Halo, it's time for the next chapter. Enjoy the reading.
The classes ended, Jaune tried to pick up Weiss again who rejected him in her typical Ice Queen style.
- One day. - Yang patted his head supportively and then everybody left the classroom.
Team RWBY had a meeting in their room, they all changed clothes and grabbed their weapons.
Ruby changed into black boots with red laces, black leggings, a black one-piece dress with bridle that ended in a battle skirt, a dark gray long sleeve t-shirt underneath and of course, her long and red hooded cloak.
Weiss wore thigh-high gray high-heeled boots and a white one-piece jacket ending in a skirt.
Blake wore black high heels, black pants with a black belt and a white blazer that left her stomach exposed.
Yang wore black boots, black pants, a black and white jacket, and a pair of sleeveless black gloves.
- I thought the classes would never end. - Blake finished getting dressed as well.
- Alright guys, - Ruby excitedly sat on her top bunk. - this will be the day! The investigation, - She jumped off the bed. - started!
- I'm glad you take it so seriously. - Weiss noted.
- Hey, we have a plan! - Yang wasn't too nervous or serious either. - It's… we'll take it seriously.
- Yes! Do you remember the plan? - Ruby was waiting for a summary.
- Yes, - Weiss began. – you and I will go to the CCT-tower to look up the list of losses from the Schnee corporation which may help us determine when the next robbery will take place. Because, - She put her hand on her chest. - I'm a family member, I don't think they'd be suspicious with me.
- The White Fang regularly organizes meetings and discussions while they often recruit new members. - Blake concluded. - If I get in maybe I can find out what they're planning.
- I have an old friend down town, - Yang finished while she crossed her arms confidently. – who knows almost everything that goes on in the Vale. I don't think it would be difficult to get information from him.
- Great, - Ruby had no lack of confidence. – we will meet here in the evening and add up what we have found. Let's do this!
- Yes! – A 5th, male voice spoke from the window. Everyone looked at Sun hanging upside down in the window with his tail.
- Sun?! - They took a step back in fear.
- How did you get up here? - It was a legitimate question, since their room was on the second floor.
- Easily. - He just shrugged. - I do this all the time back home.
- What?! - Weiss snapped.
- I mean trees! - He looked back at the tree that grew in front of the window. - Then, - He finally let go of the ledge with his tail and jumped into the room. – shall we go and get revenge on that Torchwick guy?
- We, - Blake stepped forward. - will investigate the events. - He took a break. - As a team. Just the 4 of us.
- I'm sorry, Sun, - Ruby's voice was more pitiful. – but we don't want our friends involved.
- Phew, that's stupid! Friends should always be involved! That's why I brought Neptune with me! - He pointed out the window and they all looked out to see Neptune on the ledge, balancing carefully trying not to fall.
- What's up'?
- How did you get there?
- I solved it. - He also looked at the tree. - Seriously, can I come in? We're pretty high up.
Suddenly, a thump could be heard at the entrance to the room. Mike and Lance from the LLMM team fell for it but they were followed by Mandy and Lynda.
- We've been listening all along, - Lance began after standing up and dusting himself off. – and we heard everything.
- We're also participating in the investigation! - Lynda was excited.
- Mandy noticed that you were having a secret meeting. - Mike said.
- We thought we should help. - Mandy replied.
- How did you know we had a secret meeting? - Ruby wondered as Mandy's fox ears twitched.
- I heard, - She explained with a smile and crossed arms. - as you say to your teammates, "let's go to the room, we're having a secret meeting".
- So much for the secret meeting. - Weiss wasn't at all surprised by Ruby's organizational skills.
- Alright, - Ruby considered the plan. – Sun and the team LLMM can go to that meeting with Blake. Neptune, - She started to push the blue haired boy. – you can go with Yang, since she doesn't have a partner. Is that good?
- I'd rather go to the CCT-tower with you, if that's okay? - Lynda applied.
- For what? - Ruby shrugged.
- There is someone I would like to call, but it is a long-distance call and can only be handled there.
- Oh, fine, then come with us. - Ruby approved.
- Then, it couldn't be, - Weiss also objected something. – that you go with Yang? After all, she is your sister. - Weiss was a bit embarrassed making it clear that she wanted to go with Neptune who was feeling very tense with Yang.
- Why do you say that?
- I mean... Neptune should rather come with me. – Ruby just laughed at this statement, not understanding at all that her white-haired teammate had a crush on Neptune and began to pull her with the help of Lynda. - But... - There was no excuse, she had to go.
- Are you two sisters? - That was Lance's comment as he checked Ruby and Yang.
- Yes. Why?
- Only because you don't look much alike.
- More on that later. – Yang and the rest of the team left the room and went about their business.
The CCT-tower, also known as the Cross Continental Transmission System tower, was a monumental and huge structure. A large, cylinder-shaped tower which was balanced by two smaller towers on 4 sides. In front of the entrance was a small park with trees and grass but the road led to a viaduct surrounded by 4 small ponds, next to which you could sit on benches.
Four CCT-towers existed throughout Remnant which are the pinnacle of communication technology as it was a revolutionary breakthrough when Atlas scientists built the first one. With the help of the CCT-towers, the 4 kingdoms of Remnant can communicate with each other and exchange students can more easily talk to their family back home.
- Wow! - Ruby was completely excited when she saw the tower. - I forgot how big the CCT-tower is up close!
- You don't see like this at home. - Lynda didn't hide her excitement either. - It's sure to fit a lot of people.
- You should see the one in Atlas. - Weiss bragged.
- That was the first, right?
- Correct. Atlas developed the Cross Continental Transmission System so that the 4 kingdoms could communicate with each other. After the war it was a gift to the world.
- Boring! – Lynda just nudged the Ice Queen at which Ruby just laughed.
- Uh, "look at me, I'm Weiss, I know things and I'm rich." - She imitated Weiss which she really didn't appreciate.
- You're just jealous. Besides, we're only here because Ruby wanted so badly to see the tower and Lynda wanted to make a long-distance call. We could have started that call from the library.
- But the calling from directly from the CCT-tower itself is so much more exciting! - Ruby excitedly took out her Scroll. - I'll take a picture too... - She was clumsy and dropped it.
She fell in front of a girl, wearing black shoes, black pants with green stripes down the sides, a beige one-piece bridle top, and a light gray blouse. She had orange hair tied back with a pink bow and green eyes. She picked up Ruby's dropped Scroll and handed it back to her.
- You dropped that.
- Penny?! - Ruby and Weiss were shocked.
- Who is she? - Lynda didn't know her.
- She's the girl who saved Blake, Sun and Ruby at the port. - Weiss explained.
- Can you really shoot laser beams?! - Lynda really wanted to see it but Penny got really nervous.
- Where have you been?! - Ruby was rather angry that she hadn't heard from her in weeks. - We haven't heard from you since what happened at the port!"
- I'm sorry, - Penny acted like she didn't even know Ruby. – but I think you're confused. - She hiccupped. - Um… I have to go! – With that she turned and ran.
- What was that? - Weiss was interested.
- Weird girl. - Lynda just shook her head.
- I don't know but I'll find out. - She went after Penny. - You handle your calls, I'll join you later."
- Wait! – Weiss tried to stop her in vain, Ruby already left them.
- Then, let's do what we came here for. - Lynda just put her hand on her shoulder.
The CCT-tower looked even bigger from the inside. It was like a huge dome, full of benches and monitors, most of which people were sitting on to video-chat with their friends and relatives. The tower had dozens of floors and hundreds of communication devices but Weiss and Lynda were going to make a long-distance call that required the use of high-powered devices.
- That's pretty big! - Lynda couldn't help but be amazed at the size of the building.
- One day, when we pass the exam, you can come and see the Atlasian one too. That's really big.
- I will remember that promise, Ice Queen.
They had to take an elevator to the higher floor.
- Welcome to the CCT-tower. – A woman's voice spoke from the radio in the elevator. - How may I help?
- We would like to go to the long-distance communication room, please. - Weiss replied.
- Of course. Please connect your Scroll to the terminal so that we can identify you. - Weiss and Lynda did anyway, the computer worked. - Perfect, thank you, Ms. Schee and Ms. Dawn. – The elevator started Weiss was happy about it but Lynda, she felt like she was riding a roller coaster.
As soon as they left, they came to a relatively smaller but still quite large room, where the symbols of the 4 kingdoms were virtually projected on a monitor. This room was also full of terminals, all around the windows and at least a dozen in the middle of the room. Some of them also talked to friends and relatives here. They went to the administrator's desk, but no one was there.
- Hello? - Lynda tried to find an employee but no one was here. Suddenly, a holographic woman appeared.
- Welcome to the long-distance communication room of the Cross Continental Transmission System tower in Beacon. How may I help?
- I would like to make a call to the upper management of the Schnee Dust Company in Atlas. – Weiss replied before the woman started to type.
- Now, you can start the call on terminal 3.
- Thank you. – Weiss had already gone to her terminal but it was Lynda's turn.
- Welcome to the long-distance communication room of the Cross Continental Transmission System tower in Beacon. How may I help? - She turned to Lynda.
- Oh... - She was a little nervous, since she had never used a long-distance communication system before. – yes… Um… could you make a call to Menagerie, - She took out her Scroll and showed an ID. – to this Scroll?
- Of course, you can start the call on terminal 7.
Lynda was already scanning the room, hoping to spot Terminal 7. It happened quickly on the other side of the room, the numbers were quite mixed up. She sat down in front of the terminal and was a little anxious trying to figure out how it could work or what she should press.
"Okay, it's not that hard," he thought, but saw the "Start Call" button and pressed it. You could see on the monitor that the call had started and it was answered after a few seconds.
- Hello, who is… Lynda?! – Another girl faunus appeared on the screen, she had short, dark purple hair, but the ears of the brown wolf could be seen, which led me to conclude that purple was not her original hair color she just dyed it. She had blue eyes but below the left was a black crescent moon tattoo. - Girl, how did you manage to call me? You said you won't come home until the summer and you can't even call me!
- Hi, Luna. At the academy I met a rich girl who brought me. - Lynda was happy to see her friend again. - I don't know when I can call you next.
- Oh, that's not cool. - Luna was a bit broken, although she tried to cheer up. - But I can see you now!
- How's Monty? - Suddenly, it was as if Luna had just realized.
- Indeed! - He turned away from the camera and started shouting. - Monty! Come quickly! Your sister wants to talk to you! It will be here soon.
- Lynda! – A little boy's excited voice could be heard from the background and he was getting closer and closer. - Is that really you? – A 12-year-old boy with short, white hair appeared on the screen, he had the same white dog ears as Lynda and his eyes were also yellow. It was obviously her brother.
- Hey, kiddo. What's the situation back home?
- It's a lot of work and I miss you, sis. – He was a bit distraught but managed to get excited again. – Are you a Huntress already? I guess you've already killed a bunch of Grimm!
- Monty, Lynda isn't a Huntress yet, she's just a student. After 4 years of training, someone can become a Hunter or Huntress.
- What?! You said you'd come home in the summer! It wasn't about 4 years!
- Monty, I'm going home in the summer but I have to come back in the fall, for next year.
- Oh, I understand. Did you end up on a team like most of the Hunters?
- Yes, in a team with four members.
- What's the name of the team? - Luna asked.
- Well… - Lynda was a little hesitant to say the name of her team. - The… team LLMM. – They just blinked on the other side of the screen.
- That's pretty lame. – Monty didn't hide his opinion.
- We didn't choose it. - Lynda still didn't like her team's name, so she changed the subject. - Imagine that I'm in the middle of an investigation, following the White Fang and a human criminal, Roman Torchwick.
- Wow, like some super detective!
- You are cool!
- Yes. – Lynda would have liked to talk to her friend and her younger brother but she saw that Weiss had already finished and waved to her that it was time to go. - I have to go now but maybe I'll be able to call you sometime.
- Take care of yourself.
- Come home one day.
The call ended and the screen went dark. Lynda stood up from the monitor and walked over to Weiss who looked quite confused and a little frustrated.
- Is everything alright? – She was interested but Weiss was just lost in her thoughts.
- Yes, I got what I needed but... - She didn't know what to say.
- But?
- Nothing, let's go. - With that she entered the elevator, together with Lynda, and they left the tower.
Blake, Sun, Mandy, Lance and Mike followed the White Fang in the lower part of the city as Blake was familiar with the organization's habits.
- Are you sure they're here? - Lance asked.
- I know the signs. - Blake replied confidently as she recognized three white scratch marks on the wall.
- How will you get along? - Mandy asked looking at Lance and Mike.
- No need to worry, - Mike was confident and rummaged through his bag. – I brought delightful and perfect disguises.
- Disguises? - Blake didn't really get the point. - Just because you're wearing a disguise we can tell you apart.
- We might, - Sun supported Mike's plan. – but in a larger group, it could work.
- What did you bring? - Lance liked the idea too.
- Here, this is yours, - A pair of plastic pig ears stuck in Lance's hair. - this is mine. - And a pair of plastic dog ears with some fur for himself.
- Why did I get the pig's ears?
- Because it was the cheapest and because it's my disguise. By the way, my name is Kevin, yours is Ronaldo and we are a happy, gay couple.
- What?! Why do we need this now?!
- The secret of a good lie is in the details and the correct presentation. - He said it seriously, as if he believed it to be the truth. - We are a loving couple who are considering joining the White Fang because of the difficult financial situation, - He started to sob. - our recently adopted son Cedric's sick and we need the money for his treatment.
- You think, - Sun whispered to the two girls. - he knows that this is just a lie he made up?
- Of course, I know! - Mike snapped. - I said, the performance is also important! - He turned back to Lance. - So, - He reached out his arm to hold him as if they were a real couple. - Ronaldo?
- Kevin. – After a long silence, Lance gave up.
A faunus stood at the door as if standing guard, a few others who were also in civilian clothes came to him and let them in, making it clear that Blake was on the right track. The team was also allowed in, they were given a white mask, the kind worn by the people of the White Fang and when they reached a corridor, they saw a uniformed White Fang soldier who was guiding the new arrivals.
- Rookies, to the right.
- Anyway, I don't understand, - Sun checked the mask which reminded him to a Grimm. – if they really feel that what they are doing is right, why do they hide their faces?
- These are symbols. - Blake explained. - Humanity thinks we're monsters, so we wear monster masks.
- Grimm masks? - Sun didn't like it very much. - It's crazy.
- Just like the guy who started it.
- Not very fancy. - Mike put his on.
- Life is full of sunshine and rainbows with you. – Sun also posted his own.
- I just want to know what they want to achieve with this. Lance's mask was up too.
- Change. - Mandy muttered as she put on her mask as well.
Arriving in the hall the whole place was full of faunus but they were divided into two groups, on the left were uniformed soldiers, clearly members of the organization, while on the right were plain clothes, clearly the recruits.
It was a big night for both the White Fang and Roman and Neo, as Cinder finally announced to Roman that she had acquired enough Dust over the past few weeks for their plan to move into phase two. However, manpower was still needed for this and thanks to Roman's latest action, he had a plan to get it as quickly as possible.
- The arrival of the Atlas army is a huge advantage for us, Neo. – Roman was just preparing for his speech and his girlfriend, Neo, was excitedly and confidently staring at the huge package under the huge tarpaulin. - I still can't believe you managed to get one. – Neo just confidently shrugged her shoulders and crossed her arms as if this was nothing to her.
- Of course, brag as much as you want, it's so good that you're recovered. I also worked my guts out with these animals to get that much Dust. - He hugged the girl and looked into her different colored eyes. - Thank you for being here and helping me. I couldn't know what I would do without you. – Neo just smiled and hugged back. She adjusted Roman's tie and removed a strand of hair from his face after the hugging ended.
- Of course, you always pay attention to me. – Roman took a bottle of cologne, blew a little in the air and walked through it.
- Hey, if you're done with your perfume, you can finally start! – One of the faunus officers, a large man told him.
- It's a cologne, you mutt! – Roman put away his cologne and Neo glared angrily at the tall man. - I need a few more minutes for Neo and I to prepare the surprise. Stall them.
- How?!
- Come up with something! Give a speech about oppression, suffering, your purpose... or anything.
- I have a feeling that you two aren't very sympathetic to our case.
- You're right, we don't really care about your problems, I'm only interested in my reward but for now we have common goals.
The male faunus just sighed angrily and then went out in front of the crowd to bide his time a bit as both the soldiers and civilian supporters were getting impatient. He wasn't one for words but now there was nothing he could do but speak from his heart to buy time for this human thug.
- Thank you everyone for coming! - He started walking up and down and making speeches. - Especially for those who have come to join our cause tonight for the first time, allow me to introduce our newest ally. Without whom we wouldn't be where we are now. - Roman stepped out from behind the curtain. – I assure everyone that he is the key to achieving our goal for which we have been fighting for years! – Many people were outraged and demanded an answer in the crowd.
- Thank you! Thank you! – Roman waved at the angry and outraged crowd as if they were just his fans. Neo also stepped forward from behind the curtain, although she remained in the background and watched Roman gives speech to this herd. - Please wait with the confetti!
- What's a human doing here?! – A civilian woman with small deer antlers on her head demanded the answer.
- I'm glad you asked, Deery! – Roman gave the answer. - I'm the first to admit that people... - He just smiled and continued disgustedly. – the worst. Although I doubt that I have told you anything new. – He continued in confident style again. - So, I can understand why you'd want to lock us all up or just…kill us. However, I would like to touch on a small but very important detail that may have escaped your attention. That we have common enemies. It's the system. Those who control the course of things are the greedy scumbags in high places who only care about their own welfare! Those who take advantage of you and make you all work to death for starvation wages and what do you get in return? Discrimination, racism and a label just because you are different! The government, the military and even in schools! These people have pushed you into poverty! - Here they could feel the anger in his voice. - Such people are also my enemies! They are no more than worms that should be exterminated! - He smiled and continued in a calm tone. - Luckily for you, I'm the best pest exterminator. Sorry to the rodent faunus. - He clicked as Neo signaled to the soldiers working in the background to raise the curtain and remove the tarpaulin from the package he had also acquired.
It was a huge battle robot with a cockpit that was none other than the latest heavy infantry weapon of the Atlas army, the Atlas Paladin, with the crest of the White Fang of course. At this, the faunus crowd erupted into cheers and applause at the sight of the machine with its impressive armor, weaponry and size.
- As you have already heard, - Roman patted the robot's leg. – this is the latest weapon of the Atlas army with which they want to protect the kingdoms from all the nasty things from beyond the borders. And thanks to my employer and my colleague, - Now he winked at Neo who just smiled. – we managed to get one and soon we will get more. We have already transferred many of your brothers and sisters to our new garrison to the southeast beyond the city border. If you want to stay in the safety of the city, that's fine, - His voice sounded a little false but most people didn't even notice it. – but if you really want to fight for the cause, so that we can both be profitable, - He took out a cigar, lit it and took a drag. – I can guarantee you this arsenal. Question?
There wasn't, just a storm of applause and enthusiastic cheering.
- All right, recruits, - The big White Fang officer spoke up and started handing out uniforms to the recruits with two of his men. – line up!
Sun, Blake, Mandy, Lance and Mike had to somehow get out without being noticed.
- Now what? - Sun whispered.
- We have to get out. - Blake replied.
- I have an idea! - Mike stepped forward and walked forward through the crowd, pulling Lance with him. - We'll distract Torchwick, while you can sneak out the back.
- Do I have a choice? - Lance wasn't in the mood for gay couple act at all but now he had no choice.
The two boys from the crowd in line approached Torchwick who was still smoking his cigar.
- Mr. Torchwick, I would like to take this opportunity to be the first to thank you for all the hard work you and your crew have done for our kind.
- Everything for the common good, my big friend.
- Also, I have to say, - Mike shook Roman's hand. – you're such a cutie pie. - Roman smiled at this and laughed a little.
- Flattering, - He took another puff from his cigar. – but my heart is already occupied.
- Oh, mine too! – Mike pulled Lance close and hugged him. - He's my fiance, Ronaldo! He proposed me last month, it was very romantic! – Roman checked the strange couple.
- Do you like the big guys? - He was joking.
- Basically, Kevin forced me into it. - Lance replied in a monotone voice.
- Come on! He's just kidding! Our love for each other and our adopted son Cedric is what kept us going through the tough times! – Mike started fanning his eyes to stop himself from crying. They were both silent, but finally Lance broke the silence.
- I didn't want a child but Kevin really wanted to be a mother.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team, Blake, Sun, and Mandy tried to sneak out backstage but a human girl stood in their way.
She was barely 138cm tall, with high heels, white and brown high-heeled boots, brown pants, a dark gray corset that showed both sides of his hips, a tailcoat that was white on the outside but pink on the inside, the back of which reached the bend of his knees, and he wore a pair of black gloves. Her hair was long, down to her waist, but pink on the right side and brown on the left, her eyes, like her hair, were half-shaped, her right eye was pink, while her left eye was brown. She was holding a white and pink parasol indicating that she had no plans to let them through.
- I think she is with him. - Sun joked.
The girl, Neo, wanted to warn Roman somehow but being silent she couldn't shout and couldn't send a message with Scroll either, because the noise drowned out it voice.
Blake recognized that Neo wasn't a faunus and that no one but she had seen them so far.
- She can't see in the dark. - She took out Gumbo Shroud in pistol form and fired the fuse instantly blinding the humans but allowing the faunus to see clearly. - Sun, Mandy, through the window!
- Don't let them hang! - Roman could be heard shouting, recognizing Sun and Blake at the last moment.
Roman immediately got into the Paladin and charged towards the two fleeing Faunus, breaking through the wall of the building.
Mandy, Lance and Mike were left behind with a bunch of fleeing civilian faunus and of course the White Fang people and of course with Neo.
As soon as the backup generator was activated, the members of the team LLMM took off their Grimm masks, Lance and Mike took off their faunus costumes and gathered, only to be surrounded by White Fang soldiers.
- Some pests have arrived among us. – The tall male officer turned on a large chainsaw and a dozen soldiers pointed their guns at the intruders.
The man charged but Lance parried the attack with his shield and began to push his opponent back.
Mandy shot a few soldiers with her bow, only wounding them, not killing anyone, while Mike with What the Heck barraged with exploding bullets on his opponents. As soon as he had a moment to spare, Mike put two fingers in his mouth and whistled loudly.
Mike was kicked in the back of the knee causing him to fall to the ground and when he turned, Neo was standing over him and kicked him in the face. She was about to deliver the coup d'état to the fat boy but with a flash, Mandy appeared in front of her and parried Neo's parasol with her two blades.
Neo smiled, opening her parasol, resting it on her shoulder, bending one knee, leaning forward while holding out her left arm. Mandy disappeared with a flash and appeared behind Neo but her reflexes were lightning fast, she turned in time and dodged Mandy's daggers.
Neo took the initiative and forced Mandy back, this time she teleported above her head but Neo opened her parasol again and parried the blow.
Lance fought the White Fang officer, his blade throwing sparks whenever the man's chainsaw and sword met. Lance knocked the man's weapon aside with his shield but instead of flinching, he spun and was about to strike Lance's head.
Accompanied by a white flash, the chainsaw caught on three blades and was joined by a white-haired, dog-eared faunus girl who saved Lance's life.
- Did I miss something? - With Lynda's arrival, the LLMM team has been completed.
- Lynda! I didn't think you'd hear my whistle. - Mike was very happy.
- I was in the area anyway. - Lynda pushed the man's chainsaw back.
- Lynda and I will take care of the big man, - Lance assigned the tasks. - Mike and Mandy, that girl is yours.
The team LLMM stood up and prepared for a big clash like 4 siblings taking turns to fight.
- Be careful with her, - Mandy warned her team. – very fast and has good reflexes.
- I saw that. - Mike knew this girl shouldn't be underestimated.
Mike activated What the Heck and a large boxing glove flew towards Neo who easily dodged the blow but Mandy appeared behind her and landed a kick to her back, causing her to fall forward but Neo landed on her hands, swung herself, fell to her feet and opened her parasol to ward it off Mandy's arrows.
Mike summoned a swarm of wasps with What the Heck which attacked her but Neo kept her parasol open, in which the large wasps got caught and disappeared, the few remnants were easily cut by Neo after she closed the parasol and with a press of a button, a blade came out from the top.
Neo moved so fast and flexible as if her body was made of water, Mandy couldn't hit her with arrows and Mike couldn't hit her with his attacks.
It was clear, Neo was just playing with them, her goal was to drain their aura so she could finish them off easily.
Lance and Lynda made better progress with the faunus man, Lance parrying the attacks with his shield while Lynda, like a predatory animal, jumped out from behind Lance and struck him, knocking him out. They immediately rushed to Mike and Mandy's aid.
The LLMM team completely surrounded Neo, who instead of just panicking, just smiled like she was really enjoying the current situation, not caring that she was completely surrounded.
Lance attacked first, but she easily and gracefully dodged his sword and somersaulted behind him and kicked him in the back. Lynda's wild and fast attacks were also ineffective against Neo, as she moved so nimbly that Lynda could have sworn that Neo was in two places at once and when she was confused enough, she tripped her by the hook of her parasol. Mandy's third attempt to teleport behind her failed miserably after Neo analyzed her technique and kicked her in the stomach before she could try anything. Mike's arsenal of weapons didn't do much against her and with a loose, light movement, she kicked the fat boy in the groin with her high-heeled boot, who fell to the ground in a fetal position.
- It was the tip of her heel. – He squealed.
Neo just walked up and down smiling after taking down the LLMM team by herself.
Lance still stood and pointed his sword at Neo, she just turned around with a smile on her face, "Do you want more?". He wondered if he should use his Semblance. The power he would unleash as a Berserker was sure it would have been enough to defeat this girl but his friends are here and they are in the middle of a city, if he used it here, he is afraid that it would destroy half the city and take his friends with it.
Lance took a more defensive position and, holding his shield forward, slowly approached Neo, who only pretended to yawn but suddenly, her Scroll rang. "Message received."
As soon as he read it, his eyes widened in horror and in the blink of an eye, as if he had broken into a thousand pieces, she disappeared.
Lance lowered his shield but too soon, as a thin blade pierced the right side of his chest, causing him to bleed profusely and collapse.
The remaining people of the White Fang rather retreated, leaving the building accompanied by the roar of many vehicles and airplanes.
- That's it… - Lynda stood up with a groan. - just run!
- I think we shouldn't advertise too much that she kicked our butt like that. - Mike got up too.
- Let's be happy to be alive. - Mandy also stood up but she looked at Lance, who was lying motionless in a pool of blood. - And get him to a hospital quickly before he bleeds out.
