As the Sun shone high above the grasslands, a beautiful day had come to the glorious kingdom of the Pridelands as the animals were going about their day as the light bathed over a magnificent rock formation, Pride Rock.

From the inside of the Den of pride rock, came the sound of laughter and cheering as a male golden Lion cub and a female cream colored cub raced out, chasing each other.

"Come on, your royal slowness, we don't wanna be late!" Nala told her friend, Simba, as they ran down Pride Rock.

"Heh, I'll show you slow!" Simba said with a smirk as he continued to chase after his friend before they saw an adult brown lioness walk in front of them, "Whoa!" He yelled as he and Nala skidded to a halt right before the lioness's paws, "Heh, hi mom," Simba said sheepishly.

"Good morning, Queen Sarabi," Nala greeted.

"And where are you two off to this early in the morning?" Sarabi asked with a motherly smile.

"We're gonna go play with Kula and the others at Urembo Meadows," Simba told her, swishing his tail, "Can we?" He asked.

"Well…" Sarabi started, glancing away.

"Pleeeease?" Both cubs said with toothy smiles.

"It's alright with me." Sarabi agreed as the two cheered, "Just remember, stay in the pridelands, and you have lessons with your father later," She told them.

"We will," Nala and Simba promised as they raced off.

Sarabi watched them go with a fond smile, "Ah, just like when your parents and I were cubs," She mused as the cubs raced across the pride lands.

Simba and Nala ran through a galloping Giraffe herd, running through the long thin legs of the giraffes. They were then joined by a female cub with tan colored fur with a tuff fur on her head.

"Hey Simba, hey Nala." The female cub greeted them.

"Hey Tama!" Nala said as they continued running as uphead, a sandy yellow male cub was sleeping soundly with three blue birds resting on him.

"Gang way, Tojo!" Simba called as Tojo opened his eyes and yelped as he saw the three cubs racing towards him and ducked down as Simba, Nala and Tama jumped over him.

"Just another normal day in the Pride Lands," Tojo sighed as he looked at his birds, "Come on, let's join them." He said, racing after his friends.

The four friends passed by a large baobab tree as a white mane mandrill with a long staff and gourds hanging from it saw them and gave a slight chuckle.

At the watering hole, a male cub with brown fur, with trousaled fur at the top of his head, was having a drink before he saw the four cubs, "Simba, Nala, Tama, Tojo," He greeted as each cub passed him, while Tojo birds flew above, as they jumped across hippo backs.

"Come on Chumvi!" Tama told the brown cub, "We're heading to Urembo Meadows," She told him.

Chumvi then jumped over with them as the first four cubs jumped on something green, revealing to be a young male crocodile, who looked to Chumvi with a glare and growl as the brown gave a sheepish smile, "Sorry Makuu," He said, jumping over the croc's head as Makuu gave a low hiss and sunk back into the water.

The five friends soon made it to Urembo Meadows where a female orangish brown cub was sitting on a lone rock, patiently waiting for them. "About time, I was starting to get hungry," The cub said, standing back up.

"Sorry we took so long, Kula," Simba told her.

"But hey, we're here now," Tojo said, his birds landing on his back and head.

"Not quite all," Tama noted as she counted them all, "Where's Malka?"

"He can't still be sleeping," Chumvi said in annoyance.

"Is he boosting his own ego again?" Nala asked.

"Classic Malka, all roar and no-" Simba tried to say before he was pounced on from the side by tan cream male cub with a tuft of black hair on his head and tips on his ears as he was on top of Simba.

"Ha! Gotcha Simba," The cub smirked. "And what took you guys so long?" He asked, looking at the others.

"Wait, Malka were you here the whole time?" Nala said in surprise.

"Duh, a lion is a master of stealth, control and surprise. Alway listening, always ready to pounce when you least expect it," Malka told her, as he snuck close to the ground, "Pretty impressive wouldn't you say, Nala?" He asked with a charming smile as Nala just gave an unimpressed frown and eye roll.

"You're just boosting your own ego again." Nala said in an unimpressed tone.

"Yeah, you'd probably have better luck tackling something really tricky, like a mongoose," Tama teased Malka with a smirk.

"Ha, ha," Malka said with a look before turning to Kula. "So what are we playing today?" He asked.

"Well I was thinking of Follow the Leader but we all know Simba would take first crack as Leader," Kula told them.

"That's because I'm gonna be…" Simba started proudly.

"King of the Pride Lands." the others finished boredly.

"Yeah, you already established that, Simba," Nala told her best friend.

"Like a bazillion times." Malka said with a bored look. "I think the Pride Lands get it."

"Well, at least I have my life figured out." Simba said with a smirk.

"No argument there." Chumvi said with a shrug. "Most lions in your position would have a hard time figuring out one's life."

"But are we sure to have Simba lead us? Cause he always finds a way to lead us into trouble." Kula said, giving Simba a teasing smirk.

"Oh come on, not always," Simba stated.

"That time we were playing hide and pounce and you thought it was a good idea to hide near the crocodile sunning spot?" Tojo reminded him with a brow.

"Hey, it was one time. And I thought it was the perfect hiding place." Simba said in defense.

"That time we were playing pass the Baobab fruit and you knocked a baboon on the head and sent his whole troop after us?" Tama reminded him.

"I didn't see him," Simba shrugged.

"The Honey Badger incident?" Malka shuddered. "You accidentally pounced on one when you were trying to catch a butterfly, which resulted in a very stinky reflex."

The other cubs gagged with their tongues, "King Mufasa was not happy," Kula stated.

"Okay, yeah, that was completely my fault." Simba said with a sheepish look. "But I've changed!" He said with a smile. "Besides, what's a little fun every now and then."

The five gave a look. "Okay, Simba, what is it you really want to go?" Chumvi asked with a smirk. "Knowing you, you didn't want to go play on Urembo Meadow."

"Actually, I just learned about this really cool place," Simba told them.

"Which is?" Nala asked eagerly.

"An elephant graveyard." Simba said with a smirk, which surprised his friends.

"Wow!" Nala said in amazement.

"Whoa, an elephant graveyard?" Malka asked before he gave a smirk. "Simba, you are itching for my approval."

"Wait a minute, who told you about that place?" Chumvi asked with a brow.

"My Uncle did." Simba answered with a smile.

"Scar?" The other cubs asked in shock before looking at each other uneasily at the mention of the only other adult male lion in the pride.

"Are you sure it's a good idea, Simba?" Chumvi asked cautiously.

"What do you mean?" Simba asked.

"What he means is, maybe you shouldn't be so quick to listen to what your uncle tells you," Kula explained.

"Yeah, my mom told me that Lion is a really bad influence," Tama told him.

"Yeah, something about Scar just rubs me the wrong way." Tojo said with a cringe.

"Plus, he's not exactly best uncle material." Malka said with a brow.

"Oh, come on, guys. My Uncle is awesome." Simba said with a smile. "Besides, it will be quick. An easy in and out."

"Wait, it's not past the rise of the morning border is it?" Chumvi asked them. "Your father said that place is strictly off limits."

Simba opened his mouth and was about to say something but then he closed his mouth shut. "Okay, you make a good point. But my uncle said only the bravest lions go there, and I know we're brave. Come on, guys. We'll be in and out before my dad even knows." Simpa encouraged them with a smile. "Don't you wanna take a look, aren't you even a little curious, hmm?"

The cubs all looked at each other while in deep thought before their temptations got to them as Nala spoke up with a smile. "Well, it would be an adventure." Nala said with a smile.

"Of course Nala is agreeing with Simba." Chumvi said to Kula.

"No surprise there." Kula said with a teasing smirk.

"It would be great to see remains of what used to be elephants right in the eye." Malka said with a smirk.

"I'm in." Tama said with her paw raised.

"I guess I'm in too." Tojo followed. "But I'm not risking bringing my Birds along, who knows what's in that place."

"If only the bravest lions go there, then you know I'm coming too, cause everyone knows I'm the Bravest of our group." Malka grinned.

Kula began looking around the place when he said that. "Oh I'm sorry, Malka. I was just looking for any animal who actually believes that other than yourself." She said with a smirk as Malka groaned from that. "But besides that I'm coming to make sure we come back."

The group then turned to Chumvi, who looked at them as he groaned. "I can't be beat by majority, don't I?" He asked with a sigh.

"I don't think so, Chum Chum." Kula said teasingly as Chumvi groaned.

"Fine." Chumvi said with a sigh. "I'll go. But we better make it quick. I don't want the king having our hides for disobeying his rules."

"Oh relax, Chumvi, what's the worst that could happen?" Simba asked.

"Hyenas, Jackals, vultures, Rogue Lions, Rogue Leopards, Rogue crocodiles, rogue herbivores." Chumvi listed out before looking at Simba. "Do I need to continue?"

"Rogue herbivores?" Tojo said in confusion.

"Okay!" Simba said with a rolled of his eyes. "You guys made your point. But like I said, a quick one. Now come on! Before our parents suspected we were gone for too long." He said as he rushed off.

"Good thing that little annoying banana beaked Dodo that works for your dad isn't with us." Malka said with a chuckle.

"Heh, if Zazu was here, we would've ditch him anyway." Nala said with a playful look.

"How, by bursting into song and somehow getting the other animals involved?" Kula joked which made the others chuckle.

"Well, let's get out of here before the Dodo shows up," Malka suggested.

"Let's move." Chumvi said as he and the others rushed after Simba. "Wait up, Simba!" He called out as they rushed through the field.

Near noon, the cubs arrived at the edge of the northern border, "Well this is it!" Simba said eagerly. "I told you we would make it. I'm a genius."

"Hey, Genius, we tried to talk you out, but you wouldn't take no for an answer." Nala said with a smirk.

"Maybe, but the King gets his way all the time." Simba boasted.

"With us." Nala teased.

"Oh, yeah?" Simba questioned with a challenging smirk.

"Oh boy, here we go again." Kula said in amusement.

"Should we count this as their way of flirting?" Tojo asked with a chuckle.

"I think so." Tama said with a giggle before they saw Simba pounce on Nala, making them spin around before Nala got on top of Simba and pinned him down.

"Pinned ya." Nala said with a victorious smile.

"Hey, let me up." Simba groaned as he pushed Nala off, while the lioness gave a victorious look before Simba pounced on her again, which caused the two to tumble down hill with laughs as their friends watched.

"Okay, I seriously can tell that those two enjoy it." Malka said with a smirk.

"When is Simba ever gonna learn that no matter how hard he tries he will never pin Nala" Kula asked with a smile.

"Her mother's the best pinner in the pride," Chumvi reminded them.

"True." Tojo said as they slid down the hill as they stopped beside Simba and Nala as lioness pinning Simba again.

"Pinned ya again," Nala said with a smirk towards Simba.

"The score checks out, Nala: 52, Simba: Zip." Tama teased.

"I'll pin Nala someday, I know I will." Simba said with determination.

"When Hippos Fly." Malka snarked.

"Yeah, you say that every time, Simba, and every time you always fail." Kula said with a smirk as Simba got up.

"Trust us, Simba, even the king can't beat lioness at pins." Chumvi said with a shrug. "There's some things that are not avoid-."

Chumvi was cut off by a sudden eruption of steam, which startled the cubs for a moment before it stopped, which showed view of a pair of tusks on a hill as Simba gave a smile as the cubs slowly walked up and saw the remains of a skeleton of an elephant. "This is it. We made it." Simba said in shock as they turn to one side of the hill.

"Whoa." The cubs all said as they saw the endless field of elephant skeletons and decayed corpses.

"It really is an Elephant Graveyard." Tojo muttered.

"It's really creepy." Nala said in awed.

"Yeah. Isn't it great?" Simba asked his friends with a smile.

"We're in so much trouble," Tama commented.

"You got that right," Simba smirked.

"Alright, we've seen the Graveyard, let's go before trouble shows up," Chumvi suggested, looking uneasy.

"What?" Kula asked in surprise. "Come on Chum Chum, we only got a view. We need to be more up close and personal."

"But this place is dangerous, second only to The Outlands." Chumvi said in worry.

"Ah, don't be such a scaredy cat, bud." Malka said with a smirk. "Just deal with it and be brave. Well not as brave as me." He boasts.

Simba gave a groan as Nala giggled before Chumvi sighed. "Okay, fine. But let's just check this skeleton out. It's closer." He said as he gestured to the skeleton beside them.

"I wonder if any of these skulls have any brains still in them." Malka said with a smirk as they walked closer to the skeleton's head.

"There's only one way to know." Simba said with a smirk as he went closer to the head. "Come on, let's go check it out."

Then suddenly, flying in front of Simba was a blue, black and white, red hornbill bird, "Wrong!" The hornbill stated with a stern glare.

"Zazu?!" The group exclaimed in shock.

"Oh man!" Simba complained.

"Wait, how did you know where we were?" Malka asked in shock and confusion.

"Do you really think I would allow the heir to the throne of the Pride Lands go off galavanting on his own?" Zazu questioned with a look. "And I had a suspicion the young master would do something disastrous, but going into an elephant graveyard!?"

"Blame Scar for giving Simba the idea." Tama spoke up.

"Ah, makes more sense." Zazu said with a sigh.

"Come on, we just wanted to check it out." Simba said.

"The only checking out you will do will be to check out of here." Zazu said firmly.

"Oh, man!" Simba complained.

"We're way beyond the boundary of the Pride Lands." Zazu said in worry while rubbing his wings.

"Looks like, Banana-Beak is scared," Simba said in amusement before Zazu poked a wing to his muzzle.

"It's Mr. Banana-Beak to you, Fuzzy! And right now we are all in very danger." Zazu said as Simba walked past him.

"I walk on the wild side. I laugh in the face of danger." Simba said with a smirk as he got close to the elephant skeleton as he gave an over exaggerated laugh, but then a loud cackle was heard, followed by two more, which made Simba gasped as he jumped behind the others as the group backed away before three hyenas came out of the Elephant Skull, one female and two males.

"Well, well, well, Banzai, what have we got here?" The female asked with a sly smirk as the cubs and the Hornbill gave a frightened look.

"Mmm, I don't know, Shenzi." Banza said with a smirk. "What do you think, Ed?" He asked before Ed just gave a crazed laugh. "Just what I was thinking. A troop of twerpy trespassers!"

"And quite by accident, let me assure you." Zazu said while looking nervous as the cubs began to turn around. "A simple negational error." He added before his tail was stepped on Shenzi.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait, wait, wait." Shenzi said with a smirk. "I know you. You're Mufasa's little stooge."

"I, madam, am the king's major domo!" Zazu corrected with a snooty look.

The hyenas then circled the cubs, "And that would make you kitty," Banzai said, looking at Simba specifically

"The Future King." Simba said with a brave look.

"Do you know what we do to kings who step out of their kingdoms?" Shenzi questioned with a smirk as Simba scoffed.

"You can't do anything to me." Simba said with a look.

"Um, technically, they can." Tama said a bit nervously. "We are on their territory, Simba."

"But Zazu told me they're nothing but slobbering, mangy, stupid, poachers," Simba said as Zazu cringed with a nervous smile and gestured for him to stop.

"Ix-nay on the upid-stay." Zazu said nervously, knowing Hyenas are easily insulted.

"Upid stay? Shouldn't you mean, stupid?" Tojo asked confusedly.

"Who you calling stupid?!" Banzai questioned with a look as Tojo flinched back.

"My, my my. Oh, look at the sun! It's time to go!" Zazu quickly said.

"Yeah, we'll just leave!" Chumvi said as they were about to make a run for it, but Shenzi blocked them.

"What's the hurry?" Shenzi asked, backing them away, "We'd love for stick around for dinner,"

"Um, we didn't bring anything to eat," Kula said nervously.

Banzai just gave a chuckle, "That's not gonna be a problem," He said with a smirk.

Tojo gulped, "Um, guys, I think we're the dinner," he nervously as Ed laughed again and licked his chops.

"Yeah, we could have whatever's lion around!" Banzai joked with a laugh.

"Wait, wait, wait, I got one, I got one!" Shenzi spoke up, waving her paw. "Make mine a cubs meal, what do you think?" She asked with a laugh. Ed then jumped up between them and gestured his paws to a direction while making strange noises. "What, Ed? What is it?" She questioned with a brow.

"Hey, did we order this dinner to go?" Banzai questioned with a brow, getting what Ed was saying.

"No, why?" Shenzi questioned in confusion.

"'Cause there it goes!" Banzai exclaimed as the three saw Zazu and the cubs running further into the elephant graveyard.

The group ran as fast as they could while Zazu flew by close to them. But then Zazu was caught by the tail as he was pulled away from the group as the lion cubs stopped to catch their breaths.

"Did we lose them?" Nala asked.

"I think so." Simba said.

"Well Simba, we can officially add getting chased by Hyenas to the list of times you've got us into trouble." Malka said with a look.

"Hey, I didn't expect the hyenas to be here." Simba said in defense. "They usually live in The Outlands!"

"Wait, where's Zazu?" Chumvi aske as they noticed Zazu was missing.

Tama gasped, "The Hyenas must have gotten him!" She realized in fear.

"H-Hurry, we have to go back for him!" Tojo said as they rushed away.

Zazu gave a scream as he was held by Banzai while next to a mini-geyser. "The little major-domo bird hipped-hopped all the way to the birdie-boiler," Banzai said as the other hyenas watched in amusement as Zazu was shoved into the geyser.

"Oh, no! Not the birdie-boiler!" Zazu cried out before he was launched out of the geyser with a scream as the three hyenas laughed in amusement from what happened to Zazu.

"Hey, why don't you pick on somebody your own size?" Simba challenged with a serious look as he and the others were on top of a skeleton.

"Like you?" Shenzi asked with an evil grin.

"Simba, didn't you think this through?" Chumvi questioned with a brow. "They're twice our size and adults, we're just cubs!"

"Oops." Simba said in realization.

One of the hyenas was about to pounce on them, but Malka got in front of the others and used his hind legs and kicked Banzai away, which made him yelp. "Ow! My nose! He kicked me in the nose!" Banzai cried out while holding his muzzle, much to the shock of the hyenas.

"Run for it!" Malka yelled out as the cubs rushed off as they stopped at a geyser, before the three hyenas appeared through the streams.

"Boo!" They all called before Chumvi gave a startled yell and accidentally swiped his claws at their faces, causing them to scream in pain as they clutched their faces.

"Wow, Chumvi! Nice reflex!" Kula said with a surprised smile.

"Was trying to swipe them away, but that works! Now, go!" Chumvi said as the cubs all ran through the Elephant graveyard.

"This way!" Kula told them as they climbed up a skeleton as the hyenas got close to Tama, but she kicked her legs and knocked him away as the cubs rode down the spine, which made them yelp before they were sent flying and landed on a skeleton pile as they began to climb it.

"Guys!" Nala's voice yelled out as the group looked down and saw Nala slipping as the hyenas got closer to her.

"Nala!" Tojo cried out as Simba got a serious look and rushed up to Nala as he then clawed Shenzi to the cheeks, which made her receive a scar as she growled.

The cubs rushed up to a cave but they reached a dead end with an elephant skeleton. "We're trapped!" Kula cried in worry as they saw the hyenas approaching.

"Here, kitty, kitty, kitty." Banzai said with a smirk as the three hyenas got close to them.

Nala and Tojo hid behind the others in fear while Chumvi, Kula, Malka, Tama, and Simba glared at them as Simba then gave a weak roar, much to the hyenas' amusement. "That was it?" Shenzi asked with a smirk as they shared a laugh.

"Simba, you're embarrassing yourself." Malka said with a brow.

"You hear that, the future king!" Banzai taunted. "You're embarrassing yourself."

"Back off. We just wanted to see the elephant graveyard. And we did, why can't you just let us go?" Chumvi questioned with a look. "Because if you even harm Simba or any of his friends, the king will have a lot of words with you."

"Oh, like he would know." Shenzi said with a smirk. "You come to our lands, so we can do whatever we want with you, which is dinner."

Simba gave a glare as he then tried to give another roar, but it came out louder and deeper this time, which surprised his friends as they looked at Simba in shock while the hyenas looked surprised and confused by that roar.

"Whoa, Simba. Now that was a roar," Tojo told him.

Simba looked at himself while giving a confused look. "Uh, guys, that wasn't me." He said, but before anyone could ask, Mufasa, Simba's father, came in and talked the hyenas down as he roared and attacked them as Zazu came to the cubs as they watched in awe at Mufasa at the fight.

Soon, Mufasa tackled the three hyenas down as he growled at them. "Oh, please, please! Uncle, uncle!" Shenzi pleaded.

"Silence!" Musfasa yelled out, which made the three hyenas flinch.

"We're gonna shut up right now!" Banzai cried out.

"Calm down. We're really sorry." Shenzi said with a nervous smile while Ed covered his head.

"If you ever come near my son again," Mufasa warned with a deathly glare.

"Oh this is, this is your son," Shenzi played dumb.

"Oh yours?" Banzai added, laughing nervously.

"Did you know that?" Shenzi asked him.

"No, I mean I had no idea, did you?" Banzai asked her.

"No! Of course not!" Shenzi promised.

"Ed?" The two hyenas asked the third with hopeful smiles.

Ed, however, gave a smile and nodded his head, which made Mufasa roar in anger, which made the hyenas flinch as Shenzi clutched Ed fearfully. "Ehehe, Toodles." Bazai said with a smile and wave as the three hyenas rushed off, yipping in fear.

Zazu then flew over to Mufasa and gave a proud nod and smile. But Musfasa gave a firm glare, which made Zazu flinch back as the cubs came up from behind while Simba walked up closer to his father. "Dad, I…" Simba tried to say.

"You deliberately disobeyed me," Mufasa stated firmly.

Simba looked down in sadness. "Dad, I'm… I'm sorry." He tried to say.

"Let's go home." Mufasa said firmly as they then began to walk off while Zazu flew low while the cubs looked down in guilt with their heads lowered.

"We are all in big trouble." Chumvi said, looking down.

"Hopefully our parents will go easy on us." Kula said with a hopeful smile.

"Compared to King Mufasa, our parents are not as bad as what he plans on with his son." Malka said with a shrug.

"Malka, shut up, Simba is already…. Not doing so well." Tama said as they all saw Simba looked down in sadness.

"Oh, oops." Malka said with a cringe look.

"I thought you were very brave." Nala said to Simba, trying to add some comfort to him, as they left the cave. As they left however none of them saw they were being watched up on the ledge by a strange figure, looking down with cold eyes.

Near sundown, the group made it back to the Pride Lands as Mufasa kept the lead while the cubs followed from behind while Simba was still down. They soon came to a stop as they saw an orange lion with a black mane and single scar on his eye approach Mufasa.

"You found them," The other lion said.

"Yes, Scar, at the Elephant Graveyard," Mufasa explained.

Scar hummed, "Clearly someone didn't listen when I said only Lions who 'think' they're brave go there," He commented, looking towards Simba specifically.

"Sorry, uncle. I guess I wanted to just be brave." Simba said sadly.

"Is that so?" Mufasa asked while giving his brother a look, who gave a shrug.

"Perhaps I should've been more specific with my words." Scar said simply before he noticed something on Chumvi's paw. "Is that blood on your paw, Chumvi?"

Chumvi looked at his paw and noticed some blood still on it. "Must've caught some blood from the hyenas when they attacked us." He said in surprise. "B-But it was only for defense!" He quickly said. "They spooked us, and then they caught Zazu, launched him from a geyser, one of them tried to pounce us before Malka kicked him in the nose!"

"And proud of it." Malka said with a proud smile.

"I got in my own good kick too." Tama added.

"We never would've gotten a chance if Tojo hadn't told us to go back for Zazu," Kula said, looking at Tojo.

"And Kula helped us get away from the hyenas until King Mufasa showed up," Tojo added.

"A-And when I slipped, Simba rushed in and clawed the leader away." Nala spoke up next.

Scar hummed in thought. "Impressive, children." He said as Mufasa gave his brother a look. "You must admit, they are very skilled for their age, brother." He said with a shrug, unbothered by his brother's glare.

"Even so, it does not excuse what they did, crossing the border and putting themselves in danger." Mufasa said with a frown.

"Hmm, reminds me of two other young cubs who got themselves into trouble," Scar mused.

"That was different." Mufasa said firmly.

"Yes, I remember I wanted nothing to do with what you planned back then too." Scar said with an even look as he turned to the hornbill. "Zazu, I believe our presence here is no longer needed."

Zazu was shocked by this as he gave Scar a look before Mufasa spoke up. "He's right, Zazu. You two take Nala and the others home. I've got to teach my son a lesson." He said as he gave Simba a firm look, which Simba hunched down in fear.

"I'll leave you to it then," Scar told his brother, who nodded before he looked at Zazu. Zazu sighed and flew down to the cubs.

"Come along, young ones." Zazu said as the cubs nodded before Scar looked at Simba.

"Simba," Scar then sighed, "Good luck," He said before he started walking away.

Simba watches his friends go with a frown as his friends turn back to him before they followed Scar and Zazu. "Simba!" Mufasa said loudly, which made Simba flinch as he slowly turned to his father and walked up to before he felt something on the ground, which showed a large paw print before he continued before he sat down beside his father.

Simba slowly looked up to his father, who gave a soft yet firm look to him. "Simba, I'm very disappointed in you." He said.

"I know." Simba said sadly.

"You could've been killed." Mufasa said to him. "You deliberately disobeyed me, and what's worse, you put your friends in danger. Do you realize what could've happened had I not arrived? You jeopardized the safety of our pride." He said with a disappointed look which was honestly much worse than anger.

Simba tried his best to keep his tears back. "I was just trying to be brave, like you." He said to him,

"I'm only brave when I have to be, not when I choose to be." Mufasa said to him with a frown. "Simba, being brave doesn't mean you go out looking for danger."

"But you're not scared of anything." Simba said to him as Mufasa softened his face.

"I was today." Mufasa said, which surprised Simba.

"You were?" Simba asked.

"Yes. I thought I might lose you." Mufasa said as he leaned close to his son.

"Oh." Simba said before he gave a small smile. "I guess even kings get scared, huh?" He asked as Mufasa nodded with a small smile. "But you know what?" He whispered.

"What?" Mufasa asked.

"I think those hyenas were even scareder." Simba commented, which caused his father to laugh.

"'Cause nobody messes with your dad." Mufasa said before he grabbed his son. "Come here, you." He said as he grabbed Simba and gave him a noogie.

"Oh, no! No!" Simba playfully said as he struggled to break free while Mufasa chuckled before Simba got free. "Come here!" He said as he tackled his father, who rushed off as the two shared a laugh before Simba pounced on him. "Gotcha!" he cheered as the two rolled on the ground as the two gave a smile. "Dad?" He asked as his father looked up on him. "We're pals, right?"

"Right." Mufasa answered with a smile.

"And we'll always be together, right?" Simba asked with a smile as Mufasa then stood up.

"Simba, let me tell you something that my father told me." Mufasa said as they then looked up at the stars. "Look at the stars. The great kings of the past look down on us from those stars."

"Really?" Simba asked in awed.

"Yes." Mufasa nodded. "So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you. And so will I." He said as the two lions looked at the stars together.

Later, Mufasa and Simba returned to Pride Rock where Sarabi was waiting for them. The King and Queen shared a nuzzle as Sarabi looked down to Simba with a frown, "You had me worried," She said in disappointment.

"I'm sorry, mom," Simba said in guilt as he lowered his head in shame while Sarabi gave him a gentle lick.

"I'm just glad you are alright. But still, this cannot go unpunished," Sarabi told him gently, "You are to head to bed tonight without dinner, and for the next two days you and your friends are to remain here at Pride Rock. That should give you time to think about what you've done."

"Okay, mom." Simba said with a sad look with his head lowered as he walked up the sleeping area.

Mufasa and Sarabi watched as their son walked as Scar walked up to them, "Sarafina and the other parents have been informed, as of this moment the cubs are restricted to Pride Rock," Scar reported.

"I feel as if from now on, we must assign at least one lioness to watch over the cubs, to prevent any more misadventures," Sarabi told the two brothers.

"Or that hyperactive meerkat and that foul smelling warthog Simba brought back with him," Scar complained.

"That meerkat and warthog saved Simba's life and as King I owe them a lifetime of gratitude," Mufasa told his brother with a firm look.

"Besides, I certainly trust them not to give my son ideas of breaking the law again," Sarabi said, giving Scar a look as he gave a low growl.

"Enough," Mufasa said gently, stepping between his brother and mate, "Neither blame nor praise will change what has happened."

"Thank you brother, but I detect something else on your mind," Scar noted.

Mufasa then gave a suspicious look, "From how Simba described what happened, it almost seemed as if, the Hyena were expecting the cubs to come," He noted.

"How could you tell?" Sarabi asked in worry.

"When Simba was close to an elephant's remains, the hyenas came out exactly at the right time and place they were supposed to be." Mufasa said with a serious look. "If it was if they knew they were going to be there and try and get them."

"Are you suggesting that we have a mole in our pride?" Scar questioned with a brow.

"I must not make assumptions," Mufasa said, shaking his head before looking at the two, "Sarabi, be sure to inform me of where every lioness is and what they are doing each day, and Scar, you and I will patrol the kingdom to keep an eye out for more incidents."

"Yes, dear." Sarabi nodded.

"Understood, my king." Scar said naturally as he walked back into the den.

Mufasa sighed, "What am I going to do with him,"

"Well from what Zazu told me, he would make for a very dashing throne rug." Sarabi told him.

"Sarabi." Mufasa said with a playful smirk.

"Well, according to Sarafina you're brother is quite dashing," Sarabi smiled before it turned a bit sad, "It's a shame that Scar never realized how she cares for him,"

"We both know that what he lost was more painful than can possibly be described," Mufasa told her with a solemn look.

Sarabi then sighs with a sad look. "The roar and the Guard." She muttered.

Mufasa sighed. "I blame myself for not helping him with his pain sooner." He said in guilt before he felt Sarabi nuzzled him.

"Come, that's enough feeling sorry for ourselves. Let's get some rest for tonight." Sarabi suggested with a smile.

Mufasa nodded with a smile as the two walked into the Den. They walked up to their spot while the other lions were asleep, but then they saw Simba and the other cubs together, sleeping peacefully as they gave light snores, which made the King and Queen give fond smiles at them.

"They are brave cubs." Sarabi said with a smile. "Even though you saved them in the end, they did well together." She said.

"Perhaps a long with a new king and queen, our kingdom will have new protectors," Mufasa said with a smile.

"I believe so." Sarabi finished with a smile as the two petted their son, who yawned while still sleeping as they then walked up to their stone bed and then laid down as they snuggled close to each other and slowly went to sleep as a new day was coming to them at dawn.

And So Simba's first adventure was done. For those who don't know the other cubs; Malka, Tama, Tojo, Chumvi and Kula are from the none canon Lion King book series, all friends of Simba and Nala and will join them on many future adventures.

After a close shave with the Hyenas, the cubs will be staying at Pride Rock for a while, and the adults think that someone in the Pride might had told the Hyenas about the cubs. For those who believe that it's Scar...well, he is the most likely suspect but who was the figure watching them in the Graveyard.

This story was helped by my good friends, Jesus and marvelomac1010 and made in honor of James earls Jones. Long Live the King.

Next time, the Cubs meet the Classic Comedy duo of the Pride Lands and recall the day they met them.
