Halo, it's time for the newest chapter. Enjoy the reading.

The Brunswick farm and the horrors that happened there were only a bad memory for team RWBY and the others, Yang drove straight down the road on her motorcycle while the rest of the team were on the trailer attached to the motorbike, an amazing thing was revealed. Once upon a time, Maria, the half-blind old woman, not only had Silver eyes like Ruby, but was a legendary Huntress called the Grimm Reaper.

She told about her adventures, how she destroyed packs of Grimm with a single look, literally. Ironically, after the many Grimm she defeated with ease, it was a group of mercenaries who severely injured her and cut out her eyes, which earned her fame and, paradoxically, the attention of someone monstrously powerful.

Even though she lost her eyes, that didn't stop Maria from killing the mercenaries and fighting to the end.

- It didn't happen like that. - She finally finished brokenly, disappointed in herself as she sat at the end of the trailer with her legs dangling down and just watching the snowy forest with her vision device as it sped by. - Right after that I started hiding.

- I can't believe it... - Neither Qrow, nor the Ruby team, nor Oscar, nor even Roman could understand with common sense who this old woman was who was with them all along. - Are you the Grim Reaper? You were a legend! But… you disappeared.

- How... - Oscar didn't understand something. – can a legend disappear?

- Simple, - Qrow had already explained. – they never use their name and never shows their face. In short, they hide. Over time, we were had to accept that you were dead. - Qrow didn't know how to look at Maria, as he had immense respect for the Grimm Reaper he knew from the legends, but this old lady, who looked like nothing more than a tired and broken old woman, simply couldn't imagine that she had once been a legend. - But your stories, your adventures... I even modeled my weapon after yours. I wanted to be like the Grim Reaper herself.

- I'm nothing else, - Maria just shook her head. - but a big disappointment. You are on the right track in this.

- How can you say that?! – Neither Blake nor the others understood why Maria was so disappointed in herself, since if only half of what they heard about her was true, she killed thousands of Grimm and could have saved even more lives. She was a true hero in their eyes.

- My child, - Maria just turned back. – a Huntress must protect others to the end, even at the cost of her own life. But after I lost my eyes, I only cared about myself. Even after my surgery, I was simply afraid to continue fighting. I was afraid that one day someone would find me and finish what the others had started. - They could feel how much she hated herself for letting so many people down after her injury. - You shouldn't admire such a person. - She looked towards Yang. - Especially since most of you are already much stronger than me. - On to Roman. - Or smarter.

- Just to clarify, - Roman showed one of his fingers. – I am not a Hunter and I don't intend to risk my life for others.

- Yeah, - Weiss just shook her head. – you made it clear a couple of times.

- It's a reassuring feeling, - Something gave Maria hope. – that this generation is prepared, that it's ready for the task left to it by the previous one. My only regret is that I didn't do more.

- Why do you think you let anyone down? - Roman tried to comfort her. - You focused on survival. There's nothing to be shame about it.

- And what did I achieve by surviving? - Maria shook her head. - For many years, I denied everything that I was. When I saw people in danger, I simply walked away when duty called, I ran, I feared for my life, so I began to lie about who I was, I stole another person's identity, I cheated so that no more I had to fight and hid from my friends, who were crying for me. The Grim Reaper is really dead.

Roman felt some sympathy for the old woman who lived by his principles after her injury, lied, stole, cheated and survived. "She had no one to share her burden with or rely on. She was alone."

- Maybe, - Ruby had an idea. – you could do something now? Teach me how to use my power as you did.

- Indeed! - Roman remembered what Ruby was doing in the basement. - A big gun like that would be very handy!

Maria just smiled hopefully and turned to Ruby and Roman, but before she could answer, the sound of a Scroll broke the silence.

- You are ringing. – Roman and the others looked at Ruby, who curiously took out her Scroll.

Ruby curiously took out her Scroll and her eyes lit up when she saw who was looking for it.

- It's Lance! - As soon as she said that, Yang immediately braked.

- How?! - Weiss just shook her head in confusion.

- Ruby?! – The boy's voice could be heard on the other side. – Thank the Gods! Jaune and I have been checking the signals from our Scrolls ever since we arrived in Argus!

- To Argus? – Ruby knew that Argus was the final destination, but she couldn't imagine that they would be this close. - Wait! – She raised her Scroll, the field power of which suddenly gained strength.

They all looked ahead and only belatedly noticed the entrance to the city, which was only a few kilometers away, down the hillside. It was an incredible sight, after so much horror and fighting, they finally reached the border of Argus. Yang stepped on the gas and they were already racing towards the city.

They reached the edge of the hill and there was a valley below them, surrounded by two mountains, in the center of which stood the city of Argus, surrounded by mountains on both sides, the sea behind and a great stone wall in front. There was a relay tower on the western hill that was used to transmit Scroll signals.

The sun was already setting, which made the sea and the valley glow orange.

- Ladies and gentlemen, - Yang confidently turned back to the others. – we arrived at Argus.

Yang started her motorbike again and nothing stood between them and the city.

At the entrance to the city, it was enough for Qrow to show the Hunter's permit and mention that they were on an important mission, before the guards just stood aside and even directed the team to the warehouses where Yang could put her motorcycle. Meanwhile, Ruby explained to Lance via Scroll that they had arrived and were at the warehouses near the city gate.

The walls of the city were amazingly high, with Atlas soldiers stationed on them, despite belonging to Argus Mistral, while it was surrounded by mountains on two sides and bordered by the sea at the back.

- THE CUTE LITTLE OZPIN BOY! - Nora's deafening and joyful squeals could be heard from the crowd, as she spotted Oscar from the team and immediately threw herself on him and hugged him. - Come here!

- Are you alright?! – A huge stone fell from the hearts of the members of Team JNR and LLMM after the members of Team RWBY reached the city safely.

- We had a crazy trip! - Yang just sighed after hugging Ren.

- That's an understatement. - Weiss added as she was about to hug Jaune but they both got embarrassed and blushed.

- I'm glad you didn't get in hurt. - Jaune was really relieved when he was sure Weiss was okay.

- We're also well. – Blake just whispered quietly, while Jaune raised his head nervously and Weiss also looked to the side in confusion.

- I mean, all of you! - Jaune corrected himself quickly and with a red face. - I'm glad none of you got hurt!

- Wait, - Nora looked at Maria curiously. – who's the old lady?

- Hey, - Lance just put his hand on Ruby's shoulder from behind, before she flinched a little, then turned and hugged the boy three times her size. - I'm glad, you are back.

- Well, - Ruby just shrugged her shoulders playfully, but tiredly, as if what they had experienced in the forest and at Brunswick Farm was so much nothing. - I promised.

- Everything was fine? - Lance was incredibly happy to see her and her team again.

- There was nothing, - Ruby just bowed her head modestly. - we couldn't have coped with.

- You'll love this city! – Mike's joy was also boundless, but he was happier that he could present the city to the RWBY team as well. They used a tram on the main road and he explained the options that way. – There are a lot of shops, restaurants, gift shops where you can buy all kinds of souvenirs and have any picture printed on them.

- Indeed? - Blake could hardly believe that such a thing could exist.

- Yes, - Nora joined the conversation disappointed. – but they don't print a picture with your butt is on it.

- Anyway, - Yang was more impressed by the size of the city. – much bigger than I expected.

- Actually, - Ren continued. - Argus is the largest non-capital in all of Remnant.

- No way! – Ruby couldn't help but turn her head among the sea of large buildings, where all kinds of storefronts and attractions could be found. - It can be incredibly difficult to defend such a large settlement. - He remembered Dr. Oobleck's lesson. - I mean, do you remember the town under the Glenn Mountains?

- It would be, - Jaune explained. — if Mantle, one of the lower cities of Atlas, hadn't helped. The settlers from Mistral, who were good at building and cultivating the land, but were poor and didn't know how to fight, but the settlers from Atlas appeared, who had money and soldiers, with which they could already maintain a larger settlement and the trade could continue between Anima and Solitas.

- The two nations joined forces to create a larger city, a symbol of their alliance and the largest trading point between them. - Ren took the floor. – Although it's officially under Mistral's jurisdiction, Atlas maintains military forces to protect the inhabitants and trade between the two kingdoms.

- At least, until now. - Nora added worriedly.

- Yeah, - Lance continued. – since the fall of Beacon, Atlas has closed its borders and most of the soldiers have been recalled from the city, but they haven't been withdrawn completely. Trade has also stopped, making people unhappy. - He finished by the time they arrived at the station where they got off, which had a perfect view of the military base.

- Then we should look for a ship? – Blake was considering moving on, but Oscar was preoccupied with something else.

- Anyway, where do you live?

- Well, there you are! – As soon as the tram pulled away, an unfamiliar voice called out to Jaune, who cringed.

She was a woman slightly older than him, with long, same blonde hair, and even had the same blue eyes as Jaune's. She was wearing a pair of fur-lined brown boots, beige pants, an orange top, and a white vest, and she was holding a barely two and a half years old baby. She waved excitedly and the baby laughed enthusiastically.

- Isn't she… - Yang thought she detected some similarities between the woman and Jaune.

- Hey, Saph. - Jaune greeted her awkwardly, and Ruby's eyes immediately popped open and her gaze bounced back and forth between Jaune and Saph, who not only had the exact same hair and eye color, but even had the same awkward expression.

- Is she your sister?! – She and the rest of team RWBY got it over time

- Yes, - He admitted. – Saphron Arc, - He then pointed to the baby. - and my nephew Adrian Arc.

- And they are your friends, - Saph looked excitedly at the team. – who stayed behind to protect the passengers?

- Yes, - Jaune began to introduce them. - Ruby, Yang, Blake, Weiss, Oscar, Maria, Qrow and... - As soon as he reached Roman, he immediately interrupted him to introduce himself.

- Remus Lampwick! – Roman just raised his trilby hat respectfully and leaned on Melodic Cludgel.

- Remus. - Jaune finished in a bit of awe, as did the rest of the team.

- That's great! – Saph didn't notice, she just headed towards her house. - Come on in, my wife jumped off for a snack, while we wait, you can relax!

While Saph entered the house, the members of the team stared at Roman curiously.

- So… - Jaune just turned to him. – "Remus"?

- Do you think, - Roman immediately gave the answer to the question that concerned all of them. – your sister would be overjoyed to find out that she's welcoming convicted criminal Roman Torchwick into her house? Or the authorities? – After a short and awkward silence, Ruby broke the silence.

- You're right, while we're in Argus, we better call him Remus.

No one disputed this, and they followed Saphron into the house. They put their weapons down in the hall, even Roman put them down Melodic The living room was quite spacious, even for the large group, as there were two sofas around a coffee table, which Ruby, Oscar, Maria, Nora, Ren, Jaune and Saphron sat on. Blake, Lance, Mike, Roman, and Qrow preferred to stand while Yang and Weiss only played with Adrian on the mat.

- So, - Saph just stared at Weiss curiously. – would you be the famous Weiss? - Weiss raised her head when she heard her name and was already worried that she would get inconvenience and unwanted attention again because of her family name. - Jaune worried himself to death about you! - She finally laughed, before Jaune and Weiss blushed again and the others just started laughing.

- You wouldn't imagine, - Nora just looked at her teammate. - how many times did he try to call her.

- He blew just like that, - Joined Ren. – we thought he was going to have a heart attack.

- Enough already! - Jaune just yelled. - Not everyone needs to know everything!

- Right, - Lance just placed a hand on Jaune's shoulder. - your "snow angel" has returned. - Hearing this nickname, loud laughter shook the house again, before Jaune and Weiss sank in their shame.

- Then, - Saph guessed. - is there something between you two?

- Absolutely nothing! - Weiss stood up and pulled herself out, but her face was still beet red.

- Yes! - Jaune joined her, but his face was also burning a strong shade of red. - Get off us!

- Change the subject! - Weiss demanded.

- Okay, - Ruby wiped a tear from her eye. - Anyway, Jaune, I can't believe we get to meet one of your sisters! I have so many questions!

Relieved that she wasn't going to be talked about anymore, Weiss sat back down with Adrian so she and Yang could continue playing with him.

- Oh, - Nora just got in front of her mouth. - I can answer a lot of things.

- Would you stop?! - Jaune, although he was glad that his relationship with Weiss wasn't being teased, he was still angry that he was still the main topic of conversation and crossed his arms in offense, pursed his lips and glared ahead.

- What's that? - Saph just shrugged her shoulders. - I just like to tell stories about my baby brother! - She pinched Jaune's face, which he shook off with a furious snarl.

- I'M NOT A BABY! - He was still offended and pointed at Adrian. - That's a baby over there!

Adrian, just like his uncle, crossed his arms offended, pursed his lips and looked angrily ahead, which Weiss and Yang couldn't help but admire with sparkling eyes, because it was such a cute sight. Jaune softened a bit when he saw Weiss's sparkling eyes and thought, 'If she's ever going to look at me like that, then I haven't lived in vain.'

- And Saphron, - Blake couldn't take her eyes off Yang's bright eyes as she admired the baby, but she asked her question. – are you the only Arc that lives here? - She looked at a photo on one of the shelves that showed Saphron, Jaune, their mother and their 6 other sisters.

- Yes, - Saphron replied after she stopped pinching Jaune's face. I moved as soon as I could. Jaune and I are the only ones away from the family. - She turned back to her brother. - He must have missed his sister.

- Well… - Jaune didn't know what to say since he really wasn't here to visit his sister, but he was glad to see her.

- Ah, you didn't deny it! – Another childish sibling wrestling match was about to break out between Saph and Jaune, which was interrupted by the opening of the front door. Another woman with glasses came in, she had short black hair, brown eyes and tanned skin. She was wearing a blue jacket, dark gray pants and red shoes and collapsed under the weight of three packed shopping bags. - Guys, this is my wife, Tara Cotta. – Everyone greeted her at the same time and Tara was a little shocked to see so many guests.

- Wow, - Although she was surprised, she wasn't angry that her brother-in-law brought so many guests with him. - hello, you're not kidding, a lot of people really came. Darling, - he said to Saph. - could you help me?

It didn't take much longer for Saph to jump up and run to the kitchen to help pack, before most of the guests joined in. Once they were unpacked, the JNR and LLMM team members started making sandwiches, which they felt was the least they could do after staying at Jaune's sister's house for free for a day.

- Are you sure it's okay, - Weiss was worried, since at least 15 people came to visit. – that so many of us stay here?

- Don't worry! - Tara assured them.

- We welcome hunters and huntresses! - Saph was also happy to see the others.

- You risked so much - Tara picked up Adrian from the ground and put him on her lap. – to protect people like us. It's the least we can do, - She turned to Qrow, whom she recognized. – especially for a recognized and professional Hunter like you. Although, - She looked through team RWBY, team LLMM and his brother-in-law's team JNR. – it's a little strange that students help you in your work. Is this… legal?

Ruby, angrily noticing her uncle's lack of response, nudged him to the side to say something.

- Huh... of course! - Qrow quickly thought of something to appease their hosts. - This can be seen as an extensive practice mission! - He tried to shine himself and brag about both his own and the students' abilities. - Trust me, I was a pro. I went to the same academy and let me tell you one thing, these kids are miles better than what we were in their day. Of course, - Qrow felt that he had to take it back a little. – not me, - But not because of his ego. - but many others...

- Shut up and eat! - Ruby squealed excitedly after seeing JNR and LLMM return from the kitchen with several trays of sandwiches, of which she took two, one of which she thrust into her uncle's hand.

Everyone started enjoying the sandwiches, but Tara was still curious about something as she looked at Roman who seemed a little familiar to her.

- And you, Remus, right? - Roman looked up at the woman while eating his sandwich. - Are you a Hunter instructor like Qrow?

- I'm with the team, - Roman, after swallowing the morsel in his mouth, answered. – as a kind of observer.

- Yeah, - Tara wasn't sure if it was appropriate to continue questioning, so she dropped the subject. - it's better if I don't even know what it means. - Suddenly her Scroll rang and she looked worriedly at her wife, who just nodded that she could pick it up and took Adrian over. - Excuse me, - She stood up and showed her Scroll. - I'll be right back. - She left the living room to make the call.

- Is everything fine? - Blake was worried.

- Oh, I'm sure, - Saph replied as Adrian snuggled in his mother's arms, irritated and bored. – Tara's a technician at the relay tower near the city. Unfortunately, the army's radar system is also there. - Sensing her child's fussiness, she started rocking him on her knee and cooing to him. - Guess who's the one who ruined something and wrongly accused? - She looked over at the team, who were still enjoying their sandwiches. - So, what are your plans for tomorrow?

- Well, - Ruby also swallowed what was in her mouth and answered. – we are trying to get to Atlas. We're going to the military base. – As soon as she said this, the JNR and LLMM team members fell down in disappointment and looked at each other.

- Well… - Jaune broke the silence and broke the team's enthusiasm. – we've already tried, but things... - They could feel that there was some serious problem, which Jaune is trying to formulate delicately. – didn't turn out as we had hoped.

- Come on, - Yang just waved. - it can't be that bad.

- So, - Cinder stood over Ms. Malachite's desk together with Adam and Mandy. – the travelers I asked? Where are they? – Ms. Malachite just took a puff from her cigarette and blew out the smoke.

- And what will you give me in return?

- I just paid a bunch of Lien! - Cinder slammed the table angrily, and Malachite's bodyguards only stepped forward menacingly.

- That money is just enough not to turn all three of you over to the authorities.

- I have no more money! – Cinder pointed out, looking curiously at the two faunus to see if they could help her financially.

- Oh, - Malachite just sprinkled the ash from her cigarette into a holder. - don't worry, I'm not asking for money. Rather a favor.

- What do you want from us anyway? - Adam didn't like the idea of a man having to make a deal with a thug, but it was the only way to find out where Blake was.

- I suppose you are familiar with the name of Roman Torchwick? - Malachite asked the obvious question.

- Sure, - Cinder replied. - we worked together for a while, but he betrayed us and is now with the same travelers I'm looking for.

- Very good. - Malachite nodded. - Because I want him alive.

- Why? – Cinder had no idea what the leader of the biggest criminal syndicate in Mistral's underworld might want with her former partner. - What harmed he to you?

- It doesn't surprise me that he didn't talk about me. - Malachite put out her cigarette. – I won't bore you with the details, but Roman Torchwick caused me a lot of inconvenience in the past, which caused me to lose a lot, money and influence, which greatly hampered my long-term plans.

- Do you want revenge? - Cinder proudly placed her hands on her hips, hoping she had gained another ally driven by her anger. Malachite didn't answer, just stood up from her desk.

- Follow me. – She headed towards the kitchen of the bar, and Cinder and her two new allies just looked at each other curiously, then wordlessly agreed to follow.

Malachite, accompanied by her bodyguards, led them through the kitchen, into a warehouse, and out the back entrance. They reached the backyard, where they used to bring the goods into the bar, but in the meantime, she signaled to some of her men to follow, so there were already 6 of them not counting Malachite.

- Tell me, Billy, - She addressed one of the men, who was a dog faunus and immediately pulled himself out. – how did your last mission go?

- Of course, ma'am! - Billy's dog ears perked up proudly, but he answered excitedly and trembling. - You can be proud of me!

- You think, - Malachite answered the man condescendingly. - I sent you to make me proud? Like a mother to her little son?

- No, ma'am! - Billy just smiled and shook his head. - It's only thanks to you that I succeeded!

- Get your tongue out of my *ss, Billy, honey. - Malachite just caressed the man's shaven face. - Maybe you're a Faunus, but that doesn't make you a dog? - Billy just flinched nervously as his boss touched her. - At least, not a barker.

- No, ma'am.

- Although, - Malachite just started caressing the man's hair and dog ears. - you're exactly like a dog, - She quickly looked back at Adam and Mandy, then quickly raised her other hand. - and I'm not saying this out of racism. - She turned back to Billy. - After all, you have all the qualities of a dog, - She suddenly pinched one of his ears. – except for one. The dog loyalty.

She clicked, and another of his men pressed a stun baton against Billy's back, knocking him unconscious, and a third prepared the duct tape to bind his hands, feet and mouth.

- Toss him to the spiders. - She ordered her men, who didn't even hesitate to grab Billy's passed out body, take him behind a bush, where they opened a secret trap door to take him down. I hate the moles. Come on. - She invited the Cinders into the dark and secret basement as if she was just inviting them to tea.

The basement corridor was dark, but as they moved forward, more and more soft light shone from the two walls. As soon as she reached one of the lights, Cinder looked to the side and her heart skipped a beat when she saw a giant hairy spider the size of a man's head. She was relieved to see that the creature was sealed off with a glass so it couldn't get out.

Adam looked at another terrarium in which another giant spider lived and saw a human arm in a huge spider cocoon and a head in another.

- Are you nervous? You don't like something? - Malachite addressed Cinder.

- What makes you think this? – Cinder tried to stay calm and strong, but these spiders made her back crawl and she would have liked to turn back.

- Venomous spiders from Anima? – Mandy, who spoke for the first time, tried to figure out what kind of spiders they could be, because she had never seen them before.

- Who gave you permission to speak?! - Malachite told her sternly, then turned to Cinder. - I heard some wild rumors about the death of Professor Leonheart. – She opened one of the terrariums, which also contained a giant spider, but she just stroked its head and, holding a vial in front of the creature's mouth, milked its tentacles so that the poison in them could get into the vial.

- He died as a hero, - Cinder replied, hoping to get her to believe what you said. – bravely defending the academy.

- Yes, - Malachite just sealed and pocketed the vial full of poison, then closed the terrarium. - this is the official story. But only an idiot would believe that.

- Why do you say that? – Cinder knew exactly that Salem killed Leonheart and Ozpin lied about his betrayal because he didn't want to stir up chaos.

- I've known Leonardo for years, - Malachite spoke of the headmaster like an old acquaintance. – many things could have been said about him, but not that he was brave. Especially considering what he's done in the last few years.

- What do you mean? – Cinder started to worry that Malachite might know too much and bring them down to her little pets' basement to keep them quiet.

- I didn't like Leonardo. - Malachite stopped and looked back at Cinder. – He was a coward but constantly preached about courage and honor and he was the only one who stood in my way to take control of the kingdom. Lately, he has come to me or approached me many times, with huge sums of money, to hire the Mistral Bounty Hunter Order to kill his own Hunters.

- I think, - Cinder just smiled and crossed her arms. – you were happy about the death of those Hunters.

- Don't get me wrong, my dear. - Malachite saw through Cinder's evil smile. - I was happy to lighten the wallet of that coward hypocrite and even more happy to kill those pompous Hunters who were just poking their noses into the affairs of my and businessmen like me, - She smiled, spreading her arms and looking proudly at the terrariums of the giant's spiders. - the remains of some of them are still here in my spiders' webs.

- I guess, - Cinder understood one thing about Malachite. – that they had a painful death, which you watched with pleasure.

- No, they had a painful death, which I watched with pleasure and many of my clients and I even bet on them. - Malachite spoke of the death of the Hunters as if it brought back a pleasant memory. - I don't deny it, it was good fun and they brought good money, but I'm not blind. It was a stupid and illogical thing on Leonardo's part, to which I'm unable to find a logical answer. - It was clear to Cinder what Malachite might want.

- Do you want to know why he did it?

- Exactly, - Malachite asked Cinder the question that had been bothering her for a week. – what makes a headmaster to hunt down his own people, reducing his power, risking his reputation and the chance of being killed by an assassin? In short, why did he do it? If you tell me that, I'll tell you where to find your little travelers. - They suddenly noticed that Malachite's people surrounded them and Cinder realized that silence wasn't an option, because her people might force the information out of them.

- She was afraid of my mistress, - Cinder had no choice but to tell the truth. - From Salem.

- Salem? - Malachite was unfamiliar with the name. - Who is she?

- She's behind Beacon's downfall, - Cinder felt Salem's actions draw Malachite's attention. - she convinced us to attack Haven and I'm sure she killed Professor Leonheart. A powerful person, compared to whom the directors of the Hunter academies are nothing.

- You don't have to prove anything to me.

- You, on the other hand, - Cinder remembered well that she fulfilled her part of the bargain. - you owe me an answer. Where have the people I'm looking for gone? - Malachite opened her fan, both impressed and annoyed by Cinder's impudence despite her odds.

- To Argus. It's not a target for many Hunters, but I don't think it's their ultimate goal. I think they go on from there...

- To Atlas! – Cinder finally got the answer Adam and Mandy had been waiting for. She had already turned to leave, but Malachite's men hadn't yet let her go. - I answered your question, let us be on our way!

- I'd still like you to listen my offer regarding Roman Torchwick. - It occurred to Cinder that this would be a good opportunity to get Malachite on your side.

- Do you want revenge on him?

- Oh, not at all. - Malachite just shook her head. - I want to set an example. To show all my opponents and competitors that no one can mess with me. If you could bring him here alive I would greatly appreciate it, you and of course your mistress Salem would have a new ally in Mistral.

- It's starting to sound interesting. – Cinder turned back and listened to the offer with a smile.

- With Leonardo's death, my plans to take over Mistral accelerated. - Malachite outlined. – A few months, a year at the most and I will be the new headmistress of Haven and the council will be in my hands.

- And you'd be willing to team up with Salem, - Cinder concluded and held out her hand. - just for Roman Torchwick?

- Consider it a kind of business initiative. - Malachite clarified. - I want him alive or there is no deal. - Malachite shook Cinder's hand.
