Sorry about the story getting deleted. I updated my chromebook and it for some reason deleted my story. I don't really know why, but my story has been reposted. Sorry for the inconvenience and that it took me so long to notice.

BTW I went through and rewrote/added parts to the chapters. I will also try to have each chapter be about 1,000 words from now on.

I DO NOT OWN HTTYD OR ANY OF ITS CHARACTERS. I DO OWN ALL OCs AND PLOT.

Just some info that will be important during the story:

Máni(OC) is from Berserker Island and was banished after refusing to marry the future chief, Bjorn(Oswald's older brother & OC). She later married Alvin the Treacherous, becoming Chiefess of Outcast Island.

Bjorn went nuts after Máni banishment, causing him to be deemed unfit to lead the tribe. He later almost killed his two year old nephew, Dagur, but was stopped by his father, Harald(OC), and sentenced to death. Harald died in his sleep not long after making Oswald Chief of Berserker Island. (In the original verse, Bjorn got so pissed when Máni refused to marry him that he killed her, but became devastated and then killed himself to be with her.)

Hiccup is about six months older than Starla. Hiccup's birthday is on June 20th and Starla's is on December 21st.

Valka is Spitelout's sister while Hilda is Spitelout's wife, in this fanfic, meaning that Hiccup and Snotlout are therefore cousins.

Prologue

The ships pulled up onto the docks of Outcast Island as Alvin the Treacherous, Chief of Outcast Island, returned home from an attack on Berk. It hadn't gone too well. The plan had been to capture Stoick's heir, who had been born around summer solstice. He led an invasion on the village, attacking from the sea while a small group led by Anders the Aggressive, would move through the woods and kidnap the heir while everyone was distracted. However, Anders was an idiot and led them into a Nightmare nest, causing them all to get killed. Alvin hated idiots. Anyway, the distraction turned into an actual battle, lasting hours. Berk was heavily damaged, but so was Alvin's fleet, meaning that neither side really got anything out of it.

The only thing Alvin had to look for was seeing his wife again. Her bright smile, which caused her brown eyes to shine brighter than the moon. Máni was the fiercest blond that Alvin had ever met and he had grown up on the Isle of Berk with Ingrid the Fierce, Stoick the Vast, and Gobber the Belch. She was also a full on night owl, which helped when a villager had a problem in the middle of the night, mainly because Alvin, himself, hated getting up before dawn. He had been told, by Máni since she was the only one with the guts to, that he was very grumpy in the morning, and that it wasn't till noon that he was passive.

Although, she wasn't one to talk as she hated getting up in the mornings and she had been moody for the past few months. To be fair, she was pregnant, but she still had never been a morning person. Máni was about thirty-seven weeks through her pregnancy when he left and that was about a week ago, so she should be giving birth soon. Máni had been calling their child their little star, so he was pretty sure that the baby would be named Starla if they had a little girl and Stjerne if they had a son.

Alvin hoped he hadn't missed the birth. He wanted to support his wife until the healers had him leave the room. If he had, then he wouldn't have missed out on hearing who won what bets. He had heard that around the island the vikings of his tribe had been making bets on whether the heir was going to be a boy or a girl. Alvin didn't really care either way. He just wanted his kid to be strong and brave, although being smart would be great too. So would being a natural leader, but that would still take practice. My Thor, he couldn't wait to see his child for the first time.

His ship docked and he jumped out and helped his men tie the ship to the wooden dock with a few thick ropes. Not long after they had finished, one of the healers, Ivar, came running up to him. Once the seventeen years old had caught his breath, he said something that worried Alvin more than any dragon raid ever had on Berk:

"The Chiefess went into labor a few days ago, sir. We tried, but…" Ivar trailed off, with a sad look on his face. Alvin looked over to where his hut stood, on the hill looking over the village and ran as fast as he could. I shouldn't have left. It wasn't worth it. I shouldn't have left. It wasn't worth it. I shouldn't have left. It wasn't worth it. His mind kept thinking on repeat until he got to his hut and opened the door to find the wooden hut dark and quiet. He ran into his bedroom, calling his wife's name, panic running through his blood. But there was no answer. He left his hut and ran over to the healer's hut in the middle of the village, where he was greeted by Frida, the Head Healer and the second oldest viking on the island. She led him into the hut and he asked, praying to the Gods that he was wrong and both his wife and their child was okay: "Máni?" Frida, shook her head and said:

"I'm sorry, Chief. We tried to save her, but we couldn't stop the bleeding."

"My child?"

"Healthy. A little smaller than normal and has pure white hair, but healthy." The old woman told her chief. She walked out of the room and a few minutes later, brought a baby girl wrapped in brown bear fur. She handed Alvin the girl and said: "Your daughter, my lord." Alvin looked at his child, and saw that she looked just like her mother, but with lighter hair and his bright blue eyes. Máni, our little star is perfect. Our little Starla. By Thor, he wished his wife would've been able to see their daughter grow.

Just so you know Ingrid the Fierce is Astrid's mother in this fic.
