Chapter 19
The very next day, after a swim, homework and catching up with the latest gossip, Charlotte later arrives at Cleo's house with some news. She see's Sora in his merman form for the first time when she accidentally spills water on to him and Rikki. Now making her believe in mermans!
Goofy: The answer to that equation is pi!
Donald: Yum i love pie!
Goofy: Hate to say not that kind of pie Donald!
Sora (with a laugh): Donald you are not helping!
Donald: Then why are you talking about Pie?
Sora (giggling): Ummmm no Donald not that kind of pie
Sora shows his text book to Donald who was sitting beside him. Sora had already made his way to Mako to do some patrolling with Donald and Goofy and was catching up on some Math homework in the moon cave whilst he waited for the girls to arrive.
Donald: Oh Phooey!
Goofy: Helpin ya reminds me of when i use to help Maxy with this math homework!
Sora: Thanks guys i appreciate it, its like being back at school on the Destiny Islands. How is Max by the way?
Suddenly there was splashing and movement in water of the moon pool. Emma, Cleo and Rikki appear in their mermaid forms.
Sora: Hey! Girls about ti...
Rikki: It's not gonna work out with Charlotte
Emma: Give her a chance, Rikki
Rikki: It's not just her, think about it, orginal mermaids were a threesome, fours too many, like its out of balance
Sora, Donald and Goofy sat and watch in slient listening to the girls conversation. It was like they had no knowledge that they were there.
Emma: Your overeacting!
Rikki: Well, what if theres some universal law against it? If that was the case, which it isn't she wouldn't have become a mermaid in the first place!
Sora, Goofy and Donald all looked at each other
Rikki: Cleo, she's dating your ex-boyfriend, surely that's gotta bother you?
Cleo: I broke up with him. It's history now
Emma: She's right Rikki, we gotta make this work for all our sakes!
Sora: Hey Girls!
Donald: HI!
Goofy: Whatcha talkin about?
Cleo: Oh hey Sora!
Emma: Sorry Sora, Donald and Goofy, training ran a bit over time
Sora: Oh the Volleyball training? How did it go? Where's Charlotte?
Rikki: Why would she join us?
Sora: Oh i just thought...now she is a mermaid...she...
Cleo: She wanted to get a juice with Lewis
Sora: Oh ok
Sora closes his text book, the sound of the book echoed around the cave.
Goofy: We were helpin Sora with this Math homework
Cleo: So that's what you have been doing all this time?
Sora: Hey i gotta keep up with my education while i'm here along with some patrolling with Donald and Goofy
Donald: and no Heartless anywhere to be seen!
Goofy: Yep its like they have completely disappeared!
Emma: Thats good!
Rikki: So were safe now?
Sora: Well i...we are for now i guess but keep alert through! I feel our mission in not complete yet.
Cleo: What do you mean?
Sora: Don't know i just have this salty feeling in my gut!
Donald: and Sora still grows a tail when he touches a single drop of water
Cleo: OH about that!
Sora: You have found a way to lift this merman curse of me?
Rikki: No that get your helps up!
Sora (stratches the back on his head): Oh wishful thinking ha ha!
Emma: We might've mentioned to Charlotte that also sprout a tail.
Sora: Ok, how did she take that?
Emma: She refused to believe that mermen exist at first, i think its gonna take a while. Baby steps!
Sora (mumbling): Oh great! She's always been suspecious of me almost cold the way she acts around me
Donald: Oh Sora! Whats not to like about you!
Goofy: Yeah we love ya!
Rikki: Don't blame her for not liking you Sora! I don't like her either! Anyway! Enough with the chit chat, lets go!
Emma, Cleo and Rikki all ducked underwater. Sora was being flicked with water as he packed his books into a backpack and placed the backpack on his back. He giggled and smiled.
Sora (with a giggle): Hey! That's not fair, wait for me! Goofy! Donald! You coming?
Donald: We will continue to keep and eye on things here
Sora: Oh guys, sure?
Goofy: Yeah we will yell if anything closes wrong or if we need ya!
Sora (with tingling sensations): Ok, i'll guess i'll see you both later!
Goofy & Donald: Bye Sora! Good luck!
He dives into the water fully clothed, in seconds he felt his legs fusing together as bubbles surrounded him. His blue tail appeared and begins to swim fast to catch up with the mermaids having summoned his keyblade in for protection. They swim through the ocean and return to the mainland. Later on the arrive at Cleo's house.
Rikki: She practically forced her way into our world, totally uninvited!
Emma: Rikki, she's one of us, like it or not
Rikki with Sora walk towards Cleo's fireplace
Rikki: No, she's not! She doesn't even have a power, why doesn't she have a power?
Sora: Maybe she doesn't have one?
Knock on the door and Cleo answers it
Rikki: Which reinforces the notion that there's only meant to be three mermaids!
Sora and Emma look at Rikki and Rikki looks at Sora
Rikki: The merman side of things is a new one! Sorry Sora!
Sora: Note taken!
Emma: Which we are currently discovering and learning about!
Charlotte comes through the door
Charlotte: I did it, i found my power, oh hi Sora isn't it!
Emma: Its ok he knows
Rikki: Please, you probably just imagined it
Charlotte: No, i really did it, here i'll show you
Charlotte puts out her hand and aims for a vase on Cleo's fireplace. The water flows out like a mini water spout. She puts away her hand and the water falls on both Rikki and Sora transforming them and revealing their tails
Sora: Whoa! OH NO!
Rikki: Nice!
Charlotte: Whoops sorry! Did you guys see that? I just moved water! Goodness you really are a merman!
Sora: Tada...
Both Rikki and Sora were not that impressed as they now layed on the floor with their tails on top of each other.
Cleo: That's my power
Charlotte: I know we can share. Besides now you can show me how to use it properly!
Cleo (Uninpressed): Great!
Sora reaches to summond his keyblade but Rikki had already beganto dry them both with her heat powers returning them both to their humanselves.
