Coming to, a flashing red light from the corner of my eye was flickering in my vision while making an obnoxious loud noise. Focusing on it more, it was an alert box warning me of… low energon? What was energon? And did this have anything to do with the pain in my stomach?

It was starting to cause a headache and all I wanted was for it to go. AWAY.

And it did.

It was like pressing the X on a pop up on your computer. No more flashing lights and loud noises, however, that didn't stop the sudden realisation that whatever that thing was, was not normal. I was human! Why was I getting computer pop ups as if I was one?

Panic started to seize my heart, I couldn't breathe but then realised I hadn't inhaled a single breath the entire time! All I wanted was to wake up from this bad dream and forget it ever happened. I opened my eyes and noticed how dark it was, everything was grey and a mess.

I needed to get out of here!

I tried to move but I couldn't, it was like my limbs were unresponsive yet I could just about move my head to get a better look. I was on my stomach and I was metal, every part of me was this grey metal. What was happening?!

My body started shaking and I started hyperventilating, scratching at my hands until they bled this blue and pink colour. The big metal slab above me started to creak and move ominously, it was going to fall on top of me. I had to get out!

I was able to wiggle my lower half but that just made things worse, the slab fell onto my left shoulder and cut into me. The pain was unlike anything I had ever felt before. I screamed but my voice cut out and my throat started to spark, a small bit of smoke blew away.

Tears started falling down my face in pain and desperation, my right hand scratching at the floor, I was forever stuck now and that warning returned. Saying my energon reserves were critical and that I would enter a 'stasis lockdown' in approximately a joor (6 hours).

It turns out that hyperventilating as this metal being was a bad thing, and while I didn't need to breathe, I do still need to circulate the air in my body through vents that are extremely hot and working overtime.

It was only moments later, I cried so much that I fell asleep, too tired and low on energy to stay awake any longer.

Multiple loud thumps not far from my location startled me awake, I didn't want to be found. I had accepted my death earlier, these could be bad people coming to hurt me further and with how vulnerable I currently am, I didn't want to risk it.

I trembled as my eyes flickered erratically. Fear and confusion clouded my mind, fragmented flashes of a past life haunting it— yelling, the sound of hits, and the sense of abandonment. My small body shook uncontrollably, head overwhelmed with terror. Every sound in the room felt like a threat. It echoed all around me.

A bunch of metal titans entered the room I was hidden in - first a blocky red, white, dark and light grey titan which had a white missile launcher attached to the back of its shoulder. The second robot was mostly white with a dark blue painting some of his limbs and some black appearing here and there. He had a white rifle in his hands and a black and white gun looking thing attached to its shoulder. A small set of wheels were located on its heels.

Not far behind was a white, light blue, dark and light grey robot which had a car's bumper on its chest and wheels on its heels. It had one of those rifle looking guns like that other robot did and a blue motorbike visor? Following a bit of a distance away from the 3, was the sound of more heavy footsteps, it sounded like an army.

I didn't have time to quell on the thought as a sudden blue light bathed the area, and footsteps echoed closer. That white robot with a glowing visor appeared, its calm, collected presence barely registering in my panicked state. I flinched, trying to hide further under the slab, desperately trying to escape.

The robot hid its weapons and got low to the ground, crouching to see me better. I curled into myself, pressing against the cold metallic floor, a shiver running through my body as the titan lifted the metal slab that was on top of me. It said something in another language to the other robots present - around 8 - it sounded like a mixture of clicks, whistles and warbles.

The biggest robot, a red, white and blue colour, came forward and crouched next to the one holding the slab. A blue light washed over me from another robot off to the side, it felt like pins and needles and that I was being violated. It was a shock before I started to scream and cry once more, my throat started to spark and cause pain.

The robot that scanned me muttered something under its breath but it was loud enough for the others to hear, angry engine revs and looks appeared on them all. My eyes flickered between them, pupils narrowing in confusion, fear and suspicion. I didn't understand a single word they were saying. They could be planning on what to do with me!

The two robots in front of me began to whisper softly, as if expecting a response. Their tones were gentle and reassuring, meant to calm me. The blue-visored bot extended a hand, rubbing the back of my hand with a finger. The unexpected touch made me flinch, and when it tried again, I hissed and whined, my throat flaring with discomfort.

The tallest bot hummed thoughtfully before turning to one of the others behind it. The red bot with a missile launcher on its back opened its chest compartment and retrieved a red rag that resembled a blanket. Handing it to the tall one, it carefully wrapped me up like a burrito, leaving only my hands and head exposed.

The robot lifted me gently, cradling me in the crook of its left arm as if I were a newborn. Why was I so small compared to it? It felt strange to be treated like a baby despite being an adult, yet a part of me found comfort in it. I gazed up in shock and bewilderment, only to be met with a gentle smile and softened optics, still glowing with a bright, serene blue.

I cooed as my right hand reached up toward its face. It gently lowered to my level, and I hesitantly rested my hand on its left cheek. A deep, soft rumble resonated from its chest, startling me, and my hand quickly dropped to my side. Soft chuckles filled the room, and I glanced around, wide-eyed, at the surrounding bots.

A mostly white robot with a red waist stepped forward, and that blue light scanned over me once more. The sensation was so uncomfortable that I squirmed, and soon, the tears started again—I hadn't even realised I'd stopped crying earlier, too curious and captivated by everything and everyone around me.

The one cradling me started speaking to me as it bounced me in place to calm me down but that warning sign appeared again, and now I noticed that pain in my stomach returned. To make it even worse, the adrenaline (or whatever it was) left and the pain in my shoulder kicked in. My wails became louder and my face scrunched up.

I was gently lifted onto its shoulder, a hand resting on the back of my head, its thumb tracing soothing circles. Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through my right arm—a needle. A scream tore from my throat as a strange blue and pink fluid spilled from it. My vents kicked into overdrive, struggling to cool my rapidly overheating body.

A soft, rubbery object was quickly shoved into my mouth, causing my crying to pause as I glanced down, my chest still heaving with hiccups. A pacifier—how absurd! Yet, instinctively, I began sucking on it, a sigh escaping me as I nestled into the warm fabric and rested my head against the titan's shoulder.

A huge wave of exhaustion hit me then, that robot drugged me and it was working! My eyes fluttered as I was lulled into a daze, every part of my body relaxed, the fear and confusion melting away. I fought to keep my eyes open, but the heaviness won.

I was moved once more and placed into a warm crevice, a soft sigh leaving me as I gave in, the world fading as sleep pulled me under.
