Distortion 53

Previously on Canon Distortion…

Sora Minakaze and Azrael fought in the arena with everything they had, well Sora in this case. And like most people would expect, combined with his now weakened state of power and also painful reuse of his drive, the Mad Dog was able to eventually overpower the Error. As Sora laid on the crossroads of life and death, just where it will take him as the Mad Dog continues to hunt for what he considers to be the strongest prey the world can provide him

And now, the continuation of Canon Distortion…

Everything was quiet at the arena. The mass crowd that would have gathered to see such action was gone. The announcer who would report on what was happening in front of them was forced to flee as he had just been shot at. The NOL soldiers responsible for containing the mess that was in front of them unable to do so as the emergency barriers meant to contain dangerous fights had been deployed, keeping them safe from the monster that was in front of them.

The monster in question as all of the cameras that remained functional were focused on? The Mad Dog, Azrael. He had just finished playing with his latest food and while the man behind him was a suitable side dish, his power left him lacking despite his fancy technique. Even a barrier like this would be useless to contain such a monster like him as he decided he may as well start hunting for his prey particularly the Black Knight who advertised this tournament and the Grin Reaper, the tournament's prize.

The Grim Reaper and Black Knight themselves were standing behind one of the two metal gates that separated them from the Mad Dog but more importantly, the man who was bleeding out at that moment from them. They had all but given up on trying to force their way through and were now just waiting for Hunter to come in and make short work of the obstacle in front of him. "Kagura! How is he out there!?" Celica asked, concern deep in her voice as Kagura took a peek for Celica to see the condition of their mysterious interloper.

"Not good Celica. He's breathing right now but the longer it takes us to break this damn gate down the more likely he's not going to make it." Kagura said as Ragna couldn't help but clench his fist at that moment. "Dammit, How reckless can someone be?" Ragna angrily expressed as he felt a sense of frustration on being unable to help the injured man right now due to circumstances that were not his. "Why what's this? Caring for another mongrel that is not you for once?" Rachel questioned as Ragna scoffed that that.

"I don't know if you can read the room Rabbit but now is not the time." Ragna said, making Rachel nod her head upon hearing his response. They heard the sounds of groaning and moaning as they turned to see the mercenary Bullet slowly sit up, her body still wounded but strong enough to stand up on her own strength. "What….What's happening out there." Bullet questioned as she walked towards the gate to try and get a view of what was going on.

"If I have to put it to words, Not good right now." Ragna said as Bullet immediately looked to see that she was surrounded by the Grim Reaper and the Black Knight, the two people that she had come to this tournament in the first place for as Kagura was quick to raise his hands. "Woah Woah now. We aren't your enemies right now. We still got the problem of a mad dog to deal with right now." Kagura explained as Bullet herself peered through a hole to see the Mad Dog, his eyes looking around to see where his prey had went to and on the opposite side was the man who had saved her, bleeding out and mangled up as she reflexively tried to break the gate down only to feel the barrier was still up.

"Then what are you all doing? Get this gate open now and let's go save him already!" Bullet shouted as she couldn't help but wonder why she felt the way she did. "No! You are going to stay here! You're injured right now." Celica explained as Bullet wanted to fight back against such accusation but immediately held her sides, feeling something reopen when she had opened her voice. She hated to admit it, but the girl in front of her was right about her current fighting condition.

It was at that moment that everyone heard a pair of footsteps approaching their way. Out of instinct, they drew their weapons and assumed their fighting stances, not sure to expect either friend or foe at that moment. "S-Sorry I am late you guys!" A voice shouted as hearing that voice was enough to make everyone relax their stances for the time being as a man with red hair approached the group. He was wearing a simple pair of clothes, a red shirt and black pants with black steel toed boots but paired that simple set with more tactical items.

The first thing that was obvious was the jacket he wore. This black jacket was more of a half jacket, going halfway to where his ribs were as on the left arm side of the jacket was protected with what looked to be a series of gunmetal grey plates that were stacked and ribbed to form a protective layer against blunt force trauma. His feet also had shin guards that were styled in this manner as this outfit was for minimal but important protection as Kagura and Ragna breathed sighs of relief upon seeing the man arrive just in time.

"About damn time kid! We don't have much time right now!" Ragna explained as Hunter nodded his head, understanding what that meant as he reached for his side and pulled out a massive dragonic maw from his person. The intricate runic patterns adorning it's head drew the attention of Bullet as she realized who this person was right away. "You're the Dragon of Kagutsuchi, Hunter Long!" She said in surprise as Hunter tilted his head towards her way but decided to focus on the situation in front of him instead of getting distracted.

"Alright. Stand back everyone." Hunter said as he had the maw touch the front fo the gate. As soon as it did, what looked to be a seal for an ars magus spell began to manifest itself in front of the gate, slowly growing until it was big enough for everyone to fit through. While Hunter knew he wouldn't be strong enough to completely shatter the barrier in front of them, he could at least bore his way through as he took a deep breath.

As he did so, the markings on the Ars Magus circle that resembled runic markings began to glow and spin around the ars magus circle itself. Hunter was taking a deep breath because he knew what was going to happen next the moment he broke through this gate. He was going to have to come face to face against the mad dog himself. He was prepared to fight against such a monster but recent events have shaken him to his core. Especially with what had happened with Makoto in that cave and how he and Noel let their eyes off her for a second and now she was currently in a coma.

Regardless, he cannot let his emotions get the better of him at that moment as he raised the maw high up in the air, Popping a blade out of it and brought it down, ready to cut the seal and in turn activate it to blow a hole up. But before he could he felt his whole body freeze just before his blade could touch the seal as he felt his hand tremble greatly upon him realizing that he had just stopped himself from doing it.

"Hey...What are you waiting for kid!?" Ragna questioned as Kagura himself could sense something was wrong as Rachel quietly observed what was happening in front of her. "Is something the matter Hunter? Were you hurt while getting here?" Celica questioned, wanting to reach her hand out to check for any possible injuries on him. Out of nowhere, the hand holding onto the maw was suddenly set alight, causing Hunter to drop the maw to the ground as his hand was burned slightly.

"Hunter!" Celica exclaimed as she reacted quickly to patch up Hunter's hand, healing it with her magic as Kagura now knew it was time to get involved. "Hey Hunter. What's going on?" Kagura questioned but soon realized that Hunter was not paying attention to him at that moment as his eyes were set on the maw on the ground. Hunter reached out to try and grab the maw but flames emerged once again to prevent him from doing so.

"What...Why…" Hunter muttered before his eyes flared up in anger. "What the hell is going on with you! DRACO!" Hunter shouted, catching everyone off guard. If it was not for the fact that he was gazing at the Maw on the ground, the lost Nox Nyctores, Mucro Flagro: Draco, everyone in the room would have thought that he was merely talking to himself at that moment. Everyone wanted to ask him what he meant at that moment only to hear a voice laughing.

"OH...So that is where all of you were." The mad dog said as everyone turned to see one of his eyes peeping in, staring at the high quality meals in front of him "The Black Knight, The Grim Reaper, A vampire and...Oh, even the Dragon Of Kagutsuchi is here?! What a buffet for the eyes!" Azrael shouted, gleeful that he had managed to find his prey as a grin began to grow on his face. Everyone except Hunter subconsciously assumed their battle positions except Celica who took cover behind Ragna as she could sense the enemy in front of her was truly a dangerous foe.

...As the Mad Dog prepared himself to eat the meal in front of him…

SORA POV

Where...Where am I?.. I...I need to open my eyes, get a look of where I am right now. The last thing I remembered was the world around me going black...and the Mad Dog walking away from me. No matter how hard it felt right now, I needed to open my eyes and assess the situation in front of me before things got worse. It took a lot of effort from my part but eventually I was able to open my eyes but all I could see was black all over again.

Not again… Not this darkness… Not after I worked hard to get away from this very darkness. Now I find myself back here all over again. I tried to muster the strength to even raise my hand to see if it was just the world around me that was dark but for some reason, my right arm just felt like lead. It simply refused to obey me. I tried to look down instead but my body just felt like lead and even my head refused to obey me at that moment.

Maybe it was my body trying to protect me from seeing something I shouldn't see but at the same time I knew that if I didn't see this through, I would be just lying to myself. I began to power through the pain, finding the strength within me to fight past everything and eventually look down to see what I needed to see. What I saw...was absolutely nothing as I was only just a head at this point, even my neck was gone at this point.

I wanted to freak out when I realized what had happened to me but I knew I should stay calm. This is all just in my head. This is all in my head. This is all...in my head… This isn't all in my head right now. Somehow...Some way, I am alive with only just a head and that is terrifying for me to think. I tried looking down again, hoping my eyes were just playing tricks on me but looking at the same sight again told me that I was looking at reality.

If I had my body, I would be trembling right now. Yet I know I cannot let this overwhelm me. I closed my eyes and tried to focus on my drive to try and grant me back my body. I closed my eyes as hard I could and began to imagine myself having my body once again. Soon an image began to appear in my head as I began to focus on that image before bringing that out to reality. When I opened my eyes, I looked down and hoped to see my body once again only to be greeted by a sight I couldn't believe what I was looking.

My body had returned but it wasn't my own body. Instead it was just this black mass that had red vein lines all over and even my face felt different as it just felt smooth, almost as if I had no human features left on me. I reflexively touched it and felt all over to confirm that what I was touching was my own body at that moment and could feel my heart drop when I had confirmed what I was looking at was truly the body I had right now.

If it wasn't clear enough, if there was still room to doubt at that moment… there was none left anymore as I dropped to my knees, the reveal making me lose my breath. So… that voice that spoke to me just before I got back was telling the truth. There is no other way to describe the body I had right now, No human or beastkin has a body like I currently do. A body that was nothing but black mass given form to something vaguely human like.

I really am just a Black Beast, The very same one that was most likely responsible for causing the Dark War 100 years ago. I wanted to scream at that moment at the horror of what I had just been revealed but my lack of mouth prevented me from doing so as I tried to close my eyes to avoid looking at myself but it seemed that this form lacked any sort of eyes for me to block, thus preventing me from not staring at the thing I had just become.

I raised my left arm, now restored in the same black mass that it was now as I moved it a few times. It truly felt like an extension of myself, as if I never lost an arm in the first place as I shook my head and began to pull on this arm with my other arm. I wordlessly yet painfully screamed as with inhuman strength, I easily ripped away the arm, leaving it a stump once again for me to stare at. Despite having the chance to have my arm again, I refuse to let it be like this, not without reason.

I reached out for where my mouth would be and began to dig down deeply, plunging my fingers, now sharp and claw like to carve out a small hole before ripping out a mouth as my voice came screaming out, echoing throughout the room as I immediately collapsed after doing so. The pain my whole body felt at that moment was something I could not describe as I could feel death's bell ring for me as I struggled to stand back up only to feel my muscles give out at that moment, making me lay down on the ground.

Is...Is this how it really ends? With me dying like this surrounded by nothing but darkness? Was the Master Unit really right in labeling me as the Continuum Error? A being whose existence was a mistake created to erase another mistake? No… NO that's wrong. That's all wrong. None of that really matters to me, matters to who I am… I knew deep inside I did not give a damn about all of the world and god's bullshit.

I didn't fight because I wanted to be recognized by someone nor because I found god's injustice against me to be too cruel, I fought because I wanted to get back to the person I cared for. A person who my heart has fallen in love with and is willing to die for over and over again. A person who I wanted to protect when all the other people in my life have died. I wanted to be not just her shield… but be there for her every step of the way.

Makoto...Oh Makoto… I...I...I am such an idiot. Why did I decide it was a good idea to pick a fight with the Mad Dog of all people? Why couldn't I just put my own feelings for another person away and just focus on finding you first? Why couldn't I for once let my heart be cold and ignore the person in front of me when they were in danger and let someone else take over. That Bullet didn't know who I was, hell she wouldn't even care about me with her life being in danger. She would have been fine because everyone else would have protected her.

And even if she died, this is just a possibility for her. She may have died at that moment or maybe she would have lived. She has a second chance or hell, several different chances with all the possibilities that god would have given to her. Me? God had forsaken me, thrown me to the side and wants me gone so it can reset the world without me. It wants a world where I don't exist, where all I had done would be replaced by the people around me. A world without Sora Minakaze.

I don't care about what I have done in my life being taken away from me. The life I had lived? The life I made for myself? All of that, I have lived and no one can take that away from me. But taking away the memories of me that all of the people I loved and cared for have? To strip all of that away from them and let them live their lives without knowing the person named Sora Minakaze existed in their lives? I don't know why but just that thought is enough to make my heart drop as I cannot help but think about Makoto, living in a world where she doesn't even know who I am, falling in love with another person and living a brand new life from there.

If that was the case… then maybe this feeling I have deep inside me would not be as bad as it was. But the fact that Makoto threw all of that away, her past… her present and even her future, All just for someone like me… the fact that when she dies now, that is it for her. The Master unit will not save the memory of the life she lived and will instead just overwrite it completely with a different cast of people. To think Makoto did all of that… and here I am most likely dead at this point throwing all of that away just because I wanted to save some other person the Master Unit most likely would have saved.

How could I have done something as stupid as what I have done at this very moment. There was no taking back what I had done. I had cast my life away and most likely I was heading towards wherever the master unit was to be erased. That was all there was to my life at this point, not a heaven or a hell for me to rest for the rest of my life, but purgatory, my soul cast and excised from the world like a doctor cutting a tumor from the human body.

Yet...despite all of what I had just thought… it was the fact that I most likely let Makoto down at this point that made my heart drop. Not the fact I was going to be erased soon… or even the regret I felt for picking a fight against the Mad Dog severely under prepared and with a death wish and letting others handle him instead who would have had a better time against him. It was the fact that I had thrown away all of Makoto's efforts to get me here in the first place that made my heart sink..

...As all I can do while I wait for my sentence is just weep and cry for the failure I have brought upon myself…

As Sora continued to cry in agony over what he had just done, another person was making their way towards him inside this empty black space. They themselves were obscured in the same black like void that Sora himself was at that point as they had a more distinct female shape to their body. Sora did not notice the person approaching him, too focused on agonizing over his mistake as the person was able to get closer to Sora at that moment and knelt down before him.

They looked up and down to the being in front of them. To them, this person looked like a stranger yet they felt strangely familiar at the same time. They raised their hand, ready to place it on Sora's shoulder as they held back from doing so before proceeding to do it after the initial reluctance wore off. "Who….Who are you?" Sora questioned, unsure of what this person in front of him was as his voice sounded drained at that moment.

Sora waited for the person to respond as he waited for what felt like an eternity for an answer to come his way. When that answer did not arrive, he couldn't help but sigh even further as he looked down once more. "Are you death? Another agent of this world's god? Are you here to take me to the place where souls go to get extinguished?" Sora questioned, his voice sounding lost as the person remained quiet still before deciding to give him a response.

?: And what if I said I was?

Sora: I would say, sure go ahead and take me but at the same time there's no need for you to place your hand on me so I will take that you are not death itself

?: So what do you think I am?

Sora: What do I think you are?.. Well I don't know. I can't really see your face well… and you look like just a female version of what I am right now.

?: Don't you want to take a guess? Take a good guess of what I could be?

"And what purpose would that do for me?" Sora said, sighing as the person simply nodded their head upon hearing this response as they moved their hand away from Sora's shoulder and held the singular hand of Sora at that moment. "Why don't you close your eyes… Close your eyes and focus really hard. Maybe you will see something if you do so." The person questioned as Sora did not know where this was all going.

Should he listen to this person's suggestion? What is stopping them from just taking him out the moment he does so? Is the fact that they are holding his hand suggesting they are truly here to see him in a peaceful manner and not here to take his life? Whatever the case was, Sora felt reluctant to take the plunge before taking a deep breath and deciding to trust the voice, figuring that since he was at death's door and had little option to do anything, what else did he have to lose at that point.

Sora at that moment tried to close his non existent eyes and was surprised to find that he was able to do so. When he did, the person that was in front of him began to become much clearer in his eyes as he gasped upon seeing some key traits that this person had. Her brown hair and large breasts were one thing but the more noticeable thing he noticed was the big fluffy squirrel beastkin tail that swayed behind her as he gasped at that moment as he felt what felt like wet tears come out where his eyes would be.

"Ahh...No...No way…" Sora simply muttered as he opened his eyes once again and now in front of him, he could clearly see it was Makoto Nanaya that was in front of him. Her form looked completely different from what she looked like normally as Sora slowly reached out and touched her own black like face. "Makoto...Is that...really you Makoto?" Sora questioned, his hand trembling as the figure in front of him nodded as Sora closed his eyes, tears emerging out of his eyes as he felt the person he had been looking for hug him back.

"Yes...Yes it's me…" Makoto replied, her voice sounding so distant… so different. Yet the warmth that came from her voice was enough to make Sora feel his heart feel warm. He looked up and down after opening his eyes, unable to believe what he was looking at. "Why...Why do you look like the way you do?" Sora questioned as Makoto paused upon hearing that before giving him a small chuckle to hear.

"Well… Let's say it has been a long story… But we don't really have much time to explain that for now." Makoto explained as Sora paused upon hearing that before nodding his head at that. "A...A long story huh…" Sora said as Makoto noticed his head trying to look away from her, as if there was something in his mind as Makoto could understand why he was trying to do so judging from the tears that were emerging from his own featureless face.

"What's the matter Sora? It's not often I see you crying like this." Makoto asked as Sora sniffed a bit before finally looking away as Makoto made him look her back to wipe away the tears that were coming out of his face. "I...I mean...I… I feel conflicted. On one hand, I am so happy to see you again… but at the same time, I don't know if you are you or just some figment of imagination created by god to mess with me even further." Sora explained as he could hear a small chuckle come out of her voice.

"You're afraid aren't you." Makoto said as Sora looked at her in surprise, not sure how to respond to that claim before just nodding his head in agreement to that statement. "Heh, I did not figure you to be scared of the unknown." Makoto teased as Sora simply shook his head at that moment. Makoto allowed him a few moments to catch a breathe as Sora was trying to compose the words in his head, words he wanted to say in such a long time yet they hung on his mind until he found the courage to speak once again.

"I...It's just, a lot has happened lately and I have tried...really tried my best to find you and….and…" Sora couldn't find the rest of the words he needed to finish his sentence as Makoto noticed the man was trembling with each word he spoke. Even as the black mass he was, he still felt so human as he held the back of Makoto's back and tightly gripped on it with his lone hand. At that moment, Makoto was able to sense a lot of emotions that were coming out from him at that moment, emotions she knew Sora was capable of showing but never showed.

Frustration...Sadness...Anger...Anguish. Makoto felt all of these emotions boiling at the very top of his soul but there was one thing that was missing from him at that moment. "I...I have so much I want to tell you right now. I want to explain what I have been through. I want to hear from you what you have been doing, What kind of trouble you got into while I was away, So many questions that I don't have enough time to ask all of the right now." Sora said, letting all of his heart's questions come out at that moment as Makoto smiled upon hearing that.

"I believe you…" Makoto said as she pulled him closer to her, holding him gently upon doing so as Sora continued to embrace the warmth Makoto brought to him at that moment. "So… the fact that you are able to say all of what you have said means that you haven't given up on things haven't you." Makoto said as Sora simply remained silent upon hearing that before Makoto felt Sora nod his head, moving his head up and down her breasts, making her giggle at that.

"Of course I haven't… All I have done… All I have worked for, it's all for you Makoto. I will keep waiting and chasing after you for as long as I need to do so." Sora explained as Makoto finally understood what was the missing emotion at that moment. "You...You still have hope don't you. Hope that you will be able to meet me someday if you keep trying." Makoto explained, realizing that Sora did not have despair even in this current situation but hope.

"Of course I do dammit. I don't care if this is the fate of the world or god's sick twisted wish for me, As long as I can move this body of mine, I will keep on moving forward." Sora said as the black like mass slowly began to drip away from Sora's body. Slowly revealing the human body that was hidden underneath it as Makoto looked up and down to see Sora slowly regaining his form as something else began to take shape behind him.

The shape at first looked undefined, unrefined and just a wave of different auras clashing against each other to make a form with the black blob. It then began to pulse a red color followed by green as it soon began to resemble more of a creature rather than just a shape of nothing. This creature was not any recorded living natural creature but instead a creature famous for the calamity it would cause and the carnage and destruction it brought all around the world.

"It doesn't matter what stands in my way… Whether that be man, monster or god. As long as I can meet you, hold you in my hands, I could care less what happens to me. I don't care if I have to take the form of a beast to see you again I will live to see you again. I Swear it." Sora said as he slowly opened his eyes to reveal to Makoto the normally blind right eye had now become completely black as a red iris had formed underneath, the form behind him now becoming clear in it's shape for her to see.

She took her time to look at what had formed behind Sora. It was truly a beast of calamity itself, easily towering all which stood in it's way. The Black beast, the thing responsible for causing humanity's near extinction and forcing mankind to go upwards to survive. The fact that a human being could be born from such a being of calamity is enough to make someone a Continuum Error, to deem them too dangerous to be kept in the living world.

The Black beast lowered several of it's heads towards her, their faces growling menacingly as Makoto trembled at the sight of such a creature of legend. But she stood firm at such a sight as she tightened her grip on Sora's body upon hearing his declaration and fearing the worst. "You...You really sound like the kind of person who would do such a thing for a woman like me." Makoto said with a sadness in her voice as that was enough for Sora to look at her as the same black goo like features began to dissolve away from her, revealing the woman he loved underneath.

"It's fine for you to seek power but… but what about me?" Makoto questioned as Sora felt the black goo that was on Makoto's own body dissolve away, feeling her skin touch his face once again as she pulled him away to let him see her whole body in front of his eyes, not minding that he was looking at her in the nude at that moment. "How do you think I will feel if in your quest for power, you lose yourself in the process?" Makoto questioned as Sora stood still, watching and processed what he had just heard.

"I...I don't want to lose you, the man I love because he seek nothing but power. I love the Sora Minakaze that is standing in front of me here and now. Not some creature that just happens to have your name." Makoto said, her voice becoming sadder as Sora could see a few tears emerge out of her own face as he looked down and took a deep breath, wiping her tears in return as he approached her as he made sure she looked at him right at the eyes.

"You don't have to worry about that, because I promise to never ever lose myself in that search for power." Sora explained as Makoto looked at him back in the eyes as he looked away for a bit before grabbing her hand and placing it on his chest. "I refuse to let myself be lost with the whims of the gods or fate. After all, You are the one who gave me the life I am proud to be living right now." Sora said as he made sure Makoto was looking at him right in the eyes as she could see, despite his right eye becoming almost beast like, his left eye remained it's bright brilliant yellow as the Black beast behind him slowly changed from it's red hue to a more greenish hue.

"Even if I have to search for power, Even if it means becoming something more like a monster instead of human… I refuse to give up the one thing that you...Big Sis, Saeko, Everyone at Code Zero, Noel, Tsubaki and Hunter gave me. My heart." Sora then placed his other arm, the stump of a left arm right on Makoto's chest, showing to her that he did not regret his life choices and was willing to sacrifice everything just for her, causing her to cry as Sora wiped away the rest of her tears as the black beast that was behind him now slowly raised it's head, not growling any longer as it became less chaotic and demonic but more normal and straight, like a tamed creature.

"Hehe… Alright." Makoto said with a smile on her face as Sora noticed that her body was beginning to glow a gentle light. Sora panicked a bit deep inside as she placed her hand on the back of his head and slowly placed it on her own forehead. "I'll hold you up to your word Sora Minakaze. You better do your damn best to keep it." Makoto said as she gave Sora Minakaze the biggest smile on her face as she did not hesitate to kiss him at that moment, letting the man feel the warmth her lips brought as he felt her slowly disappear in his arms.

At first, Sora felt a great sadness in his chest as he felt the time he had to look at Makoto's face and body was just too damn short. He wanted it to last much longer as he placed his hand on his chest, his nose smelling the scent of toasted nuts lingering in the air. But that sadness soon faded away when he felt a new warmth enter his chest as he cried and smiled, realizing what that warmth was. "...You better be Makoto. Just watch me." Sora said as he felt another presence in the air.

At first, he felt a blinding blue light strike his eyes, forcing himself to shield his eyes as he looked away briefly. He then felt the light lessen as he was able to look at what caused that flash bang like sensation as he saw it was in fact, a simple blade that glowed blue in front of his eyes. It lacked any of the proper fittings such as a hand guard or cross guard, in fact, it was simply just a blade with the tang made, ready for such a handle to be placed on it.

He couldn't help but stare at the weapon in front of him, confused as to why a weapon was now floating in front of him but the warmth in his heart told him to trust the thing in front of him as he nodded his head and reached out to grab the blade. As soon as he did so, he felt his hand pulse from touching the tang, causing a chain reaction of information to start flowing into his mind. Sora dropped down to his knees as he heard a growl behind him, a growl that he seemed to be subconsciously ignoring what was behind him.

He finally turned around and came to see the same sight that Makoto had seen behind him. Was this always inside him? This beast...creature that nearly destroyed the world? The Black Beast in front of Sora slowly lowered it's head in front of him, allowing Sora to approach it. The blade in his hands glowed as he felt it be pulled towards the Black Beast as he realized he needed to let go of the blade and allow what happens next to happen.

"You...You want this don't you?" Sora questioned and as if understanding his question, the Black beast simply nodded several of it's heads, telling him the answer he wanted. He slowly raised his hand towards the beast as it leaned it's head towards him, one of it's heads pressing itself on his blade as he felt the blade and his hand go inside the beast. The beast then swallowed the blade out of his hand, soon blowing at him a mist that Sora instinctively shielded himself from before realizing it was not harming him in any manner, in fact he could feel his body being rejuvenated from it.

"Is this...Seithr?" Sora thought as he held his head once again, feeling even more memories being drilled at the back of his head. "Will you form the contract with me?" A voice echoed as Sora realized that the voice he had heard came from the voice he heard just the previous trip to this darkness. "Yes… I will sacrifice everything about my life to form the contract. In exchange, I will become your brand new heart." The voice continued as it was clear it was a woman's voice as he felt his body become much lighter as the memories became more clear in his mind.

"I...I experienced...lived through all of that didn't I?" Sora said as the black beast nodded it's head towards him as he saw the Black Beast in front of him slowly dissolve back into the Seithr it was born from. As it did, it began to flow itself to both his eye and stump, giving Sora even more things to process. Now he was not experiencing just memories but also being exposed to truths that the world has tried to hide away from him, things like the boundary and it's true purpose, the azure and what it stood for and finally one of the biggest truths in the world.

"The world...has always been looping?" Sora said as when his eyes opened next, he was greeted to a sight he couldn't believe he was looking at. He couldn't describe what he was looking at other than it was just a giant blue sun that was glowing brightly in front of him. He tried to shield his eye from the sight only to feel his blind eye remain exposed to the sight of the blue sun in front of him. It was then a burning sensation began to overwhelm his eye as he at first screamed out in pain before the pain settled, becoming much more gentler as his mind was processing everything he had just learned as he found himself once again holding the blade that he had just given the Black Beast, the sensation now becoming much more familiar to him.

"This...This is me…" Sora said as he closed his eyes, processing everything he had just learned as he felt a name come up the back of his head at that moment. "Anima...Voluntatis… Balmung." Sora said as the blade soon began to glow the color azure green in front of his eyes as Sora shook his head at that. "No...I am not just that name anymore…" Sora said, the blade slowly becoming Azure blue as Sora realized the light he was looking at was the color of his soul

Sora had to take a moment to process what he had just learned and truths that had been given to him and yet, for the first time in this whole time, he did not feel overwhelmed like he had been on his current situation. In fact, the confusion that once surrounded his mind was now gone, the haze in his mind no longer there as Sora knew what he had to do at this point. Taking a deep breath as he felt his consciousness in the world around him vanish.

...Ready to defy...and redefine the destiny he had been given by the world…

"What a buffet for the eyes!" Azrael shouted as he approached the gate that Kagura, Ragna, Hunter, Rachel, Celica and Bullet were standing behind. Everyone was rightfully panicking as this was the last thing they wanted to have happen. "Uhhh Kokonoe. Any chance that fancy teleporter of yours ready to send our little mad dog to his play pen already?" Kagura questioned as he tightened his grip on his sword, ready for Kokonoe to deliver the bad news he was just waiting for it to come through.

"Sorry Kagura. I just need a few more minutes here to get this done." Kokonoe complained as Kagura sighed upon hearing that. "Well, not all plans go 100% the way you want them to go." Kagura said as Ragna sighed upon hearing that. "Well keep doing whatever you are doing over there professor. We will give you the time you need to get your shit done." Ragna said, pulling out his massive sword and readying himself for combat he turned his head to face Hunter.

"Look man, I don't know what's going on with that weapon of yours but you need to get a grip and get ready already." Ragna said, hoping his words will reach Hunter at that moment as he shook his head. As he did, he could feel the gazes of everyone else land upon him, a weight on his chest having been placed as he slowly reached out for Draco to pick it up. As he did, he felt something in his chest tighten as a wind briefly blew across his face.

"Now which one of you shall I…" Before Azrael could finish his sentence, everyone heard him make an audible gasp as everyone then saw he had just been tossed to the side. Everyone couldn't believe who was responsible for doing such a thing as everyone's attention was once again drawn to who was standing in front of the mad dog, body battered and bruised with blood gushing out of every wound it could as Azrael looked up and couldn't help but feel anger at what has happened.

"What do you think you are doing standing in front of my meal?" Azrael calmly asked, his face twisted to one of anger as everyone watching saw the white haired man who had just been lying on the ground minutes ago back on his feet once again. "Oh no, Kid you have done great but you need to get the hell out of there right now!" Kagura said but the person ignored his advice as Ragna shook his head. "Do you have a death wish? Get the fuck out of there right now!" Ragna shouted as the man they did not know simply supported himself by using the blade to support as much of his weight as it could.

"Please! You are too injured to keep going! You need to get out of there now!" Celica shouted as Bullet looked at the situation in front of her and wanted to shout something out herself… but something at the back of her mind told her not to do such a thing. In fact it was telling her to let it go as she continued to quietly watch what was happening in front of her eyes. "Yeah, you heard them. So why don't you be a good little boy and step aside for my meal already." Azrael said as the man simply remained quiet before taking a deep breath.

"Will you all kindly…. SHUT THE FUCK UP!" The man yelled, as loud as he could as his voice boomed throughout the arena as he raised his bloody right arm towards the air. As he did, everyone's eyes were drawn to it as Celica could feel her own chest begin to tighten, as if the air around her was starting to become much more dense with something, something that was very familiar to her. "Come to me… My heart." the man simply said as without warning, bursting from his hand, a wave of blue light came surging right towards the white haired man's hand as everyone could now feel what Celica was feeling at that moment.

"Ugh...My chest...it feels heavy." Ragna said as he instinctively reached to hold his head with his right arm only to find he could. This alarmed him as he looked and saw that his right eye was open as well. "E-Everyone...be careful, this is...This is seithr." Celica said, nearly collapsing if it wasn't for Bullet catching her in the process. "Wait, Seithr? The fuck. It wasn't that thick around here." Bullet said as Hunter slowly approached the gate to look at the man and what was manifesting in his head in that blue light.

"Why...Who are you…" Hunter said as he couldn't help but be drawn towards the man at that moment, not even bothering to pick up Draco at that moment as Rachel looked on herself as she couldn't help but find everything she was watching to be both amusing and also rather interesting. "So...The Error has defied the fate of the gods after all." Rachel Alucard said to herself quietly but Hunter was able to catch her words as soon the final specs of blue light finished gathering right onto the man's hand and began to take a physical shape, the shape of a blade as Hunter was able to recognize what it was as soon as the light dissipated.

He had only seen it just once in his life and that was when he went to see Makoto while she rested in the special room created just for her. What laid beside her was a blade, nothing particularly remarkable about it as it looked like any normal blade an NOL soldier would be given as standard issue. Yet his eyes couldn't forget it's simplistic shape, much shorter than most weapons as now the white haired man held it in his hands.

"Hey Kagura! What the hell's going on down there!?" Kokonoe questioned Kagura as everyone looked at him confused. "What are you asking me for? I don't even know what's happening?" Kagura explained as Kokonoe groaned at the background. "Well whatever the hell is happening down there, get Hunter to break you guys in and help stop it! That thing that man is holding was the weapon that was found alongside Makoto!" Kokonoe shouted as everyone couldn't help give a shocked expression to everyone else in the room at that moment as they turned to face the man once again.

"Let's fight together...Makoto." The man simply said before without a shred of hesitation stabbing himself in the chest with the blade. Everyone looked at him in shock while Azrael narrowed his eyes, unable to believe what he was just looking at. "What's this? Killing yourself because you couldn't beat me? How petty." Azrael said as the man stumbled for a bit, having to reach for the blade with a motorcycle handle to stop himself from falling over completely as Azrael saw more black blood being spilled out of the man in the process.

"Just...Shut the fuck up...Azrael. And fucking watch me." The white haired man said, daring to insult the Mad Dog much to his surprise as everyone could see the sword stabbed through his chest and clearly where his heart was be slowly pulled out by what at first seemed to be just ars magus but it soon became clear that wasn't it. Slowly everyone could see a clear outline of a black mass start to pull and tug on the blade, forming from where the man had stabbed himself to connect to the stump at his left arm.

Slowly the shape of this hand became more and more human like before finally becoming a proper human arm but just in an all black color. Ragna felt a great unease hit his body as he reflexively reached towards his right arm, holding it as it too was similar to the arm that was in front of him. Azrael had another question that was on his mind. "Is that An Azure Grimoire you just stabbed yourself with? Who knew that more than one existed." Azrael said as everyone thought that Azrael was right in his guess at that moment.

"No… Not the Azure." Hunter immediately retorted for everyone else except Azrael to hear. "That thing is no grimoire… But the beast of calamity itself…" Hunter continued as everyone couldn't help but wonder what he meant as even he himself couldn't help but wonder why he said what he said as his eyes were simply focused on the white haired man in front of him, As if his attention was fully drawn to what he was going to do next.

"The time to defy fate is now." The white haired man said as a seal similar to the one Draco uses began to manifest itself on the ground underneath him. Everyone could feel the world around them shake as he continued to pull the blade out of his chest. "Sever through… and reconnect. The possibilities of the soul." The white haired man continued as he could feel the blade on his chest almost be free from where he had stabbed himself.

"Anima...Voluntatis. Balmung. Unleash!" The white haired man yelled as he pulled the blade out completely from his chest. As he did, a massive wave of blue light emerged from his body, blinding everyone who was present in the arena as they tried to shield themselves from the blinding blue light but couldn't. All except for Hunter whose eyes were fixed solely on the blue light that was in front of him as he felt his world had been engulfed around him as he could only utter one word as briefly for a moment, his eyes resembled a more lizard like appearance rather than the normal human eyes a person would be used to seeing.

...Balmung…
