Chapter 89 Alfar Wonder

In the morning Shin was at a forest as he looks around.

"Okay, where are you guys?"

He was sent by the valkyries to check a forest. Theres a bunch of tricksters here that they wanted to find.

Then the nordic alfars came out laughing and he got surprised.

"I have to catch them." he said.

"Go Shin!" kivat said.

He chases after them as Alviss dodges Shin with Mara knocking him down.

"Oh come on!"

The alfars laughed at him as he throws a rock, it hits Ljosalf sending him down.

"Huh?" They looked down.

Shin tries to grab him but the others saved they're friend.

"How am I supposed to get them?" Shin thinks.

Then something clicked.

"To beat a trickster, you gotta think like a wonderlandian." He smiles.

"How would Maddie do it?"

The alfars flew to the other side before a giant tea pot came down surprising them.

The pot then spills it's tea hitting them them back. Shin then comes down wearing his wonderland outfit.

"I got you." He said. "Good thing I learned enough to change back to this outfit."

He's gotta thanks Maddie and the girls of Wonderland to help him with this.

The alfars got up and shook the tea off before Shin then grabs Mara and puts him inside a bag.

They then tried to grab him but Shin dances around like Wonderlandian making the wacky dance confuse them as they couldn't get Shin.

He then jumps to a tree as the alfars chased after Shin, they peeked out of the tree and looked around but couldn't see him.

Ljosalf shrugs as Alviss felt the same way, then the tree they were at fell dragging them down, the alfars then fell inside of a hole that was there and they got trapped with the tree blocking they're path.

They complained as Shin came and sees them down. "It worked."

"Maddie and the others really taught you many tricks." Kivat said.

"Yeah." Shin nodded.

He changed a lot from being with his new friends, he then saw Erda come and she looks down surprised.

"You caught them all? We said just one." She said.

"I know, but I managed to use what I learn from a few friends to help in this." He said.

"I must say it's very impressive." Erda said.

"Thanks." He smiles.

"Also it's a interesting suit your wearing." She checks it.

"Well it's a Wonderland outfit."

"Wonderland?" She heard about that world from books.

"Yeah, a very magical and wonderful world as my friend calls it. It's a world I visited a few times."

He also then remembers Mal and her group as they were also a interesting bunch he had to spend time with.

"Of course theres other special ones too."

"I can see your friends helped you get better in different ways." Erda smiles.

She then senses a presence. "Someone entered our world."

"Where?" Shin asked.

She points to the side.

He rushes to that direction to see what it was. It could be a enemy or worse.

He then stops at a shadow of a mountain that covered the entire area and the moment he came towards he got surprised.

"What?"

Sitting on a rock there was Mona as she looks. "Oh hello Shin."

"Mona?"

It was the same woman he saved a long time ago, the one he rescued.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I don't know, I was just singing back home before I got sent here. Do you know why?" She asked.

"I was here by accident but it might have happened similar way." He said.

"Well... at least i'm with someone I care for, but the fact the sun is up is dangerous." She was nervous.

"Don't worry, i'll keep you company until it sets." He said.

She smiles at his words.

"Wow." They saw Baldur come out. "Your wasting time to take care of this vampire over going back to your training. Your running out of time yet, it's funny you want to waste a day here."

Mona frowns. "I'm not a vampire."

"Sure you aren't darling." He said.

"Also my friends are important, you don't care about it, do you even care about your sisters?" Shin questions him.

Baldur frowns. "I'll hold that tongue if you don't want me to skip the battle sooner." He then leaves.

"Who was that man?" Mona asked.

"Baldur, don't let his words get to you." He said.

Shin knows Mona never got used to the fact she's a vampire so he would wait until she accepts her new life.

He then sits with her as they looked around the scenery.

"It's a nice place." Mona feels relaxed.

"Yeah, just wish you didn't have to appear in the morning."

She then yawns and rests against his shoulder surprising Shin.

"Ummm." he got nervous but held it in.

He looks at Mona and smiles and rubs part of her hair.

"Sleep well Mona."

Shin watches over her and Verdande watches using her vision.

She smiles. "He's got a very kind heart to choose to watch over a friend over the training."

A vampire wouldn't survive alone at the day, so she's glad Shin cares about her safety first.

"We can always do a all nighter, as that can redeem the lost of time he would have today." Verdande said.

She goes off as she's going to warn the valkyries about the change of schedule today. Mona's safety was more important now, as Shin can train at night if need be.

Shin looks at the sun with Mona lying down on his shoulder and he smiles since it was just nice to spend time with a good friend of his despite the battle to come. As it felt like he was back home with the others again.

His friends were the most important thing he could ever ask for.

Note: Heres the alfars and Mona appeared as the halloween chapter took before this arc happened so Shin got to see her again.
