Distortion 11

Previously on Canon Distortion…

The Wheels of Fate continued to turn on the situation over at the 1st free city of Otsu. On one side, we have the Otsunian four heads facing off against Meifang Lapislazuli, risking their own lives for the sake of achieving a plan they had created. The other is the group of Noel, Hunter, Caroline and Makoto trying to get out of the city to meet up with Professor Kokonoe. Standing in their way is Noel, Hunter and Makoto's friend Tsubaki Yayoi and she happened to find Makoto Nanaya. As the people play out their part and the spectators watch on, what will the world decide it's script to be?..

And Now, the continuation of Canon Distortion

The sound of metal rang through the runway. It wasn't the sound of the engines of various airships coming and going through the first free city of Otsu but the sound of metal meeting with each other. Makoto Nanaya bit down on her lip as she raised her metal arm to block the slash of a blood red sword coming from her best friend as she looked at the emotionless Tsubaki Yayoi right in front of her right in the eyes.

"Why do you insist on resisting the judgment of the blue flame Makoto Nanaya?! Are you not truly repentant of your actions!?" Tsubaki shouted as she pushed more of her weight down, forcing Makoto to grit her teeth as she felt her body move back at that moment. Makoto resisted the urge to say anything, what could she have said at that moment that would have gotten through her friend at that moment with the eyes that she was giving her.

"It's because we are friends!" "I don't wish to harm you Tsubaki!" "The NOL is simply leading you blind and you know it!" These were the sentences that rang through her head but no matter what she thought, she figured the outcome would be the same. With her eyes as hollow and empty as they are, anything Makoto Nanaya said would have just been nothing but air for Tsubaki and that truly hurt Makoto deep inside. 'Dammit… What on Earth caused you to become this thing Tsubaki?..' Makoto thought as she couldn't help but drift back to a few moments ago…

When she agreed to the course of action she was taking at that moment.

FLASHBACK

MAKOTO POV

As I dealt with my guard, I couldn't help but feel my eyes dart around the current situation we had found ourselves in. Sure we were expecting the NOL presence around the airport was going to be dense but the fact that there seemed to be more NOL troops pooling out of nowhere seemed ridiculous even to me. "That's the last one on my end. What about you guys?" I asked as I looked to see that Hunter, Noel and Caroline had dealt with their guards in their own way.

"I am done here." Noel said as she had pistol whipped the back of her guard's neck as he dropped down harmlessly to the ground, drool coming out of his mouth. "Me too." Caroline said, vapors coming out of her guard's ears as she held a taser in her hand. Hunter didn't even say a word as he had already hid his guard away from the group. So far it's looking good but there's got to be a limit to how many people we are able to handle.

"So what are we going to do, keep knocking out every guard we see until we get to the runway?" I asked in both as a way to lighten the mood in the room and also show the situation that we are in right now. "If we kept doing that, forget getting on that ticket out of here, we will be stuck trying to hide every NOL officer from line of sight and if you ask me, I am starting to run out of spaces I can creatively shove people into without being forced to do some… "Creative" works." Hunter explained as that was enough for me to understand that we got to hurry things up.

"But what are we to do? We can't exactly go rushing out at the runway and exposing our plans to the NOL. They would most likely surround us and that's game over. We could try sneaking out but I doubt we have dealt a dent to their numbers and more are coming our way as we speak." Caroline explained as she tried to be rational about things. "I could use bolverk and lay down some cover fire?" Noel suggested, trying to offer what looked to be the best solution in her mind.

"As much as I like the idea of going guns blazing. I don't think it would be a good idea for us to do that so soon. Maybe as we are getting away but most definitely not now." Hunter said as he couldn't help but pat Noel in the idea, causing me to reflexively look away for some reason. The suggestion she made, the way Hunter complimented her. It felt… warm. Very warm. "So what. We just keep doing what we have been doing and just keep knocking out every guard we see?" Caroline said as I couldn't help but think about a really dumb plan at that moment.

Makoto: I mean… we could do that or…

Caroline: Or what? Spill it!

Makoto: I go out there and be bait for you guys as you three get away.

Caroline: Okay. Sacrificing oneself for the sake of others. As much as that sounds like a shit idea, it might be our best one yet.

Hunter: Y-You can't go doing that! What if they surround you with their numbers and you can't escape? What if you end up fighting against someone as crazy as Meifang!

Noel: I agree! There's no need for us to do sacrifice plays like that!

Makoto: I never said anything about sacrificing myself you know.

The moment I said those words, Noel and Hunter looked at me directly as something clicked on Caroline's mind. "You mean for you to become a focal point, forcing NOL troops to come rushing your way while the three of us clear as many as we can." Caroline said Noel and Hunter's eyes widened even more. "Exactly. No point in waiting for them to come to us. We force them to where we are and hit them at a chokepoint."

My plan was insane sure, but it's our best shot at being able to get out of the situation we had found themselves in, yet at the same time I couldn't help but notice Noel's face show signs of worry. "But what if we have to face Tsubaki? She won't let us do what you are suggesting we should do that easily." Noel said as I thought about it for a bit before shaking my head. "I know and that's why I will draw her out. If I expose myself to her, she will have to call in for extra reinforcements herself. That will mean having to fight against her but if it's just buying us time, I can do that at least." I said.

"There has to be a better solution than what you had just proposed Makoto! I refuse to believe that something that reckless is our only solution!" Hunter interjected, shocking me as I expected him to be one of the people who approved of my solution. I was about to say something but Noel placed a hand on Hunter's hand. "Hunter… I trust Makoto in this. Please let her do this." Noel said, surprising me that she was able to say something like that as Hunter couldn't help but pull Noel to a corner to quietly discuss something as nothing but whispers could be heard.

"Are you sure..." I barely hear as I tried not to purposely eavesdrop on their conversation, knowing how important it must be for the two to discuss things out. No that's not the right way of saying it. It's more like I don't want to hear the sounds of the two being affectionate because it reminds me of what I have lost and do not wish to lose again. I may be resolute in my decision in saving him but it still hurts to see the acts of affection I am unable to do right now.

Calm yourself Makoto. You cannot let what has happened cloud what you should do. What you can do right now? God or no god standing in your way. "So what do you think? Still opposed to my idea." I asked as both Noel and Hunter looked at each other before nodding. "We agree." Noel said but I could tell Hunter had something else to say. "I will let you go. But you must promise me something in return Makoto." Hunter said, his voice serious as he walked towards me before grabbing my hands tightly.

I reflexively blushed at this. What the… Why is he doing this all of the sudden!? I mean I don't know what he is about to say that would resort to him doing such a thing but all I know is that I got some massive NTR vibes from this. Even if he didn't intend to do so. "Please… Just live. No more sacrifices." Hunter whispered to me as he leaned closer to do so, making sure Noel couldn't hear what he had said before letting go. His eyes glancing on my arm as he cleared his throat.

"Right. Noel, Caroline. Stay close to me. When Makoto draws out Tsubaki, we will ambush any backup Tsubaki tries to send Makoto's way. Once we draw enough of them to us, we run to the airport itself." Hunter explained as Noel and Caroline simply nodded their heads as he looked at me once more, giving me a small stare down before leaving, taking Noel and Caroline in tow. No more sacrifices? What could he be talking about when he said that? Was it past trauma he faced or something involving me. Regardless of what I thought.

...I just had to do what I need to do…

As Makoto returned back to the present day, her mind refocusing on not what she had just gone through but the fight that was in front of her as Tsubaki stabbed the ground with the Izayoi, causing the sword to separate into several chains and burst out of the ground she stood on in a spiraling pillar in an attempt to damage her. Makoto dodged this attack as the blades would have shredded her back if it wasn't for the Rev Blade behind her back protecting her as she sidestepped.

As she felt the would be fatal blow connect, Makoto instinctively, turned her body, cocking her own metal arm and delivering a thundering hook right down on Tsubaki's head. Tsubaki raised her shield in return to block said attack but the attack proved much more effective than she had expected as her guard was forced down, exposing her temple to a potential attack from Makoto as she reacted quickly by forcing the coiling pillar of her sword to come crashing down on Makoto, forcing the two to create distance once again.

'As much as it doesn't help me in this current situation. Tsubaki's definitely become much better in terms of fighting ever since the academy days. Still… the way she's using the Izayoi. It's as if she doesn't fear the consequences anymore.' Makoto thought as she caught a glimpse of Tsubaki's eyes, seeing how hollow they had become as she bit her lips. Was the person in front of her truly Tsubaki Yayoi? Her best friend from the academy and one of the first lights in her life?

'Dammit Makoto! Now's not the time to be gawking like an idiot! Tsubaki wants to kill you and if you don't fight back you're really going to die!' Makoto continued as she created a ball of seithr that she launched with her metal arm right at Tsubaki to force her to jump into the air as Makoto used that as her chance to cover the distance before jumping into the air. "CORONA UPPER!" Makoto yelled as she felt a burst of air hit her, blasting her towards Tsubaki's stomach that Tsubaki herself blocked with the Izayoi's shield.

"AND SMASH!" Makoto yelled as she tried to slam her fist down Tsubaki's head at that moment, having opened Tsubaki up for such an attack as Tsubaki used the momentum she had felt was given to her by the Corona upper to swung her shield up to block the follow up, causing her to crash down upon a mountain of boxes as Makoto landed on her feet, nearly losing her footing that thankfully was stopped thanks to her using the Rev blade to stab the ground and stabilize her footing.

Not wanting to lose the advantage she had just gained, Makoto resheathed the Rev Blade back onto her back as she ran as fast as she could towards Tsubaki before closing her eyes and focusing on her movement, splitting herself to three in front of Tsubaki's eyes as Tsubaki stood up and was greeted by this sight. Makoto was confident for sure she had managed to open up Tsubaki as she had remained charging on the ground as she charged a level 3 fist for Tsubaki to eat.

"COSMIC RAY!" Makoto shouted as she blasted herself forward, thrusting her fist right for Tsubaki as much to her shock, Tsubaki managed to raise her shield to parry the attack in time as Makoto's eyes widened at that moment. Her heart began to race as she realized she was left open for attack as she saw Tsubaki raise the sword of the Izayoi above her head as she aimed the pommel of her blade right for Makoto's neck, intent on snapping her neck in half in the process.

Makoto could feel the sheer killing intent coming out of Tsubaki as she did what she had planned to do, forcing Makoto to react by hunching her back, allowing the Rev blade behind her back to take the hit instead as the impact of the blow was enough to send her crashing to the ground. She coughed a bit of blood in the process as Tsubaki quickly reversed her grip on the sword and attempted to plunge it down Makoto's chest after giving a swift kick to her stomach to force her to expose her top half to Tsubaki.

As Tsubaki tried to do so, Makoto reflexively grabbed the blade with her prosthetic arm, stopping the blow as she was shocked by this sudden and violent action. "TSUBAKI! STOP THIS! WE DON'T HAVE TO FIGHT TO THE DEATH AS IF WE ARE IN SOME WAR! THOSE DAYS ARE LONG OVER!" Makoto yelled, trying to get Tsubaki to see reason, to help her see that she was becoming something that she wasn't.

"You are wrong Makoto. The war may be over, but the fact that those who are guilty over it are still allowed to roam freely means that justice has yet to be delivered!" Tsubaki said as Makoto shook her head. "BUT I AM NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE WAR MONGERING ASSHOLES! I AM YOUR DAMN FRIEND TSUBAKI!" Makoto shouted back as she could see Tsubaki's brow furl a bit as Makoto used that as her chance to kick Tsubaki off her as Makoto panted heavily.

"AND FRIENDS DON'T GO TRYING TO KILL THEIR FRIENDS JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE STANDING ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THEIR BELIEFS!" Makoto shouted some more, hoping she could finally reason her way out of this as Tsubaki held her head a bit, breaking a bit of a sweat as Makoto raised her hand towards Tsubaki before leaping out of the way when Tsubaki cracked the whip with the Izayoi right at Makoto's face to try and kill her from a distance.

While she didn't kill Makoto Nanaya, she did manage to wrap her whip around Makoto's prosthetic arm, pulling her in as Makoto was forced to the ground as Makoto quickly recovered before using a pole to stop herself from being dragged further. Makoto gritted her teeth as she could feel the tension coming through her prosthetic as she took a deep breath before purposely detached said arm right at Tsubaki. The tension that was placed on said arm caused the whip to whiplash, causing Tsubaki to be punched in the stomach as Makoto used that to quickly close the gap, grabbing the prosthetic arm that was on the ground.

"SO I REFUSE TO LET YOU KILL ANYBODY ELSE TSUBAKI! I REFUSE TO LET YOU GO BEYOND THAT PATH WITH THE WAY YOU ARE!" Makoto yelled as she felt her emotions begin to well up. Seeing Tsubaki like this, seeing her be so hollow reminded her too close of what she was close to becoming. She simply did not want anybody to become what she could have become and refused to have a repeat of what she had become happen right in front of her eyes.

"SO! So if it means beating whatever is in your mind down to submission then beat you down myself! Not as your enemy! Or even an enemy of the NOL itself! You are my friend Tsubaki and that's it! Nothing more! Nothing else!" Makoto yelled out in declaration as Tsubaki's head recoiled even further from Makoto's declaration, giving Makoto the chance to deliver a punch right at Tsubaki's cheeks. A direct hit that rocked Tsubaki's world as Makoto chose not to pursue any further even though she could as Tsubaki stumbled from the punch, panting heavily as Makoto hoped and prayed that her wishes had managed to reach Tsubaki at that moment.

Silence greeted the two for a moment as Makoto waited patiently, holding back her tongue as she could see Tsubaki heavily panting as she slowly reached for her hat which dropped to the ground from Makoto's last punch. As she grabbed the hat, Makoto could see the composure slowly return back to Tsubaki's face as Makoto thought she had failed in reaching Tsubaki. "To Think I would be forced to resort to using something like this..."

The words spoken were not from Tsubaki's mouth but from another as Makoto felt time suddenly come crawling to a halt. A chill suddenly crawled up her back as she realized she couldn't move a singular inch of her body and was frozen in place. 'W-What… My body!..' Makoto thought as saw something approach her. Something she could only describe as death itself as Makoto couldn't even defend herself even if she wanted to.

"I never wanted to do this to you. All I wanted was just to try and reason with you so that I wouldn't be forced to do what I am about to do." The voice continued as in front of Makoto's eyes, Amy manifested herself from the sea of shadows. 'Y-YOU! What are you!?' "What am I doing here right now you may ask?" Amy said, surprising Makoto greatly as Amy's facial features were hidden from Makoto's own view.

"You shouldn't be surprised. It's not only written in your face but your soul Also speaks out what it truly feels. You're angry to see me right now." Amy explained as Makoto could see one of her eyes glow at that moment. It glowed a soft azure blue as Makoto couldn't help but feel like she had managed to step into one shitty situation into another. "Time has been paused for a moment. I could have used this so many times against you but I chose not to because I wanted to reason with you. Make you see logic Makoto Nanaya." Amy explained as she approached closer to Makoto.

"But you refuse and now you're trying to undo the work the master unit worked so hard to achieve. You are trying to undo everything that was accomplished with Sora's sacrifice. All because you selfishly choose to continue to cling onto him like a parasite." Amy said, her voice getting angrier as Makoto could sense for the first time emotions coming from this woman that she didn't know very well. "Don't you understand that what we do while painful is necessary for the world. We may not relish using such means but if it keeps the world from destroying itself over and over in an endless loop then we must do what must be done!"

There she went again, Amy explaining to Makoto Nanaya how the world works, the gears and mechanisms that kept the world moving in a steady pace. Makoto was being compared as a gear that was refusing to budge, causing everything else to grind to a halt. Makoto would grit her teeth but she could do nothing but watch as Amy stood in front of her, weapon in hand as she raised it above her head. "If I have to kill you to let Sora's soul part from it's current state. Then kill you I must!" Amy said, her right eye glowing a brighter blue as Makoto was stuck.

She couldn't move away from the easily telegraphed attack coming her way, she couldn't grit her teeth to prepare for the pain that was going to be inflicted onto her. She couldn't even raise her hand out to try and desperately protect herself. As the blade itself felt like it was going in slow motion, Makoto's mind began to think about the several things that was happening in her life to get her to this moment.

From the discrimination she suffered when she was young, to finding the friends who managed to get her away from that bad part of her life. To discovering that she was part of something greater than her own problems and her friendships tearing apart. To finally meeting a person. A white haired man who despite bearing the scars of his past marched to his own beat, not to redeem sins of the past, but to honor those who he had to leave behind. A person that made her feel complete and whole that was take away from her and she will do everything in her power to take back with her own hands.

'Sora...' was the only wish her soul made as she couldn't even close her eyes as she saw the blade raise up to end her life. Her soul cried out honestly for the man she longed to see, longed to hold in her arms and longed to keep having more happy memories of as she didn't want it to end here. At that moment, an honest wish, an honest desire was made as Amy's attack continued to descend down, Amy noticed the weapon Makoto carried behind her back suddenly come rushing out to deflect the attack from Amy, shocking her as it created distance between the two.

'Ma...Ko...To..' A voice called out, a voice that caused Makoto's eyes to widen as she felt something pulse within her chest as she saw the broken piece of metal emerge out of her, shocking Amy as she felt the pull of something wanting to emerge out of her chest as she clutched her chest in an attempt to keep it contained. It was futile however as she saw the handle she had retrieved so long ago from Sora's own body rush out of her body and reconnect with the broken piece of metal that Makoto had held onto.

'No… I can't give up now.' The voice continued as Makoto could feel her hand begin to twitch as the Rev Blade opened up by itself and began to release Seithr into the air. This seithr looked different however as white flowing streams of light came rushing out of the Rev blade itself and went into the broken halves of the weapon, fusing and forging it in front of the two's eyes as Makoto felt her hand reach out towards it. She wasn't doing it out of her own free will but at the same time her body… nay her soul knew what she was doing as the voice was becoming more and more clear.

'I cannot give up now… She's waiting for me… I cannot let her be sad ever again.' The voice spoke as Amy realized who the source of this voice was coming from. "Impossible… How is the Error… Sora Minakaze even speaking right now!?" Amy said as the newly repaired part of the blade slowly went towards Makoto as she felt it stab itself into her. She didn't scream out in pain at that moment but was instead left in a tranquil peace as the blade that would have easily skewered her despite missing the rest of it's long blade and tip entered into Makoto Nanaya.

'I don't care how long this road takes me. Makoto I am coming for you!' The voice, finally known as Sora spoke as tears began to emerge out of her eyes as Makoto couldn't help but cry at that moment. For the longest time she had been searching for it. Searching for signs that somewhere out there, Sora was alive and fighting against the fate that was thrown his way. The moment she heard his voice, the tears wouldn't stop coming as she finally had her answer to what she wanted to know.

"Make us whole. Form the contract." A new voice spoke in Makoto's mind as Amy realized she had spent time watching what had just happened and not enough time actually going for the kill. Ignoring the sight she had witnessed, Amy came charging for Makoto, ready to bisect her in half once again but Makoto suddenly moved out of the way, surprising Amy as Makoto couldn't help but breathe heavily in the process.

"W-What!?" Amy said, shocked to see Makoto Nanaya moving when she shouldn't be able to as Makoto herself couldn't understand what was happening as before she could say anything else. Makoto Nanaya suddenly vanished from Amy's vision. The moment she did, Amy clenched her teeth in anger and confusion as she slammed her weapon down on the ground, angry that she not only allowed Makoto Nanaya to escape but also seemed to have created another problem in the process.

"DAMMIT WHAT THE HELL HAD JUST HAPPENED!?" Amy shouted in frustration, confusion coming to the surface as she didn't know what to make of the experience she had just felt. She knew she had witnessed something impossible happen. A singular person without much experience in being stopped in time completely being able to escape. But more importantly she heard it, she heard the call of the soul that simply refused to pass on the Azure as Amy couldn't help but slam her blade down some more.

...Frustrated that things were now slipping away from her own understanding…

The first sensation Makoto felt when she was snapped out from that out of body experience was simply backlash. Her mental state struggled to recover as she tried to compose herself from what had just happened. The second sensation was her feet slipping as she dropped on her ass, her tail cushioning the fall as she couldn't help but break down in a heavy sweat as she wondered where on Earth she was at that moment. Did… Did time really pass on her without knowing.

"Tsubaki Stop! We don't have to fight like this!" A voice shouted as Makoto tried to scramble to her feet but simply felt her limbs go limp. She hadn't lost her strength but more so her sense of balance as she managed to get back up to her feet at that moment. Holding onto her head, she couldn't help but feel her sense of vision be blurry as if her mind and body were just trying to adjust from the various sensations coming out.

'Ugh…. What on Earth is happening to me?..' Makoto thought as she took the time to recompose herself. Even though she didn't fight against Amy at that brief moment. The sudden turn of events that happened in front of her eyes was enough to take the wind out of her breath. She was just simply surprised that Tsubaki did not take advantage of what seemed to be a moment of weakness to go in and kill her as she couldn't help but pat herself to check she had not been fatally wounded.

"But we must. For you choose to stand in the way of the NOL and thus must be put down!" Tsubaki shouted back as Makoto looked at the direction to see the person that Tsubaki was talking to. Makoto's eyes then widened as Tsubaki charged and clashed with Noel Vermillion, Noel gritting on her teeth as she struggled to force herself away from the clash as the two locked eyes. "But Tsubaki!" Noel shouted before feeling Tsubaki apply more weight down upon her, forcing Noel to stop talking and continue to struggle preventing the blade from cutting her in half.

"Noellie!" Makoto yelled as she tried to run ahead but soon felt her feet about to give out on her as someone rushed to grab her before she could fall down. "Calm down Makoto! You must be still dazed from earlier!" Caroline shouted as the good doctor helped keep Makoto standing as she struggled to get a bearing of what was happening. "Caroline? What on Earth happened?" Makoto asked innocently as Caroline looked at her shocked.

"I should be the one asking you that question. We were just holding back the NOL like we said we would when Noel noticed that you were just standing around like a deer with headlights. When Noel saw that you weren't trying to block or dodge Tsubaki's attack she intervened. You would have definitely died if she didn't do so Makoto." Caroline explained as Makoto couldn't help but look down on her hands as she couldn't believe what she had just heard Caroline tell her.

'I was just standing around doing nothing?..' Makoto thought as she couldn't help but shiver at the thought of what she experienced being not what everyone else had seen. It was an eerie reminder that she was now contending against forces which were not within her world of logic. She shook her head, trying to not let that get to her head as she decided to try and grasp the situation in front of her once again before it slipped out of her mind as she looked at Caroline.

"Is that airship coming by anytime soon?" Makoto asked calmly as Caroline looked to the sky before noticing something coming by. "Looks like our escape plan is coming soon." Caroline simply said, pointing to the sky as Makoto knew what she had to do at that moment. "Caroline. Go and get Hunter. We need to get ready to leave now. I'll try and help out Noel in whatever way I can." Makoto explained as Caroline couldn't help but worry about her friend's current condition as she noticed the sweat coming out of her forehead.

"Don't worry about me. I know how to pace myself. I won't overexert myself I swear." Makoto continued as that was enough to ease Caroline's worries as she nodded her head and ran towards the direction Hunter was at to try and see what she can do to help. As Caroline did that, Makoto took a deep breath as she tried to recompose herself back to the current situation. 'Come on Makoto. Don't let the last few seconds or minutes get you. You need to focus back on reality… back on reality.' Makoto said, trying to get her mind back to what was her current situation and not the surreal moment she had before.

Yet despite her best attempt to do so, Makoto wasn't able to shake off the sluggish feeling as when she took a step, she felt a sort of backlash come out of her as she struggled to keep her mind focused on the thing in front of her, the reality around her becoming hazy. Her legs wobbled against her will as she realized what she had experienced was something that nobody was supposed to experience. A once in a lifetime experience that was to remain that for many people yet Makoto had no time to ponder about that.

"TSUBAKI!" Makoto yelled as she realized she was unable to try and move quickly towards the direction of Noel and Tsubaki and hoped that her voice would get the two to stop fighting at that moment. Her plan worked as the two were then drawn towards the direction of Makoto as Noel was shocked to see her friend standing and shouting directly at Tsubaki. "You forgot about me already!? I am hurt you know!" Makoto argued as Tsubaki remained calm as she swung her sword a bit before suddenly charging right for Makoto.

"I had thought you had learned your lesson about fighting against the NOL and was willing to repent but it appears that you still need to be put to the sword Makoto Nanaya." Tsubaki said as she tried to stab Makoto through her heart. Makoto tried to counter by raising her arms to block but a sudden sensation on her chest caused her to limp over in pain as she couldn't help but clench her chest at the sudden pain she had felt.

"MAKOTO!" Noel yelled as Makoto looked up to see the blade being raised high up in the air and a bright crimson come crashing down upon her. Yet when her eyes blinked she realized that what she had seen had yet to happen as instinctively she leaned back a bit more to take the impact of the slash with the Rev Blade, causing Tsubaki to smash her down on the ground as Makoto coughed hard, her vision of the world distorting as a result as she heard the sounds of something touching down.

As she felt the impact of the ground crawl up her body, she realized that last blow had caused her to be struck on the head as her consciousness began to fade away. The reality of the current situation escaping from her as she could hear the distorted sounds of people talking that sounded really distant and far for her. All she could think about was what on Earth they were talking about as her eyes felt heavy at that moment and closed themselves against their will. At that moment, when her eyes were shut, her mind simply went blank as she ceased all thoughts at that moment.

.As she was simply greeted into the black abyss, unaware of what was happening to the outside world…
