Judy and Nick both sat in a peaceful corner of the farm, one that was overgrown and forgotten about. She stared blindly forwards not thinking about anything or anyone. It was as if her mind shut down after finding out the truth about the mammal she spoke to. She tried to speak multiple times but, everytime her jaw froze then dried up. She immediately regretted her decision everytime. Nick didn't move much either, only his tail swishing left and right.

She finally spoke up. "I completely lost it. I saw someone who wasn't there." Her head dropped as tears dripped down her chin. "I-I talked to someone who wasn't there." She turned to her side. "And now I'm talking to someone who can't talk back." She tried laughing to soften the blow to herself and ignore the tears going down her cheeks. "I can't be a cop anymore." She slammed her eyes shut and tried to quietly laugh it off. She got up and then yelled "Everything I did thrown out the window." As she finished yelling, she grabbed some dirt in her paw and threw it as hard as she could.

She barely heard it land somewhere. Although, the noise seemed to attract a different noise. A small kit peered through the grass. Judy jumped at this. "Cotton, what are you doing here?"

Cotton instead reacted by jumping back and falling onto her backside as she saw the fox resting.

Judy got up and ran over immediately. "Are you okay?" She lifted Cotton's head and cradled it. Nick quickly followed, making sure he was with Judy at a reasonable distance. Cotton flinched as she saw this happen. "Don't worry. He won't touch you." Nick heard that and kept a safe distance from Cotton, going behind Judy. "Besides, he's completely harmless." Judy leaned in and whispered. "I should tell you the time that I got him to jump into a toilet." Nick whimpered as he heard that. "I have better stories to tell." Cotton giggled at that and Nick whimpered a little more.

Cotton leaned over to see Nick just stay laying down on the floor. She then asked Judy, "Is he okay?"

Judy sighed then smiled at Cotton. "I don't know, I don't even know if there is a better for him anymore. But it doesn't matter, he's still my friend."

Cotton stood up and slowly walked to the canid. Cotton then slowly and gently stroked Nick's neck and back. Nick didn't physically react but made a satisfied noise from his mouth. Cotton noticed this then flinched, causing Nick to pull slightly back.

Judy sat in the back, letting it all play out and not intervening. She just smiled and watched.

Nick quickly shut his mouth then slowly closed the distance between him and the kit. Nick then gently hung his head on Cotton as if to initiate a hug with her. Cotton then reciprocated the hug and giggled. She then turned to Judy, who was smiling now. "He likes me."

"Yeah, he does." Judy responded, struggling to keep her cheeks from hurting at this point. She was beyond ecstatic. Nick looked at Judy for a second and was visibly happy as well. That was when Cotton released the fox and Nick dropped to the ground. Judy's smile then quickly turned to fear. "No. Don't." As Cotton started climbing on, Judy started to stand up with one of her paws out to try and stop the fox. "Noooo. Put, her, down." Cotton just giggled and held on tightly.

Nick then stretched, scaring Judy even more. He was clearly ready to sprint. "Yay, it will be fast." Nick then started jogging at what was half-speed for him but still faster than most bunnies could do. "Wheeeeeee." Cotton started calling out as she was laughing out loud. The two then reached a clearer area, where the dirt was softer and slightly wetter.

The mud splashed back as Nick ran through, covering both of them in mud. Judy followed as best as she could, horrified at what the result was. She sat on the side, knowing it was too late now. All she could do now was watch in horror, as someone still needed to watch the fox. She just mumbled to herself. "Nonononono, this can't have happened. I should've stopped it."

As if her prayers were answered, just then, Cotton's name was being called out. Judy sighed with relief until she thought about the mess the two of them were in. Nick stopped then looked at Judy, who was currently trying to piece her life together. He slowly crept towards her, then swiftly but gently nipped the collar of her shirt then dragged her into the muddy patch. "Noo!" was all that was heard before her entire body was covered in mud. She raised her head, just to see Nick leaning in and staring at her. She then saw the kit on top of him, laughing at her muddy visage.

She slowly lifted herself. "I'm gonna get you." She spoke with a playful malice. This caused a chase to ensue. Cotton laughed more as she watched Judy chase the two of them. Nick obviously gave Judy a chance to catch up by not going as fast as he could again. They jumped between crops and different bits of tall grass, making sure not to touch any of it, preserving it all. "YOU CAN'T GET AWAY FROM ME!" Judy called out dramatically, to which Cotton responded by blowing raspberries.

Judy used this moment to dig deep and speed up, burning more of her reserve energy. She was slowly gaining on the fox, who was close to the exit. At least that's what he thought. Judy looked ahead and noticed where they were. "Wait, stop Nick." She called out with genuine concern, knowing the area was littered with small and harmful bits and bobs, like thorns or branches. Nick kept going, quickly reacting at each obstacle, elegantly jumping between each branch. He reached the other side and heard that they weren't followed.

Judy stood shocked on the other side, where she then quickly exploded. "Nick! What is wrong with you? You could've gotten her hurt!" to which Nick just kind of looked down upset.

Before she could even continue, Cotton started chanting "Again! Again!" Judy just shook her head. This time Nick complied, noticing the commanding tone of disappointment. He laid down on the floor, letting the muddy kit get off and go on her own.

She walked over, around the dangers that were left out unkept. Cotton was about to speak up but was quickly silenced by the angry doe. "I don't want to hear a word from you, go you have been called." There was a second of silence before Judy just snapped "NOW!" Cotton complied defeatedly, going back slouched and her ears droopy. Judy then turned her ire towards the fox that was laying on the floor. "And you! I told you no. I know you heard me. That is an area you can't go to, what if one of the branches broke? What would happen then?" Nick covered his muzzle with his paws, trying to hide himself in embarrassment. "No, don't hide. Just like that, no blueberries today." Nick whimpered when he heard that. "Maybe you'll remember that way."

That was when a voice Judy didn't recognise called out from beyond the bushes. "Hey, can you keep it down? I really am trying to relax here." Judy wiped some of the mud off herself. "I mean, I don't want to intrude, is it okay?"

Judy then reached the edge of the farm, seeing a kangaroo on the other side. He quickly flinched when he saw the rabbit in front of him. "I'm sorry, but who are you?" She quickly cleared her throat. "What I mean is, I know a kangaroo didn't live here before." That was when she noticed a fox in the back dressed in a fully black suit with a sword in his paws sheathed. His fur was tan and, although they weren't visible due to the sunglasses, she knew they were being watched. "Why are you here?"

"I'm just here to relax, like I said before. Will you let me do that?" He then rolled his eyes then mumbled under his breath. "And Bellwether said this place was quiet."

Judy's ears shot up like rockets when that was said. On top of that, Nick started growling at the kangaroo. The fox in the back started to head towards the group. "What are you doing here?" Judy asked again, now fully suspicious of the kangaroo.

"I can't say because of safety reasons." He hissed back.

The fox then arrived and spoke with a thicker japawnese accent. "Please, go back to your home, we aren't trying to interrupt anything."

The kangaroo turned around and walked away. Judy quickly returned behind the hedge bushes and pulled out her phone, texting Finnick. "What do you know about Bellwether or a kangaroo in BunnyBurrow?" There were a couple seconds were the text was clearly read but there was no response.

"You don't want to know." was the only response that could be given.

"Yes I do." Judy audibly responded before typing it down and sending.

Then Finnick started typing. The typing went on for a short while, concerning Judy that something big was happening behind her back. That was when finally the text was finished and sent. "TL;DR, Bellwether is helping us from behind bars. We aren't happy either, but it was necessary. Kangaroo in BunnyBurrow is the Courier. I know, no known picture of him, can't prove it's him without anything big. He was about to be taken into custody, which would've killed him. I need you to stay quiet about this." Judy quickly read the text, understanding the situation, even if she didn't agree with it. Then the text was deleted, for obvious reasons. That was when another text was received. "When are you coming back?"

She responded shortpaw. "Idk when, have problems."

All she received after was "K". It took too long for him to reactively send that. Judy knew that all too well. She just commented to herself with a chuckle. "Still learning huh?" She pocketed her phone then walked over to the kangaroo. When she was close enough, she started to speak. "Hey, I know we didn't get off on the right foot, can we start over?"

"No, it's fine, I assure you."

She sat down next to him, choosing to sit on the floor, instead of a chair, due to her being still muddy. Her voice was subtle. "Listen, I know all about it. The raid, protection via Bellwether a-"

"SSHHH" The Courier quickly responded cutting her off. His demeanour was that of discomfort and annoyance. "Who told you?"

"A little friend." She responded, dismissing the importance.

"That damn raccoon." Judy just shook her head. "I'll find out."

"That's not the point. I just wanted to make sure that you won't cause any trouble while you stay here."

"Part of the contract, rabbit."

"Good. Good." Judy then stood up. "It was nice talking to you."

"Ditto." The Courier responded, overconfident in himself. "Goodbye."

Judy got back to her homeland and as she got hidden by the plantlife, she collapsed, barely being saved by the fox. Nick felt her heart beating at an extreme pace even for bunnies. Nick carried her unconscious body back to the warren.

Nick carefully walked back to the front door before hitting the front door with his head, as it was the only thing he could do. When that didn't work, he started scratching the front door, hoping someone will open it. Eventually, Samuel opened it, staring blankly at the fox. He quickly glanced at his sister. "I'm glad to see the drugs are working fully, even after all this time." He groaned then fully opened the door, letting the fox in. He then quickly pulled out his phone and called for an ambulance. Many kits moved out of the way, letting the fox bring the sleeping bunny back to her bed.

He reached the bedroom and put her down, carefully. He made sure she was completely comfortable. Bonnie and Stu then both barged into the room, scared for their child. Nick just sat next to her, resting his head on the bed Judy was laying on. The two went around, trying to avoid the fox, and Bonnie grabbed Judy's paw, quietly praying for her to be okay under her breath.

Nick didn't act, he didn't move, you could barely tell he was breathing at that moment. He was scared. He didn't even know what to do anymore. He just stared blankly, not even noticing anything around him.

After a few minutes, paramedics ran in, checking the doe's pulse. They were still cautious due to the fox next to them. That was when one of them turned to the mother. "What's with the fox?" Bonnie shrugged genuinely not knowing what was up. "Is it safe to proceed?"

Stu then spoke up. "That fox is just ann-"

"Trying to keep her safe Hon."Bonnie interrupted. Stuart sighed as he heard that.

"We need to transport her to the nearest hospital." The lead paramedic responded. "We can't take him with us."

"We can't promise he won't try and track her down, like he did before, multiple times."

"He needs to stay here, what is his relation though?"

"Police force partner, and whatever the nighthowler effects made him." The paramedic flinched as he heard that. "We discussed this with the previous paramedics."

"Panic attack?" The two rabbits nodded. The paramedic sighed. "We heard about the case, but didn't believe it, for obvious reasons." He turned to the other two. "We can bring her over."

Nick watched the two get lifted then whimpered. Samuel, who wasn't too far away, sat down next to the fox. "She'll be back soon, and she will be fine." Nick didn't move much, feeling it was futile to do anything. "Do you wanna hang out with me?" Samuel asked, watching Judy get carted away. Nick then turned to Sam and had a gently sniff, smelling something weird. He didn't focus on it too much.

Everyone left Judy's room, except Nick and Sam. Samuel watched Nick just curl up on Judy's bed. Samuel just left to grab a bowl of blueberries and some protein that was separately kept. He tried preparing the protein to be nice and hot, to try and create a friendly relationship with the fox. He slowly returned back to the room, making sure everything was set up right. "Hey, want some food?" Sam spoke quickly. Nick barely even reacted to the noise.

Sam crept up to the laying fox and placed the plate down. "You'll hafta eat eventually." Sam sighed. "Give me a chance. Someone needs to take care of you while Judy is absent." Nick just closed his eyes and rested. "Fine, but remember who gave you that plate." Sam quipped while keeping a straight face. He left and closed the door.

Nick then opened his eyes, stopping his pretend charade. He stared for a few seconds at the food then sniffed it, not trusting it. He then started tapping the blueberries, feeling as if one was messed with. He bit into every bit slowly and chewed on it carefully. There was nothing wrong with the meal he was given, although Nick was still uneasy with the food he ate. Just then, he bit into something hard., He coughed it out, then poked it about, unsure what it was. He played with it a bit, trying to see what it is to no avail.

Nick pushed the metallic thing to the floor then pushed it under the bed, hiding it from all that could be interested. Sam then quickly ran in the room, seeing the empty plate. "Oh no, did you eat it." Nick just shot his head up, uncertain about what was going on. Sam grabbed Nick by the shoulders and straightened him out, causing Nick to snap and bite around Sam's wrist although not clamping down. Sam then realised what was happening and let go, bringing his left paw back. Nick then just stared at Samuel while keeping the wrist in his jaw. "Please don't bite down. I really want to keep this paw." Nick then slowly let go of it then licked the slightly punctured injuries that were now present. Sam then dropped to his knees and sighed. "Oh thank everything, I get to keep it."

Samuel paused for a couple seconds. "Are we cool?" Nick stared at Sam for a couple seconds then nodded. "Heh, that's good to hear." Nick then jumped towards him and licked his cheek. Samuel then laughed at that. "That's good to know."

A/N:Finally! It took me way too long to do this chapter. I swear I should've done this so much earlier than now. Although I can't promise consistency since I have lectures and coursework to do.

It's not bombarding me yet, so there may still be hope.

Once again, I would like to say there is a poll for my other story on my profile, so please consider checking it out.

With all of that said and done, thank you all for reading and sticking with me, I really appreciate it. And of course, goodbye and have a good one.
