I have so many ideas for stuff, which makes me want to consider a pause in this story, and its sister though that's also because I've burned through most of the notes I had for this as I've not had the chance to plan fast enough to keep up with uploads and just life in general. It's not set in stone yet, but when it does happen, I'll let you all know. But there'll probably be other stuff to take its place in the interim.

Chapter 35: Ice and Fire

"Just like I expected, Shiozaki's nonviolence, but she's not weak," Honenuki stated as they watched the fight end almost as fast as it started, Shiozaki having dominated the entire exchange and walking away with the win.

"Still, you think she could have tried to go for a ring-out instead?" Kaibara asked as Yaoyorozu seemed pretty close to the line there.

Midoriya shook his head at the idea. "She prefers not to harm; besides she seems to prefer restraining targets so that can't hurt others or themselves." He replied as Shiozaki and he shared that mindset. After all, while villains were certainly bad people, it was their job to stop them-not punish them through violence. Even when he was angry at the USJ, he made sure that any burns the villains got would clear up in a couple of hours.

"I wonder why she didn't just do that from the start then" Tsuburaba asked.

"Maybe she had to manipulate Yaoyorozu into a better spot to strike," Shishida suggested.

"So, she had no chance? That's gotta sting, especially when you throw in the whole holding back thing as pretty sure that Yaoyorozu girl wasn't." Tokage sighed, as she was happy that her classmate and member of the greens managed the win, and an easy one at that but still, seeing Yaoyorozu walking off the stage, holding back tears made it taste a lot more bitter.

"Certainly not the most…ideal showing for a hero course student," Monoma added, his competitive spirit for their sister class tamed at the moment as not even he would kick someone when they're down.

"I'm sure Tsu and Uraraka can make her feel better. It was just a bad match-up, that's all. Heroes sometimes deal with stuff like that all the time." Midoriya said, to which Tsunotori was happy to support him.

"Yeah, and she was not bad, she fought. Heroes are sure to see that and be like she is cool." Some of their number seemed to be buying what they were selling, but others seemed a little more skeptical after all this was meant to be a showing of what you can do, and even if pros could see that Yaoyorozu just had bad luck, they just meant they didn't have a chance to see what she could do.

It was a sentiment that was to be found in class A as Ojiro frowned at the sight of Yaoyorozu retreating off the field, and Cementoss repairing it for the next fight. "To be so easily bested, that must be frustrating."

"A bitter pill to swallow indeed." Tokoyami crossed his arms, closing his eyes.

"Well, looks like it's up to you Todoroki to even..the…score." Kaminari looked to where Todoroki had been but found an empty seat. "When did he leave?"

"Right after Yaoyorozu's match started," Shoji replied, to which the electric user groaned.

"Jeez, you'll think it'll kill the guy to at least try and support the rest of us. But it's all 'silent guy' with him." He complained, as Todoroki was worse than Bakugo, at least he engaged with them, even if only to insult or yell.

"All right, guys! I'm going to add to our wins!" Tetsutetsu jumped to his feet, slamming a fist into his palm.

"That's the spirit, buddy, make the score 3-1 class B!" Tokage gave him a shark tooth grin, one which he returned.

"Tetsutetsu," He looked towards Midoriya, who was also smiling at him, but with a glint in his eye. "But ready to fight me in the next round, otherwise it'll be a repeat of training."

"Ha, this time you don't have Koharu with you! I know your tricks!" Tetsutetsu laughed at the challenge, but he was eager to make up for that fight.

A little while after this, Todoroki left behind his waiting room as he walked towards the field. He knew that he was far from a chipper person like Ashido or Kirishima, seeing himself closer to what Tokoyami or Shoji was like. He just didn't see the need to socialize with the rest when he didn't need to. That said, he was far from in a good mood.

He got in via recommendations, though he would have preferred to use the general exam just to eliminate his father's influence. Still, at least Endeavour had no means to affect their judgment, so his score of being the top person who got in via the process was his and his alone. He proved himself again during Aizawa's quirk assessment test, placing second to Yaoyorozu which made sense, as while his ice was far stronger than anything she could make, her quirk was much more versatile.

He then proved himself again in their first hero class, easily defeating Hagakure and Ojiro, securing the bomb, and doing so without damaging the building. He continued to prove himself even as they got word that their sister class was attacked by villains, though he could do without people assuming he was there just because people got burned-as if he had ever even used his fire before. But then the festival came up, and things hadn't gone anything like his plans.

He had to suffer the fate of 3rd place in the Obstacle race, losing out to Monoma and…Midoriya, he didn't know why, but that pyrokinetic brushed him the wrong way. His flames looked nothing like Endeavour's but they burned, and he didn't like it, a feeling he suspected was mutual as the way Midoriya looked at his ice pissed him off.

He might have taken first in the following event, but he didn't see it was a win-not when they had been blindsided like that and only secured those points thanks to Iida's efforts. 'Things haven't gone according to how I wanted, but I can still recover from this.' He thought to himself, as his next opponent was similar to Kirishima, so it would be easy to handle him, but as he turned the last corner, his sour mood only grew worse when he saw someone waiting for him.

"You in my way." He didn't bother greeting him, and he sure as hell wouldn't give this man even the minimum amount of respect. He didn't deserve it. The man in question was the flame hero: Endeavour, and his father, Enji Todoroki.

He leaned against the wall, glaring at his youngest, displeased with his response but not bothering to correct it. "You're acting disgracefully, Shoto. You must know that." Endeavour told him, straight to business like he always was, no love in his eyes or words for his son, not that Shoto expected such as he ignored his words and walked past him.

"If you had used your flames, you would have been dominating from the start. Instead, you've been shown up twice now. Do you enjoy that?" Endeavour asked him, to which Shoto gritted his teeth and ignored him, not like that stopped him as he continued to press him.

"Well, answer me, boy. You think your childish rebellion will lead you to victory? Go on like that and you'll never follow through with your destiny and surpass All Might." Endeavour added, which broke through Shoto's determination to not engage with his father.

"My destiny? That's what you have to say, you old bastard? To hell with that! I'm going to win this match, I'm going to win this entire festival, and I'll do it with just my ice, you hear me?" He didn't bother looking back, but the man could tell that his son was furious, but also stubborn as the man grunted.

"You might have gotten this far with it, but you'll soon hit your limit. After all, you'll be facing off against someone powerful in the next round." Shoto froze at that, as much like his father, he guessed who would come out on top in the final match of the round. He could already see it, those emerald flames, melting his ice-forcing-

"He'll lose." He silenced the thought and continued, his fury was cold, but it was a familiar feeling, a welcomed one over any heat as he stepped out into the light of day.

" And we're back with the second last match of the round, but make no mistake folks, I have a feeling this one is gonna knock your socks off! Why? Because these two are the ones competing!" Present Mic introduced as the screens switched to show the faces of the next two combatants. On it, Tetsutetsu took a strong stance, his fist held like he was threatening the photographer, whereas Todoroki looked as emotionless as usual, facing the screen without a hint of style or intent.

" We have another clash of the classes as with this one, folks! From class A, he came in 3rd and took first in the calvary battle, he's real strong-almost too strong, from the hero course, Todoroki Shoto!" Midoriya frowned when he looked at the field, as Todoroki had never been a warm person, not even Tsu could say otherwise but he looked…different, like he was angry.

" Versus, from class B! He's manly and passionate steel given human form! The sword that won't dull and shield that won't break, from the hero course, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu!" Tokage cheered along with the rest as Tetsutetsu was as hyped as they were.

Cracking his knuckles, the white-haired boy bounced in place like a boxer. "All right! Another win for class B here we come!"

"You can take him, Tetsutetsu!" Kendo cheered for him.

"Show Mr. Ice that you're steel's gonna smash through whatever he can throw at you!" Midoriya, despite his worries about Todoroki's odd state, felt compelled to cheer for his classmate and friend. He was strong, but more importantly, driven, so he'll find a way to win. Over the all, he heard Mineta scream in pain but didn't bother to find out why.

" And with that, let the seventh match of the sports festival finals…begin!" Present Mic declared as Tetsutetsu shifted his entire body to steel and rushed Todoroki, a fist cocked back to smash through his ice and then knock out the pesky ice user.

"Sorry," Todoroki stated before he stomped his right foot onto the ground. From it, ice rapidly from his right foot, not creeping but shooting across the floor of the arena towards a surprised Tetsutetsu who couldn't even let out a question of what this was before he was consumed by a glacier, one that didn't just stop with him as tons of ice just kept coming, like Todoroki saw him as the Titanic and he the iceberg.

It easily cleared past the boundary line and beyond, when it ceased, its creation had shaken the entire stadium. The result was that the entire stadium had been stunned speechless, Present Mic and Vlad's jaws wide open, the voice hero's glasses ajar, not that he even noticed. They knew that Todoroki was strong, but this was just insane!

Pros even outside the stadium patrolling the grounds like Kamui Woods and Death Arms were just as floored, as they didn't need to look at the massive jumbotron to see the action, for the glacier was so massive that it crested over the roof of the stadium itself, the dozens of icy spears, some as small as an arm and others as large as trucks pierced into the sky, casting a shadow over the two and any that were in proximity to them.

The students were just as stunned, though Midoriya bit back a curse the massive glacier just appearing like magic dropped the ambient temperature considerably, something he was acutely aware of as it felt like needles were piercing his skin for a few moments before it passed. That said, any annoyance he felt at being unwillingly cooled was dwarfed by the same awe and speechlessness that had befallen the rest of class B as none of them, not Tokage, Monoma or Honenuki could say anything about this, what was there to say?

Up till that point, that had some great fights, like Shishida vs Sato, upsets like Monoma vs Shinso, and even some straight bizarre matches like Iida vs Hatsume. But none had done what this match had done, none had managed to silence the entire stadium, from children with their parents to actual pros, all were flabbergasted.

On the field, Todoroki was partially covered in a thin layer of frost, but it hardly seemed to bother him as he let out a chilled, white breath. On the other hand, Tetsutetsu was nearly frozen solid, with just his arm free from the worst of the ice, while the rest of him bar his head was encased in the stuff. Gritting his teeth to braze the fact his steel was freezing, he looked towards his opponent. "W-wh-wha-t t-he hel-l, ma-n? Di-did y-you need tha-t m-much fri-ckin-g i-ce?"

Off to the side, he wasn't the only victim of the attack as Cementoss and Midnight, the teachers in charge of keeping things in control, were both frozen, for Midnight, it was the entire side of her that was facing Todoroki's side of the arena, from her feet to even half her long, shiny hair. For Cementoss, it was the opposite side to him, locking him in place on his seat.

Both teachers looked less than impressed with Todoroki's reckless power move. "Tetsutetsu, can you move?" She asked, already thinking of how she was going to have a nice long conversation with Aizawa about how he teaches his students.

"Ye-yes!" Tetsutetsu yelled as his outreached arm shook, then moved as the ice covering it shattered, and to the surprise of all, especially Todoroki, Tetsutetsu swung his arm down towards himself like a hammer, smashing a good chunk of the ice, allowing him to break free of the prison and land on his knees, shivering a little, his breath visible but he got up with little damage.

Laughing at Todoroki;'s stunned look, Tetsutetsu raised his hands. "Sorry, Todoroki, but my steel won't break just because it's a little cold!"

" A-amazing, despite that overwhelming attack, Tetsutetsu is still in the fight!" Present Mic announced to the awe of the audience, though a section of them couldn't see this thanks to the glacier, which included the hero students.

"He is?" Midoriya asked.

"I can't see anything!" Komori complained.

Back on the field, Tetsutetsu was about to get his payback for that cheap shot, but then he looked to the side and saw the condition Midnight was in, his attack halting as he looked towards her in worry. "Wait, oh crap, Midnight-sensei, are you all right?"

"I am not." She responded, doing her best to not shiver from the cold, Cementoss the king of control as he hardly moved despite being just as frozen as she was.

Tetsutetsu frowned, dropping hostilities as he turned to his foe. He was pissed with him about the clear overkill move, but that could come later. "Todoroki, maybe we should pause the fight."

"What?" Todoroki asked, being just as caught off guard as the rest of the audience.

"I'm pretty sure we should get rid of the ice covering the teachers before they become popsicles," Tetsutetsu replied like it was common sense, and in a way, he wasn't wrong but, in the situation, he was in, to be so candid about it was quite the surprise. Turning his back on his opponent, Tetsutetsu whistled when he saw the scale of the glacier, but that awe was replaced with anger as he turned back again.

"Also, what the hell, man? Be more careful with that ice of yours, you nearly hit the people in the stands!" He yelled, Todoroki grimaced when he looked up and saw that Tetsutetsu was right. He felt like an utter fool, he was angry with his father but that was no excuse for something like this, even Endeavour was known for keeping collateral to a minimum. If those ice spikes had extended just a little further…

"Apologies, that was…excessive, I wasn't thinking straight." He said, not being able to look his opponent in the eye.

"Excessive? This is way past that." Tetsutetsu frowned at him, his opinion of the guy dropping even lower as at first he thought he was just frosty, but this was just childish. Taking a breath, he turned to the side and walked. "But what's done is done, nothing that can change it."

"What are you doing?" Todoroki asked as Tetsutetsu just walked towards the edge of the ring, stopping only to address him.

"Dude, they need to be thawed out like pronto, that's more important than some fight." Again, he replied like it was common sense and Todoroki was the slow one. Tetsutetsu wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, and he knew that that said, he wasn't stupid. He studied like everyone else, tried to keep a cool head when it mattered, and tried his darndest to plan, but it wasn't his strong suit.

Because of that, he preferred simple solutions to problems, which some saw as a detriment to heroes, but the goal of heroes was to help people, and Tetsutetsu embodied that core simplicity, and to him, the choice between Midnight and Cementoss's health and prospect of getting further in the festival wasn't a choice at all, as what kind of hero would ever risk the lives and health of another for their gain?

It was that simple mindset that drove him to jog out of bounds and approach Midnight to start chiseling her out.

"Tetsutetsu has forfeited the match! Todoroki advances! Now someone gets us out of this!" Midnight declared, though no one knew how to handle it as forfeits weren't uncommon, but they typically happened when a foe knew they lost.

" Did I see that right?" Present Mic asked as he knew he said this match would blow people's socks off, but he wasn't expecting to be one of them.

" It's the right decision, though I am surprised that the kid was able to make it so quickly and without hesitation," Vlad commented, his pride for his student's moral character making him especially smug in the booth. He wasn't the only one who thought this as people in the start started nodding and speaking out in his favor.

"It wasn't what I was expecting, but the kid's got a good heart. He'll make an exceptional hero." One of the pros watching smiled.

"That was so chivalrous." Another heroine swooned, as she might have been older and an experienced fighter, but there was always the appeal of a dashing figure like that.

"The kid can turn into steel, so he's got the armor and the heart of an honorable knight." Another laughed, knowing that he was going to make an offer to Tetsutetsu when this was said and done.

"A fine shield to protect people, he's sure to earn their trust in no time flat when he goes pro," Ryukyu commented, her side-kicks agreeing with her on that sentiment. She was pleased that despite the reckless move from Todoroki, that he was the exception-at least in this match. It was good that Midoriya found himself friends with such an outstanding character.

With Tetsutetsu, he approached Midnight, turning his arms to steel up to the elbows. "I'm pretty sure I can chip away at the ice, just tell me if I'm going too hard or deep." Midnight raised an eyebrow at his statement, which took him a couple of seconds to catch what he said as his face broke out in a blush. "You know what I mean!"

"Oh, I do" She purred out a laugh as Tetsutetsu grumbled as he got to work. "But thank you. My costume might have been designed to be all-purpose, but ice baths weren't part of that." She gave him a genuine smile, one he appreciated as he continued to work, first working on getting her leg free by cutting and smashing at the ice.

"No problem, it wouldn't have been right to just do nothing. Heroes help people, right?" He asked, to which she smiled again as she recalled a similar statement said by an old friend. Such a simple response, spoken sans arrogance and with complete honesty. It was just the kind of thing that Shirakumo would have done.

"Still, people call me reckless but I don't go around creating new ice caps, how are we going to get rid of it?" Tetsutetsu asked, Midnight recalling that he wouldn't know, but he would so as he saw steam and heard something melting. Looking to the other side, he saw that Todoroki was tending to Cementoss, but he had merely laid his left hand on the man's frozen side and started melting it like an ice cream cone on a hot summer's day.

"What the hell? When could he do that?" Tetsutetsu asked, wait-if he could do that, why the heck was he only using ice so far? Now that he thought about it, couldn't he have offered to melt the ice sooner? Did he want to win that badly that he didn't? Tetsutetsu didn't know, but he did know one thing.

He really hated Todoroki.

After that debacle as the second last match of the round, the field was left covered in ice which took a while to clear up, even with the newly freed Cementoss to assist in things. All the while, people continued to talk about the results of the match. Safe to say, that despite his forfeit, Tetsutetsu was a crowd favorite with some asking if he could be allowed to participate since his match was so irregular.

Class B was with their guy all the while, angry that he was all but cheated out of a win because Todoroki went overboard, but he proved he was the better man through it all and Monoma was making them very loudly known till Kendo chopped his neck and pulled him back, though Yaoyorozu and Iida did have to apologize for their classmate's excessive use of force and from what they could tell, lack of care for what he did.

Midoriya had been absent for most of it, as he had left to prepare, and get away from the stupid iceberg right in their face once Tetsutetsu had surrendered. Because of that, he wasn't around to greet Tetsutetsu when he made it back to their seating, though the rest were more than ready to make up for it.

"Tetsutetsu!" Tsunotori all but jumped him, latching onto his side.

"Hey, man, you did great out there, really made us proud!" Tokage was just as eager to greet him, having detached her torso to help Tsunotori pull him into their booth.

"I didn't take the win," Tetsutetsu stated, as he felt a little dejected about that.

"Oh, who cares about that? Todoroki was way out of line there." Awase waved that off, Kaibara, Yanagi, and Tsuburaba nodding with him.

"You might be steel, but you got a heart of gold," Shishida told him, which made him smile as this right here, was why he loved being in class B.

"It's unfortunate that you won't have more showings, but you're spirit shined through for all to see. I'm sure that you'll be rewarded for such." Shiozaki clasped her hands together, and once more, a strange beam of light hit her. Tetsutetsu decided that this time around, he wouldn't ask how she did that.

While class B was much in a joyous mood, despite their loss, class A was feeling the pressure as sure, they got the win but it was one that only Bakugo seemed to like. Todoroki remained gone, which they suspected was a choice on his part to let them cool off as some would have choice words for him after that, Tsu having had to hug Jiro and Sato for warmth thanks to that glacier having dropped the temperate so much.

"Dang it" Kaminari slumped in his seat.

"I gotta crazy feeling that Todoroki's the type that wipes the entire map when he plays online," Ashido stated as their win tasted as bitter.

"Well, it's Kirishima next, and no-ones more honorable than he is." Hagakure reminded them, as Kirishima had been quite passionate about his intentions to have a fair match when he left.

"It would be nice to have a win that feels good." Sero smiled, before turning his attention to the field right as the bonfires came to life.

" Sorry about the delay folks, but the field's been cleared so it's time for the final match of the first round!" Present Mic hyped up the audience as the two fighters made their way onto the field.

" It's another class of the classes, but let's hope this one has a much more exciting blood-pumping match, yeah?" Present Mic really hoped that would happen, as it wouldn't be so easily brushed aside if Midoriya decided to bathe the field in flames.

Trying to focus on the positive, and trust that Midoriya wouldn't much such a foolish mistake. " From class A, he came in second in both the obstacle race and Calvary battle, he's a lover of all things fire, from the hero course, it's Midoriya Izuku!"

"Does he really need to remind people I couldn't take the gold sooner?" Midoriya's shoulders slumped.

" Versus-He's manly and passionate hardening given human form! The sword that won't dull and shield that won't break, from the hero course, Kirishima Ejiro!" As Present Mic introduced him, he had been cracking his knuckles but now clenched his fist.

"Oh come on, he didn't even change out intros!" Kirishima cried, equally as despondent as Midoriya in the moment.

"Hello!" Kirishima looked up to see Midoriya having recovered from that emotional damage. What he didn't know was that Midoriya was focusing solely on him to avoid the worst of his stage fright. "I'm sorry, but I'm in a bit of a bad mood, Tetsutetsu's my friend, and he was kinda stiffed in that last match."

"Hey man, you ain't gonna hear any argument from me. That was totally unmanly of Todoroki." Kirishima shook his head at that.

"Good we agree on that," Midoriya let out a heated breath, steam bleeding through his lips and curling around his smile. "Just be prepared to lose."

"Those are fighting words," Kirishima started before his entire body hardened as he smashed his fists together. "I like it!"

" Now let the final match of the round start!" With that call from Present Mic, Kirishima charged Midoriya, just like Tetsutetsu had tried to do against Todoroki, with Midoriya wondering if they were related with such a move, but that was for later as he brought up his arms in a classic x block. Kirishima's punch struck it, and Midoriya winced a little as he jumped back, the force of the blow aiding him.

Kirishima narrowed his eyes, as he was sure that blow cracked something, and it wasn't his hardened fist. Midoriya's forearms were steaming, but he didn't seem to be in pain, so he guessed it was probably something to do with his quirk. Midoriya for his part, analysed what just happened. He had boosted himself, yet Kirishima's hit still hurt him.

'Present Mic wasn't kidding when he called him a sword that won't dull, he's just as strong as Tetsutetsu.' He thought to himself, as he increased his steam output, steam escaping through his lips and nose like with a whistle. Using his increased speed, he rushed Kirishima, who was caught off guard by the surprise burst in speed, but he recovered quickly.

But not quick enough as he wasn't like Tetsutetsu, he hadn't faced him before and couldn't have known how he fought as Midoriya didn't kick or punch out at him, instead he lunged forward till he was right in Kirishima's face, gawked at how happy Midoriya seemed before his mouth opened, and from it a blast of emerald flames crashed into him.

Kirishima instinctively closed his eyes as he reached for his face to wipe away the flames, though they didn't do anything thanks to his quirk. That reaction, one that even now, Midoriya couldn't quite understand, gave him a window as he struck at Kirishima's chest with a heavy blow, his knuckles cracked, but he managed to knock Kirishima back a couple of feet.

Knuckles already halfway healed, he continued to pummel Kirishima, using his speed advantage to dance around the slower Kirishima. Midoriya's movements were much more fluid and precise thanks to all the time he spent training with Hado, Togata, and Tamaki. That said, while he was healing at a rapid pace, the speed of his attacks and the sheer durability of Kirishima's body meant that he was breaking knuckles and fingers on the regular, something that Kirishima could hear each time a bone popped or a broke.

"Dude, are you good?" Kirishima asked when Midoriya finally broke away from him, Kirishima showed some signs of damage, but it was nothing to what Midoriya's fists were like, as the steam hid most of it, but damn were his fingers mangled and bent in all kinds of unnatural ways.

"Of course I am, and this is fun, but you're going to need to do more than just take a beating if you want to win!" Midoriya laughed, his fingers snapping back into place, the pain hardly an issue when he could feel the soothing sensation of the flames melting and burning flesh and bone back into prime working order.

Kirishima followed the advice as the two rushed on one another again, but Midoriya wasn't going to try and out-muscle him, he wasn't strong enough when he was merely boosting his flesh, but he could use Kirishima's strength against him. As Kirishima closed in on him, Midoriya went low and grabbed him, gripping at his shoulder and shirt, he tossed him into the air.

"What the heck?" Kirishima yelled as he looked down, seeing Midoriya's jaw was already opened. "Crap!" He cursed as a fireball crashed into him, sending him even higher. One that was joined by another, and then a third. The triple combo sent him pretty high into the air, but gravity soon took its hold as he started to fall.

Keeping his quirk active, he could only brace for impact as he crashed into the arena like a dropped wrecking ball. Cratering the concrete on effects. Coughing to clear his lungs, he got up and flinched, his limit approaching from keeping his quirk active across his entire body for so long.

"Interesting." Through the dust of his landing, he saw Midoriya approaching him, his emerald eyes glowing brightly. "Unlike Tetsutetsu, you aren't getting banged up, but I can tell that you're getting tired. Does your quirk rely on stamina instead?" He asked as that would make him similar to Hado-sempai, but she had much…much more stamina than this.

"Let's just get back to fighting, and no more juggling!" Kirishima yelled as he pulled himself out and charged him Midoriya. Midoriya went low again, but this time twisted his body around, bringing up his foot to kick Kirishima right in his hardened jaw, knocking him off his feet as he fell back, but quickly recovered, rolling with the force and getting back on his feet.

"Let's see how much you have left in the tank," Midoriya took a breath, fuelling the inferno that forever raged within his heart before he expelled the attack. " Serpent's Fire Scales!" He fired off a massive fireball, but it exploded mid-flight, transforming into over a dozen smaller attacks that flew around Kirishima, trapping him in a cage of fire.

Looking at his opponent, he saw Midoriya standing with his hand outreached to him, his hand opened before he clasped it shut, with that-the fireballs struck home, hitting Kirishima from numerous angles, each exploding on impact and dazing him, leaving him consumed in emerald flames and smoke.

Midoriya didn't leave it to chance, even as the crowds were awed by the majesty that was fire, he had to be sure he would win. Now, while he fed the flames of his heart, he didn't create more flames, but steam, funneling it to his right arm, drastically increasing the power of the limb, even as he cooked muscle and burst blood vessels, it healed just as fast as he broke so he didn't mind.

Before the smoke of his attack had even had the chance to dissipate, he rushed into it. His fist cocked back. Kirishima only saw his emerald eyes through the smoke, bright in joy before the attack hit. " Geyer Propulsion Fist!" Midoriya drove his fist into Kirishima's chest, knocking whatever he still had left right out of him and sending him flying out of the smoke where he crashed onto the floor.

When the smoke finally cleared, Midoriya alone stood, while Kirishima down for the count. "Kirishima has been rendered unconscious!" Midnight declared, before throwing her hand towards Midoriya who was taking a calming breath, feeling the soothing burn recede. "Midoriya proceeds to the next round."

And we're done! That was a bit of a drag, not because it wasn't fun but because I wrote 2 different situations for the Tetsu vs Shoto fight, and had some other people look over them before deciding on which to pick. But what was picked wasn't bad, as it does help me make class B look good, and the best part was that it was entirely within character for both of them, Todoroki at this point was a real prick, a lot more like his dear old pops then he would ever like to be. Meanwhile, Tetsutetsu is like a grass-fed ox, dependable, honest, and simple.
