A Very Strange Start

"What the heck happened?" Such a question was asked by a boy.
Said boy was apparently 16 years old. He was dressed in a black T-shirt with short sleeves, dark blue pants with a brown belt and black shoes with white socks. His hair was black and his eyes were brown.
"It's is strange," the boy said.
He had woken up inside a mansion, and looking out of the mansion's windows, the boy could see that he was on an island or something, as he could see the sea.
"As strange as all this is, I don't dislike it that much," the boy said to himself.
By the way, now that he realized it, he couldn't remember his name; no matter how hard he concentrated he couldn't remember it.
Oddly enough.
At that moment the boy stopped to think about things, he had woken up in a mansion, on an island, with another appearance and he didn't remember his name.
It seemed to him that he had heard of something similar before, and that was when he understood the matter.
"It can't be…" the boy muttered, "don't tell me I'm in a Waifu Catalog reincarnation story."
Yes, all this pointed to the fact that I was in that kind of situation, an adventure through different universes of series, movies, games, comics, manga, novels, and others, to play the hero or villain while getting a harem of beautiful women.
After finishing processing all the information, the boy couldn't help but let a smile spread across his face. The opportunity to go through the multiverse, to do what you want and in the process form a harem.
An attractive idea, indeed.
"Sounds good enough to say no, though I highly doubt I can say no at this point," the boy said as he thought a little more about the situation.
Remembering several stories, I had read, there were stories where the protagonist played the hero helping others, others where he played the villain enslaving any girl for pure pleasure and nothing more, and other unusual ones where the protagonist was minded in that situation unwillingly (similar to what happened to him at the moment). They try to make life comfortable and smooth for their harem, even finding a way to free them if they wish.
In that, he realized something, the Waifu Catalog, if he remembered correctly, gave you options, start with a harem already formed depending on the starting points, or it could start without anyone accompanying you so that you could form your harem through captures.
In that he also remembered something, the users of the Catalog were given a telephone or something similar, to manage all their acquisitions and skills.
Where was his?
He would look for it later; now, he had to explore the place.
After taking a short walk to find the main door, the boy was finally able to go outside and see the island. It was basically what he could expect from an island, some stereotypical flora, and on the shore a beach of a size not unlike a normal beach. But, all of that could be made bigger by buying expansions with credits, but he didn't have the phone to see it.
It was about time to look for it.
"Where's the phone?" the boy asked, reaching into his pockets for his phone, but there was nothing.
Following logic, the boy should already have the phone, since he was on the island with his mansion. But the phone was nowhere to be found.
Why would it be?
Sitting on a rock near the beach, he began to look at the sea, reflecting on why everything was that way, as much as he thought, he did not understand it. It just didn't make sense.
Snorting in frustration, he could only resign himself to sitting there, because whatever he was given to manage the Catalog was nowhere to be found.
"This is weird and I have no idea how this Waifu Catalog thing works," the boy said as he rubbed his hand over his face.
Either he figured this out now, or he'd hang around for who knows how long.
Turning over his shoulder, he glanced at the mansion in the distance.
It was quite pretty from the outside, too bad with everything that was going on, I couldn't give it a good look.
And there was still the fact that he couldn't remember his name. He remembered things about his life before all this, but not his name.
Amnesia? It works strangely, being able to forget things from day to day, but remembering others, the boy thought.
"Why can't I remember my name, I can even remember my parents' names," the boy said and paused as he realized something important. What would happen to his parents when they found out he was gone, they would probably think he ran away or was kidnapped, which in all fairness, it seems the latter did happen to some extent.
The boy clutched his hair in frustration as he took short breaths to calm down.
Going into crisis now would not help you solve this problem.
After calming down he began to concentrate again to try to remember his name, but he was unsuccessful, so he tried again, obtaining the same result.
It was already clear that it was not going to come to anything.
"WHY THE HELL CAN'T I REMEMBER MY NAME?!" the boy shouted, fed up with the problem.
Having finished screaming, he began to take slow breaths again to calm down and think clearly.
The forgotten name and the missing phone were giving he was having a hard time, before even starting his journey in this weird story.
He could not believe it.
"This couldn't get any weirder", the boy said, hugging his legs and putting his chin on his knees.
At that, out of nowhere a blue text box appeared in front of him with a word.
[Hello.]
"Ahh!" the boy exclaimed, giving a small jump of fright. "What is this?"
Then another painting came out.
[Welcome user, you have been chosen to be a contractor of The Company, whose real name is unpronounceable, due to certain bugs in the System, which by the way are already partly fixed, you may have already started and you may also have amnesia.]
"Well, I have a Gamer System that explains everything," the boy mention as he continued to read the text box.
By the way, unpronounceable name, was The Company a Lovecraftian being?

"As if I could," the boy said.
Now that it was resolved, what name could it be given?
After thinking about it for a bit, he decided on one that came to mind at that moment.

After reading, the boy saw that above the [Status] box, there was a section that said [Chests]. So, he selected it, being taken to said section, where there were four spaces, the first one had a wooden chest with a metal lock and the other three were empty.
He 'clicked' the chest causing it to move a little, and then open. And a little flash, appreciate the phone, which fell into the hands of Joseph.
The phone in question didn't seem like much. It looked like an ordinary Smartphone.

Turning on the phone, Joseph began to check, seeing that he had 55 credits available. Although, I knew that due to a mistake it had started before time, so I might have had a slightly done build.
And just as I suspected, it had Drop-In as its Origin selection, the option that I would choose without hesitation. It also had the Company Stamp that comes by default as a binding; he saw that certain improvements could be purchased for the bindings. There was rune jewelry, hypnosis apps, and even symbiotes.
He wasn't going to buy them. He didn't understand the first one well, the second, although it didn't cost anything, he wasn't very attracted to it, and the third seemed disgusting.
As Lures, he bought Sticky Fingers and Alluring Whisper.
Now with Heritage, to be honest, being a dragon sounded great, but I wanted something different for him. Besides, he only had 30 credits left.
Talents & Perks, he could not buy much because of his remaining credits.
By the way, now that he had a good look at it, the Catalog had Pocket Space and Pocket Apartment available for purchase, when you should already have them along with Sweet Home, Grand Manor, and Life's a Beach.
Aren't the bugs fixed?
"It would be better if I say goodbye to the mansion and the beach until I have points to recover them," Joseph would say with a sigh.
He had lost before he started.
But this is no time for regrets.
In the end, he had only 5 credits left. Should he start now?

Looking at the top of the interface, he saw that at the very beginning there was a section called World, which was to choose the world to start with.
Hadn't he chosen the world?
No, he hadn't.
No wonder he didn't have many credits.
"I'm an idiot," Joseph said, passing his right hand over his face.
Well, leaving that aside, which world would he go to?
Noticing that there was a search engine, he decided to go search for a world that he had in mind since he received the phone.

Yes, if I was going to start a journey with Gamer System and Waifu Catalog, he would start it in a world that he know a lot about. Besides that, it made him very excited.
"Wow, now I have 1490 credits!" Joseph exclaimed with a smile.
Now he didn't have to worry so much about it before.
He bought: Alluring Whisper: Siren's Song (that Performance Talent gave him for free), Sweet Home, Grand Manor, Life's A Beach, and Stay in Touch to have internet in the manor. Joseph could now take a breather.
As Talents, Body Talent, Everlasting Talent, Psychic Talent, Communication Talent, Soul Talent, Martial Talent and Wild Talent were bought.
He had 1290 credits left. For what he bought Body Defense, Mind Defense, Wild Defense, Possession Defense, Destiny Defense, Fatality Defense, Paradox Defense, Stress Defense and Soul Defense.
Sexual Calibration to keep women comfortable, along with Fertility Calibration I.
"This is enough for me," Joseph said.
He would not buy starting waifus, since he wanted to get them on his journey.
There were 1061 credits left over, but he would see in the future what to spend it on.
So, he hit 'Finish Build.'

Interesting, Joseph thought. Those were the races you chose in the Xenoverse, and each had its advantages and disadvantages.
But he chose Saiyan. He was really looking forward to being one, for the transformations more than anything else.
The only thing that could be a problem would be the big appetite they have, but he could get used to it or he could solve it with something else.

Well folks, welcome this idea I've had for a few days. After reading a few stories of this type, I was encouraged to make my own, more than anything, to be able to bring my version to life.
I want to see how far he can go with this.
I also wanted to add something extra and thought what if I do it with a Gamer System?
As I was writing I realize that it can be complicated to combine both. At least thanks to that I was able to make that crazy start.
As I said, I'm a newbie at this, so I'm open to advise on how to improve this.
Apologies if you are bothered by the fact that Joseph is having a good time doing his build.
I wanted to be a bit specific with that part.
