Here it is, enjoy!

X watched the Professor toil away with his little science experiment, a look of intense concentration on his face. So far, the Professor stubbornly protected his secrets even from X, often refusing to even write down key portions so X could not copy them. Likely born out of a mix of general suspicion and stubborn pride in his work. After all, in many ways this was just as much his child as the one in an induced coma at the warehouse.

X would gather what pieces he could, but it wasn't too important. The Professor was valuable, and still worth keeping around. Besides, his mad science was the most fun X had had in years.

X heard footsteps, of a regularity and professionalism that could only be from his personal associates. One of them entered.

"Sir," his associate said.

"Does the old man want an update?"

"Yes."

"Tell him the situation is proceeding as normal. I have some important field work, but I'll give him a more detailed report on my return."

This shouldn't take more than an hour. The old man understood the rigors of field work. Even if he did suspect X also used that as an excuse to go incommunicado, as long as X didn't push the bounds he should be able to get away with it.

Half an hour later

"Perfect," Mifune said as they loaded the machine off the truck. They had met the Red Bamboo behind a near deserted building, wearing disguises in case a camera captured them. X did not bother with such caution, only saying he'd be impressed if someone recognized him.

Mifune watched X show the Red Bamboo how to operate the transmitter, arm it, then help them safely load it into their truck.

X said, "Perfect. Move it where you want, leave some guys to operate it, and just press the button. It should go off without a hitch."

"Thank you," the Red Bamboo operative said. "We would prefer it if you operated it yourselves."

"That won't be-"

All the men around them activated their quirks.

"I'm afraid that wasn't a request."

Mifune was about to snarl an insult, but X gave him a look. Mifune growled but put his hands up. X meanwhile smirked as he fixed the operative with an unblinking stare. "Alright tough guy, what do you want?"

"At this moment, we only want you to operate this machine. We'll discuss any further requests after."

So, they would either become slaves to the Red Bamboo, or bounties to be handed to the MLA. X and Mifune exchanged looks. "Very well," X said.

They could bide their time. After all, they still had a few tricks up their sleeve.

Uravity jetted across the rooftops, with Eri following. Eri thought her training with Dad prepared her for traveling by roof, but that was nothing compared to this! Using her Capture Weapon and overall athleticism, Eri sprinted and swung along the roofs in a desperate attempt to keep up with Uravity. Uravity meanwhile didn't even seem to be trying that hard!

Despite the difficulty, Eri had to admit that this was exhilarating. She once even did a full front flip over the gap between buildings, showing off in her euphoria. Uravity gave her a thumb's up, embarrassing her slightly. Ironically, the cheering from below didn't fluster her at all. Perks of having performed with a band.

So far, they hadn't encountered any Villains, beyond Mount Lady taking care of a small gang a few minutes earlier. However, Uravity and Eri then got a notification of a smash and grab in progress nearby. Uravity looked to Eri. "You up for this?"

Eri nodded.

"Great, then hold on."

Uravity pulled Eri onto her back and took off using her jets and grapplers. Eri used her Capture Weapon to cling to her mentor. Uravity pointed. Eri saw them. "Three of them," she said. "One seems to have a magnet quirk. The other two have heteromorphic appearances and Support tech." One looked like a lion, the other a wolf.

"Good eye," Uravity said. "Hang on."

"What are you going to-" Eri yelped as Uravity dove over the Villains, returned her gravity, and plummeted. Wind whistled past Eri as they flew toward the ground at a speed greater than anything she let herself fall at using her Capture Weapon. As they got close, Uravity flipped herself around, pointing her feet at one of the thugs, while positioning Eri to attack another t. Uravity slapped Eri, taking her gravity away. Eri latched onto the outside of a nearby furniture store as Uravity in quick succession both returned Eri's gravity and took her own away.

Uravity briefly slowed, but pressed her fingers together before she could stop. "KT impact!" At her shout, the Magnet Villain looked up just in time to see Uravity plummet the last two meters and slam her boot into his face.

Uravity vaulted off the Villain, using her grappler to hook onto a building and swing into the Lion Villain. She kicked the Lion Villain in the face and chest before somersaulting backwards. Using his magnet quirk, the magnet Villain raised a car high. However, before he could attack, Eri swung down, landing on his back and punching him in the temple.

The Magnet Villain howled, then thrashed wildly to shake Eri off. He picked up the nearby cars. Eri clung to him, dimly aware of the chunks of metal flying past her. She tried erasing his quirk, but it was too difficult to focus. Eri felt a piece of metal grazing her back and realized this wasn't working. She grabbed the Magnet Villain by the throat and tried to use a blood choke while also wrapping up one of his arms with her Capture Weapon.

Unfortunately, the Villain just kept thrashing, with no sign of her hold working. Eri let go with one hand, swinging around the Villain's front so she could wrap her capture weapon around his other arm, tangling him.

Eri leaped off, using her weight to pull the Villain off his feet. She rushed him, disentangling her Capture Weapon as she kicked him in the face. He fell motionless to the ground. She then turned and ran at the Lion Villain. She slid under his slash, wrapping her Capture Weapon around his arm. A viscous oil-like material emerged from his Support Gear, covering his entire body creating a tar-like shield.

Eri grimaced. She couldn't erase a quirk when said quirk covered his body like that. She readied her Capture Weapon, but before she could do anything, Uravity pounced at the Villain from behind. Eri was about to help when a thick arm wrapped around her neck, cutting off her air.

Eri struggled, trying to take a breath. She felt the Wolf Villain's breath on her hair. She threw up her capture weapon, distracting the Wolf. Eri folded her hands and swung them upwards in a haymaker, slamming them into the villain's nose.

The villain howled in pain and tossed Eri adie. As she flew, Eri lashed out with her Capture Weapon to grab something. Something brushed Eri's thigh, just before she found herself stopping mid-air. Uravity. Eri reoriented herself just in time to have her gravity returned.

Eri dropped to the ground and sprinted forward. Uravity was now trading blows with the Wolf Villain, using a manhole cover as a shield. However, the Lion Villain was coming from behind.

"Springboard!" Eri said. Uravity backed away from the Wolf Villain, noticed the other one, then got low to the ground. Eri leaped onto the manhole cover, letting Ochako push her up so she could leap over the second Villain's head. Eri's Capture Weapon, lashed out, entangling him. Eri landed, then kicked his leg out. The Wolf Villain got an arm free of the capture weapon and slashed at her, his claw covered in a metallic glove. Eri barely dodged. She punched him in the face before grabbing the back of his head and slamming it into her knee.

Eri then turned and saw Uravity slamming the Wolf Villain into the ground using her quirk. Eri rushed over to be ready if he tried anything.

Unfortunately, the villain then activated the wrist gauntlet he was wearing, which sent a spray into Uravity's face. Uravity screeched, taking a floating leap away as she rubbed her eyes. "Pepper spray!"

Pepper spray? Eri reached down to her neck and pulled up the translucent goggles she'd been hiding in her Capture Weapon. She put them on, then ran at the villain. She slid under his backhand and kicked out his knee. The villain buckled, but didn't fall. Eri rolled away from his second strike. Skilled, but sloppy.

She got up, wrapping her Capture Weapon around his arm. He wrapped his arm further around it and yanked her toward him, raising his claws to impale her. Eri leaped up at the last second ( never more grateful for Dad's training), bracing a hand on the villain's wrist to control her jump. She avoided the claws, then kicked off the villain, landing in a roll. The villain sprayed pepper spray into her face. It covered her goggles, but nothing more.

However, in the moment the spray covered her goggles, the Wolf Villains swung his claws at her. Eri leaped back in the nick of time. As she braced herself to attack him again, she heard "Zero Satellites!"

Uravity charged, carrying furniture from the nearby store on the ends of a dozen grapple weirs. Uravity bombarded the Villain, sending him to his knees. Both were about to finish him when a series of explosions approached.

Dynamight slammed into the Villain's back, setting off an explosion that sent him to the ground. Eri winced, then walked over and examined the villain. Burned, but he should recover.

"Dammit, too late," Dynamight said.

He turned to the two Heroines. "Round Face. Unicorn."

"Dynamight," Uravity said. "Thanks for the help."

"You already had him," Dynamight said. "That means you get the credit. I just wanted to blast him since I was here." He almost stumbled due to his prosthetic leg, but hid it well enough that only Eri noticed. She wished he'd let her heal it, but apparently he felt he needed it as a lesson after Godzilla.

The three quickly bound up the villains for the police. Dynamite then said, "You speak to Deku recently?"

"Yeah. A week ago. You haven't?"

"Not in a while. We may be reconciled, but we're not close. We don't have much in common anymore."

Ochako nodded, understanding.

"You training Unicorn?"

"If you mean Eri, then yeah," Uravity said.

"If she gives you trouble, bribe her with apples. That always worked when Shitty Hair and Aizawa tried it."

"Hey!" Eri said.

Uravity held back a laugh. "I'll keep that in mind." She then turned to Eri. "Well done. A bit rough in a few spots, but easily where I can expect a Third Year to be. Especially one whose expertise is Rescue and First Aid."

Eri shuffled. "No Hero is a one-trick pony," she recited.

Uravity opened her mouth to speak when Dynamight cried out. "Hey!"

Uravity and Eri turned to the Villains. Their support Gear had disintegrated into dust. "What the-"

"This shit," Dynamight said. "Some high end stuff on the black market does that. It's an advanced bit of tech to keep it, and its maker, from getting caught."

"Who builds it?" Ochako said.

He grit his teeth. "No idea. It ain't common, and we haven't caught anyone who installs it in ten years." He stood up. "You take Unicorn and keep training, I'll handle these assholes until the police come."

The two nodded. Eri then said, "Say hi to Kirishima when you see him next."

"Tell him yourself!" He paused, like he was remembering he was supposed to be nice. "I mean fine I will."

"Alright, I will too! Goodbye!"

Eri and Ochako swung away. The rest of their patrol was rather boring, with the worst crime they found being jaywalking. However, by the end of it, Uravity turned to Eri and said, "Well done Eri."

Eri beamed with pride.

Yuu arrived back at her apartment, feeling tired but satisfied. Another long day of Hero work over. She walked toward the training room and saw the leafy head of Shinji. Getting closer she saw him speaking with Mikumo.

"Widen your stance. Put a little more power into your attack. Yes, perfect," Shinji said as Mikumo got into a stance and struck as instructed.

After Tokyo, Yui had insisted that her parents teach little Mikumo to fight. After all, if he wanted to be a Quirkless Hero he had to be able to fight well. Shinji and Yuu were both well-trained and had already been teaching their daughter, so why not teach him too? Fortunately, he picked things up quickly and was borderline fanatical about learning.

Shinji backed away and glanced at Yui, who was lying lazily in the corner. "Alright, now let's see you put both show what you've learned."

Yui leapt to her feet and walked right up in front of Mikumo. The two stared at each other, Yui cocky, Mikumo determined. The two began to spar. It was a light spar, plenty of opportunity to test new skills, little risk of injury if they failed. Yuu took note of how much Mikumo's fighting had improved in the last eight months. Yui was still better, but Mikumo made up for it with scrappiness and, frankly, ferocity. Honestly, Yuu sometimes half expected him to bite someone to win.

Eventually, Yui managed to (barely) overpower him, wrestling him to the ground. Yuu smiled. It seemed Yui was still slightly stronger.

"That was fun…" she said, rolling off him.

Mikumo grumbled something from next to her.

"Aww, don't be like that. I'm sure you'll win next time. Besides, even if I still stay better, you can use the zappy thing when we're Heroes."

Mikumo elbowed her, flicking his head toward the parents. Yuu narrowed her eyes and made a mental note to inquire about the "zappy thing" sometime in the future. "How was your kids' day?"

"Fine," Yui said. "We came back from the park an hour ago."

"I figured," Yuu said, eyeing the grass stains on her daughter's knees. "What'd you kids do?"

"Heroes vs Villains or monsters."

"I was one of the villains," said Mikumo. "They said Spikedeath was too violent of a villain name, so I just went with Yamikumo."

Yuu bit her lip to avoid laughing. That boy's attempts to be edgy were downright adorable.

Mikumo got to his feet, helping Yui. "After that some of the kids had a debate on which Heroes were the prettiest. Yui made me join."

"Oh?" Yuu said. "I bet I know who you two picked." She tossed back her hair.

"Uravity."

"Creati."

Yuu's smirk vanished. "Ok, but who next?"

"Battle Fist."

"Intelli. But the other girls said boys could be pretty too, so I said Grand." Yui said. She then added, "They preferred Illuso-Camie and Shoto."

Yuu's eye twitched. "And neither of you mentioned me?!"

The two looked at each other, then at her. "You're her/my mom."

Yuu sighed. "Fair enough." Even if her days as Japan's Hero world's hearthrob weren't over, to these kids she was just "the mom." Oh well, there are worse things to be.

"Does it make you feel better if we said you were cool?" said Mikumo.

"It does." She said. "But say Kamui Woods is cooler and I send him to the couch."

"But I didn't do anything!" said Shinji. Yuu just smiled at him.

Mikumo raised his hand. "Also me and one of the other boys got into a debate about the rules of the game. We had a battle of honor."

Yui looked at him. "You wrestled each other in the mud."

"Exactly."

"Remind me not to let you handle our agency's PR when we grow up."

"That stuff's boring. I wanna make the Support gear and weapons! Those'll take down anything."

"And if they don't?"

"Punch'em in the face?"

"That works for me!" She held out her first. He bumped it. Then the two began apparently trying to see who could push each other's fist harder.

Yuu smiled and shook her head at the two's antics. "They are so cute together," she muttered, putting a hand on her cheek.

Shinji gave her a look. "Are you already planning to set up our daughter with her best friend?"

Yuu grinned. "Whaat? It would be nice if she got together with a sweet boy who just looks like a bad boy instead of a real one. Trust me, my taste in boys was atrocious…"

"I'm well aware."

She gave him a look. "Coming from the last boy I picked."

"I know."

She smirked. "Touche." She then turned back to the kids. "Mikumo, it's getting late. You should go back before your father gets worried. And Yui, you still need to pack your things for the trip to the grandparents at Endoor.

"Awww…" the two kids said in unison. However, they bid their goodbyes and left. When all was said and done, Yuu and Shinji sat on the couch, quietly resting after a long day. It would be nice to take a trip out to the country. These days they needed all the rest they could get.

"Sir, we have possible Gargantua sighting, twenty kilos west of Endoor."

"Prepare the nearest groups for a possible destroy mission."

Garaki turned to his assistant. "Send our people to Endoor. We must gather our materials from there and destroy it."

"We intercepted an AMF communication of Baragon being near there sir," his pale assistant said. "It may also mean additional Heroes."

"Very well. You can take backup. I do believe our general needs a test run." Garaki walked over to the control panel next to the sleeping giant and pressed a button. "Gigantomachia. Awaken."

I felt some superhero action was needed in this story, hence this chapter.

Poor Mt. Lady can't impress anyone in that house (except her husband). Now that I know Kamui Woods's name is canonically Shinji, I have GOT to put in an Eva reference or two…

Oh and as you see, the MLA and AMF are on a collision course.

Hope you enjoyed, reviews make me smile!
