Distortion 42
Night time is often seen as two things. It is either a time where most people who seek peace and quiet would see it as their chance to return to their dwellings to rest and prepare for the next day or a time where people who wish to remain hidden in the darkness come out to do their daily duties that are impossible to do so in the light. Normally, Sora would like to do his activities at night but for the situation he is in, the light is more important right now.
Here he was, seated inside a room in one of the NOL bases that are located around the world not being hunted by the NOL soldiers around him and being treated normally. This has been quite the past few days as he had expected his bounty to attract the attention of the men and women that are in this base. Either Kagura bribed them for their silence or something else entirely. Regardless, being able to have a moment of respite from the craziness around him is something he considered important at that moment.
He had hoped to talk with Bullet to see what they were going to do next but Bullet had asked to be left on her own devices for the night. He was not sure if he wanted to discuss anything with Amy at the moment as he stared out at the window, his eyes gazing towards the night sky as if he was seeking answers at that moment. His heart knew what he had to do next but his brain had hoped he had a more surefire way of getting what he needed done.
"So it truly is a blind grasping of fate huh…" Sora said as he looked down at a piece of paper he had written. He decided that instead of doing nothing, he would just write whatever came up his mind at the moment. He spun his pen around his hand at that moment, his eyes glancing towards the prototype Rev Arm that had been placed on the table as he wrote down on the piece of paper, "Prototype Rev Arm" Right on it.
What purpose did it serve writing such a thing at that moment? Nothing most likely but it was better than doing nothing at that moment. He took a deep breath and stretched for a bit as his eyes stared right back at the night sky before the next word came into his mind at that moment. "The night sky…" Sora simply muttered as he closed his eyes upon writing that, taking a deep breath as another word came into his mind at that very moment.
"Makoto Nanaya…" Sora wrote as that was when he decided to place the pen down and stand up. He stared at the latest thing he had written, his eyes staring right at it. His mind couldn't help but think what she was going through at the very moment on the other side. He wondered if Amy was capable of opening a portal that would allow someone to observe what is happening on the other side of a timeline, a sort of viewing portal only available for observers.
But the more he thought about it, the more he figured such a thing was an impossible thing to ask. If Observers could observe with viewing portals, that would have been made a bare minimum for the master unit to implement. Even if he thought that it was possible, it was more than likely limited to strong observers only and Amy's only job description was being a protector of the Azure itself. It was then he wrote the word Azure as that was another thing his mind wondered about.
What is the Azure in the first place? Everyone who knows about it talks about it like it's some divine being? Is it really a god like they make it out to be or is it something beyond his actual comprehension? He shook his head at that moment, realizing he was allowing his mind to dominate his very thoughts as he felt tempted to go for a walk at that moment. Yes, maybe a walk would be for the best as if he kept overthinking things too much like he was at that moment, he may very well end up making a mistake in a fight by having these random thoughts in his head.
As he walked down the empty hallways of the base, he couldn't help but feel a sense of deja vu hit him at that moment. Wasn't this the same thing he experienced just a few days ago but instead of this nice little building it was a desolate wasteland? He cannot help but chuckle a little, hearing his own voice echo throughout the large hallway as he felt the memory of that horrid time hit him like a wave. It was then he looked at his hand before slowly placing it on his chest.
How long was he in such a wasteland for? Time felt non existent at that place and his memory of his time there was hazy at best. The only thing he really remembered was how he got there and how long it took but the more he tried to figure out how he got out of there… he cannot help but feel like either something was trying to prevent him from remembering such a detail or he does remember it but forgets it as soon as he does. Regardless of reason, he just knew that his time there was simply a living hell and the only thing that made living in such a hell possible was the simple thought of the woman he loved.
His hand reached out for his chest, reaching out for the place a person's heart would be as he could feel his own chest for a moment and closed his eyes. His mind went towards what he needed to do and wondered why he was so nervous to go and do what was necessary. Was it because he was nervous about the chance of him failing to return to Makoto? Or is it the opposite, that he would succeed in getting the goal he desired but still find Makoto forgetting his existence regardless of his efforts?
"My to think I would find you in a place like this?.." A voice spoke, a voice that Sora was all too familiar with as he did not bother panicking at that moment as he took a deep breath in an attempt to not let his anger get the better of him at that moment. "What is with my luck finding people who I really do not want to meet… Relius Clover." Sora said as he turned towards the sound of the voice as Relius made himself appear from behind one of the pillars the hallway had.
"How on Earth are you the only person I meet that can clearly knows who the hell I am. Tells me the Azure is doing a shit job if it cannot wipe me out from your stupid memory." Sora said, unable to hold his urge to hurl insults at Relius's way. "I have my methods...methods I do not feel the need to share with the likes of you." Relius said as Sora felt the urge to just shoot him at that moment as he pulled out his revolver to do so.
"Please do try to show restraint. I am merely observing this time around." Relius said as Sora tilted his head. He shouldn't be wasting his time and breath speaking to this asshole and just put a bullet on his head at that moment and get on with his life but something about the way Relius handled himself told him that there was more to what he had just heard and that he needed to hold back just a little bit… at least until he confirmed what he wanted.
Sora: Really now? Give me a good thing you are observing right now that would warrant me not blowing your brains out right at this moment.
Relius: Why, I am merely observing the fact that you represent what Makoto Nanaya has managed to achieve and what I seek to do, overwrite the rules given by the Master Unit.
Sora:… So you know what happened to her huh… Do you
Relius: Oh nothing of that sort. I have been merely observing this whole time. Watching her from a distance ever since she piqued my interest.
Sora: So you have been doing observation on Makoto or whatever shit you want to call it. Tell me why you are doing so right now or I swear to god nothing in this world will save you from my wrath.
Relius was rather impressed by the language that Sora was using at that moment told him all he needed to know about the man in front of him and how much the significance of Makoto Nanaya meant to him. Even if he could easily block the use of a firearm with his various gears and mechanical arms, that was not why he came here at that moment. "Surely you jest? You of all people must know why I do what I do… after all, we do have a history do we not?" Relius questioned.
It was at that moment Sora did not hesitate to fire a bullet right at Relius's way, his gun echoing all around the hallway as Sora himself crashed right at a pillar. When he recovered from the recoil, he saw the now familiar magenta sleeve of the mechanical doll Ignis protecting her master at that moment from what would have been fatal damage as Sora glared at Relius at that moment. "I know we have a history. But you and Makoto do not. So don't go lumping her with your grand goals at the end of the day you damn creep." Sora said as Relius sighed at that moment.
"Such barbaric actions are not necessary you know. I understand words you know." Relius said as that prompted Sora to fire another shot right at Relius which Ignis blocked a shot and was ready to lunge herself right at Sora's direction. "I will stop being a barbarian when you answer my damn answer already." Sora said as Relius sighed upon hearing what Sora had said and shook his head. He would give a lecture on such actions being unnecessary but he could tell that Sora had a lot on his mind and he was eager to get any kind of answer.
"If you are wondering about the safety of your most treasured loved one, Makoto Nanaya is fine. She is in a place I cannot touch even if I wanted to." Relius replied as Sora tightened his grip on the revolver upon hearing that. Relius was quick to realize that the way he phrased it could suggest that she was under his possession and while he would have liked to have the chance to personally and slowly turn her into the detonator she was meant to be, circumstances had changed and he needed to show more tact.
"If you are thinking she is under my care, as much as that is a disappointing news for me to say, she is currently under the care of another." Relius explained. This was enough to give Sora some relief as he took a deep breath and lowered his weapon. While he still did not trust the man for a singular second, he could tell that Relius was here genuinely to do something else and did not expect to run into him at that moment, soe the very least he could give the man his supposed conversation. "I only talk without the killer doll near us." Sora said as Relius sighed and looked at Ignis at that moment.
He would prefer to have Ignis close by to act in case Sora used the opportunity given at that moment to take his head off but if he tried to have Ignis hide in her space, Sora himself may see through it and just shoot him at that moment. Regardless of whether the person in front of him has intentions of holding his end of the bargain, Relius was prepared for the worst and dismissed Ignis in front of Sora's eyes.
"Now Talk. What is happening to Makoto right now." Sora demanded as much to Relius's surprise, Sora willingly holstered his gun right in front of his face. Was this Sora letting himself be relaxed or is this a way for Sora to test him and make sure he can be trusted? That is left to be seen but Sora's action presented further caution from the masked man as he answered promptly. "She is under the care of the Professor Kokonoe of your timeline. I would tell you more but right now, the woman has found a way to suppress any attempts to observe her location at that moment." Relius explained as Sora knew very well not to trust any word of this man but he knew that there may be some truth to his words.
"And what is she doing with that Professor Kokonoe? Working for her? Doing tasks?" Sora questioned as Relius chuckled. "Oh the complete opposite really. Thanks to your involvement with that timeline, everything has been thrown over it's head. She has become quite reckless in her attempts to bring you back, even going as far as to use her own soul as the catalyst for something quite drastic." the moment Relius said those words, he could feel Sora wanting to shoot him at that moment, put a bullet right at his head and move on.
He could tell that Sora was thinking that he was being lied to at that moment and that Relius was just stalling at that moment but Relius knew much more than what he was actually letting upon. He grinned a little at the knowledge he possessed and pondered if he should just tell him to see what kind of reaction Sora's soul would make at that moment. He could see the journey it had gone through and was the same unique soul it was before he was erased from the world by the master unit.
"I cannot explain it well myself for my own observation abilities are quite limited. But let us just say that the woman currently resides in the care of Professor Kokonoe under a coma, her soul currently trapped inside a long forgotten relic of the Dark War." the moment Relius mentioned the words coma, that made Sora think of the various possibilities. This now told Sora that there were two people saying that Makoto was currently unconscious in a way and that made him feel certain that Makoto was currently in a coma at that moment.
Was that a wise thing to decide? Trust the words of a couple of people who are well known for having good reasons to lie and them think they have earned his trust in the process? Regardless of whether something is wise or not, he needed to consider the fact that they may be telling him the truth at that moment and go with the assumption that Makoto right now was currently in a coma and that she was at least in a safe place and not in the proximity of people who would be eager to put a knife at her chest.
"What's this relic you are talking about?" Sora questioned but now it was Relius's turn to ask a question. "If you would like for me to answer your question, please answer mine first if you so may. Why have you not yet return to your own timeline?" Relius questioned as Sora couldn't help but feel insulted. Relius was the same man after all, only caring about his tests and what they can provide to him at the end of the day.
"I was going to return to my timeline soon. I just only wanted to ensure that I knew the risk doing so and not take any leaps of faith." Sora explained as Relius nodded his head at that. "Ahhh, truly a measured response and an equally reasonable thought. Not many individuals would recklessly toss themselves into a cauldron and those that do without considering the risks are merely idiots." Relius said as Sora wanted to pull his gun out and shoot Relius at that moment and his soul flaring up told Relius that he may have teased a bit too far and he should answer Sora's question at that moment.
"The relic in question is something that can be considered a rarity for even the Dark War. Something truly lost to time." Relius explained as Sora rubbed his forehead as he wondered where this was going. "This relic unfortunately has been lost to time… and it's not just because the information about it has been lost to time at the end of the day." Relius continued as Sora couldn't help but feel a chill crawl up his back at that moment.
"Are you trying to imply that the information about this relic has been erased… just like how I was supposed to be?" Sora said as Relius couldn't help but smile widely at that, a rare expression that gave even a man like Sora a shiver to his back as he did not like seeing the man smile for any reason. "Indeed I am. It is good to see that you are at least capable of such higher thinking." Relius explained as Relius boldly began to approach Sora at that moment. "Yes. The item in question is similar to you. A piece of something that had to be erased from history lest it's contents be exposed. A sort of pandora's box if you are so keen on putting words to it."
The more Sora learned about Makoto's current circumstances, the more he felt a chill go down his back. He wanted to reject what he was hearing at that moment but he could not deny that what he was hearing may actually be the truth. He knew Makoto and from the last time he had seen her, she had gotten herself into quite the reckless situation, losing her arm in the process. "So what. That's it? You came here to tell me all of that while coming here for a short visit." Sora said as Relius chuckled upon hearing that.
"Why of course not. Not even I could predict that you would be here in the first place. I just happen to be here genuinely to observe something else." Relius explained as Sora realized if he kept doubting everything Relius said, he would just give himself a headache in the process. He needed to just get straight to the point and try and get Relius to leave the area or else things may get worse. "Then you better get the hell out of here, you saw what you want already right?" Sora questioned as Relius decided to not say a word at that, chuckling at that.
"Normally I would...but this time, I do have some additional business. Do you not agree, guardian of the Azure." The moment Relius said those words, Ignis appeared above to stop an attack that Amy was planning to deliver. Amy showed a face of disappointment as she jumped off the doll and stood beside Sora at that moment. "Damn you, you monster." Amy said as Sora was simply surprised that Amy was listening to their conversation in the first place, let alone being in the perfect position to dive down and deliver a fatal blow to the man.
"Tell me, how long were you listening to our conversation." Relius questioned as Amy simply glared at him. "Long enough to know that you are just as dangerous as Es said you were. How the hell have you gained the ability to observe?" Amy said as Relius made a small coy smile as that was enough to creep out Amy in the process. "Long enough for me to do what I need to do. Do not worry about such things Miss Guardian. All I simply do is just observe the people that interest me." Relius explained but that was enough to make Amy further distrust him.
"You are aware of the power being an observer has correct? How am I to trust what you say when your actions over the various timelines suggest otherwise." Amy said as there was another thing that nagged at the back of her head. "And how do you still retain your memory of Sora Minakaze when the Master Unit has already wiped away all evidence of the Error from all timelines. You shouldn't be able to remember anything about Sora at this point." Amy questioned as that was a good point for her to bring up that Sora did not realize.
His mind had been so focused on the danger in front of him that he forgot the fact that Relius was able to remember him clearly. Was he beginning to lose his touch for sensing danger? "I do have my ways of retaining my memories. Most of which do involve the use of a certain meddling squirrel." Relius said as Amy realized what he meant by that choice of words. "You are using your observation of Makoto Nanaya to maintain knowledge of the Error." Amy quickly deduced as Relius clapped at that.
"Indeed I am. That is how I am able to remember the individual known as the Continuum Error while able to maintain my knowledge of what has happened in previous timelines… speaking of which." Before Amy could say anything further, she and Sora sensed danger coming their way as Sora jumped away from Amy as Ignis tried to stab her at that moment with her large nail like fingers. Amy was able to block the attack coming her way with ease, not even flinching as Sora got a good glimpse of the clash in front of his eyes.
"I must file a complaint to the Master Unit in her meddling of my plans… but also give her a gift for presenting to me the closest version of the perfect soul I will ever get for the Detonator." Relius said as Sora felt a pang hit his heart at that moment as he instinctively reached out to touch his chest at that moment. Something about the way Relius worded that sentence made him feel bad and he did not like the choice of words Relius had said at that moment as he pulled out his gun once again to point it at Relius's direction.
"Are you sure you should be pointing your weapon towards me and not her?" Relius said as Amy felt a chill go up her back as Ignis began to slowly circle around her, exposing Amy to Sora's crosshairs at that moment. "She is a part of the reason why you are in your current predicament. She put you through so much pain and suffering. Would it not be in your good interests to eliminate her instead?" Relius said as Amy was quick to catch what he was trying to do at that moment.
"Don't trust that man! You know what he is capable of!" Amy demanded as Relius shook his head at that. "Is that really your defense? Try to appeal to my apparent shadiness?" Relius said as Amy bit down on her lips. "What has this woman really done for you? All she and her fellow guardian have done is try to impede your progress and try to hasten your destruction? Don't you think it's lunacy to be working with such an individual?" Relius questioned as Sora looked at his gun at that moment.
There is some truth to the words that Relius was speaking at that moment. It was lunacy for him to even consider helping either individual at that moment. Both individuals have tried to ruin his life in more ways than one and he had no obligation to assist them in any way. He could step to the side and let them duke it out while watched but deep down he knew doing something like that wouldn't sit right with him. Relius could see the indecision plastered on Sora's face as well as his soul drifting side to side, stuck at a crossroads.
Not much is known about the man called Relius Clover. Some say that he just appeared one day at an NOL base and was immediately promoted to Colonel by the imperator despite showing no actual battle prowess to justify his rank. Relius soon proved his colleagues wrong thanks to his unique set of skills as he began to put them to work at that moment against Sora. "I must ask, you must be aware of this woman's constant attempts to correct the timeline. Especially in terms with the woman you love." Relius questioned as Sora swallowed his saliva at that sentence while Amy sweated.
"You know that guardians like her are fervent in their desires to see the timeline corrected to an acceptable degree. Are you aware of what kind of methods they employ?" Relius questioned as he knew his questions were obvious and leading somewhere. But the fact that they were that obvious yet Sora had no retort to his words was clear to see as his Soul shifted even more in confusion. It was clear that these thoughts weighed heavily on Sora's mind.
"So what do you think has happened to your dear beloved while you are away? All while she retained her memories of you and constantly sought a way to bring you back." Relius said as Sora's soul began to straighten. Relius was beginning to understand the fulcrum of Sora Minakaze. A Fulcrum could be described as one's center, what gives a person meaning in their life. Most souls lack such fulcrums, often becoming spread apart and adrift, but the few individuals who do possess such fulcrums are the ones who make great material.
"They would try to erase her memory of course. Bargain with her...and…" Sora paused before he finished speaking. He knew what the final resort would be as his gaze went to Amy as she struggled to hold back the pressure that Ignis was applying. She could see that Sora was listening to everything that Relius was saying and she couldn't deny what he was saying as it was all the truth. If she tried to lie, she knew she would simply further strengthen Relius's case against her. She had to listen to the man speak and hope for a chance to speak.
"And when those did not work, they attempted what they know best. Eliminate the target." Relius said as Sora's eyes went to Amy but he kept his gun trained at Relius. He may not be pointing the gun at her but she could feel daggers being pointed right at her as Sora's gaze was unrelenting. "...I won't deny, yes we originally tried reasoning with her, but eventually had to use more drastic measures." Amy said as Sora took a deep breath.
His hand trembled for a bit, wanting to point his gun at Amy right at that moment. It took everything inside him to not shoot Amy at that moment irrationally as Amy could see the struggle that Sora was having at that moment. She should say something at that moment but what should she say? If she said something wrong, that may just make Sora shoot her even more. They might be under an agreement but that doesn't mean much in the end when personal matters are involved.
"Did that involve trying to kill her at the end." Sora sternly questioned as Amy felt the urge to remain quiet at that moment as she knew he knew he had a rough idea of what was going on at that moment. If she remained quiet, she would either reaffirm the thoughts in his head or he would misunderstand what her silence meant and just shoot her at that moment. "...Yes. We decided that was our only option at that moment. In fact… that's the reason why she is in a coma right now."
The moment Sora heard that, he immediately pointed his gun at Amy's way. Relius grinned a bit, deciding to observe and see what Sora would do now as his eyes glared angrily at Amy at that moment. His soul flared up with anger, screaming in a wide variety of directions that all pointed towards Amy at that moment. "Then tell me… the truth… How did Makoto end up in a coma. Before I put you in a coma myself." Sora demanded, his eyes glaring as Amy wanted to hide so badly at that moment.
Amy took a deep breath and closed her eyes. How does she explain what she witnessed that day? Should she even go through much detail? How many words would she be afforded if she told him what he wanted to hear and what if Sora was just seeking confirmation bias and wanted to shoot her anyways. All of these thoughts and more zoomed past her mind. She could feel the weight of the world about to crush her at that moment when as if a moment of clarity hit her when she remembered something from a long long time ago.
'If the truth must be told. Tell it and hold no detail back. To hold the truth is to make light of a person's desires for closure.' Amy told herself, remembering the words of a person she held deeply in her heart as Sora felt a brief breeze hit him at that moment. "Me and Es tracked Makoto down to a cave. We tried to take her down then and there but in desperation, Makoto stabbed herself with a katana and engulfed herself in a black like substance." Amy explained, Sora listening to her at that moment as he held back the urge to shoot at that moment.
"We couldn't stop her. Hell we didn't expect her to do something like that. Either we pushed her to the brink and she did so under duress… or she had prompted to do so." Amy continued as Sora thought about what Amy said and realized there could have been some truth to what Amy had said. "Form the contract… Make us whole. Balmung." Sora said out loud as the name Balmung was enough to make both Amy and Relius look at each other. Relius's face wore a face of ever growing curiosity while Amy knew what Sora was talking about and was trying to hide her shocked expression.
"But that is what really caused Makoto's current coma. If I could, I would have not made her so desperate to do what she did. Even if you return now… there's no way to know if she would wake up anytime soon." Amy explained as Sora took a deep breath and looked up at the ceiling at that moment. Various thoughts raced through his mind as he did not know how to feel at that moment. He pondered on what to do now as his mind went to the very first person he met, the person that lit up the darkness in his life.
"Alice…" Sora muttered as the very person he remembered in his life and the person who gave the empty shell in front of her the start of life. As his mind went through the various memories he had of that woman, the way she lived and the day she died, his mind drifted towards several other people that he met thanks to that fateful meeting. As soon as he finished that soul searching at that moment, Sora immediately fired a bullet right at Relius, forcing him to make Ignis come back to him the moment he noticed the barrel of the gun going towards him.
Normally, the shot would have sent him flying and he would have slammed on a pillar, but as if he gained clarity or resolve, he barely budged when he pulled the trigger for this shot. He did not know why this one particular shot failed to send him flying or why the recoil seemed to vanished but all he knew was he fired and he remained still for the first time since he got this gun. "...I will choose to handle her in my own way. But that will not be with you around here." Sora said as Relius could now see the waves of souls moving away from Amy and now directing themselves upon him.
"It seems that you have made your decision.. Mr Minakaze." Relius said as he remained stone cold on the outside but on the inside, couldn't help but find this result rather satisfactory to what he wanted to achieve. While Sora did not necessarily crumble in the way he expected, he could also now start to see the pull that the soul known as Sora Minakaze had, why the strings of the ideal detonator were drawn towards him. There was also the revelations that Amy had revealed about Makoto's coma and as well, the name Balmung.
"Very well then. I shall retreat for now. But do know this, Even if you do return to your timeline, you are still nothing but an Error at the end of the day. Do not forget the purpose being an Error brings." Relius explained as Sora kept quiet and fired another shot at that moment without even hesitating. Ignis easily blocked it and charged right for Sora, sensing that her master was in danger as Sora's own blood lust began to leak at that moment.
"As if I would trust the words of someone who hides his true face behind a mask like you do…" Sora said as Relius felt a portal open behind him. Phantom must have been observing this whole thing and was preparing to intervene should it have been necessary. Relius found the gesture unnecessary but couldn't help but be grateful to his colleague's thoughtfulness. Before he left though, he couldn't help but decide to impart some parting words for Sora to keep in mind.
"A mask is a way to hide one's own true intentions to the world yes. But a mask can also be used to unveil a person's true self. If you ever bother to remember my words, do try to think what they mean… if they even matter to you in the first place." Relius said as Ignis pulled back, covering the front of her master from any possible bullets that Sora may try to fire at that moment. Sora did not pull the trigger however as soon the two individuals walked their way back to the portal behind them, looking at the two individuals in front of them as Relius left the scene with a small smile on his face.
At that moment, Amy took a deep breath as she dropped down to her knees. Sora approached her as she heard him holster his gun as he raised his hand right in front of her face as she stared at the gesture with some confusion on her face. "What? I cannot help you up?" Sora questioned as Amy looked away for a bit before accepting his hand, letting him pick her up as her gaze looked at him at that very moment which made him raise his eyebrow at that moment.
"Can you tell me… did you hear what you said correctly, something about Balmung." Amy explained as Sora nodded his head at that. "Form the contract, Make us whole, Balmung. That was the sentence. Does that ring a bell to you?" Sora questioned as Amy looked at the ground as she contemplated the words she had heard. She did not know how to respond to hearing the name as she shook her head at that moment. "It's familiar to me… but I don't know why you would know that name." Amy explained as Sora wanted to question her about that.
As if on cue, he felt a ringing on his head as he couldn't help but groan at his bad luck. He had hoped that by going out of his room for a bit to take a walk he would have a clearer mind. Instead all he did was simply meet a person he did not want to meet and now raised further questions to a person that he right now has some reservations talking to at that moment for obvious reasons. A ringing on the head was the last thing he wanted at that moment as he felt all of the strength he had kept to keep him standing leave him, prompting Amy to catch him at that moment as she saw that he had passed out.
"Balmung… It can't be…" Amy said as she herself was still processing everything she had just heard. She was in an equal state of shock from the revelation. She had expected her plan to backfire and for Sora to shoot her at that moment. But the fact that her plan had succeeded and she had heard a name that she had not heard for a long time now made her remember things she should have remembered. Either it was because she chose to forget or she had been a guardian for so long that such memories were considered irrelevant until now.
As she gently placed Sora on the ground, Amy herself sat down on the ground as she could feel the presence of her fellow guardian appear beside her. "You were watching in secret weren't you Es." Amy said as Es nodded her head at that. "I would have appeared and ensured that nothing bad would have happened to you should the worst come to pass. It appears that my worry was not needed." Es replied as Amy nodded her head at that.
"Indeed it wasn't… but at the same time thank you." Amy said as Es nodded her head at that. "But still… to think that Balmung is involved in all of this…" Es said, making Amy nod her head in a serious tone as she realized now what they may be potentially dealing with. "Es… I don't think it would be right to keep this a secret from Sora. Do I have permission to tell him about Balmung?" Amy questioned as Es closed her eyes and relayed Amy's message to the Master Unit.
It took a little bit of time but soon, Amy got her answer when a voice opened up in her mind. It was intangible and spoke in a language barely understood but Amy's nodding told Es that the permission was granted to her at that moment. Amy took a deep breath at that moment as she looked at Sora who was passed out on the ground. "Let us bring back Sora to his room for now and let him rest. I don't know what happened but something tells me that he is going through something right now." Amy explained as Es nodded her head, helping Amy to pick Sora up so they can bring him back to his room. As they did so, Amy's mind went to only one thing at that very moment.
'...Father…'
