Same Day: Street
Outside: Rick's Car
The mercenaries stop shooting but are still aiming at Rick's car as the 'SWAT team' opens the backdoors of the black SWAT van and brings out a battering ram.
They quickly go to the drivers-side window, open the stand, put down the battering ram, and step back.
Rick's electronic car voice says, "Warning! Window integrity compromised."
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick looks out his window at the battering ram, questioning sarcastically, "You think?" He looks at Marcy, "Marcy in the back." Marcy nods and roughly climbs over to the backseat as she holds her gun and has a broken left wrist. Marcy plops down across the backseat, lying there while aiming her gun out the back driver's side window. Rick shifts back and climbs over to the passenger-seat.
Outside: Rick's Car
One of the mercenaries switches the battering ram, and the stand drills into the concrete ground so it doesn't move anywhere.
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick plops down in the passenger seat as Marcy looks over at the windshield computer, and she asks while she still aims her gun at the backseat window, "How long to propulsion?"
Rick's electronic car voice says as it scans, "Calculating."
Outside: Rick's Car
The one mercenary presses a button on the battering ram, which activates and rams onto Rick's driver's window. It doesn't break, as the armor is thick, but it makes the car tilt up.
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick and Marcy get roughly pushed back as the car gets rammed. The car quickly drops down, making them stumble into their seats.
Rick's electronic car voice informs as Marcy sits up, still aiming at the window, "Window Integrity 31%. Deploying countermeasures." The computer beeps.
Rick demands, "Hold that order!" He braces himself.
Outside: Rick's Car
The mercenaries activate the battering ram, and it smashes against the car window again, causing more damage.
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick and Marcy stumble in their seats as the car drops again. Rick's electronic car voice says, "Window Integrity 19%. Offensive measures advised."
Rick glares at the damaged window, demanding, "Wait!"
Outside: Rick's Car
Some mercenaries walk closer as the battering ram is smashed against the window again.
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick and Marcy stumble again as the window is smashed in. Rick's electronic car voice informs them, "Window Integrity 1%."
Marcy looks at Rick and shouts, "Rick!"
Rick shouts to his car computer, "Now!" Suddenly, a mini machine gun pulls up from the center glove box. Rick grabs it and aims it at the damaged window, fires the weapon, breaking the window fully, and shoots all around at the mercenaries, then shoots a bomb towards the black SWAT van, making it explode.
Outside: Rick's Car
The surviving mercenaries run and duck for cover as some of the police cars explode.
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick's electronic car voice informs as the windshield computer shows the engine green, "Propulsion systems now online."
Marcy shouts from the backseat, "Full acceleration! Now!" As Rick continues to fire at the mercenaries.
Outside: Rick's Car
Rick's car automatically accelerates but doesn't move forward, as the first police car is still there. Rick's car goes in reverse, backing up to the other police car, then turning to the left and driving off as Rick continues to shoot, taking out more mercenaries. Some of the surviving mercenaries shoot at Rick's car as it drives off.
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick stops shooting and commands his car computer, "Initiate vertical takeoff!"
Rick's electronic car voice tells Rick, "Flight systems damaged."
Rick commands, "Then activate guidance cameras!" He goes over into the driver's seat and groans in pain as he drops down in the seat roughly. He gets comfortable and demands, "Give me the wheel!"
Outside: Rick's Car
Rick takes over driving his car and speeds down the road as the mercenaries chase after him in their police cars.
Inside: Rick's Car
Marcy struggles to get in the passenger-seat as Rick drives. Rick demands his car computer, "Get me, Agent Tambry."
Rick's electronic car voice tells Rick, "Communications array damaged."
Marcy drops down in the passenger-seat and demands the car computer, frustratedly, "Well, what's not damaged?"
Rick's electronic car voice answers, "Air conditioning is fully operational." Marcy's face drops unamused.
Outside: Rick's Car
The mercenary police cars continue to chase after Rick's car as he weaves through the cars on the road.
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick's electronic car voice informs, "Traffic ahead." As Rick drives.
Rick commands, "Give me an alternate route."
Rick's electronic car voice immediately informs, "Traffic alert on Roosevelt Bridge. All vehicles stopped. 17th Avenue is clear in three blocks, directly ahead."
Outside: Rick's Car
Rick speeds up as he heads into the traffic. He smashes into a truck from behind, moving it away before speeding up again and going in between two cars. He bumps into them before speeding up more and passing them, making the two cars stop in front of the mercenary police cars. Rick slows down and maneuvers around the stopped traffic as two police dressed as mercenaries get out of their car, running and climbing over cars.
Rick then crashes into a car, making him stop and switch gears about to back up as people run and scream. A mercenary climbs up on top of a car and starts shooting at Rick's broken window, missing him. The mercenary stops shooting and runs forward as a mercenary police car drives forward and pushes the car in front away.
Rick drives forward and tries to maneuver around the stopped cars as the two mercenaries run around towards Rick's car. Rick drives forward and crashes into the car in front of him, pushing it forward as he stops beside a bus. One mercenary runs around beside the bus and shoots through the windows to Rick's car, making people run and scream.
Rick leans back into his seat as shots are fired near his open window. Marcy ducks down before looking and holding up her gun, shooting out the driver's window, grazing the mercenary but not kill him, all happening as Rick drives forward with the mercenary following.
Rick continues to push the car forward until there is more space to move it away as the two mercenaries stand in front of his vehicle and from behind, both shooting. Rick puts the car in reverse and back up to hit the mercenary from behind, making him fly back into another car's windshield.
Rick then drives forward, hitting a car, making it push back to hit the mercenary that's shooting from the front into a glass bus stop window, breaking it. The mercenary that got hit from behind survived and climbed into the passenger seat of a police car. Rick speeds off out of the traffic, followed by 2 mercenary police cars, turning to the next street that is empty.
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick driving, Marcy holding on the dashboard with one hand, turns her head to look behind.
Outside: Rick's Car
The two mercenary police cars speed up till they are beside Rick's car. One cocks his machine gun, leans half of his body out the window, and starts firing at Rick's open window.
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick leans back into his seat as the shooting comes through the window, making Marcy duck and cover her head.
Outside: Rick's Car
The mercenary continues to shoot with his body half out the window at Rick's car, shooting a few vehicles that come between the two.
They pass a truck and Rick drives and rams into the police car to his left as the mercenary continues to shoot. They crash into each other but continue to drive forward.
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick grabs the mercenary's gun and moves it away from him and Marcy as the guy continues to shoot inside the car, causing Marcy to lean back against her seat.
Outside: Rick's Car
The other mercenary police car rams into Rick's car from the right, sandwiching Rick's vehicle between them.
Inside: Rick's Car
The mercenary runs out of bullets and struggles with Rick to get his gun. Marcy leans over and punches the mercenary in the face, making him lean back and let go of the gun. This gives Rick a chance to hit him with the gun, but the mercenary quickly recovers and grabs his handgun from his holster, aiming it at Marcy. Rick quickly grabs the mercenary's wrist and pushes it down.
Rick's electronic car voice quickly informs, "Warning, approaching intersection." Marcy reaches over and punches the guy again in the face and Rick presses the brakes hard.
Outside: Rick's Car
Rick stops the car just before the intersection. The two mercenary police cars continue on, the one mercenary holds out his handgun to Rick's car behind him, about to shoot.
Suddenly, the two mercenary police cars get hit by an oncoming truck from the left, killing the mercenaries. Rick turns to the left, where the truck came from, speeding down the street.
Inside: Rick's Car
Marcy looks behind them. Rick, now frustrated, demands his car computer, "Get us off the grid!"
Rick's electronic car voice beeps as he says, "Calculating route to secure location."
Marcy turned back around in her seat, looking out the windshield. Her eyes widened in shock. Rick narrows his eyes, confused, as he sees a mysterious male figure standing on the street casually.
Outside: Rick's Car
The mysterious male figure raises his right arm as he holds a device, aiming it at Rick's incoming car. He shoots a frisbee-like disk towards the car. It lowers down and bounces off the ground before it magnetizes itself under Rick's vehicle, and it suddenly explodes, making the car flip over forward.
The mysterious masked figure casually moves to the right just as the vehicle crashes down in front of him, missing him by a few inches. Rick's car slides forward against the concrete ground on the roof, slowing to a stop, and the mysterious masked male figure walks over to the overturned car.
Inside: Rick's Car
Rick and Marcy groan in pain, again a bit disoriented from the sudden crash. Rick looks out the broken window and sees the mysterious masked figure walking over to them. He grabs a laser stick weapon device, twisting it to turn it on.
Outside: Rick's Car
The mysterious masked male figure walks over to Rick's overturned car and grabs the door with his left hand, showing silver around his fingers. He then pulls the door off the car, revealing that he has a metal hand/arm.
The masked figure bends down to look inside and sees that Rick and Marcy are gone with only a burnt hole in the roof that leads down to another hole in the concrete ground, meaning that the two agents escaped.
Night: Street
Steven drives his Harley-Davidson motorcycle while Mabel drives her black Porsche behind him. They both turn on a street, and Mabel parks her car at the side of the road along with Steven.
Inside: Apartment Building
Hallway
Steven and Mabel silently walk up the stairs to Steven's apartment. As they reach his floor, they hear Steven's pretty neighbor talking on the phone as she locks her door, carrying a laundry basket, about to go do her laundry.
Steven's neighbor, Kate, is talking on the phone as she locks her door, "So sweet. That is so nice." She looks at Steven and Mabel as they pass her, "Hi." They smile and wave politely to her. Kate talks back on her phone, "I gotta go, though. Okay. Bye." She hangs up the phone and turns to Steven and Mabel. They stop at Steven's door. Kate holds up her phone, smiling nervously and a bit embarrassed, "My sister, she's kind of insomniac." Kate drops her phone in her laundry basket, and Steven smiles at her. Kate looks down bashful, "Yeah."
