As Kim Possible and Ben Tennyson were resting into the night, Kim recounted how she stopped giant robots from destroying the world in Tokyo. Ben recalls blowing up the Chimeran Hammer with his archnemesis Vilgax onboard it. It was all giggles until the hooded woman materialized, and they looked at her, stunned. "Greetings, travelers from beyond the fog. I am Melina." She said with an angelic voice, removing her hood and revealing her face. "I offer you an accord." She asked if they heard of finger maidens, who serve the Two Fingers, offering guidance and aid to the Tarnished. She then pointed out she was maidenless, but Kim kept her composure this time. But, she pointed out she can play the role of maiden, offering strength from runes and aid in search of the Elden Ring, only they had to take her with them to the foot of the Erdtree.

Kim and Ben looked at each other, perhaps wondering if she would also know what they were doing here before Kim spoke and reached her hand out, "We'll accept your offer, Ms. Melina."

Melina looks down on her hand before saying after shaking her hand awkwardly, "Please, just call me Melina. I'm glad we've settled on this. Just summon me by grace to turn runes into strength."

When Kim sat back down, Melina said, "Ah, another matter. I bequeath to you this ring. Use it to traverse great distances."

As Melina handed over the Spectral Steed Whistle, Ben asked after retrieving it, "And, what does it do?"

"It will summon a spectral steed named Torrent." She answered, "Torrent has chosen you. Treat him with respect."

After this exchange, they wished for their runes to be turned to strength. After that, Melina left and the two slept. That night, however, Ben suddenly woke up and whistled with the ring on his finger, and Torrent appeared from underneath him. This woke Kim up, but she realized she was hungry. Ben got her on Torrent and guided them uphill, approaching a Kaiden Sellsword on horseback. The sellsword mercenary immediately attacked, but Kim ducked under the mercenary's dismounter. When they came around for another charge, Kim jumped off Torrent and kicked the sellsword off. Ben then plunges his sword into the sellsword, killing him. Ben then replaces his sword with the Dismounter sword and loots the corpse, finding rowa fruits that Kim ate on the spot, saying they taste like strawberries. Ben said they should get more, and with Kim back on Torrent, he rides south of the ruins. They were about to cross the bridge when a Godrick Soldier, two foot soldiers, and a Kaiden Sellsword riding his horse noticed them and attacked them. Ben was the first to perish, followed by Kim.

Upon respawning at the Site of Grace, Kim suddenly felt full like she didn't need to eat for a while. Ben was determined to go on Torrent again, suddenly forgetting Kim as he rode off. After Ben died again, Kim sighed before Ben reappeared again. Kim then demanded that he let her ride Torrent, to which Ben reluctantly agreed. When Kim rode off, she got off to face the foot soldiers and Godrick soldier, taking them out with her athleticism and throwing a foot soldier's helmet into the Godrick soldier's face. When confronted with the sellsword, Kim jumps from the unconscious Godrick soldier's chest and kicks the sellsword off his mount. As the sellsword got up, Kim called him over to the bridge ledge and when the sellsword charged and got his sword stuck between bricks, Kim mounted Torrent and rammed him off to his doom. She then rode off further south, spotting a wagon towed by trolls and escorted by a sellsword and nobles.

She goes into the ruins, but outside she goes south, avoiding all the sellswords and Godrick soldiers. Upon seeing a noble sorcerer shooting Glintstone pebbles at her, Kim went behind big ruins west of a small graveyard and knocked the noble out, taking a glintstone staff. She tried turning back, but she was surrounded by those she tried to avoid, so she jumps down to another ledge, taking a hard fall, but she was fine. When she returned north back to the Waypoint Ruins, she had been ambushed by a sellsword and was pierced, killing her.

When Kim respawns at the Site of Grace near Gatefront Ruins, she found that Ben was gone. He was going to the nearby Artist's Shack. When he got close, a silver blob drops from the roof and Ben was surprised that it could rise up. Ben turns into Heatblast and before he could destroy it, the silver blob spoke with desperation, "Please, wait! Proud, Tarnished warrior. Before you kill me, let me speak! I can aid you. Please, just hear me out!" Ben turns back, realizing that a "blob of silver" could talk. When he said he wasn't going to hurt the thing, the blob thanked him, introducing herself as Asimi. She revealed her true form is a Silver Tear, a being who can turn into anything, but she gained knowledge, fearing death and can speak. She begs Ben to spare her, and would give him power in exchange. Ben said, "Alright, no need to keep begging me, because I already forgive you." Asimi then tells him to breathe her in, as she will live inside him. Ben felt weirded out, but agreed, feeling slime and silver going into him.

Meanwhile, Kim returns to the Waypoint Ruins, avoiding the walking living flowers of magic, Miranda Sprouts trying to spray poison or rain lights on her. She enters the basement of the ruins, but was confronted by a mutant brawny humanoid with a gold pumpkin for a head. She slides under avoiding his flail and punching behind the Mad Pumpkin Head's knee, making it kneel. The Mad Pumpkin Head got up and angrily smashed his helmet on the ground, trying to get her, but she got on his back and pulled on his cape, doing it hard until the Mad Pumpkin Head collapsed and disappeared into particles.

When she discovers a door, she crouches and lifts it open, revealing a figure in a blue robe and a stone head. She seemed barefoot on some blue crystals. The figure took notice of Kim. "Tarnished, are we? A wonder you should turn up here." She said strictly, "I am Sellen, a sorcerer, quite plainly. Why are you here?" Kim looked at her staff and said she wanted to learn sorceries. When Sellen acknowledged and sensed Kim's strong mind, she advised her to choose her masters wisely. Sellen was exiled from the Academy of Raya Lucaria accused of being a reviled witch. Regardless of this shared truth, Kim still wanted to learn sorceries from her. However, Sellen made it clear she would be strict with her. After learning Glintstone Arc and Pebble, Kim asked Sellen why she was exiled, but Sellen wouldn't disclose, not until Sellen saw something that proves Kim of worth sharing.

After exiting the basement, Kim uses her new sorceries on the living plants, which kills them. She even stood next to the escort, announcing herself and using her new spells on them, which she falsely believed was knocking them out. After eliminating the escort and stopping the trolls, she opened the chest to reveal a flail she took to give to Ben. She then continues up the path, reuniting with him at the Site of Grace before telling each other what they found.
