Chapter 1: Welcome to School

Young Preterist Force member Carl Meninger smiled as the students of Mulrennan Middle School attended the assembly for the start of the school year. Carl could hardly believe how much the world had changed since the attack on England by those Christian terrorists and the start of the Preterist Persecution. Four years had passed since Nicolae Carpathia had negotiated with the terrorists that attacked England and four years of the Preterist Persecution had already elapsed. Carl knew that the world would get even worse as Preterists would face even more persecution.

Luckily for Carl, he was granted a boon of unexpected magnitude, almost like a meteor shower. Florida was one of two safe locations immune from the persecution of the Global Community and anyone else with Carpathia's mark (which was a symbol representing Christianity, Islam, or Judaism). Preterists could peacefully live in Petra and Florida as they pleased without the threat of the Global Community harassing them, as both Florida and Petra were places of refuge for God's Preterists only. When Carl moved to Florida to continue his work for the Young Preterist Force, he was given an opportunity to work at Mulrennan Middle School as a computer teacher and as a Preterist teacher. Carl felt blessed and privileged with the job he had acquired. Carl also supervised the Mulrennan Middle School Chess Club and watched the games in the Mulrennan Middle School Chess League as a commissioner. Carl was also the assistant coach of the Mulrennan Middle School Bowling Team.

Carl watched the seventh graders from where they were sitting in the middle of the auditorium. From there, he saw Arun Cherian, a seventh-grade student at Mulrennan Middle School. Though Arun's parents and younger brother had become Preterists, Arun still was a holdout. He honestly wasn't sure what choice to make. Carl told Arun's parents he would do his best to convince the boy of the truth about Preterism and find some way to motivate him to accept the truth, but he could not force Arun to become a Preterist. Arun had to make the decision to become a Preterist, himself.

Reggie Wilkes was Arun's best friend and was sitting next to him in the auditorium. Reggie had become a Preterist, and that elated Carl. The more people that joined the family of Preterism and became part of God's family, the better. He was certainly ecstatic.

The principal of Mulrennan Middle School, Sunil Mehra, approached the podium. Mister Mehra had become a Preterist just after the attack in England occurred.

"Greetings, students and staff of Mulrennan Middle School", Mister Mehra announced into the microphone. "I'm thrilled that you are all here. Hope the Almighty takes care of us and we continue to fulfill God's will and allocate the message of Preterism to individuals that could potentially join the family of Preterists. Of course, I will update all of you with messages from Tsion Ben-Judah and the other members of the Preterist Force. May God watch over us all."

The students and staff of Mulrennan Middle School clapped, including Carl. He truly hoped that more young people would accept and believe in the truth about Preterism. Carl felt that if he contributed, he would be fulfilling his purpose for God and the Young Preterist Force.
