until someone else told me" Hayley snapped back at him. "Tell me something Elijah, did you leave the werewolves out because of me?" she then asked him.

"I excluded them because they no longer reside in the French Quarter, my immediate concern is to end the mounting conflict here" Elijah argues. "Now, I can assure you once this treaty is solidified it will expand to include your people"

"And until then, she should tell them what...sit...stay...roll over?" I scoffed almost laughing at my own joke watching both Elijah and Hayley give me a look.

"I would prefer that you remove yourself from the process all together!" Elijah speaks towards Hayley before his eyes soften when he looks at Hayley realizing that he was rude. "Are you absolutely certain that you shouldn't return to the compound?" he suddenly asks her and I scoff rolling my eyes.

"You think the baby belongs there, you think that's where she'll be safe?" she asks him and the amusement fades from my body as I turn to stare at her.

"Is the bayou any better?" I asked letting my bitterness get the better of me and she turns to look at me before looking back towards Elijah.

"The wolves deserve a voice, give them one" she told him while I glared taking a step back rolling my eyes as I started to walk out. "You know it's the right thing to do" I hear Hayley add before her footsteps are following me out.

"Remember whose baby that is Hayley Marshall" I snapped before storming off leaving her to go back to the bayou while I returned to the compound.

I walked in seeing Nik still going at his painting which just furthered my anger by his clear lack of care but my mind was more focused on the anger at what Hayley had said like she had any say to my child's future and so of course that aggravated my envy so instead of acting rational I let it get the better of me and when Nik turned hearing me I grabbed him and pushed him back into the wall just wanting a distraction and of course Nik didn't protest.

After an unhealthy round of sex Nik had immediately gone back to his painting clearly using his art as his own distraction while I laid in our bed completely still unsatisfied, not by the sex as that never tired with Niklaus but I was unsatisfied over the fact that no matter how many times Nik and I have had sex I couldn't seem to replicate the miracle that had been the baby that is inside Hayley.

"Why the long face love?" I looked down past me to see Nik not looking at me but it was his voice that had spoken up.

"Nothing important" I scoffed sitting up and moved to the end of the bed to sit as I grabbed a robe to cover up.

"That sentence is never true with you" Nik scoffed making me roll my eyes since now he chose to actually notice when something was actually bothering me.

"I'm fine"

"As is that" he dropped his paintbrush and finally turned towards me. "Do you want to talk my love?"

"Not really" I stood up going over to the drink tray and poured myself a scotch. "Although I reckon you should've seen Elijah's face when Hayley walked in" I laughed hoping to distract him from continuing to ask.

"Crescent curse is broken then?" Nik asked going back to his painting clearly seeing that I wasn't going to talk and I raised my eye for the fact he finally asked something about Hayley.

"Yeah it is" I replied walking up behind him and put my arms around his waist leaning my chin on his shoulder. "Do you believe this will actually work, that we can actually have some semblance of peace in this city again?" I asked him.

"I saw the light from the courtyard and took a chance that-" Cami cut herself off as she barged into the room stopping short upon seeing me in just a robe and Nik was shirtless. "That you two weren't half naked, seems I gambled and lost"

"10 minutes ago we were fully naked so I'd say you won a little there Cami" I laughed sharing a smile with Nik.

"I assume you're not here to question us on our leisure activities" Nik added walking over to the liquor tray and poured himself a drink.

"I'm here about my Uncle, he's...deteriorating, the pills, the meditation they're not working" Cami explained her presence and I frowned since I'd heard about her Uncle and the fact that Bastianna had put a curse on him that was killing him painfully and slowly by sending him insane just like Cami's twin brother. "His lucidity's shrinking by the day, a witch did this a witch can undo it"

"And how do you suppose we persuade a witch to help" I scoffed at her.

"It won't do any good, these hexes start with magic but as they take root they alter the very chemistry of the brain" Nik explained to her.

"We're sorry Cami, the damage is done" I sympathized for her.

"I refuse to accept that and you would too if you had any concept of real family" she spat before walking out and I frowned knowing she was speaking out in anger but that was just uncalled for since it wasn't like we put that curse on Father Kieran.

After Cami left I decided that time was against us and Hayley would be close to delivering in less than a couple months and we had zero stuff prepared so I had sat down on the couch next to Nik with my computer and was searching for the basic stuff we still had yet to attain for the arrival of a newborn and the list was growing by the minutes.

"Not a fan of Cerulean Blue?" I heard Nik ask which got my attention since so far we'd been distracted by our own tasks and it made me look up from my computer to see Elijah was back and I rolled my eyes for the evitable noble speech we were about to hear again for the thousandths time today.

"Not a fan of your continued indifference" Elijah stated.

"Well it's difficult trying to unite a community that has a history of mutual loathing-"

"Spare me the platitudes Niklaus" Elijah scoffed cutting Nik off.

"A perspective then, if you want peace you must begin with the werewolves" Nik replied and finally had my attention with the word 'werewolves'. "100 years ago they had a run at ruling this city, as of late all they've had is time to watch their enemies tear down that legacy"

"All the more reason why their enemies are reluctant to bring them to the table" Elijah replied and I scoffed as I remembered the arguing that erupted when Hayley and I interrupted that stupid meeting he had organized.

"Take a page from Bienville brother, if the tables the obstacle remove it" Nik suggested and I raised an eyebrow at him since I doubted even that would work given these people couldn't be civil towards the other factions. "Do you recall in 1720 the Governor's desperation to secure our help to build the cities first levees" I sat up straighter placing my laptop on the table but intrigued with this seeing as it was a time when I wasn't around. "We sat with him and refused his offer and so he plied us with wine, with corseted women and with raucous camaraderie until he had his yes"

"Are you suggesting that I throw a party?" Elijah asked the obvious question to which Nik smirked at and sipped his drink which was his answer and so Elijah left the room to clearly begin the planning.

"Corseted women?" I questioned standing up letting the robe around body fall open. "How did you like those women Mr Mikaelson?" I approached him and placed a hand on his arm.

"They were delicious is all I can remember about them" he replied pushing the robe off my shoulders. "I only ever fell in love with one woman in a corset, she's a raven haired beauty with blue eyes which rival the vastest clear blue skies and to this day she still captivates my very soul which is why in 1910 I married her and made her Mrs Sophia Mikaelson"

"And don't you ever forget it Mr Mikaelson" I smirked pulling his head back a little by his hair hearing him growl from the allure of it hard before he smashed his lips against mine as he ripped the robe off my body as he flittered us back to the bed.

Later that night I found myself surrounded by strangers dancing to the earsplitting music of this generation in a black slitted dress showing my left leg with matching black stiletto heels walking amongst humans, vampires, witches and werewolves, all factions of this city under one roof, one might think it crazy but its been done before and I was reminded of that as I walked over to where Nik and Elijah was standing on the first landing of the stairs and Nik immediately handed me a flute of champagne making me smile as I took a sip.

"I'm impressed brother" Nik smirked at Elijah overlooking the party.

"Yes, now if I can just keep them from tearing one another to shreds"

"Well then for your sake, here's to a spectacularly boring evening" Nik complained stealing the champagne flute back from me and clinked glasses with Elijah before taking a drink from it then took my hand and led me away towards the bar grabbing another drink making me frown over the fact he seemed to be wanting to get drunk but my eyes soon drifted across the party seeing Hayley walk in wearing a black dress showing off her pregnancy bump which made my frown deepen at the sight.

"You alright love?" I heard Nik ask me suddenly making me look away from Hayley.

"Of course I am, why wouldn't I be" I bitterly replied and grabbed a drink off a passing waitresses tray and threw it down in one go then walked away in search of more having a feeling I was gonna need it tonight.

I roamed through the party watching as Elijah tries a delegate the peace and clearly keep the vampires from going after the werewolves despite many of them thinking they had a reason to as a lot of them have had families killed by the werewolves, it was hardly entertaining so I focused more on drowning myself in alcohol and that was the case until I spotted Niklaus on the second floor balcony looking like he was following that werewolf Hayley was getting along with so I put my drink down and started to follow him heading for his art room which is where the werewolf had disappeared into.

"I'm so glad you accepted my invitation" I frowned at Nik's words as I listened in.

"So is this where the great Klaus Mikaelson says something poignant and snaps my neck"

"I'm not here to kill you" Nik protested. "I'm here to offer you a gift"

"And what gift would that be, Niklaus" I cut in appearing behind him and he turned with a smirk clearly knowing I'd been listening.

"Out of the kindness of your vampire heart?" the werewolf asked, I couldn't remember his name right now nor did I really care when he made comments like that.

"Our hearts are more similar that you might realize" Nik argued stepping towards him. "You see long before I was evolved mine beat as a werewolf, I know your power, I know your burden, I'm here to take the latter away" I raised an eye at Nik with confusion wondering what the hell he was talking about.

"You wanna make me a hybrid?" I frowned since that was impossible, Elena was a vampire now and the only way to make hybrids was to use our babies blood which Nik would never do. "I put my pack first and I'm not gonna let anything compromise my family line especially becoming a some bloodthirsty vampire parasite"

"Say that again" I growled letting my eyes change as I hissed at him but Nik caught my arm.

"That pride, that sense of loyalty...well that's exactly why I haven't snapped your neck yet"

"Then what the hell do you want?" the werewolf demanded making my glare intensify.

"Only to give you back the city that was taken from you" Nik replied and I turned to frown at him since how the hell was he gonna do that. "How is that for poignant?"

"Why would I trust someone who's conspiring behind his own brothers back?" he asked actually having a valid point there.

"I'm not trying to undermine Elijah's venture, I'm supporting his vision" Nik argued walking over to his easel picking up a cloth and used it to wipe off something on the canvas he'd been focused on for the past couple days. "Vampires destroy life to survive, witches are only as powerful as their dead but the werewolves have thrived because their strength comes from family unity, the safety of that unity is what I want for my unborn child" I furrowed my brows as I sat down on the couch looking at Nik with slight admiration for all he was doing for our baby. "The painful truth is...vampires are the antithesis of unity" my face dropped at that especially when the werewolf looked over at me. "Aside from my wife of course" Nik quickly added seeing his look and probably mine.

"So what, after a thousand years your finally ready to embrace the other half of your family tree...maybe the other half doesn't want you" the werewolf argued and I once again glared at him while Nik just smirked.

"Oh they will once they return to the Quarter" Nik explained and I once again raised my eye again especially when he walked around the werewolf heading for his desk.

"You gotta a plan to back that up?" the werewolf demanded.

"My mother was a very powerful witch, I watched her craft all manner of magical items but her most prized possession was this ring" Nik replied opening a wooden box and rummaged through it and pulled out a small velvet pouch opening it and pulled out a ring holding up for view. "I hadn't seen it for a thousand years and then it turned up hanging around the neck of a werewolf, a direct descendant of my biological father I believe she gave him this ring as a way of freeing him"

"How so?"

"Daylight rings shield vampires from the sun, so why not a moonlight ring to protect werewolves from the curse" my eyes widened a little since that was his grand plan, to give the werewolves control over the curse. "Think about it...no more breaking bones, no more losing control to the beast within" he added and it definitely had the werewolf's attention.

"What do I have to do?" he asked and I frowned since I wasn't sure about this because once the werewolves had control over their shifting then what's stopping them from turning on us all, it only takes a single bite to wipe out the vampires after all and I wasn't sure Nik has really thought this through.

Nik's plan was an idea I'd give him that but I just wasn't so sure it was going to work out in the long run and when he was finished telling the werewolf exactly what he had to do in order from the wolves to get the rings he left leaving me alone with Nik who drank the last of his drink before turning to me.

"Everything alright luv?" he asked making me look up.

"I'm not sure about this Nik, I know you are doing what you can to protect our baby but-"

"Don't worry about it okay love, now we should be getting back" I let out a sigh as I stood and he came over wrapping his arms around my waist. "Did I mention how beautiful you look tonight"

"Not tonight, no" I smiled at him knowing he was trying to distract me. "Your not distracting me Mr Mikaelson"

"Of course not, I'm dancing with my wife" he smirked grabbing my hand and lead me out of the room onto the makeshift dancefloor and pulled me in as the music changed to a new song making me smile even more as I leaned in resting my chin on his shoulder seeing Elijah and Hayley dancing further back and her black dress highlighted her bump very blatantly making me frown. "Angel?" I stepped back so he could look me in the eyes then he looked over to where Elijah and Hayley were. "You look more beautiful tonight"

"That doesn't matter, she's the one glowing with pregnancy" I scoffed letting my bitterness come out.

"You know I'd do anything for you Angel"

"Of course I know that Nik but nothing can change what the witches did, that should've been me" I argued leaning my head on his shoulder again to cover up a single tear that slid out of my eye and rolled down my cheek.

"If you wish it so, I will do whatever it takes for you to experience everything you want Angel"

"You can't promise that Nik, you've heard what the witches say...it was a loophole, natures miracle and miracles don't happen twice because you and I aren't what people would call careful and it would have happened again by now if it was going to, so lets not talk about it okay" I pulled away and started heading towards the bar right when there was a crashing sound making me look over to see a food table smashed through from a fight between one of the wolves and Diego and they continued to go at it until Elijah intervened grabbing the wolf and slamming his head down on one of the tables.

"This ends now" I scoffed at Elijah since for the one advocating the trifecta species co-existing he was going about it wrong. "I won't ask again" he added when the werewolf continued to fight him.

"Oh we'll end it all right" the werewolf that had talked to Nik spoke up making Elijah look back and see he had a stake pointed at Diego's heart.

"What's stopping you?" Hayley cut in turning all eyes onto her standing on the stairs. "Kill him" she nodded at Elijah. "Go ahead Elijah do it, I mean its not like he doesn't deserve it"

"Shouldn't you intervene or something" I heard a female voice behind me and turned seeing a woman behind Nik who was suddenly behind me.

"Why would I, this party just got interesting" Nik replied making me roll my eyes but couldn't help smile a little.

"I mean it was Oliver who handed Rebekah over to the witches so they could torture her but then again wasn't it Diego who led a werewolf massacre last month, and the witches cursed the wolves while the humans stood back and let it all happen so when you think about it, everyone here deserves to die" I raised my eyes at Hayley since that was brazen.

"Are you approaching a point?" Elijah asks her.

"My point Elijah is this, if we can't all learn to get along, our families can't create some sort of community then what's the point, kill each other and get it over with" Hayley replied and it took a couple of seconds for her words to sink into the two men who slowly let up on their aggressive stances letting the two men go which thus ended the fighting and seemed to solidify the treaty and to note on that all the faction leaders decided to sign one when the party was over.

I headed up to Nik and I's room and got changed out of the dress showering to wash away the make-up on my face before I walked into Nik's study watching him from the doorway for a second as he studied his painting before picking up a paintbrush and began working on it again before I walked in a little further taking a seat on the love seat pulling out my journal in which I hid behind one of the cushions and began writing down my thoughts, lately I've just been needing to get out all my thoughts once again instead of letting them bottle up inside me.

"Sign it" Elijah suddenly spoke up laying down the parchment paper which had the treaty signatures on it. "Both of you if you would" he added looking at me making me raise an eye at him.

"Why, you've already done so on our behalf" Nik protested.

"Brother I am not a fool, it's clear to me you're not as disinterested as you'd like me to believe" Elijah argued then held up the ink pen. "Sign please, if there is no peace between us then how can you expect others to follow suit?"

"Fine, if it will make you happy" Nik stated taking the pen and dipped it into the small vial in which held the blood of all the factions and signed the parchment before he turned to me and I let out sigh as I stood and took the pen from him and signed my own name but stopped a little when it came to my last name as that was a conflicting issue lately, who was I really but Sophia...Salvatore-Mikaelson, I finally decided to write as that felt like my true identity seeing Nik smile a little as he watched before he turned to Elijah. "But, I assure you, this city's inhabitants will not adhere to this agreement" he added

"Well you are welcome to wager against me, you will lose" Elijah insisted before he left after a single look at Nik's painting which was of New Orleans skyline with a bright full moon on one side and I shared a look with Nik after he left before I got up and headed to bed since this day has been a lot.

A/N: Back from hiatus, I am sorry but life has just been getting in the way.
