The sky was something that Sora was not used to. As a child, he thought his feet could only remain on the ground. On his mercenary days, Sora's squadron favored the ground for it's more stealthy applications. While in the Academy he only flew back to Otsu once and that was due to the mandatory school holiday the Academy had. While he has traveled via airship more often these days, the fact that the ground he was feeling was what separated him from just freefalling is something he cannot get used to.
"Nervous?" Makoto simply questioned, holding his hand as she noticed Sora looking outside the window. "Not really… just having some thoughts is all." Sora explained as he stood up from the bench that he sat on to get a better view of the sky. "… I just cannot help but want to look at this view more. It makes me wonder what it would actually be like to fly in the sky without these airships." Sora explained as Makoto giggled.
"Is it because of your name?" Makoto questioned as Sora nodded his head at that. "When I was first learning Japanese… I learned that my name meant wind. Though my surname was something that Big Sis created." Sora explained as Makoto smiled sadly upon hearing that. "Alice was her name no?" Makoto said as Sora nodded his head upon hearing that. "Did you happen to meet Derrick and Neko? The last time I saw them was before I left Otsu for Kagutsuchi." Sora questioned as Makoto shook her head.
"The last time I saw them was before the whole mess with the NOL that Otsu went through. Though knowing that Pikaka is with them should make you feel better." Makoto said as Sora smiled upon hearing that. "Pikaka… Yeah with her those two will be alright." Sora said, the smile on his face not fading as Makoto noticed Sora placing the Black Beast hand on his chest. "Sorry… I don't know why I am feeling nostalgic all of the sudden…" Sora said, looking at Makoto a bit like a lost child.
"… I don't blame you. We have to feel nostalgic from time to time." Makoto explained, holding Sora's Black Beast hand with her own prosthetic hand. "It's what makes us human after all. We think about the loved ones we have and how much we want to protect them." Makoto explained, making Sora smile upon hearing that. "… Thanks. Don't know why I feel like this all of the sudden. Anxious I guess." Sora said, trying to keep his emotions in check.
"Don't be. To tell you the truth, I am actually worried about my own family. But knowing them, Daddy's going to make sure everyone's safe." Makoto said as Sora smiled upon hearing that. "Though now I said that… I wonder if Daddy will even remember me if I meet them again." The moment Makoto mentioned that to Sora, Sora immediately pulled her in for an embrace. "They will Makoto. I am sure of it." Sora reassured, making Makoto smile as he had gotten better at comforting people, not going with a blunt approach.
"Thanks… I know you are trying to cheer me up but I needed to hear that regardless." Makoto said, smiling for Sora to see as he kissed her at that moment. They had spent the past few days kissing each other and for outsiders, they would seem to be an extremely clingy or lovey dovey couple but for Sora and Makoto, their time separate from each other and the world events that followed has made them appreciate being closer to each other more than ever.
"Right… enough self reflection. Got to focus on the task at hand." Sora said as Makoto smiled and nodded her head. As soon as they released, Sora decided to contact Caroline at that moment to let her know what was going on. As soon as he did, he was greeted to the sounds of what to be loud noises and construction happening. "Ummm...Caroline?" Sora questioned before hearing a loud yelp and collapse before quick rustling of dust.
"You scared me boss. What's up?" Caroline questioned as Sora sighed before smiling. "How are things on your end. Are things looking good over there?" Sora questioned as Caroline sighed. "For now they are. The world not having any Seithr sucks but thanks to everyone else being gone and the Rev System I have enough Seithr and Electricity here to power stuff up for a while." Caroline said as Sora became concerned upon hearing that.
"Nobody hasn't returned from being sucked from the ball in the sky?" Sora questioned as the sounds of silence from Caroline's side told him everything he needed to know. "I am curious about something Caroline. Do you happen to have a way to access Kokonoe's lab?" Sora asked as this made Caroline curious. "You want me to break into the good professor's lab? You think that she might have something?" Caroline asked, curious about this.
"Indeed I do. Makoto, you would agree that a woman like Kokonoe would like to have as much information as she could to use?" Sora questioned as Makoto thought about what Sora had said before nodding her head. "That does sound like her. The fact that she was on top of a lot of things was kinda creepy. I wouldn't be surprised if she had managed to hack all the world's cameras to see everything." Makoto summarized before realizing where Sora was going with this.
"If Kokonoe had been hiding in Yabiko inside Kagura's headquarters and she had been preparing herself for this, she should have some data we can use on her database. If we can gain access to that data, maybe we can figure out what we need to do over here." Sora theorized as Makoto thought about what Sora had said and liked where he was going with this. "In that case, Do you think you can break your way into Kokonoe's office Caroline?" Makoto questioned as they could hear Caroline laugh.
"Oh I will love to do so. I will make sure that woman's security is completely defeated." Caroline said, Sora and Makoto swearing they could hear her cackle at her end. "Please don't destroy the lab. We need it intact…" Sora said as Makoto shook her head before smiling. "Oh don't you worry boss. I have been meaning on putting the items I have been making to good practical testing. I cannot wait for you to see what happens next." Caroline said.
"You know we cannot see what you are doing right?" Sora said as Makoto shook her head upon hearing that. "Caroline was being figurative, not literally." Makoto explained, Sora nodding his head upon hearing that as Caroline cackled even more. "I will contact you all later. I got some work for me to do." Caroline said, ending the call at that moment as Sora looked at Makoto at that moment, wondering if he should say what was on his thought.
"No Sora. She will not try and destroy the place while we are here. She's at least responsible enough to hold back." Makoto said as Sora looked at her at that moment, just pausing at that moment upon hearing that statement. "At least… I hope so." Makoto continued as Sora swore he could see a bead of sweat form at the corner of her forehead. "I guess I can believe your word on it. Maybe she has grown a bit." Sora said as Makoto took a deep breath of relief.
"Now that is settled… What are we going to do next." Sora said, his mind wondering what they should do next as he realized there was a few more hours left that they needed to fill before they would arrive at Yabiko. "Where's Bullet in all of this? She should be nearby." Makoto asked as Sora scratched his head upon hearing that. "She said that she wanted some personal time to herself so she said she was going to walk around the airship for a bit. She may be gathering info about what is going on in Yabiko and make sure we are updated on things." Sora explained as Makoto nodded her head at that.
"I agree. The last time we were in the middle of things, we were back in December dealing with a Ragna who has amnesia and him being a wanted criminal. I wonder if this means we are going to get something else entirely." Makoto said as Sora nodded his head at that. "But that doesn't explain the cryptic message about going to meet that Izanami lady. How does one actually gain the ability to meet her?" Sora questioned as Makoto agreed with that statement.
"All the more reason we need to go and meet with Kagura and hopefully the others and trade information right?" Makoto said as Sora nodded his head at that. "At the very least, we should soon be able to learn a lot of things and also help Bullet out with her captain issue no?" Makoto continued as Sora nodded his head at that statement but scratched his head. "I have a feeling that Bullet's feeling about her captain are going to be a lot more complicated but at the very least, we should focus on one thing at a time." Sora said as Makoto agreed with that feeling.
"Now that we have our plan settled… is there anything else you would like to get off your chest Sora?" Makoto questioned as Sora looked at her at that moment, slightly confused before realizing what she was trying to imply. "Nope. I don't have any thoughts about the masked bastard that I wanted vented at the moment. I just want to focus on what we can do right now and put him and Carl at the back of my mind." Sora explained as Makoto smiled.
"I admit, Carl being with him still worries me but you're right. No point worrying about that right now when we have a big problem right in front of us that we need to deal with first." Makoto said, prompting Sora to nod his head in agreement. "Do you want to get some more rest Makoto? I can take watch while you do so." Sora questioned as Makoto shook her head, holding Sora's hand and guiding him towards the bench.
"I was going to ask you the same thing Sora. You look like you are going to start forming bags in your eyes." Makoto said, expressing concern over Sora's current condition as he scratched his head upon hearing that statement. "Not going to lie… I am feel a bit stressed right now and I do not think an airship cabin that is not sound proofed is a good place to vent." Sora said, making Makoto think of several things.
"And No. it's nothing sexual. I just feel like screaming for a bit you know." Sora said as Makoto immediately blushed at Sora's response, prompting her to grab and hold him into her breasts, smothering his face in the process. Sora, as if used to it, used her breasts as a way for him to monotonously and comedic effect screamed, making Makoto giggle as if she knew that Sora was going to do something like this.
"Come on now. I didn't wear this half top for you to just scream right into my boobs." Makoto said as Sora simply used his face and rubbed it on Makoto's underboob, feeling flesh on his face. "Not now, there's cameras on us right now. I am not interested in getting called by the NOL right now." Sora said as Makoto was happy to see Sora show restraint at this very moment. Maybe she could learn a thing or two about self control from Sora at that very moment.
"… Okay maybe a little." and at that moment, Makoto couldn't help but sigh and smile as she felt Sora kiss her underboob. "I knew you cannot resist these puppies." Makoto teased as she could feel Sora pout underneath. "I am serious though. Knowing you, you are one step away from wanting to publicly show yourself." Sora said as Makoto turned red upon hearing that. "W-Where did that come from!?" Makoto said, resisting the urge to smack Sora in the balls.
"Well...I mean… from our time in the Academy, you tend to have weird fetishes and constantly have to hold back the urge to develop further urges." Sora explained, speaking with logics and fact as Makoto squirmed for a bit before grabbing Sora and pushing him on the bench. Sora was shocked by this before he felt her sit on his crotch, eyes staring right at him at that very moment. "… Fine you're right this one time." Makoto said as she kissed Sora before lying herself on top of him.
"So at the very least, if we cannot have sex right now and for good reason. At least let this girl enjoy your warmth like this." Makoto said, wanting to be a bit more selfish as Sora smiled and nodded his head, Making Makoto smile as she cheekily and purposely rubbed her own crotch on his, trying to get him hard at that moment. "Are you asking for trouble Makoto?" Sora questioned as Makoto flashed him a cheeky smile, making Sora sigh and shake his head at Makoto's gesture.
"Well… Don't go blaming me if anything happens." Sora said, Makoto smiling and kissing him at that moment, cuddling him closer in her arms. The two relaxed in each other's arms. "We didn't get to do this last night and you know what… this feels nice." Makoto said, smiling as Sora nodded his head. "I know, but at the same time, you know that I like to wake up first in these kind of situations." Sora explained as Makoto nodded her head.
"Indeed I do Mr Minakaze, I made sure to memorize everything that I know about you and make sure they never leave my mind." Makoto said, rubbing her face on his as Sora smiled upon feeling this gesture. "The only thing to make you forget is to have your brain probed by god." Sora replied, Makoto chuckling a little bit. "Maybe a bit too soon for the memory loss jokes but at the same time, thanks for the attempt." Makoto said as Sora smiled.
"You two sure are having a nice time together." As soon as they heard a voice, Sora and Makoto immediately assumed fighting positions. Small cabin seats they got for themselves made it hard for them to have enough space to assume fighting positions so Makoto took initiative, being the one in front, subconsciously pushing her ass on Sora's crotch as Sora had no choice, his back was pressed on the wall and going any further ahead would just result in him pressing his weight on Makoto's back. There was also the fact that Makoto's massive bushy tail was pushing itself on his face.
"Oh calm down you two. It's just me Amy." Amy replied, instantly dispelling all tension in the room as Sora took a deep breath upon hearing that. "Also… are you comfortable like that Father?" Amy continued as Makoto immediately realized what had happened to Sora as she immediately turned around to see Sora simply look away, a slight crimson on his face as Makoto could see him quickly shove his hands on his pants as Makoto couldn't help but have a sheepish smile at that moment.
"Awww come on. There's no need to be shy right now." Makoto teased as Sora sighed and released his hands from his pants, letting Makoto see what had happened underneath as she giggled while Sora took a seat. "…. I wanted to enjoy myself a bit more." Sora muttered as thanks to her beastkin ears, she could hear what he said as she giggled, sitting next to him and making him look at her in the eyes.
"Oh don't you worry. You will get plenty of chances to enjoy this fuckable piece of meat." Makoto said as Sora shook his head upon hearing what she had said before kissing her. "You sure you should be saying something like that. Especially when there are children watching." Sora teased, hand slapping Makoto's ass as she giggled and sat next to him. Sora and Makoto could feel a bit of heat on their side as that told him that Amy was embarassed by what she had heard.
"I-I am not a child! I am a weapon of mass destruction!" Amy complained as Sora and Makoto looked at each other. "Well… you should be able to tell us how old you really are." Sora said as Amy froze upon hearing that statement. "Don't tell me that Murakumo units don't have the concept of age taught to them Epsilon-5." Sora said, teasing her with her original name as Amy wanted to give Sora a whallopping at that moment but couldn't due to the clear lack of body.
"Oh shut up! I am clearly much older than the two of you two!" Amy complained as Sora and Makoto continued to look at each other upon hearing that. "If I can ask, How old are you exactly literally. Not biologically." Makoto questioned as Sora wondered what Makoto was trying to achieve with her line of questioning. Amy continued to make noises, not making things clear for the two of them before they could hear a defeated sigh come from Amy's voice.
"You are going to keep that a secret still from us huh." Sora said as Amy pouted upon hearing that. "Well what does it matter. I am just a floating soul in your minds. There's no body for me to have an age on now." Amy said, trying to divert their attention from her in general. "Hmmmm true, but at the same time, there's no harm in us having you tell us your real age." Sora said as Makoto remained quiet upon hearing that. Amy herself fell silent upon hearing his words.
"….I have never really thought about it. The concept of age to me doesn't really exist." Amy responded as Makoto couldn't help but feel a bit sad upon hearing that while Sora nodded his head upon hearing that. "So that means you don't know your own birth date as well?" Sora questioned, the silence produced by Amy once again answering his question. "In that case… would you like to have one?" Sora questioned as Makoto and Amy were immediately caught off guard hearing that.
"I mean… Since you don't have a birthday to call your own, why don't you let me give you one." Sora said as Makoto couldn't help but blink a few times upon hearing that. "Well… With the world the way it is right now, it would be hard to give you a solid date when it's possible that the world may end before our very eyes." Sora continued as Makoto nodded her head upon hearing that. "Not to mention, your lack of body right now would make giving you a birth date hard since it would feel lonely to celebrate a birthday without a body."
As soon as Amy heard what Sora had just said, she merely made a noise, hinting that she was in agreement with what Sora had said. Sora at that moment looked towards the ceiling, pondering if he should say what he wanted to say or save it for later. His eye then went towards Makoto as she could sense what Sora was thinking at that moment, making her sigh before smiling. "Whatever you are thinking Sora… you have to let it out. There's no point keeping it all in and leaving things to be said later on." Makoto said, giving Sora the blessing he needed to say what he needed to say towards Amy.
"Truth is… I would like to figure out a way for you to have your body back Amy." Sora said, expressing himself as Amy couldn't believe what she had just heard. "Are...Are you sure? I did try to ruin yours and Makoto's…" Before Amy could finish her sentence, Sora decided to clear his voice, prompting Amy to stop what she was saying before she could finish it. That told her that Sora had a lot more for her to hear and it would be better for her to let him say it before she continued.
Sora: Yes, you tried to make both mine and Makoto's lives a living hell but at the same time, you were doing your job.
Amy: Yes it is my job but…
Sora: Were you happy to do so?
Amy: No.
Sora: Did you think there was another way?
Amy: I don't claim to know the Azure well but at the same time, I would like to think that there is more we can do that doesn't mean the extermination of a life right away
Sora: Then you did the best you could do in that situation. You decided that to save the world, you had to erase me from the world and Makoto happened to be involved in all of this. I don't blame you for trying to do your job at the end of the day.
Amy did not know how to feel about what was being said. She knew did not deserve such kindness directed towards her yet here was Sora, offering her a branch of peace for her to take. "So let's put all of that behind us and try to be friends like I wanted. And as your friend, I will not stop until you get a body back again Amy." Sora said, reaffirming his determination to mend their friendship as Amy couldn't help but feel a sense of overwhelming happiness directed towards her.
She wanted to cry at that moment, to have tears emerge out of her eyes but as a mere floating soul, she cannot do anything at that moment. All she can do is sob to express the shock that she was feeling at that moment. Makoto smiled, holding Sora close to her. "You know Amy. I will not forgive you as easily as Sora. While you and him have had a long history with each other, we are still strangers. To me, you will always be the woman who tried to take my boyfriend away from my life and memories." Makoto said, Sora understanding why she would say that as he felt her affectionately hold his normal hand.
"But at the same time… I know how much this friendship means for Sora. So I hope we can bury the hatchet from this point onwards." Makoto continued as she and Sora could hear Amy's sobs become even louder as Sora knew that this probably meant a lot to Amy. "Father… Makoto…" Amy weakly said as Makoto smiled, deciding to give Amy something that she can say instead. "I know it's too soon… but when you feel like it's time, you can call me Mother or mama."
The moment Makoto said those words, Sora did not know how to react to what she had just said. "Come on now. If Amy's going to call you father or papa whenever she wants, it's only fair that I offer the same thing as well. That way, At least Amy can know what it's like to have a mother figure in her life." Makoto said as Sora's eyes wouldn't stop blinking. He was trying to process what he had just heard and simply nodded his head.
"Oh….Oh Mama…" the moment Amy subconsciously said Mama, Makoto could feel something in her heart get shot as she felt the hatred that she had felt towards Amy slowly melt away. She tightened her grip on Sora's arm to make sure that she doesn't lose strength as Sora chuckled at her response. "So there you have it. I forgive you and Makoto's willing to accept you. So please… don't feel burdened about what you did to us and let's move on together." Sora said.
Amy at that moment felt a swell of emotions swim inside her, she did not know how she should compose herself, only that the emotions she felt inside were about to burst and without her body, she cannot hug anybody right now. All she could do was simply cry as Sora was confused by what was happening with Amy. "I… Did I say something wrong?" Sora questioned as Amy immediately made a noise that told him no.
"No… Not at all… I just feel overwhelmed is all…" Amy explained as Sora and Makoto looked at each other and took a sigh of relief. "Well… if you want to make things up with us much easier, it would help for you to give us any information you got on the Master Unit. How long as she been doing what she has been doing and if anybody has tried to stop her before." Sora asked, figuring that maybe by shifting the conversation to something a bit more serious, Amy would be able to calm down. Makoto was not sure about this tactic but hearing Amy sniff her nose a bit told her otherwise.
"I… I guess I can do that much at the very least." Amy said as Sora smiled upon hearing her make that statement. Sora and Makoto decided at that moment to take a seat. "Well… Firstly, she may be called the Master Unit but her actual name is Amaterasu." Amy said as Sora and Makoto nodded their heads upon hearing that statement. "Amaterasu herself is not a goddess but a being given god like powers. Hers being the control of time itself." Amy explained as Sora nodded his head, understanding what was being explained.
"Time itself, you make it sound like she's able to manipulate any event but something tells me that there is more to her than we know." Makoto said, wanting to figure out more. "Indeed. There are certain limitations to her ability to manipulate time. The most important thing you all need to know is that she is only able to influence events starting from the start of the Dark War." Amy said as Makoto's eyes widened upon hearing that.
"The Dark War?! That's much farther than I had expected." Makoto said, shocked but Sora shook his head. "It is far but it makes sense to me. The fact that the Master Unit did not try to influence events from even further tells me that the dark war restriction is when she was born." Sora explained as Makoto was surprised by the insightful analysis that he had given "I wouldn't argue that is wrong but I wouldn't dismiss it as well. The truth is that Amaterasu herself keeps a lot of things hidden from us guardians besides the important details. Which is all we need to protect her."
"And why would she want to do something like that? To make sure that any information that would be leaked out doesn't leak to the people that she doesn't want to know?" Makoto guessed but Sora shook his head. "That wouldn't make sense Makoto. Amaterasu has the ability of time manipulation correct? So she can just make it so that the information was never delivered in the first place." Sora said, Makoto thinking about what Sora had just said before nodding her head in agreement. "I think you are right about that Sora… in which case, does she not tell the truth out of fear that you could tell someone how to defeat her?" Makoto suggested.
"I don't really know, the master unit likes to keep things secret so it's hard to actually tell why she likes to omit information. I think that the information I told you is what she is comfortable being told to others." Amy said as Sora thought about what she said and wondered about something. "Can you tell me what is her main objective in all of this? Why she has been trying to erase me for the next world reset?" Sora questioned as Amy raised her voice, ready to give her answer but froze, realizing she did not know.
"… I thought I knew but now that I have time to think about it, the Master Unit never told me what is the goal of all these time resets." Amy said as Makoto and Sora looked at each other, concerned by what they had just heard. "So in that case… Why is the Master Unit doing all of this in the first place?" Sora questioned as Makoto looked at him, understanding why Sora asked that question in the first place.
At that moment, Sora decided it was safe to let Kevin out as he held out his hand. Focusing on summoning Kevin, he made sure that Kevin the Black Beast was summoned as small as possible to ensure that he was easy to hide if needed. Soon the tiny Black Beast head looked at Sora and Makoto, wondering what it could do at this moment as Makoto wondered why Sora did what he did. "That makes me wonder if my role as a Continuum Error is what interferes with this process. If she wanted to, she could have already reset the world several times but yet she chooses not to." Sora said as Makoto realized what he said was right.
"That...That actually is a good point. If Sora really was that much of an issue, she could have just erased Sora without needing you to do so. Does that mean her power is weakening?" Makoto questioned as Kevin continued to look at Sora and Makoto at that moment before deciding to hop off Sora's hand, wanting to stretch it's head since it had not moved for a while. "Her power is still as strong as ever… but the fact that she has chosen to act this way… I don't know how to feel."
"Regardless of how she feels or what is her current power level, I think we can agree that Amaterasu is the one who has been pulling the strings or is the person that has everyone going crazy for right?" Sora said as Makoto nodded her head while Kevin bobbed his head cutely. "So with that settled… What does Izanami have to do with all of this. Why is she asking people to find and fight her?" Sora questioned as Makoto wondered about that.
"Could it be because of the Chosen requirement? She's the final boss for all chosen?" Makoto answered but Sora shook his head. "We have agreed that Amaterasu is capable of manipulating timelines. Even if Izanami has something that allows her to do the same thing, Amaterasu's authority means that she overrides anybody attempting to do the same thing." Sora answered as Makoto thought about what Sora had said and it made sense.
"So if it's not to grant the chosen's wish… could it be instead to show the Chosen what their wish truly is?" Makoto suggested as Sora tilted his head upon hearing that answer. "That does sound more likely… but why would she want to do something like that? Wouldn't a chosen know what they wanted granted?" Amy questioned as that was a key distinction that needed to be made. Sure Izanami does look like she is capable of doing something like that, but why show the Chosen their wish?
As the three thought about it, Sora couldn't help but look at Kevin at that moment and see that it was experimenting with itself. He watched the Black Beast jump it's tiny head a little bit before it stopped, looking sadly as it realized that it cannot grow a body. It was at that moment of disappointment on Kevin's face that made Sora realize a most likely possibility. "What if she wants to show people's wishes to disappoint them."
Makoto: Disappoint people?
Amy: You got to explain this a bit more father.
Sora: Think about it. We know that Amaterasu is capable of overwriting timelines. That means that any kind of power that would grant wishes would simply be overwritten because she would see it's not fitting her design and overwrite it.
Makoto: I understand that. But why would that… unless you are trying to suggest that the former imperator has the capability of showing people their wishes and how they will fail.
Amy: Show people their wishes will fail? What would be gained from doing so.
"I do not really know. That's all I can really guess why she is trying to do in the first place." Sora said, saying what was on his mind as Makoto tapped her chin and Amy made a noise suggesting she was in thought. Kevin had gotten bored of trying to form a body and hopped itself on Sora's hand, prompting Sora to rub Kevin on it's Black Beast head. As if on cue, Bullet entered, looking at the scene in front of her and asking the obvious question that one would do so.
"What are you guys thinking about?" Bullet questioned as she took her seat, looking at the two people in thought as they turned their heads towards her. "Oh Bullet. Sorry, we were just thinking about the Imperator's challenge." Makoto said as both her and Sora could feel Amy fade from their minds, letting them focus on the conversation in front of them while keeping her ears open to listen in. "The Imperator huh… You know, I have been wondering about that."
"Wondering about the Imperator? What about her has you thinking about her?" Sora questioned as Bullet scratched her head before her eyes were drawn towards Kevin. "Well… The former imperator was talking about finding her to fight her for our wishes to be granted. The thing is… I am wondering about how she's going to grant that wish." Bullet said, raising both Sora and Makoto's eyebrows.
"Then I think about it, there is mention of the Azure." the moment that Bullet mentioned the Azure, Makoto's eyes widened upon hearing that. "The Azure… now that I think about it, doesn't that sound familiar to the Azure Grimoire?" Makoto said as Sora looked at Makoto in confusion at that statement. Kevin however reflexively growled at the mention of the Azure, prompting Sora to pet it in the head in a soothing manner to calm it down. "The Azure Grimoire? What's that?" Sora questioned.
"Well simply put, it's supposedly the pinnacle of Ars Magus. It's a grimoire with so much power it can be liken to granting wishes. I remember spending quite a bit of time during the Academy trying to find that thing with team Remix Heart when I was not with you at the time." Makoto said as Sora nodded his head in understanding. "So you are thinking that the Azure the imperator was talking about is related to the Azure…?!" At that moment, Sora was able to piece together what Makoto was saying as Kevin leapt from Sora's hand and right onto Makoto's head.
"I don't say it is… but I suspect that what the imperator is offering is related to the Azure Grimoire." Makoto answered as Bullet placed a few fingers on her chin. "I guess that makes sense. When you are offering something as grand as having your wish granted, you better have something that can grant it in the first place otherwise you will look like an asshole for making such an offer." Bullet replied as Makoto and Sora nodded their heads at that. "Though what doesn't make sense to me is why she is even offering us such a thing in the first place? Couldn't she just use it for her own desire?" Bullet questioned.
As soon as that question was raised, Sora and Makoto couldn't help but feel like Bullet was bringing up a good point at that moment. If Izanami has this item that can grant wishes, why didn't she already use it to have her own wish granted? That would imply that either she cannot use the Azure for her own wish or she did try to wish for the world's death only for Amaterasu to immediately reset her for attempting to do so. While these can only remain speculation in their mind, Sora and Makoto couldn't help but find what Bullet said to be both alarming and cause for concern.
"Well… Whatever it is, we will just have to deal with it together right?" Bullet said as she decided that she had done enough thinking and needed some rest at that moment, closing her eyes. Sora and Makoto knew that they should let Bullet rest, leaving the room as Amy immediately returned to the conversation. "What do you think Amy? Our theory sound?" Sora questioned as Amy thought about what Sora said.
"It sounds plausible. But without talking to Izanami directly, we cannot do anything about it." Amy explained as Sora sighed and Makoto nodded her head. "For the time being, let's just get to Yabiko safely and make sure that we can meet with the others." Makoto said as Sora nodded his head, deciding he needed to say something. "I just want to ask, Why not speak Japanese with us Amy?" Sora questioned as Amy was surprised to hear that.
"I ummmm… you know…. Didn't want to presume that you guys wanted me to speak…" "Wait, you can speak Japanese? Is this the power of a master unit guardian that they are able to understand any language?" Makoto said, surprised as Sora shook his head. "Nope. Amy's been studying Japanese on her own this entire time." Sora explained as he felt Amy's blush at the back of his head. "Can you not say this kind of embarassing stuff Father." Amy complained.
"Oh. So you do speak Japanese." Makoto said as they could hear an audible gasp come from Amy's mouth. "Why are you acting surprised Amy?" Sora questioned, dumbfounded by what Amy had just done as Amy remained quiet for a bit, not responding to what he had just said for a little bit before a throat clear was heard from the both of them. "In… In any case, you two stay vigilant out there! There is no way of knowing what is coming our way." Amy said, trying to recompose herself.
"We will Amy. Thanks for the warning regardless." Sora said, smiling as Makoto smiled as well seeing Sora converse like so. Kevin made what it tried to sound as a bark but couldn't, hopping off Sora's head as Sora raised his hand to catch him, letting Kevin rub it's head on Makoto's cheek. As soon as it did, Sora immediately reabsorbed Kevin back into him, hiding him from public view as Makoto smiled and held Sora's hand.
"In that case, let's find something to kill our time with. I just have too much energy to burn right now." Makoto said as Sora looked at her confused at that statement. He was sure that there was no need for them to burn energy with how crazy their lives have been going. "What are you? A kid?" Sora questioned as Makoto gave him a smile before dragging him along with her, making sure that he followed her pace.

GREETINGS LOST SHEEP OF FANFICTION!? HOW ARE YOU ALL DOING ON THIS FINE DAY!? I myself am doing quite well. I hope you all have had a good 2024 so far. Once again it's starting to look like my schedule is going to get busy again. I will make sure to update you guys if the month makes me too busy to continue writing for the month. I hope you all understand regardless and I just wish to let you guys know what is going on.
