It was about to hit noon, and Kirby and Toon Link were sitting outside the clinic. The bench was white and had some fruits, cookies, crackers, square cheese, and juice packs on the table. Dr. Mario prepared meals and offered them snacks.

They woke up in the morning and enjoyed hot cereals and toast for breakfast. Kirby, on the other hand, he ate half of his food pantry.

The two sat close to the grassy fields where azelea bushes around the curb. Green and lucious, it was pleasant for fresh air. The bench has shades to block the heat from the sun. Dr. Mario insisted for both of them for fresh air and granted them to return after a nice stretch. Giving them an art kit for them to use creativity.

Dr. Mario wanted to keep examining the Hero of Winds status and sign a release if he's ready to go. The cut on Toon Link face is gone, leaving a small faded cut, but his sleeve covers his right bandages.

Kirby and Toon Link was drawing... drawing about which hats to steal. Toon Link can use his left hand to draw really well.

Kirby drew Pac-Man, a blue cicle Sonic, King Dedede, Duck Hunt, Pikachu, Wii-Fit Trainer, Villager, Roy, derpy Robin, Game and Watch, Bowser Jr. with all its siblings, Ryu, and currently drawing Marth.

Toon Link stacked his idea was Wolf, Rosalina and Luma, Pit and Dark Pit, Jigglypuff, Cloud, Lucas, Charizard, Shiek outfit, Greninja, and newcomers. But he had second thought because some are unobtainable outside the tournament.

So his piles of art were stacked with a huge red X for a reason. Kirby really loves his drawing, so he didn't cross them out. He smiled and presented Toon Link as he flipped the paper to him. It was Marth, a black arrow pointed at his tiara.

Toon Link paused his drawing and squinted his eyes briefly. Examining the cute doodles from Kirby, his free hand latched on to his chin as he pondered deeply. It seems easy enough to distract the prince or had to shower, which an opportunity to snatch the tiara. His expression changes as he swapped a clean paper and began drawing his comparison.

He snagged multiple colors, switched to another color, and lastly, a black arrow. He drew Lucina quickly, pointing a mask that Lucina kept with her. He uses his index finger and points at her mask specifically. Maybe a way to convince her with a casual chit-chat and hear her adventures while traveling through time and fighting off Grima.

Kirby eyes lightened in glee that Lucina does have a mask! Maybe the mask can play with 'Borb'! Kirby nodded his entire body in motion, agreeing with the young Hylian.

Toon Link waved to get Kirby attention and pointed out his piles of drawings. Kirby smiled happily, sliding the stack of his unique style of cute doodles to his friend as he scanned the images. Upon inspecting the pictures, moving one to the back, and paused at a certain fighters.

He flipped the neatly papers at Dedede, gesturing his hat would be ideal. Since he wore some warm and royal garments, his hat is fairly accessible to obtain.

Kirby saw Dedede as he drew was his friend, and he was delighted to agree. "Fwend!" Kirby said in his baby language. Kirby applauds and grabs a bundle of red grapes and sucked all of it—even the stem.

Toon Link smiled as he reached his free hand to snag a square salty cracker into his mouth. He also grabbed a fig bar cookie and nibble the crust.

While sorting out Kirby papers, there was a large sound of something, or someone crashed into the bushes. Startled, Kirby quickly glanced to the source as Toon Link slapped his drawings on the table and dropped his half-eaten fig bar in surprise.

"Youchie!" Said a mysterious visitor. "Did you do that on purpose, Lady Palutena?"

A familiar face propelled itself, holding his head with his free hand and other gripping a silver bow. His face frowned, nearly hit the concrete floor, and maybe bust his teeth. Well, luckily, he didn't. The Captain of Palutena's Guard has arrived in a conspicuous way.

His chiton was covered with leaves of azelea, and he growned. "Aw, man! Not my favorite outfit!"

Kirby surprised face and transitioned into a smile, it was his friend! Ever so cheerful, he introduced himself. "Hiiii!" He waved both arms with one blue crayon on his free stub.

Pit turned into the direction and spotted his two favorite people in the universe! He warmly smiled and waved eagarly. "Hey Kirby and uh, Link, right?"

The Hero of Winds gestured a teeny weeny pinch of his hand, referring that he was close. Yes, he's Link, but in this tournament, he was registered as Toon Link. Although, he felt a little more respect, which boasts him.

"Oh! Wait a sec! How silly of me! Toon Link!" Pit readjusted his wording and slammed his ball of fist into his palm. He glanced at Kirby and smiled widely.

"Ohhh emmm geee, it's you! Kirby! It's so nice to see you returned!" He said, stepping close and shrugging off the bushes. He grabbed Kirby stubs and shook them aggressively up and down. He went to Toon Link to grasp his right arm, causing the young Hylian to grind his teeth and eyes shut to conceal his pain. He let go and stood firmly to hold his fist close to his chest.

"I am Pit, servant of the goddess of light!" He said proudly. "Do you remember me?"

The two nodded, Toon Link uses his left arm to tuck his right arm close to his body, nearly hugging himself, swallowing his stinging sensation. Pit looked at them to their platter of snacks. "Hey... Are you two gonna finish that?"

Kirby and Toon Link exchanges glances and look to the snack that Dr. Mario left for them to recess. Toon Link shook his head and slid the platter towards Pit, and the angel looked happy.

"Sweet!" He grabbed crackers, a stack of square cheese, and five fig bars into one hand and stuffed his face.

"Mmm! crunch, mmm! Deeeelish!"

Kirby watched the angel gobble up a handful of snacks, and he decided to inhale the entire tray. He grew really chunky, swell up four times of his size briefly, and spit out the plate. He wanted to be like Pit!

"Haaaah?" Kirby cheerfully said.

"Whoa! Your appetite never ceases to amaze me, Kirby!" Pit said, fist pumping.

Pit noticed some drawings on the table they wrote down their names above the character doodles. "Wow, I can't read, but that's Marth and Lucina!" Despite it actually said Marth and Lucina in a correct way.

Their greet had Pit stop his introduction when he got a message telepathically. "Oh? Lady Palutena!" He turned his back a bit and glanced at the partly cloudy sky. "Sorry! I met some radical friends from another universe!"

Kirby didn't keep his eyes off of Pit laurel crown. His eyes glitter of excitement because of how shiny and pretty it is... It's almost like leaves tied together—Toon Link noticed Kirby couldn't stop staring at his hat. It was gold tied to a wire... and developed a great idea as he gaped his tiny mouth.

The Hero of Winds leaped off the bench chair and rose to Pit and pluck the azelea leaves clinging on to his chiton. Throwing the angel off guard for a young Hylian attempt to dust off his attire.

"Whoa! Startled me, pal." He said, sounded surprised. "Oh, sorry, Lady Palutena, this is Toon Link and Kirby with me! Oh wait, you can see them, right?" He lolled back to the sky.

Once Toon Link got a handful of green leaves from his attire, and the azelea bush, he approached Kirby with a smile. Kirby completely understood his friend's idea, and he looked inside the art kit. There were bendy, fluffy wires with various colors. Kirby used his stubby hand and yank out a yellow one.

Toon Link sat beside Kirby and handcrafted a crown similar to Pit. It wasn't a real deal, but it'll suffice. He tied the end of each leave and bundled them together. Kirby grabbed another yellow wire and handed it to his friend, awed and curiously.

With a finishing touch, he tied loose ends and left the other open as he put it on Kirby like Pit.

Kirby blinked, slightly confused because it wasn't gold like his. Toon Link tackled on a clean paper with scissors to cut out a wing that he analyzes his ability in the tournament. Very small wings, and he carefully cut both of them in equal size paper wings. In his hands, he grabbed tape and the shape paper wings and direct Kirby to turn around by gesturing his hand.

Kirby listened and turned his round pink body to his friend. It was ticklish at first, Kirby giggled. Eventually, the Hero of Winds taped both paper wings onto his back! Now, he looks like Pit!

Kirby hopped on top of the table and cheered as Toon Link got up from his chair to tap on Pit shoulder while he was in the middle of talking to himself or... divinity purposes.

"Got it, I'll be there, Lady Palutena..." Pit trailed off and slowly turned to spot the young kid, who was gesturing behind him.

He turned around, and Toon Link got into position, and both of his arms expansively gestured towards Kirby with a huge smile. He sort of bends his right arm due to bandages that restrict his movement.

"Hhhhhaaaaa haaaaaaaah!" Kirby did a charming dance and said in an adorable language that only a few understood him. He stiffened, raising his stub above his body, on his toe and other kicked back.

Apparently, even stars appeared around him with warm and cuteness.

The cuteness was overwhelming, and Pit gaped widely. Kirby tried to replicate Pit, and it really really hurt his heart of how Kawaii he is. Pit clutched his chest or his heart because he was melted.

"L-Lady Palutena... just look at him! He's so freakishly cute and handsome!" Pit said loudly, throwing his hand at Kirby. His action came to a stop when someone was telling him urgently.

His face grew stern and nodded lucidity. "I'm on my way. But..." He looked at Kirby. "Can I bring him with me?" He smiled awkwardly.

For a moment of silence, the two heroes eyed each other to Pit, curiously wondering his thoughts. Pit fist pumped triumphantly as a response.

"Lady Palutena said you can come with us! She knows you're a capable warrior!" Pit said, sprinting towards the bench to a halt. "Totes, we got to show how good-looking you are!"

He picked up Kirby and lifted him into the air, causing the pink squishy warrior to flail his arms hastily. Either he tried to fly or float like Pit or show some resilient for his reason.

Pit had no idea, so he snuggled Kirby into his arms and summoned a gate to skyward temple right in front of the courtyard. The magical, large, elegant, golden door appeared. Fluffy clouds puffed and can be stepped as a cushion.

Kirby began to whine loudly. Flailing his stubs wildly and smushed his face irated. He uses his stubs to slap the angel guard cradled arm around him. Although, it does no damage because he's so soft and squishy. Kirby frowned, peering his friend was left behind.

Toon Link didn't budge due to his injury and required to stay in the clinic. He expresses a soft smile and a hint of sadness because he understood Kirby didn't want to abandon him. Alas, he didn't want to leave Kirby, too.

And Kirby emotions become a woefully look.

"Huh? Kirby, what's wrong?" Pit said, agast. He wanted to help everyone who are in need. He brought Kirby to his view, observing his stubs pointing at Toon Link.

Pit did a 180 degree on his posture and regard his intrusion. It finally triggers his brain that those two were together before he crash landed their party. Pit demeanor was unexpected and upright.

"Oh... Sorry, Kirby. How foolish of me!" He retraced his steps and snagged the Hero of Winds into his free arm. In surprised, Toon Link flailed and paused. Pit is sure strong despite the armanents he wields.

"Let's visit the Skyward Temple together!" Pit announced, looking delighted as ever. That kindly gesture brought Kirby to a smile, and Toon Link let out a small grin.

Pit dash through flight of transparent stairs and the huge double doors split open slowly, revealing a lobby with spiral stairs. On the second floor, there were multiple rooms for his main journey, practice range, arms alter, weapons, and power. The other section was the vault room and Viridi residence.

He enters the main hallway, the sound of his footsteps, the room natural acoustics to carry the room. He gently placed Kirby and Toon Link down and saw the goddess of light present herself at the center of the room. Pit didn't expect the beautiful goddess to stand before his very eyes around the table.

He went to his knees, Toon Link and Kirby watched the angel movement, and the Hero of Winds copied the angel to one knee, bowing in respect.

"Oh!" The goddess of light spoke up. "Here you are." She noticed two mortal visitors as well. "My, why are you two doing in here?"

Kirby tilted his round sperical body in curiousity, and approached freely towards the lady in glorious green hair. His squishy footsteps caught the two warriors attention.

"Ack! Kirby!"

Kirby small dot of his mouth and blinked at Palutena. Her sharp glare insecting the pink marshmallow, and Kirby smiled. "Hiiii!"

Palutena looked blankly and transitioned into a gentle smile. "Hello to you, too. Are you cosplaying as Pit, I see?"

Pit rose from his pose and approached to stand beside Kirby. "Right? Isn't he so freaking adorable?!"

"Now, now, Pit, focus on the main objective." Palutena sternly replied.

"Aww! We have guests!" Pit whined sheepishly.

Toon Link rose from his knee and slowly strolled towards Kirby, netting the goddess attention. "Hello, Toon Link."

The Hero of Winds completely paused his motion, eyes widened and kneeled again. Despite his right arm, he nearly lost his balance, placing his right palm on the marble floor, lowering his head, bowing in respect. Using his left elbow resting his supportive knee.

Palutena chuckled. "At least he knows how to show a lady some respect."

Pit looked astounded, but Kirby clapped his stubs together. He rushed back to Toon Link and hugged him. Toon Link straightened his back because Kirby may jump on him to lose balance. He was struggling to rise with his only good arm.

Palutena walked elegantly towards the guests and squinted her eyes at Toon Link specifically. Her heels echoed the chamber and paused. Glimpse at the goddess action, Toon Link looked utterly surprised because her gaze was mostly at him. She tilted her head, tilt forward the two heroes to their height, and straightened her back. She flung her gaze at Pit, sounded slightly troubled, and irritated.

"You brought an injured kid here?"

"Huh?" Pit sounded disconcerting. "He is?"

"Yes, didn't you notice the obvious signs of his struggles?" Palutena snapped.

"Uh-n-no. I'm so sorry!" Pit said, yielding his motion and rushing towards the two guests. Before he did, the goddess of light halted his movement by raising her staff.

Palutena went on her one knee and reached out Toon Link right arm, causing the hero in green tunic to wince. She lightly rubbed the hero arm and the gentle glow enamating Toon Link.

Toon Link glanced at the goddess of light. Unknowingly, she has an ability to heal? Kirby stared in awed, hugging his friend for comfort. Suddenly, Toon Link feels much better than before. He felt his energy replenished, and his injury subsided. He was fascinated.

Palutena rose from her prone body and stood high with a smile. "I studied your goddesses that they have an ability to heal a chosen hero who interact the statues."

Toon Link observed his right arm, and he was able to bend his elbows! The stinging sensation disappeared, too! He gasped quietly. Kirby looked really happy. "Hhhhaaaaa!"

"I have an ability to use multiple moves, as well." Palutena began. "Unfortunately, that will be my last. The new tournament has some... 'new affinity' to only limit a few, and custom skillset has been disabled."

Palutena went back to her desk, and Pit looked shocked. The map appeared to view the entire universe. Kirby and Toon Link walked together and spectate their plans.

"It kinda sucks how the new tournament had to execute a lot of our moves!" Pit set a debatable argument, reaching to the other side of the table.

"If there's a tournament to run. Master and Crazy Hands vanished without a trace." Palutena explained, controlling the map by zooming in and out from their last seen.

The word 'Master and Crazy Hands' caught the two heroes' attention as they inspected closely. Kirby looked at Toon Link face, showing determination and seriousness that they were also on high alert of the disappearance.

When they gathered around the table, Palutena noticed that the two warriors from another universe peaked their interest.

"Are you two on a hunt for the game masters disappearance, too?"

Toon Link nodded in serious expression, and Kirby shook his entire body up and down, looking consequential. Toon Link rested his elbows, trying to tip-toe as Kirby followed suit. He was small and grasped the table with two stubs, doing a pull-up. He struggled a bit, but Toon Link uses his right arm wrapped around Kirby's back and propelled him upwards.

"So that makes five of us." An unknown voice perked up through the map.

The three were flabergasted when a new entity added their comment through the table. Palutena, on the other hand, was not entirely surprised by the communication.

Pit was heavily staring at Palutena in shock. "D-don't tell me, Lady Palutena... that you're working with...her?!"

"Aww, you poor, sweet angel. Lucky for you, I can't lay a finger on you for now." It cooed.

"L-Lady Palutena!" Pit sounded frightened and bothered.

"Bayonetta, now's not the time to mess around."

A monitor screen switched to a corner was Bayonetta with her short-hair version. "Dear goddess of light, your little knight can't fly on his own for a certain amount of time."

"Yes," Palutena shot a look at Pit. "You reached your power of flight for today. You have to stay here until further notice."

"That's why you asked for her help?!" Pit gestured his hands at the live image of Umbra Witch ingidnantly.

"I understand your doubt, but we need all the help we can get for Master and Crazy Hands." Palutena directed. "She also witnessed the Hands behave unusually."

Pit growled, feeling unsettling, but his trust for the goddess of light is absolute. He trusted her judgment, and he listened quietly. He tends to have a casual conversation during a serious battle, but without Palutena, he is quiet.

While the two converse, the Witch transfixed her gaze at the two heroes. "Why are those cuties doing in here? They're too young to help us out." She raised her own kid, witnessing another kid on board brought her caring nature out shortly.

All the eyes fell to the two particular fighters, feeling tense, but Kirby was standing on the table, and he looked so happy to see another friend!

"Hiiii!" He waved happily with a genuine smile.

Pit felt the tension was relieved and let out an awkward smile. Palutena giggled as a response. Toon Link expresses a smile because that's Kirby all right.

Bayonetta expresses a blank face. A small huffed escapes her lips, and she proeceed the mission. Slightly touched, but she is aware they have good combat and reputation in their universe. "I already look through dimensions, and there are no signs of them."

"I see, Pit and I sweep through the entire mansion while Dark Pit and Viridi search through other universe." Palutena explained.

"I hope Pittoo is having a good time than dealing with this." Pit mumbled, crossing his chest with his arms.

"Speak up, boy, do you have anything to say for the class?" Bayonetta teased, making Pit startled and jumping backward.

"N-no! I was just commenting that the search is not on our side. We looked for weeks!"

"Hmm..." The goddess of light looked at the cute warriors. "Have you sighted them by a chance?"

Toon Link shook his head, expressing a hopeless look. His brows furrowed close, looking down at the transparent and shiny table showing the entire map of Smash universe.

Kirby had no idea what they're talking about. But he slightly noticed the monitor have images of last seen of Master and Crazy Hands. He saw Toon Link expressing his language, bringing Kirby to agree with his friend. He shook his body left and right, denying there was no clue that was found.

"Then it's a cold case, I'm afraid." Palutena concluded her answer.

"Do not fret, goddess of light." Bayonetta interrupted. "If they are not presented in this universe or the merging fighters' world, then I believe they're in a realm beyond our reach."

Palutena eyes brightened in realization. The knowledge given by the Umbra Witch took a new look through the page as she interpreted her thoughts into verbal speech. "You may be on to something..."

Palutena guided her hands onto the map, sliding through the universe and beyond the stars of the galaxy. The screen displayed the large planet, other possible dimension, and even dared to peek where they trapped Chaos Kin.

"Oh, never in my dying wishes, do you think they're in there?!" Pit sounded afraid by his tone of voice.

"Something did replicate the same behavior when Master and Crazy Hands were controlled by Master Core." Palutena added. "The same as Chaos Kin. But no."

"That little nefarious hideous looking scorpion that took control of you... and you wage war against humanity...?" Pit side-tracted his painful voice from the unforgetful event. "And I was trapped in a ring?"

"Right." Palutena said in a regretful voice. "Then something had controlled the Master and Crazy Hands, again."

"And I got some help with Magnus filling me the details after three years..." Pit slipped the details in honesty.

"You're getting there, goddess of light." Bayonetta said in a cocky tone.

After a fraught experience from the long search to a naught came into the light, then it hit Palutena. She understood the Umbra Witch was cryptic about the missing clues. Her eyes widen in realization.

"A deity that already controls the Master and Crazy Hands power to create a rift that is impossible for us to find." She announced.

"There you go, oh high and mighty gods."

"Hey! Don't disrespect Lady Palutena! It's an entirely new discovery!" Pit defended.

"For your brain to handle such an elaborate puzzle?" Bayonetta roasted Pit as she expresses a smug.

"No, Pit, it's okay, she have a valid reason how it makes the disappearance fairly accurate."

"Then it is the only matter of time when it appeared during this universe." Bayonetta explained.

"So we gotta catch the Master or Crazy Hands tracks, and it could lead us somewhere?" Pit reluctantly agree with Bayonetta and thought of an idea.

Bayonetta nodded, showing skeptical expression. "I highly doubt the others from the multiple universe would be concerned of it. They're distracted at the moment."

"Oh, right..." Pit's voice fainted because everyone was busy meet and greet newcomers and veterans. He glanced at Kirby and Toon Link, who was absorbing all the information, especially the young Hylian.

"Except these two brilliant individuals from another world!" Pit gestured his arms expansively at the warriors.

"Ah, do you think they'll listen to a child and a pinky sweetie who can't speak English?" The Umbra Witch included in a very logical sense.

Pit dropped his arms in disappointment. "Oh, yeah..."

Toon Link frowned, crossing his chest with both arms, infuriated.

"They wouldn't listen to you, anyway, my target."

Pit feels very uncomfortable, slowly backing away from the table.

"I'm kidding, learn how to respect your mum." She sneered.

"Cut it out, you two." Palutena intervened and resumed. "We should keep searching, Pit. We can use a radar to detect a strong power from here."

"I'll keep an eye out through other dimensions, Bayo, out." The communication disperse as the box shrinks to nonexistence.

Palutena sighed. "She's interesting, I would say." She traces herself to the flight of stairs as she looks back to Pit. "Let's search again on the ground."

"Yes, Lady Palutena!" Pit saluted. He glanced at the two warriors, who didn't have any source of divinity. "What about these two?"

"Oh, that's right. They're guests for now. They can stay for a while. The exit is through where they came. Simple enough?" The goddess in green long hair winked at the two, expressing a beautiful smile.

Toon Link nodded, and Kirby looked sad to see another friend had to go away for a secret mission. The goddess of light narrowed her eyes at the duo.

"We'll meet again, I promise."

As the goddess of light vanished through the door, Pit sprinted towards the cute duo, and he looked sincerely. He kneeled in front of them unexpectedly.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't know you're hurt!" He said in an apologetic tone and look.

Toon Link expresses a 'don't worry' look and gestures as he rolled up his right sleeve to unveil his bandage arm. He was aware the bandages were on his shoulder blade and waist as well.

Kirby poked both fighters for comfort, worrying if it bothered them. He looked really sad, he didn't like to see others sad. Toon Link removed the bandages carefully and brought them into the open.

Surprisingly, there were no wounds. They were completely healed. To his astonishment, Palutena really did do her part as a goddess, leaving him baffled.

"Aww yeah! Lady Palutena is so awesome!" He said, trying to brighten their moods. He noticed Kirby eyes were so sweet and innocent to see his friend healed.

Pit begins racing back to folllw the goddess of light heels. Looking back once more at his comrades, he waved to alert his presence. "Call me if you need me!"

The huge gate opens and reveals large mountain trails on the other side. He sprinted through as the gate slowly shut by itself, and the room became quiet.

As Toon Link examined his fully healed right arm, Kirby was hugging him. Kirby eventually let go of his embrace of comfort and curiously contemplating the lobby. It was polished in high quality—no decorations except the table in the center.

So he crawled towards the table where he sat most of the presentation.

He makes a soft murmurs from his dot mouth while inspecting the grand map. He huffed the air, swelled himself like a balloon to perform a couple of jumps, and stood on top of the table.

He wasn't aware how this device works, so he used his stubs to swap the map around. There was a mansion. A large ocean. A mountain where Kirby lasts seen the Master Hand. Sliding his stubs into a forest biomes.

Toon Link saw Kirby messing around someone property and rose to Kirby, poking him. Kirby stopped his browsing of curiousity and turned his round body to his friend, gesturing an X using both arms.

He understood his friend and leaped off from the table. The two decided to return their last location.

Right before they do, there was a strange beeping sound behind them. The two looked concerned, and the Hero of Winds returned to the table.

He gaped briefly, eyes widened in disbelief. Kirby followed behind him and spotted a white dot that appeared inside a forest.

Wait... was that... the Master or Crazy Hands power level? Did it detect their presence?

Right before the Hero of Winds could guess, the white dot disappeared in mere seconds. Leaving them an unknown entity it picked up.

Toon Link sighed, and Kirby expresses a somber look.

The Hands seems to be a tricky one to find...

A/N— Did you know that Sakurai said the only fighters can escape Galeem light was Palutena, Bayonetta, and Kirby?

He chose Kirby because he's easy to control and maybe fond of him.
