Chapter 6: Out of the Darkness

Everyone screamed in terror when they saw the zombies that were surrounding them and staggering towards them.

Theodore cried out, "It's over for us!"

"Oh no it's not! We're going to get out of here!," Eleanor says. She then charges at the group of zombies.

"Ellie, what are you doing?!," Theodore yells out.

She plows through the zombies and knocks a good number of them down. She then exclaims, "This way! Hurry before they get back up!"

Everyone else quickly runs through the gap Eleanor created in the group of zombies and they scatter in different directions.

The Chipettes stick together in a group with Ms. Miller while the Chipmunks are in a group with Dave.

With the Chipettes' group, Brittany says to Eleanor, "That was brave, but highly risky and kind of stupid. Why did you do that?"

Eleanor responds, "You should know that I like sports. Also how else were we going to get out of there and away from the zombies?"

"That's true, but I was worried the zombies would get you when you did that," Brittany says.

Jeanette screams, "Look out!", as a tree falls their way.

The group manages to get out of the way of the tree, but get themselves in the path of burning, falling debris from a burning house.

"I just want this to end!," Brittany yells out.

With the Chipmunks' group, they are taking cover near a house from falling trees and moving cars.

"At least we got away from the zombies," Alvin says.

"Thanks to Eleanor," Theodore adds.

Simon says, "What Eleanor did was reckless, but brave and necessary."

"What's that?," Dave says as he looks ahead of them.

The boys look and see a flaming car heading towards them and scream.

"Move!," Alvin yells out.

The group just manages to get out of the car's way, but a large branch from a nearby tree falls down and traps Alvin under it.

"Help me!," Alvin cries out.

Simon, Theodore, and Dave immediately start moving the large branch off of Alvin. They quickly get the branch off and help Alvin up.

"Thanks," Alvin says gratefully.

"No problem," Dave responds.

Simon then says, "Guys, we have yet another problem heading our way." He then points toward a group of zombies coming toward them.

"Oh no, not again!," Theodore says.

With the Chipettes' group, Ms. Miller yells out, "Let's get away from here before this house becomes the death of us!"

The group runs and is able to get away from the burning house without any debris hitting them.

Eleanor says, "At least we got away from that house."

Jeanette then points and says, "Yes, but we've got another problem."

The rest of the group looks in the direction Jeanette is pointing and sees a familiar frightening sight: a group of zombies heading their way.

Brittany screams, "Not again!"

"I know," Ms. Miller says.

With the Chipmunks' group, they are surrounded by zombies and burning, moving cars.

Theodore screams out, "This is the end!"

Just as the group prepares for the end, Alvin looks up at the sky, points and exclaims, "Look!"

Simon responds, "What is it?"

The boys and Dave are excited to see the sun coming back out and the sky returning to its normal blue color.

"The eclipse is over!," Theodore yells excitedly.

Just as the sun fully emerges, the zombies all drop to the ground and return to their non-active dead state.

The firefighters and police arrive at the scene in their now properly working cars and trucks and get to work rescuing people now that the zombies are no longer a threat.

The Chipettes' group comes running up to the Chipmunks' group. They immediately hug everyone in the group.

"It's over!," Brittany says happily.

"We know. What a relief," Alvin replies.

Theodore and Eleanor look around at the destruction and cringe.

Theodore says, "Wow! What a disaster! How are we going to get all of this fixed?"

Alvin responds, "I have an idea. We could do benefit concerts to raise money to help fix all the damage."

"That's actually a good idea Alvin. You actually have a few of those every once in a while," Simon says.

"Of course you had to get a little jab in, didn't you Simon?," Alvin replies.

"Of course I did, you know I have to," Simon says.

Dave said, "Boys, not now. I don't need any arguing right now since we just got through this event."

"Okay Dave," Alvin and Simon both say.

"Alright, now I'm going to go try to book concert dates so we can get this show on the road as soon as possible," Dave says.

Alvin smirks and says, "Say I was right about the eclipse."

Simon and the Chipettes say, "You were right about the eclipse."

Alvin then says, "I think I'm psychic since I had a feeling that this would happen during the eclipse."

Simon says, "Oh no, you're not psychic."

Alvin replies, "Actually I think I am. I could maybe start my own show where I could predict things."

Simon says, "You thought you were psychic years ago and you weren't."

"Maybe I am now," Alvin says.

Dave then says, "No you're not."

"Maybe it took a while longer for my abilities to activate," Alvin says.

"Alvin," Dave says in a warning tone.

"It could happen," Alvin says.

"Alvin," Dave says again in a warning tone.

"Come on, believe me," Alvin says.

The group collectively says, "ALVIN!"

The eclipse has ended and the rebuilding will soon begin. Please review!
