The days turned into weeks and the weeks turned into months. Harry was enjoying being able to lounge around and play video games or take care of the various magical animals they were raising. Basically it was just nice to be able to do what he wanted when he wanted without people complaining or people trying to kill him or even people looking at him with shock and awe because of his scar. Not that he still had the scar on his forehead anymore. While Ginny and Hermione often asked him to help them with a project they were working on he still had plenty of time to himself which was nice, or at least he did when his or Hermione's girls weren't showing him their latest high score in whatever video game of the week they were playing or showing how well they did on their latest assignment for school. In short he was having the time of his life which was why he was a bit nervous about the upcoming jump back in time. It felt weird to uproot his family again, he knew what the plan was... what Hermione, Ginny and him had wanted for the last couple of years but there was a certain amount of dread in finally getting to where he had been dreaming about for most of his life.

He was scared to talk to his mother while she was flesh and blood. He had talked to her a couple of times as a spirit but it wasn't the same. It felt a bit more like talking to a painting or something. She would answer questions but there wasn't that fire that there had been with Sirius's or Luna's shade... probably because they had known him. He wasn't sure if the stone actually contacted his mother's spirit or just a pale reflection but from his interactions he was guessing that it was nothing more than a pale imitation. Luna and Sirius had seemed their normal strange selves and Hermione's parents weren't all that strange but they were alive again rather than spirits. The end of the school year was fast approaching. His small army of house elves had gotten the manor mostly cleaned out. The ghost that was haunting the manor wasn't really a problem as she was a rather happy ghost. She had died of an allergic reaction to the medicine the doctors of the time had used to treat her pneumonia when she was in her late teens. It was strange to actually find a happy ghost because Moaning Mertle and Sir Nicholas weren't all that happy and they were the ghosts he knew the best even after all the years away from Hogwarts.

Harry sat on the porch of the cabin thinking about the work required to make the next jump. They would have to move everything to the manor, not the hardest part of the plan considering they had a small army of house elves to do most of the moving. The part that worried him was how many of their friends would go with them to the past. He wasn't sure how many of them would choose to stay behind and how many of them would come with. He was a bit worried about Hermione's parents but Hermione was ninety percent sure that dragging them back through time as statues then transfiguring them back would work so he was going to just hope for the best on that. He was trying not to get so stressed out that woke up screaming like Hermione had this morning. He looked up as Hermione walked out the cabin's front door, "Want to talk about it?"

Hermione sighed as he asked the question she had been expecting all morning, "Not really..." She really didn't want to say that her nightmare had involved cooking Thea and having her last words to her be, 'I hope I taste good.' She wondered if it was because she had a guilty conscience for cooking Narcissa and Kreacher up yesterday and feeding them to the cat elves and Black family or if it was just her subconscious playing tricks on her. She didn't think she felt particularly guilty about killing Narcissa but the dream had bothered her enough that she hadn't even wanted to think about breakfast.

Harry nodded, "If you have more problems we have some dreamless sleep potions around."

Hermione forced a smile, "That's fine, it's just a nightmare. If I have more of the nightmares then I'll see about taking some. How are we doing for moving everything over to the manor?"

Harry shrugged, "Not too bad, we'll be ready in a couple of days then we can go. Do we have enough dust?"

"More than enough in case you want to do some last minute raiding."

He had a list but hadn't wanted to make waves until right before they left. "I know a couple of people that should be taken out before we leave. How is operation Ginny snatch going?"

Hermione grinned, "We're working on it. Luna has been a big help with the project since she actually told the other Luna the truth."

Harry snickered, "Leave it to the Lovegoods to believe the impossible."

"True, Mr. Lovegood is onboard to come back with both Luna's. He'll go back mentally while the girls go back physically. Ginny is perfectly willing to run away if it means going with her hero. I blame Molly for that. It's more than a bit creepy."

"Just a bit." He wasn't going to complain if it meant that they could collect another Ginny.

"The twins think going back in time is a great joke, so yeah they're going."

Harry sighed, "Do you think my parents will be glad that we came?"

"I'm sure that they'll enjoy seeing what might have been and hey not dying is a plus..." Hermione joked, "If not, we can always go back further and kill Snape and your father before Hogwarts then seduce your mother..."

Harry made a gagging sound, "That's nasty."

Hermione laughed, "We should totally go back to before they're married then I might have a shot."

Harry sighed, "You're warped, so very warped. You already seduced your alternate and you have plans for Ginny's alternate, isn't that enough?"

"Yeah, probably." She grinned as she walked over and sat down next to him. "We still need to loot Harry's vault for him."

"True, it's getting so bad that we're going to have to build a vault under the manor if we want to keep all of the gold separate."

Hermione chuckled, "I'll talk to Bill about wards."

"That would be great."

Harry picked Rose up when she jumped at him. "Hey you."

Rose giggled as her father spun her around, "Wee..."

Harry junior rolled his eyes, "You're all crazy."

Hermione walked up carrying her trunk, "So how are we getting the army back?"

Harry laughed as he set Rose down, "Amelia got us permission to portkey back considering the number of people that we needed to transport." They probably would have used a portkey anyways but it was always nice to have support. She was going to miss having Amelia around when they jumped back through time again.

Rose groaned, "Great, I shouldn't have eaten the snacks on the train."

"Is Pansy with the rest?"

Hermione rolled her eyes, "Yeah, she was getting dressed when we left. She wanted to prove to Fay that she didn't have any modesty, she got a lot of tips."

Harry chuckled as he pulled out the rope the group was going to use as a portkey, "She can tell us all about it once we get to home."

Albus stared at the pedestal and the stone resting on top of it. "Interesting... but not how I left it..." It took him a couple of minutes of careful study to find that the stone was a fake. "Curious..." He muttered as it meant that he had to create another sorcerer's stone to replace the missing one.

Snape scowled, "I blame Potter."

Albus chuckled slightly, "So you're saying that a first year got through all of the defenses, swiped the stone, made a perfect copy of it and then transfigured a pedestal for the stone to rest on?"

Snape grumbled as he realized that admitting that gave Potter too much credit.

"I thought so..."

Hermione set up the wards on her parents' minds. "I'm fairly sure this will work..."

Dan sighed, "We don't have much choice..."

"I could try to turn you into a statue and then revive you after the jump..."

"Then there would be more of us. That wouldn't keep our family together."

Emma smiled at her daughter, "I trust you, we're jumping into our younger bodies as long as we remember who you and your sister are we'll survive."

Dan chuckled then said, "She's right, I mean I'd rather remember everything but I'll take what I can get."

Hermione frowned as she tried to remember what she was forgetting. She smiled brightly after she remembered something, "Luck... I've got a luck potion. If there was ever a time to use it. I'll grab it then I'll see what seems right." If she had a feeling that she was supposed to turn them into statues then she would. If she had a feeling that she didn't have to then she wouldn't. She didn't really like the luck potion because of the wishy-washy nature of it but it had saved her a couple times in her life so she was a believer.

Dan smiled, "That sounds like it should help with the odds..."

"Yes."

October 31st 1981

Harry smiled as Voldemort stalked up to his parents' house. It felt like he had been waiting days for the guy even though it had only been a couple of hours. They had arrived on the twenty sixth of October. They had frantically went to work trying to secure the deed to the manor as well as track down Voldemort's horcruxes. It had taken a lot more work than he had wanted to do but he had managed to destroy Voldemort's horcruxes within two days which was a personal best. The hardest to get this time had actually been the easiest last time. Getting to Slytherin's necklace hadn't been easy. It had required a lot of talking on Sirius's part, a number of sworn statements and some genuine pleading, mostly it had come down to explaining that Voldemort had personally killed Regulus over the necklace. In the end vengeance had trumped disapproval of Sirius. He was standing in front of the door to his parents' cabin as Voldemort approached. "Hello Tom."

Voldemort raised his wand as he stared at James Potter. The light wasn't good enough to see much of the man's face but he seemed to be smirking for some reason. "How dare you use that name."

Harry laughed as he raised his hand and ripped Voldemort's wand out of his hand with an overpowered and wandless levitation charm. "You're a fool Tom, you shouldn't have come."

Voldemort scowled as he tried to apparate but found he couldn't even move. "What did you do?"

Harry laughed, "I'm using magic to hold you in place. Try not to struggle too much, you might break something." It honestly didn't matter if Voldemort struggled physically against his magic or pushed his magic against Harry's magical might. He stepped back from the door as it opened to show James holding his wand looking out the door at Voldemort and him.

James was confused about who the unknown wizard holding a wand on Voldemort was. "What's going on?"

Voldemort shouted, "I'm going to kill you when I get free!"

Harry smiled at his father, "I was wondering if I could borrow a club of some type or if you don't have that then a knife would work. You might want to hurry I can't hold him forever." A couple of hours maybe but eventually he would get bored and slip up.

James knew that Sirius had mentioned that he was doubting the wards and would be sending someone over to help after he had Dumbledore check them over but he hadn't expected to have it be someone that looked like him. His mind was so jumbled from the crazy request that he didn't even think to take a pop shot at Voldemort before running back into the house and grabbing one of the beater's bats that was part of his Quidditch set. Not that he had gotten to play in months because of the need for secrecy.

Harry took the bat as James came back out, "Thanks. Now if you'll excuse me for a moment. I've been wanting to do this for years."

Voldemort said, "You think that's going to stop me?"

Harry didn't bother to answer as he stalked toward Voldemort and proceeded to beat him to death with a beater's bat while he used his magic to make sure that he couldn't escape.

James stared in fascination and a slight bit of horror as the largest threat to Britain was systematically and brutally broken. Watching Harry make sure that Riddle would never spawn was particularly painful.

Harry finally stopped after turning Voldemort's neck into paste with the bat. "I've been waiting to do that for more than twenty years..."

James stared at the young man in front of him, "How old are you and who are you?"

Harry shrugged, "My name is Harry James Potter, depending on how you look at it, I'm twenty nine, almost eighteen, almost twelve or fifteen months old more or less, maybe a bit less... it's good to finally meet you dad."

James winced, "I think I'm going to need a drink..."

Harry laughed, "You have no idea..."

Dumbledore stared at Tom Riddle's mangled dead body in shocked disbelief, "What happened?"

Alastor Moody frowned, "It looks like someone beat him to death with a stick. I've never seen hexes like this, no magical residue or anything."

James shrugged as he glanced at where Sirius and Harry were playing with a deck of cards. "Harry beat him to death with a beater's bat, it looked like he really enjoyed it."

Harry chuckled, "I did."

Dumbledore stared at Harry, "But how, the prophecy."

Harry glared at Dumbledore, "You put too much stock in prophecy, anyways it said that one would be born as the seventh month dies, blah, blah, marked as the chosen one and all that, with a power that the dark lord knows not, apparently Voldemort doesn't know how to travel in time... for the best really."

Sirius chuckled, "Yes, otherwise things wouldn't have gone as smoothly."

Dumbledore frowned then said, "Time can't be changed like that..."

Harry shrugged, "I guess you can just call me Mr. Impossible then. I'm willing to swear an oath on the fact that I am Harry James Potter and that my parents were James and Lily Potter. Honestly though I don't really care if you believe me or not. The fact of the matter is that Voldemort is dead and my parents aren't. I'm calling that mission completed." Harry had plans to bribe or talk the minister into offering him a full pardon for past crimes as a reward for killing Voldemort just in case anyone decided to try to prosecute him anyways.

Alastor scowled, "If that's true then you're guilty of a number of different crimes, time travel is restricted."

"Actually, only making or using time turners is restricted. I can also swear that I didn't use one of those to get here. Besides, you'd be laughed out of court Moody if you claimed that I was a time traveler."

Dumbledore frowned at James, "We're going to have to send people to investigate the scene."

James shrugged, "You're welcome to, I've already taken down the fidelius charm that was up. Just remember that the scene of the crime is outside, none of the aurors have permission to come into my house." James wasn't all that happy about having to drop the wards on the property for the investigation but it wasn't that big a deal as they had to reset them anyways thanks to Peter being a traitor. "Is there anything else? I've got things to discuss with Harry."

Albus looked at Harry, "I'm rather curious as well..."

Harry shrugged, "Stay or go it doesn't matter to me." He had no plans to give the headmaster more than a basic outline of what happened in the future he was from.

Sirius scowled, "Before we get into what I'm sure will be a thrilling story filled with half truths and evasions you might want to send a patrol after Peter before he pulls a runner."

James sighed, "I still have a hard time believing that he sold us down the river."

"Yeah, I'm not really happy about that either. Still, catching him would help prove Harry's claims."

Alastor sighed, "Can I use the floo to call this in?"

James gestured toward the fireplace, "Feel free."

Lily walked back in from the den thankful that she had finally gotten Harry to go back to sleep. She was a bit annoyed with Harry for waking up her Harry with Voldemort's screams of anguish. She was willing to forgive him though as he did get rid of Voldemort. "So... now what?"

Harry sighed, "Now comes a bunch of unbreakable vow crap to prove that I'm telling the truth..."

Sirius snickered, "I bet it will only take a few weeks to sort this out. We should call Remus and get him out here."

"I told Hermione to deal with the other mess, Remus is helping so even if straightening this mess out takes a while we should still be good."

Sirius chuckled as Albus gave Harry a look that tried to demand an explanation. "True..."

Lily glared at Sirius, "You're part of this aren't you?"

"Guilty as charged, I'll give you the expanded rundown later."

Albus sighed as he realized that the next couple of days were going to be trying, especially if people partied as much as he thought they would.

Lily smiled as she looked over the sea of redheads at Harry's new manor. It had taken a lot of oaths and magic demonstrations before she had completely believed that Harry was her time traveling son from a crazy future. More than the oaths it was the fact that Harry had a bunch of computers that blew away anything she had even heard about that convinced her that he was from the future. The scores of video games and movies helped as well. "So which ones are my grandchildren?"

Hermione snickered as she pointed the girls out, "I'm pleased to present Rose Potter, Raven Potter, Luna Potter or Loony depending on what she's doing and the youngest is Megan Potter. Say hello Megan."

Megan smiled brightly at Lily, "Hello."

Lily smiled, "They're cute."

Hermione chuckled, "They are. Rose Potter is mine and Harry's... the rest are Harry and Ginny's."

"I sense a story there..."

"Yeah, things happened during what should have been mine and Harry's seventh year, we had to go on the run..." She smiled at the girls, "But I'll tell you that story another time. Jessica and Thea are mine with Ginny's brother..."

"So where is he?"

"Thankfully dead."

Lily winced, "Bad breakup?"

"Yeah, he cheated on me for ten years. I broke up with him once I found out." She wasn't going to get into the whole mess that was Ronald Weasley right now. There was plenty of time to vent later.

"Ah..." She searched for another topic. "What about everyone else?"

"I've got a younger me running around. The younger Harry is from just after first year. We also brought a number of friends back with us. I'll introduce them as we run into them."

"So what happens to the other world when you change things here?"

Hermione shrugged, "I'm not completely sure, either they continue along without us or we destroy them when we change things."

"That's grim."

"I want to believe that since we didn't cease to exist that they're all still alive. I don't know that for sure because the process isn't an exact science."

Lily nodded, "I'm just glad to get the chance to see him all grown up, are you sticking around?"

"Yeah, we're here to stay as the process is one way only. We couldn't return if we wanted to."

Lily smiled slightly, "I'm actually glad." It was strange to suddenly get a bunch of new relatives but it was sort of nice as well. With her parents dead and her sister married to a horrible whale it was nice to know that she had family out there that would do the mostly impossible to save her from dying.

Hermione smiled, "See if you still believe that once we've talked you into babysitting."

"They can't be that bad."

"Thea can walk on walls and Jessica likes playing with fireballs."

Jessica pouted, "Hey, I haven't burned anything in months."

Lily raised an eyebrow, "Fireballs? Walking on walls?"

Thea giggled as she stepped onto the closest wall and walked up it. "It's fun."

Lily stared in surprise, "Is that common in the future?"

"Not really no, we've been playing with magic for a couple of years."

Lily grinned, "Now that I'd like to see."

Hermione didn't really see any problem with showing her some of the more humane experiments the family was running. After all Lily had been top of her class as well so she might have some interesting ideas. "I'd love to show you."

James glanced back toward the manor where Hermione was introducing Lily to the children. "So how many girlfriends do you have?" He had noticed the way Harry looked at Ginny and Hermione.

Harry chuckled, "Ginny and Hermione. They've got a couple of girlfriends each so we'll see how things work out. Hermione wants a couple more children..."

James looked at Sirius, "You're a bad influence..."

Sirius laughed, "Nah, I blame the girls for this."

Harry asked, "How much trouble do you think Dumbledore will cause over this whole mess?"

James frowned, "I'm not sure how much trouble he can cause, Voldemort is dead, his Death Eaters are going to prison, his attempts to keep Snape out of prison are doomed to failure as long as we can testify against him."

Harry chuckled then said, "Screwing Snape over is a plus, he was one of the worst teachers during my Hogwarts years, only outdone by Binns, Lockhart and maybe Quirrell, that reminds me, we should turn in the evidence we have on Lockhart as well."

Sirius chuckled, "That would be a good thing."

James asked, "Have you figured out what you're going to do for money?"

Harry snickered then said, "Don't tell Dumbledore but we have the stock information and the winning games and such things for the next thirty or so years, plus we've got tech that we can produce and sell. I think we'll be fine for money."

Sirius laughed, "That's not counting the tons of gold we acquired when we skipped back a couple of times."

James laughed, "In other words, you're saying you could buy the ministry."

Harry grinned, "Not that I would but pretty much. I have more than enough money to make sure that Snape ends up behind bars."

"I'm just glad that you warned us about Alice and Frank, that would have been a mess..."

Harry nodded, "It would have."

Hermione was relieved that they were doing as well as they were finding places for the people they had brought back. Her parents remembered most of their life so that was better than she had expected. She was trying to spend as much time with them as she could even though they were busy with work. It had been an adjustment to go back to having to work everyday to try to get their startup business off the ground. Most of the girls had decided to jump with them rather than stay without them. She was a bit surprised but guessed it made sense in a lot of ways. No one was completely sure that they wouldn't just fade out of existence if they didn't travel back with the group. There was also the fact that if they came back they would have access to the rituals that could make them stronger. She had never explained the rituals to keep people from duplicating her methods.

She was looking forward to watching Harry shag most of the girls that they brought back. He thought that Luna, Katie and Tonks would make cute children with Harry in a couple of years. Sure, the older Tonks was interested in Remus but the younger Tonks was closer to her and Harry's physical age right now. Given the fact that Remus didn't seem like the type to be able to land both of the Nymphadoras then that left the younger one open to her attempts to get her into bed with her and Harry. The youngest Nymphadora on the other hand was eight which meant that she might also be a viable playmate in a couple of years. She was just thankful that Ginny seemed to be channeling her mental issues into being a sex fiend rather than a cannibal which was for the best considering she didn't want to have to ever explain that part of her friend's life. She was having a hard enough time with the fact that she loved playing with her alternate self. She looked around at her dysfunctional extended family that were sprawled around the living room studying their class work and smiled. She was a bit annoyed that Dumbledore couldn't or wouldn't allow them to transfer in midway through the year but she could understand why it wasn't possible. They would just have to study hard and hit Hogwarts next year like a plague of locus. She was looking forward to seeing what life brought now that things were on the right track.
