Heya all! Writing here for Careertober (SunnyJustice produced), with a series of one-shots based around my Career tributes and districts (referred to as the Squad because personal hangups! Not required reading for any other fics!

Millie Van Stahl had a good job, a secure family and a calm existence. Hardly the archetype for a tribute who, five weeks after the Reaping, would be seen prising a boy's fingers off the edge of a cliff, watching him fall. Ember Graves hated everything that had to do with the Capitol. She despised them for forcing kids to kill each other for their amusement. At fifteen years old the fear still crept up her each morning of the reaping. She kept telling herself that she wouldn't be picked, there was hundreds of names, but she was wrong.
