Midoriya sat there tied up in the chair through the reflection. He was still stuck in the spell book, but he was just so glad to see everyone and actually talk to them. He couldn't move very much since he was tied up, but he was glad that Mr. Amasawa was tied up along with him. He wouldn't know what to do if he had gotten away with the spell book. He smiled at them, happy to see everyone all together.
Yaoyorozu checked on Todoroki who was turned into a rabbit. She and everyone else felt bad, but wondered if they could something about this. She kept close by, clearly feeling bad that he did that for her. He looked at her, and she knew that he was okay. No one even laughed at him surprisingly with how things are going with Midoriya and Mr. Amasawa. Even Uraraka laid down on the chair, feeling bad for her. They were worried about her and didn't know what to do.
They had help Midoriya first, knowing that he might be able to do something to help her.
"Guys! Finally, you can see me! I've been trying to contact you for so long," Midoriya said to them.
"Whoa. How are you doing that?" Jirou asked him.
"Yeah. Mr. Amasawa is knocked out cold thanks to you," Sero said to him, "But how are you able to communicate through reflections?"
"I have no idea. It has something to do with his charm. He can only communicate through reflections, but no one could see me," Midoriya told them, "I think somehow my quirk that I took back a bit of helped me communicate with you guys."
"Hmm... That was pretty smart of you to use his spell book against him," Yaoyorozu told him, "You might've actually defeated him if it weren't for that weird backlash."
"Yeah. There's definitely something that's stopping me from switching places with him," Midoriya said back, "I almost got him to recite the charm just like he did with me, but he was resisting it. He's pretty strong, even without my quirk."
"So, that really was you doing morse code?" Yaoyorozu pointed out.
"Yeah. You guys were almost going to burn the spell book, along with me!" Midoriya cried out, "It was the only way to get through to you. Thank you so much Yaoyorozu for noticing. You're a lifesaver."
Yaoyorozu felt a blush form around her cheeks, feeling a little proud of herself in that moment. Everyone looked a little nervous and worried about what happened earlier with Uraraka and Todoroki.
"Sorry about dude," Kaminari said to him.
"We had no idea what had happened to you. We would've never done that if we had known," Kirishima told him.
"Don't worry about it. I'm just glad that actually talk to you through this spell book," Midoriya said back.
Then Midoriya noticed Iida nearby and avoided eye contact with him. He tried to look up at him, but he found it difficult to face him after what happened. He didn't even feel angry anymore. He just felt bad for even feeling the need to hurt Iida. He would've never done it if he had known what this spell book actually was. Something just came over him, and the spell book took advantage of that.
"Iida... I-I'm sorry, for what happened..." Midoriya said to him with a guilty face.
Iida's eyes widened, clearly not even thinking about what happened between the two of them. He felt a little awkward doing this in front of everyone, but could tell that Midoriya felt bad. He felt even worse seeing Midoriya like this. Iida felt his throat, remembering how sore and terrible it felt when he casted this particular charm.
"Don't worry about it Midoriya," Iida said to him, "I was mad, but I would never want this to happen to you."
"Yeah, but... I still hurt you..." Midoriya said back as he looked away, "I still went along with what the spell book told me to do... Mr. Amasawa even told me that we are similar... I dragged Ochaco into this mess just like he did with Sakura... I'm even going to U.A., just like him. The way he analyzes things and tries to figure things out... That's how he came up with all of these amazing spells and charms... I was tempted to use the spell book when you... got mad at me... You said some things that were true... You do need to clean up this mess, but look at what happened... I got trapped in a spell book... Maybe... I deserve this..."
Iida clenched his fists, feeling something come over him. Everyone could tell that Mr. Amasawa said some things that might've gotten through to him while he was stuck in there. Iida felt bad for him and would never want him to go through something as horrible as this. Midoriya looked miserable as he sat there looking tied up, which didn't help him feel any better.
"You don't deserve this," Iida said back, "You and him may be similar, but he doesn't have friends to help him up when he falls down. You can't let him defeat you. Not now. Not when we're right here to help you out of this situation."
Midoriya looked up, noticing him looking determined to get him out of there. Something about his eyes looked more confident, and so did everyone else. He felt better, seeing his friends standing there to help him. He felt tears coming up as he stared at Iida looking determined just like a hero.
"Thank you Iida... I just..." Midoriya said back, but couldn't get himself to say anything else.
"Stop crying Deku. You're going to need your energy back up if you want to defeat this Spell Caster," Bakugo said to him.
Midoriya tried to stop himself from crying and couldn't wipe his tears away from being tied up.
"There's gotta be a way to switch you back though," Kirishima said to him, "Anything. Maybe you can look through the spell book again."
Midoriya thought about it some more, but felt a little defeated. They could that he was tired from all of the fighting and magic. He tried to think of something, but didn't know what. He really wanted to get out of there so that he could help Uraraka out.
Soon enough, the spell book flipped open as if it was looking for a spell or charm again. He couldn't find anything that might help him get out of there. Midoriya needed to use that charm again, that was the only way he could get out of here. He felt himself getting tired from the magic and stopped flipping the pages.
They had never seen Midoriya looking so defeated before. He couldn't even get himself out of this spell book.
Iida looked at Midoriya, and then the spell book. He had to something to help him. Then he looked at Uraraka, and she looked even more fairy like. Something about her seemed otherwordly as she laid there on the couch. He had to do something to help his friends. He wasn't going to let them down, not when he could do something about this.
"Midoriya. What about that business card?" Iida asked him, "From that shop?"
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock, forgetting all about that business card that they have found.
"Mr. Amasawa's Spells and Charms shop? But it disappeared, and we don't know what happened to it," Midoriya said to him.
"Yeah, but we can still call that number," Iida told him, "We still might be able to reach him. Maybe that old man can pay a visit to give us something that we need. It's one of the best plans we've got."
"Maybe..." Midoriya said back.
Then he thought about Uraraka for a moment and looked up to see her laying down, but couldn't quite see her. He tried to look over at her, but couldn't tell if she was okay or not.
"Can you guys move the mirror a little? I want to see how Ochaco is doing," Midoriya asked with a concerned tone.
Yaoyorozu nodded and put Todoroki down on the coffee table. She walked over to the mirror and angled to the point where he could see her. He spotted her, laying down on the couch. Midoriya's eyes widened in shock, noticing how different she looked. He had noticed it before, but this close up. She looked more fairy like than ever before. Her hair was almost completely pink with her skin looking paler as she laid there.
Midoriya wanted to jump through the mirror and wake her up. He missed holding her hand and hugging her in a warm embrace. Something about seeing her like this made him feel bad for not being there for her. He knew that it wasn't his fault, but he still felt bad for what's happening to her.
"Don't worry Ochaco," Midoriya said back with such sad eyes, "We'll get you out of this mess. You don't ever have to wear that necklace ever again. I should've never given you that never thing in the first place. I'll do whatever I can to help you get back to normal. Then we can go on a date, just the two of us. We haven't done that in a while."
Everyone felt bad for them as they watched Midoriya in the reflection. It felt like something magical was trying to break them up and stop them from staying together. They wanted to help just to see them back together. Something about seeing them separated like this made everyone realize how much they care about each other. When Midoriya was sick and had a fever, Urarka did whatever she could to help him feel better. Now they were both stuck in a weird situation with no way out.
Then they noticed Mr. Amasawa stirring in his sleep. Yaoyorozu got nervous and turned the mirror back over to the way it looked before. He opened his eyes, feeling a little out of it. He tried to get out of something that was tied him up. Then he noticed that he was facing a mirror. Midoriya stared back at him, making him furious.
"You're finally awake," Midoriya said to him in a frustated tone.
He looked at everyone around him, which made him even more annoyed. Mr. Amasawa tried to get out of the ropes, but they were really stiff and sturdy.
"You won't be able to get out of those," Yaoyorozu told him, "I made them myself."
Mr. Amasawa stared at them, ready to cast more spells. Then he spotted the spell book in the mirror and tried to use his quirk to reach it. It was close enough to cause to fly towards him, but Iida quickly grabbed it. Midoriya was worried that he might be able to get out of there really easily. Iida never let go of it, and Midoriya even tried to stop it as well.
Soon enough, Mr. Amasawa looked tired since he use a lot his energy earlier. He ran out breath as he sat there in the chair tied up. Midoriya didn't feel as tired and wondered if him resting helped him regain some of his energy. It wasn't much, but it definitely felt like it.
"Don't even think about trying to escape, Spell Caster," Bakugo said to him, "You still need to help us with Deku. Like you even have a choice or not. You're still going to help get him out of there."
"Deku? That's your nickname for him?" Mr. Amasawa said back with a slight chuckle, "Do you even know what that means? Some friend you are."
Bakugo growled at him, making Kirishima a little nervous about what he might do. He tried to calm him down and held his hand.
"Katsuki. Maybe you should let the others handle this," Kirishima said to him, "We don't want him to rile you up."
Mr. Amasawa noticed how close they were, and Bakugo gave him a piercing glare. Kirishima held his hand and tried to get him to back off.
Then he spotted Midoriya staring back at him as if he might be planning something. Midoriya focused on the spell book, making it flip through some pages. They watched him go through the pages, but he didn't know what else to do. He saw the Power Absorption charm again, but didn't know if he could use it again. He had a bit of energy back, but didn't know if he would be able to pull it off.
"If you're trying to get me to use the Power Absorption charm, then you can forget about it," Mr. Amasawa told him, "That charm takes a lot of you. Why do you think it took me a while to get to you to use it? I had to steal some of your energy to be able to pull it off. You were barely able to get any of mine. Let's face it, your quirk is not as strong as mine. You might have a rare quirk like the old man said, but that doesn't mean it's as good as mine. It could never beat me. You couldn't even switch back without some help."
Midoriya gritted his teeth, feeling frustrated that he couldn't pull it off. He tried to use the spell book to flip the pages, but Iida still held it. He flipped the spell book open and instantly found the Power Absorption Charm. The glowing made him feel an instant connection and was already reciting the charm. He could feel One for All flowing through him as he got through to the spell book.
Iida held the book, feeling the energy coursing the spell book. It felt so powerful and much more intense than he expected. He could barely hold it as Midoriya kept repeating it over and over again. He wanted to help Midoriya, but he could tell that it was taking a toll on him.
Soon enough, Mr. Amasawa felt his energy being pulled into the spell book, causing green sparks to bounce all around it and Iida. Midoriya could feel more of One for All flowing through him as he kept going. Mr. Amasawa tried to get away from him, but the ropes were a lot tougher than they looked. Midoriya felt himself get stronger as more of his quirk came back to him. For a moment there, he felt like he was starting to get through to Mr. Amasawa.
He could feel it as well and tried to fight against the charm. He felt his mouth opening, but resisted saying the charm. He even bit his lip to stop himself from saying it.
"I... I-I'm... gi-giving u-up... m-my p-power..." Mr. Amasawa said, but tried to stop himself from saying it.
Midoriya kept saying it, but it was already wearing him out a lot. Mr. Amasawa was a tough one as he kept resisting his own spells and charms. Midoriya could feel some of his energy starting to switch places, but he couldn't keep going. He was worried what might happen if only parts of them switched. But he had to keep going, he had to do this for Uraraka.
"I'm giving up my power! Take all of my energy! I'm giving it all to you! Come on..." Midoriya growled out, "I need to be there for Ochaco! Switch places with me!"
Iida could feel the magic flowing through the spell book as Midoriya tried to fight against Mr. Amasawa. He couldn't look away as the pink and green glowing and sparks got pretty intense. He kept saying the charm over and over again, but Mr. Amasawa was still resisting. He could barely get him to say the full charm, which just frustrated him even more.
Iida wanted to help him, but he could see Midoriya starting to wear himself out. He pushed himself even further to try to get through to him as his quirk came back to him. That's all he could do in that moment, but he really needed Mr. Amasawa to say that charm. That was the only way to get him out of there fully.
Iida noticed that Midoriya was losing concentration and looked exhausted. Mr. Amasawa wasn't letting up, making everyone worry about Midoriya. Iida didn't know what to do as his friend was pushing himself so hard to get through that spell book. He could tell that he wasn't going to last much longer if he didn't do something to help him.
"Mi-Midoriya! Stop!" Iida cried out, "You have to stop this! You're going to hurt yourself!"
Midoriya couldn't seem to hear him as kept going. The charm seemed like it got him stuck in a loop, trying to get out of there. He kept saying it over and over again, and Iida tried to shut the spell book. Midoriya's quirk was so strong that it was almost impossible to close it. He felt Midoriya trying to keep it open, but he had stop him from going too far.
"Midoriya! Please! Stop this now!" Iida cried out, "You can't keep doing this! Let us help you!"
That seemed to get Midoriya's attention, but he couldn't stop himself from using the charm. It was too strong, and One for All just made it much harder for him to get out of it. He couldn't stop the spell book from trying to switch places with him. Midoriya felt like something was wrong, and Mr. Amasawa was still resisting. Iida tried to shut the spell book, knowing full well that it would help him break the connect.
The glowing intensified as everyone watched Iida trying to close it. No one could really help since it was a small spell book. Midoriya tried to resist using the charm, which helped Iida close it. Soon enough, Midoriya felt his grip on the charm loosen up. Suddenly Iida closed it, and sent a blast of energy at Iida and Midoriya. Even Mr. Amasawa almost fell over in his chair.
"Iida!" Everyone cried out.
Yaoyorozu helped him up, worried that he got hurt. Everyone was concerned for Iida and Midoriya as they dusted themselves off.
"Are you okay, man?" Kirishima asked Iida, "That was quite the charm."
"Y-Yeah..." Iida told them as he dusted himself off, "I'm okay."
Then he realized that Midoriya had just gotten hurt from the blast as well. His head whipped around to see Mr. Amasawa fine and awake. Midoriya on the other hand, was knocked out in the mirror. His head dangled since he was tied up. He looked pale and was heavy breathing quite a bit. Iida's eyes widened in shock, worried that he might've overdone it.
"No..." Iida said to himself, "Midoriya! Wake up!"
Iida and everyone else were worried about him, but couldn't reach out to him. He was still stuck in the spell book. Iida wished that he could just reach in there and pull him out. He grabbed onto the mirror, hoping that he could somehow wake up. He even hit the glass without breaking it to try to wake him up, but it was no use.
Midoriya wasn't waking up.
Mr. Amasawa let out a laugh that sent chills under everyone's backs. His smile made them feel even worse as he looked at the mirror of himself.
"Looks like your friend just made things worse."
