No-One But You (The Star Child's Eclipse)
Chapter 9: Sofia (Part 9)
…
"No uncle, this is where I felt it. Right here.."
…
Sofia Strange felt an odd energy on her way to the Brimstone Dimension a few chapters back, if you recall.
She studied it for only a moment, then she sped up her pace and caught up with her uncle Victor.
That little "Star Child" told him about it as soon as she could, and she even made Victor backtrack a bit so he could see what she was talking about.
The newest embodiment of the Sorcerer Supreme didn't mind, because snooping out peculiar energy was part of his job.
Her tiny hand was pointing toward some sort of symbol. It was carved into the ground, and hmm… Victor quickly took a picture of it, and he sent it off to both of his older siblings.
They had a group chat for stuff like that, so the baby Sorcerer Supreme patiently waited for a response.
…
"I don't like this energy at all Sofia, so… back up a bit."
…
It felt like Victor had seen the symbol before too, and he could sense a number of different energy patterns surrounding it.
Oh, and the majority of the energy had some mega mean Agamotto vibes connected to it… Whoa bro.
…
Clea's energy was there as well, and Donna's. Wait, and… possibly Thor's? Was Thor Odinson involved with this symbol for some reason too?
…
Victor began to recall something that happened to Stephen and his sister-in-law a long time ago, just before Sofia was "born."
The baby Strange was kept in the dark during that whole ordeal, so he had no idea what even happened…
Plus, he was off in la-la land trying to be in a "relationship" with Ezekiel Stane during that time as well, so it's safe to say Victor was officially distracted.
He knew some serious shit went down, and it affected Stephen and Clea to this day…
…
Sofia watched her uncle's expression change as soon as he received a message back, and the smallest "Strange" could tell that he received a message from her father…
The vibe became super serious, so it had to have been from him.
…
"This is where someone named Umar is buried. She's buried alive, right here, so don't touch anything…"
…
Ohhhhh, well now, it seemed Donna Strange was the one to answer the sudden distress call. Victor held a smirk for her as soon as his older sister made an unexpected appearance.
Umar? Sofia listened to what her auntie Donna said to the two of them, and her eyes continued to travel around the symbol on the ground.
The symbol was foreign. It wasn't written in Faltine or English, and Sofia was beyond fluent in both languages.
Perhaps it was a spell that was written by her other father, Agamotto. The baby Star Child thought about asking him all about it.
Agamotto wouldn't lie to her, or hide any details… and Sofia knew that because he didn't fear anything.
…
"How about… you two come hang out with me for a little while, and I'll tell you all about why someone is buried here."
…
There was a heavy emphasis on the words "a little while" when it came to Donna inviting her baby brother over, but Sofia could friggen live with her if she wanted to.
…
Oh, and Donna wasn't expecting any pushback about what she said either, so she simply formed a portal back to Brooklyn and expected Victor and Sofia to follow along…
