Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 48
In the land of rivers; 7 days after the battle: With Naruto and the others
Naruto and his team consisting of Obito, Tsume Inuzuka, her dog Kuromaru, Kurumi, Kakashi and Sakura were all in a row boat going through the swamps and deltas of the land of rivers. Naruto was looking around but was thinking it was going to be impossible to find Anko in this area.
Naruto swatted the back of his neck killing another mosquito "damn blood suckers" Naruto said and everyone looked at him "this place is miserable as shit; do people really live out here".
The man rowing the boat chuckled and spoke in his thick accent (imagine a thick Cajun accent) "calm ya self boy, dese here swamps be veery treacherous naw" he said "we got gators, pythons, man eatin' crabs and all kind of creepy crawlies out 'ere".
"Kurumi, translate please" Obito asked as he along with everyone else but her couldn't understand the boat captain.
"He's sayin' that there's a lot of dangerous things out here" Kurumi said as she was able to understand his accent; even though her accent is different she's able to piece together some word and speak to him.
"If this place is as dangerous as he says it is, maybe Anko got eaten" Naruto said before scoffing "bah who am I kidding, she's probably living it up out here; like that colonel from 'Apocalypse Now'". "Oh god… Anko with a unsanctioned army" Naruto said; Kakashi, Tsume and Obito all went wide eyed at this.
They all imagined Anko leading a tribe of head hunters and taking all the younger men of the tribe as sex slaves "we have to find her" all three of them said.
"Are you sure about this" Sakura asked as she applied more mosquito spray "I mean you remember what Lady Tsunade and Lord Jiraya said".
"Oh yeah, and how we got this bullshit mission" Tsume said.
Flashback; Taki (4 days ago)
Naruto, Obito and Kurumi were all looking at Tsunade who just dropped the bomb that Temari was alive and Kankuro was dead; Karin was currently on the floor with Shizune by her side holding her. Karin was sobbing uncontrollably as Kankuro, her boyfriend was dead.
"FUCK" Naruto shouted as he grabbed a glass of water and smashed it against the wall; no one stopped him as they knew what he was going through "T-Temari".
"Naruto, I get that your pissed but we have more pressing matters" Tsunade said gaining his attention "everyone is accounted for except for Anko; she's MIA and from what we found she may have jumped into a river to escape". Tsunade pulled out a map and placed it on a table "we have to find her and bring her back; she may have valuable intel we can use" she said
"Ok, ok" Naruto said talking a calming breath as he and his team went over to the table and looked at the map along with Tsunade, Jiraya, Gaara, Nagato and Katsu "what do we got".
"If my calculations are correct Anko may be in the southern deltas of the land of rivers" Jiraya said pointing "these are the combination of thousands of rivers hence giving the country it's name; that area is pretty much an invaders nightmare".
"Why is that" Kurumi asked and Jiraya looked at her.
"Oh just thousands of square miles of swamps full of man eaters, little to no land to step on and hostile natives that'll kill most outsiders" Jiraya said "Konoha tried to invade through there about sixty years ago to invade Suna but… it went south hard".
"How bad was it" Obito asked and Jiraya scoffed.
"Out of two thousand ninja who went about one hundred came back" Jiraya said "most were killed by disease, animals or the natives; they never even made it close to the Suna border". "That's why the fighting is in the northern part of the country; even Danzo isn't stupid enough to invade there" Jiraya said.
"So you want us to go there and find Anko" Naruto said skeptically "through all that nasty shit you just said".
"Not exactly, some natives are more… understanding especially when you pay them enough" Jiraya said "so we are gonna pay them to take you in".
"How much money" Naruto asked and Gaara spoke.
"These people don't use money; they barter" Gaara said "we are prepared to give you scrolls full of things they might want". "Cloth, dyes and medicine from Suna" Gaara said as he pulled out a scroll.
"Wine, tobacco and coffee from Spring country" Katsu said pulling out another scroll.
"Rain gear and leather goods from Ame" Nagato said pulling out his scroll.
"And" Tsunade said pulling out a scroll and sighed "my… personal stash of Sake; over three thousand bottles".
"Holy shit I knew you drank like a fish, but three thousand bottles" Naruto shouted in surprise.
"Shut up Naruto; I'm sacrificing for the greater good here" Tsunade shouted and Naruto nodded "get Tsume Inuzuka, Kakashi and Sakura; then head out ASAP". Tsunade turned to Karin who was still sobbing "I'll take care of Karin… I know her pain" she said.
"You head the lady" Obito said "saddle up".
Flashback end
Naruto and his friends were nearing a village and were in awe; the village was built on stilts going into the water and touching the muddy bed below. There were about two hundred houses and hundreds of canoes and small boats surrounding the village.
"Damn that place looks both impressive and terrifying at the same time" Naruto said; as soon as he said that there was the sound of a horn "what was that".
"Oh dat be the horn of da' local militia" the boat man said "they's probably goin' to gather up and decide to kill ya' 'er nawt".
Upon hearing this everyone went wide eyed as they saw the village scurrying around up ahead getting in defensive positions.
"Oh shit" Naruto said; as they got closer the situation got worse "OH SHIT". At the beginning of the dock on a crucifix there was Anko naked and tied up "it's Anko" he said.
Kakashi got up and both he and Obito used their sharingan to look ahead "yep it's her" Kakashi said "this is not good". "I see two ways of this ending; either we get Anko back or we all get killed" Kakashi said.
"At this point I don't know what to think" Naruto said "lets just… hope the leader isn't a psychopath".
At the village docks
Naruto and his team stood at the end of the docks about fifty yards away form Anko; the only thing stopping them was about 100 armed militia men. They were armed with tridents, nets, machete's, knives, meat cleavers and crossbows.
"Naruto" Kakashi whispered "I'm going to do the talking; if things go bad… get Anko and the others out of here".
"Ok" Naruto said; Kakashi walked forward and spoke.
"I am Kakashi Hatake, former ninja of Konoha" Kakashi said walking forward with his hands up "I'm here for that woman on the cross; I'm willing to trade goods for her". Kakashi heard no response from the people and continued "can I speak to you leader" he said.
A large muscular tan man walked forward; he wore no shirt just ripped blue jeans and no shoes. Kakashi thought he was the leader until he spoke up.
"Boss man, we got ourselves some ninja 'ere" he said.
"I can tell" came a voice without an accent; there were sounds of a walking stick hitting the wooden dock as the militia made a opening. A hooded figure wearing a robe walked up and front of the entire army "Hello Kakashi" said the figure said and Kakashi narrowed his eyed.
The figure reached up and took off his hood revealing long black hair, 2 glowing red sharingan and the scowling face of Sasuke Uchiha; Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi and Tsume all went wide eyed.
"S-Sasuke" Sakura said not believing what she was seeing.
"No way" Kakashi said wide eyed.
Naruto was frozen in place as he saw Sasuke; Sasuke… the person he thought dead, was alive right in front of him.
"S-Sasuke" Naruto said and Sasuke looked at him with a scowl "Sasuke, what the hell, you're alive".
"Yes I'm alive, no thanks to you" Sasuke said with a growl "I saved your life dragging you from that river; and how do you repay me… with treachery". Naruto and the others became confused "I thought I was gone… hidden; then this woman come here spewing her lies" Sasuke shouted while pointing at Anko "I won't go back to Konoha, I will not be a slave to the shinobi system; I am a free man".
The crowd behind Sasuke cheered in agreement and Naruto spoke up "what are you talking about you crazy bastard" he shouted.
"We fished this woman out of the water a week ago; and she spoke of war, of Konoha… of you" Sasuke said "she said how I should return her, talk to the Hokage". "I almost believed her… until they came" Sasuke said as he snapped his fingers; there was shouting as several men pulled someone forward.
Tsume went wide eyed at what she saw; Kiba was bound and gagged as he was thrown in front of Sasuke. Kiba was heavily bruised and beaten and Sasuke continued.
"Five days ago, this mutt came to our home with a war party of twenty Konoha ninja" Sasuke shouted as he pulled Kiba up by his hair and took out his gag "tell them what you told me".
"W-w-we were looking for Anko; s-s-so I can kill her, for Akamaru" Kiba said crying while being held by Sasuke "w-w-we tracked her here, I lost half my platoon; I-I didn't know anything about this place".
Naruto went wide eyed as he saw Kiba, the last survivor of the squad Anko was with said Kiba was with them; Naruto had to save Kiba to get answers about Temari.
"Sasuke listen to me" Naruto said gaining everyone's attention "please, don't kill Kiba; I need him, he has information i need". Sasuke looked at Naruto wide eyed and spoke.
"Information" Sasuke said softly and Naruto nodded "Information about me… about my family"; Sasuke let go of Kiba's head and reached into his cloak. "I'm not a fool Naruto" Sasuke said glaring at him "I will not let Konoha know of me".
Sasuke pulled out a knife and stabbed Kiba in the neck severing both of his arteries; Tsume gasped in horror as she saw the anguish on her sons face.
"M-m-mom" Kiba gurgled before Sasuke kicked him into the water down below; Kiba floated for a few seconds until an alligator dragged him under leaving only blood on the water.
"YOU CRAZY SON OF A BITCH" Naruto roared as he was about to run forward; Naruto had to stop and caught a bolt that was aimed at his head a mere inch away from piercing his brain.
Sasuke's only remaining hand was holding a hand bow "enough of the lies; you are a hunter ninja group, here to take me back to bondage" Sasuke shouted as he dropped his hand bow and tore off his cloak revealing his missing left arm and his left peg leg . "I WON'T GO BACK TO KONOHA; I'LL DIE BEFORE I GO" Sasuke shouted "SUSANOO".
Sasuke's skeletal Susanoo appeared and Sasuke looked at Naruto's group who were getting ready to fight "I'm the last of the Uchiha; I won't go down without a fight" he roared.
"Sasuke stop" Naruto shouted as he raised his hands up; Sasuke looked at Naruto huffing and puffing "Sasuke…look". Naruto took off his forehead protector and showed it "I'm a Suna ninja now; I'm not with Konoha… none of us are".
Sasuke grit his teeth as Naruto slowly walked forward and Kakashi spoke "Naruto wait-" Kakashi began but Obito stopped him.
"Wait Kakashi… lets see if this works" Obito said and Kakashi nodded although he was getting ready to use a raikiri.
"Sasuke, there is a war between Suna, Ame, Spring and Kumo against Konoha" Naruto said slowly walking forward "it's the truth".
"Your lying Naruto… you just want to keep your word to Sakura" Sasuke said "'even if I have to break every bone in your body', your exact words". Naruto nodded and continued to walk forward.
"I thought you were dead Sasuke, we all did" Naruto said "you know me Sasuke… I'm not going to hurt you". Naruto slowly reached behind his back and grabbed his fan and Sasuke got ready to attack "I'm just dropping my weapons, nice and slow" he said.
Naruto began to take off all his weapons and place them at his feet before walking forward "Sasuke, I promise you that I won't attack you; just calm down and turn off your Susanoo" he said.
"You're lying" Sasuke said sounding like he was trying to convince himself.
"I never go back on my word" Naruto said "because that's-".
"You ninja way" Sasuke said softy; Sasuke looked at the others before looking to Naruto "I want all your weapons and your chakra sealed".
"Ok Sasuke; you're the boss here" Naruto said trying to calm him down "just don't hurt us and let us take Anko down".
Sasuke hesitated for a second before deactivating his Susanoo "cut her down; take their weapons" Sasuke said and Naruto let out a sigh of relief "bring them to the dining hall".
Naruto felt the adrenaline wear off of him and he had a thought as the militia began to take his stuff 'what the hell did we walk into' he thought.
1 Hour later: In the dining hall
Naruto and the others were all chained to a table by their hands to ensure they don't escape; there were a total of four guards all armed with crossbows and machete's guarding them.
Naruto sat there in silence with the others until he spoke up "uh, can i take a piss" Naruto asked.
"Shut ya bitch ass up boy" one of the guards said and Naruto groaned.
"Asshole" Naruto said.
Just then a door opened up and Sasuke hobbled in with his walking stick and peg leg and walked in front of Naruto and the others. Sasuke pulled out a chair and sat down; Sasuke pulled a oven timer and wound it.
"You have five minutes to explain everything to me" Sasuke said and Naruto went wide eyed.
"Five minutes; are you crazy I can't-" Naruto began.
"Four minutes and forty seconds" Sasuke said and Naruto spoke.
"So Konoha tried to kill me because of killed you, right-" Naruto said.
……
"-And now we are here to get Anko back and please don't kill us" Naruto said breathing hard as he had to condense three years worth of story into five minutes.
Sasuke looked at Naruto with a look of skepticism "ok so let me get this straight" Sasuke said "you escaped Konoha because they tried to kill you, went to Suna, got with that… girl with the fan".
"Temari, yeah" Naruto said; Sasuke nodded and pointed at Obito and Kurumi.
"Then you found two more Uchiha in Tea country and brought them to Suna" Sasuke said and Obito spoke up.
"And I'm one of Kakashi's old teammates; he also thought I was dead just like how… Naruto thought you were" Obito said and Sasuke looked at Kurumi.
"Hey cousin" Kurumi said and Sasuke sighed while rubbing his temples
"Now there is a war going on, Temari has been taken by Konoha and you want Anko back to find her" Sasuke said and Naruto nodded.
"Exactly; I would've taken Kiba as a prisoner for interrogation but whatever, who cares" Naruto said before Tsume looked at him.
"I care you little shit; he may have been a monster but he was my little boy at one point" Tsume shouted and Naruto winced.
"Sorry, sorry, sore subject" Naruto apologized and Tsume huffed; Naruto looked at Sasuke and spoke "Sasuke".
"I think…" Sasuke said Naruto getting his hopes up "I believe you"; Sasuke made a hand sign and the chakra suppression tags that were on all of them fell off.
"Oh thank god" Naruto said "by the way how did you know how to make chakra suppression tags out here in the boonies".
"We learned it in the academy idiot; you never payed attention" Sasuke said and Naruto blushed in embarrassment; Sasuke looked at the four men guarding them and spoke "unchain them".
The four guards went and unchained everyone and the tension in the air lightened; Sakura looked at Sasuke and spoke.
"Sasuke, now that we answered your questions, can we ask you something" Sakura said and Sasuke looked at her "how are you alive".
Sasuke looked at Sakura and pulled down the left side of his collar and everyone looked; Sasuke's curse mark from Orochimaru was there but it was faded to near non existent.
"I used the power of the curse mark; or more like I over used it" Sasuke said "for two days I used the power of it to keep me alive as I floated down the river". "I lost an arm and my leg was badly damaged; losing a lot of blood I used it to keep me going" Sasuke said "I floated to the edge of the swamps where a couple of fishermen found me". "I barely survived… my leg had to be amputated as well" Sasuke said and Kakashi spoke up.
"Why didn't you come back to the village Sasuke" Kakashi said with anger in his voice "Naruto was nearly killed by the villagers and you didn't do anything about it".
"If I came back, then what; I be locked up in a cell for the rest of my life… forced to breed Uchiha babies like a breeding bull" Sasuke said with an attitude "no, that was not happening". "Besides it took me nearly six months of recovery to be able to get up and walk to the bathroom by myself" Sasuke said "how the hell was I suppose to cross four hundred square miles of swamp as a cripple".
"So why did you stay here Sasuke" Naruto said and Sasuke looked at him and closed his eyes; Sasuke opened them revealing his Mangekyo Sharingan.
"I had no where to go Naruto" Sasuke said before deactivating it "I'm crippled for life, killing Itachi was out of the question, I could no longer be a ninja; I was fucking useless". "I fell into despair, I lost everything in a quest for power… then my Mangekyo Sharingan activated, when I had no purpose to use it" Sasuke said sadly "at one point… I even tried killing myself, just trying to get rid of all my pain".
"Why didn't you" Kurumi asked and suddenly a door opened.
"Hubby, I brought ya some tea" a girl with light brown hair, hazel eyes and tan skin "I made it the way you's like it; no suga' and with a lil' oney'".
Sasuke smiled and grabbed the girl by the hand "everyone this is Naha, my wife" Sasuke said shocking everyone.
"'Ello everyone, I'ma so glad to meet you's all" Naha said with a bright smile; Sakura, Kurumi and Tsume were all looking at her and analyzing her. Naha was a pretty girl but not out of the ordinary; they were all wondering what she had that made Sasuke fall for her.
She wore a patched together dress made of white, brown and black cloth and wore wicker sandals; her chest wasn't that much bigger than Sakura's, her body wasn't as toned as Tsume's and she didn't have the drop dead beauty of Kurumi.
'What is her gimmick' all the women thought.
"Oh hubby, dat Anko lady is awake naw and she's very angry; should I give 'er some frog juice" Naha said and Sasuke shook his head.
"No I got an idea" Sasuke said before looking at the group "how's about a bath and a meal; it's the least we can do".
"Sounds great; what's for dinner" Naruto asked.
"Gumbo Mr.Naruto" Naha said and Naruto looked at her.
"What the hell's that" Naruto asked.
1 hour later
Kurumi, Sakura, Tsume and Anko were all in a bath hut enjoying the hot water and finally feeling clean; currently they were all sitting in a large bathtub soaking themselves.
"Oh my god I'm so sweaty" Kurumi said "I needed this; I felt so sticky.
"You're crazy; I was tied to a cross for days" Anko said "admittedly I did try to run away and I knocked out two guys but still".
"I'm just glad we didn't get into a fight getting here" Sakura said "and Sasuke is alive, I can't believe it"; Sakura smiled as she looked down into the water. "I never thought I'd see him again; I just hope he can understand that me and Naruto mean him no harm" Sakura said.
"I didn't think I'd see Kiba here" Tsume said "i was prepared to kill him the next time we met; looks like Sasuke saved me some heartache". "But even though he was a bad guy" Tsume said sadly "he was still my baby… and I love him".
"I'm sorry Tsume" Anko said as she gave her a hug; just then the door opened up and Naha entered.
"'Ey ladies, mind if I join ya" Naha said and the girls looked toward her.
"Sure thing Nah-" Sakura began until she and the other girls went slack jawed; Naha was completely naked and showing off her body. Naha's chest had B-cup breasts with light brown nipples, she had a body with a little bit of pudge filling her out; but what really caught the eyes of the girls was her ass.
The best way to describe it was taking Tsunade's breasts and putting them on a girls bottom; her round and full ass jiggled with every step until she entered the bath.
"Oh boy, I'ma glad to get clean naw" Naha said until she realized that the girls were looking at her "wha".
"Damn girl you have a license for that dump truck" Anko said pointing at Naha's butt; Naha giggled and stood up.
"Oh dis'; over 'ere a girl wit a big booty gets all da boys" Naha said "go on an touch it"; Sakura and the others all touched Naha's butt giving it a squeeze.
"So soft and squishy" Kurumi said "no wonder Sasuke's chose you"; Naha chuckled and sat down.
"He chose be cuz I fish him out of de water" Naha said "I nurse him, fed him, and den fell in love wit him". "I stop him from killin' himself; he was so sad he cry all night" Naha said "I told him I love him and will take care of him; ever since den he's been fishin' tha bayou and I been lovin' him".
"I'm glad to hear that Naha; I used to love Sasuke" Sakura said and Naha nodded.
"Sasuke always talk about ya and de blonde boy Naruto; he misses you all" Naha said "but he tired of the fightin' and de killin'; he want to live in peace".
"I understand" Sakura said "so you've been keeping him happy".
"Yeah, well fed and well loved" Naha said.
"Oh what's you secret to feed him" Kurumi said.
"Lots of fresh fish and veggies, no sweet but a little spice" Naha said.
"What about love" Sakura said and Naha spoke with a lecherous smirk.
"You jus' got to fuck 'im girl" Naha said making Sakura blush.
"Oh yeah give us details" Anko said.
"You have to give a little 'hawk tuah' and spit on dat thang; you get me" Naha said laughing and both Anko and Tsume laughed as well while Kurumi and Sakura blushed.
On the other side of the hut blocked by a wall Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi and Obito all heard this and looked at Sasuke; Sasuke was smirking and chuckling as he washed his hair.
"Goddamn, I love it when she does that" Sasuke said.
'I gotta keep that in mind' Naruto said as he began to scrub his back.
2 hours later; at the dining hall
Later on in the day dinner was served in the dining hall and the entire village of about three hundred came out and ate together; the hall was full of chatter amongst friends and family. Naruto was no different as he was eating together with his newly reunited team.
Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi were sitting with Sasuke and Naha, eating together for the first time in 3 years and were talking amongst each other; Sakura was looking at Sasuke and looking at his mannerisms.
Sasuke has change a lot since he left Konoha; he was no longer cold and distant, but he wasn't exactly warm and inviting either. Sasuke's right had was on the table and his index and middle finger were tapping without stop; Sasuke every once in a while looked to his sides and over his shoulder as if he expected someone.
When there was a break in the conversations Sakura spoke up "Sasuke, can I ask you something" Sakura asked and Sasuke looked at her.
"What is it" Sasuke asked before eating a spoonful of gumbo.
"H-have you been suffering from nightmares or sudden feelings of anxiety or dread" Sakura asked and Sasuke stopped cold as he looked at her "your constant looking around, the way you were at the docks; I think you may be suffering from paranoia or PTSD".
Sasuke put down his spoon and looked at his food "when I saw my arm and my leg gone, I hoped that Konoha would think I was dead" Sasuke said "I just wanted to level here, like a hermit; live out the rest of my life in shame because of my… idiotic and selfish actions". "But, I had a feeling, a nagging feeling in the back of my mind" Sasuke said as he began to grip the table "that there will be one person out there, just one person and he'd say 'the Uchiha is alive'; next thing you know I'd be hunted down by tracker ninja, and whittled down until I was either dead or captured". Sasuke began to grip the table tighter and it began to creak "when Anko arrived here and saw me that set off my alarms; then a few days later that mutt Kiba came" he said. "I killed his entire platoon myself, I hoped it would be over; that I can go back to being a fisherman" Sasuke said before looking at at Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi "then you showed up, and I thought 'this is it; this is my last stand'; and I planned on taking as many of you with me as I could before I die".
Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi all looked at Sasuke stunned at what he just laid out; he didn't want to go back to Konoha because of his shame and he was constantly worried about Konoha coming back to get him.
Sasuke let go of the table and spoke ""now I hear about a war going on and Naruto is a sand ninja; it feels like the world has forgotten about me… and I'm grateful" he said. Sasuke looked around at his new community and spoke "out here we are cut off from the rest of the world and I'm fine with that" he said before looking at them "when you leave tomorrow… don't come back; let me live here in peace, I have no more fight in me".
"What are you talking about Sasuke" Naruto said "we literally have Itachi in our sights; he working with Danzo, out can help us and-".
"How can I help you dumbass" Sasuke said looking at Naruto "I'm missing a leg and an arm; my chakra control is shit because I haven't used any jutsu until a few days ago". "I haven't trained, I haven't learned anything, I'm just… some guy now" Sasuke said and Naruto looked at Sasuke. "I only won against Kiba because he was an idiot and I had the element of surprise; I don't stand a chance against Itachi" he said; Sasuke had the look of a defeated man, even if he wanted to help he couldn't.
Naruto nodded and spoke "alright Sasuke, I get it" he said "when we leave we'll keep you existence secret; only the people here, Gaara, Granny Tsunade and Pervy Sage will know".
"Why those three" Sasuke asked narrowing his eyes.
"The war is in our favor Sasuke; we are slowly pushing Konoha back" Naruto said "when we win and we kill Danzo and Itachi, I'll ask to see that you're pardoned". Sasuke went wide eyed and Naruto continued "I'll gather up as much Uchiha scrolls and crap I can find and bring them to you and we'll destroy your records; you'll never exist in our history" he said "you can live the rest of your life without looking over your shoulder".
Sasuke was speechless and Sakura spoke up "and I intend to become Hokage one day Sasuke" Sakura said as he looked to her "and when I do I'll do everything in my power to help you; if you ever want to come back to Konoha, or enroll your children in the ninja academy I'll make it happen".
Sasuke smiled a genuine smile and Naha saw this; she reached out and grabbed Sasuke's hand giving it a gentle squeeze which Sasuke returned.
"Thank you Sakura; I'm sure you'll be a great Hokage" Sasuke said and Sakura smiled "and I'm sorry I never reciprocated my feeling to you; I hope you find a good man like how I found Naha and Naruto found Temari".
Sakura and Kakashi both went wide eyed and began to chuckle making Sasuke raise an eyebrow "What" Sasuke asked.
Kakashi reached over and grabbed Sakura's hand and scooted closer to her "me and Sakura are a couple Sasuke; we've been a together for over a year now" he said with an eye smile.
Sasuke and Naha's eyes went wide and Sasuke spoke "what the fuck" Sasuke said not believing what he just heard.
"Yeah I had the same reaction" Naruto said as he ate another spoonful of gumbo "I mean a sensei dating a student; pretty orthodox".
Meanwhile: In the Mist and Maelstroms time line
Both Naruto and Mei Terumi were both sleeping in bed when Mei felt a sudden feeling and sat up 'Is someone talking about me and Naruto' Mei thought as she looked around and saw she was in her house in Kiri.
Naruto rolled over to his some and looked at Mei "babe, are you ok" Naruto asked and Mei looked at him.
"I felt something off in the air; I think someone mentioned us" Mei said and Naruto sighed.
"Mei it's just the hormones" Naruto said as he reached out and rubbed Mei's stomach; Mei was four months pregnant and her hormones were all out of wack "come her babe; lay down". Mei nodded and laid back down pushing her back up against Naruto; Naruto reached around and began to rub her pregnant stomach making Mei sigh in relief.
"That feels nice" Mei said as she reached down and grabbed Naruto's hand.
Naruto leaned forward and kissed the back of her neck "goodnight Mei; love you".
"Love you too Naruto" Mei said as she and Naruto both went back to sleep.

The Next Day; At the Docks: with Naruto, Sasuke and friends
Naruto and the rest of his group were looking at Sasuke, Naha and several others from the village; Naruto gave them all the trade items they has as payment for not killing Anko and killing Kiba and his Anbu.
"Sasuke, I just have to say thanks" Naruto said to Sasuke "for being a good host and not killing us when you went psycho".
"And I'd like to apologize to you for almost killing you and going psycho" Sasuke said before looking over to Anko "sorry about the whole 'crucifixion' thing; it wasn't personal".
Anko waved her hand and spoke "not a problem; wasn't my first time" Anko said and everyone looked at her until Kakashi spoke.
"Oh yeah; our Anbu inanition ritual" Kakashi said with fondness "oh yeah, I remember like it was yesterday".
"Good ol' family friendly hazing" Anko said and everyone sweat dropped.
"Kami above" Naruto said.
"Naruto; before you leave I have something for you" Sasuke said and Naruto looked at him; Sasuke closed his eyes before opening them revealing his Mangekyo Sharingan and speaking "Tsukuyomi".
Naruto went wide eyed and the world began to shift.
In the Tsukuyomi: with Naruto and Sasuke
Naruto looked around and saw he was in the middle of a large body of water devoid of anything as far as the eye can see; everything was grey, black and white except for the sky which was blood red.
In front of Naruto, Sasuke stood there looking at Naruto who was both frightened and confused "welcome to my Tsukuyomi; in here, time is under my control" he said.
"Sasuke, what the hell is this" Naruto shouted and Sasuke held his hand up.
"Relax Naruto; I'm just here to give you some information" Sasuke said and Naruto stopped "you didn't think I'd kill Kiba before I found out why he came here". Naruto went wide eyed at this and Sasuke continued "I can only get information going back a few days and to be honest I thought these memories were either implanted or fake… I guess Sakura was right, I am paranoid" he said.
"So let me play it all back for you" Sasuke said as the sky morphed into Kiba's memories; Naruto looked up and saw Kiba fighting Anko, Kiba returning to Konoha with Temari and Asuka, them returning to a bunker he's never seen before in the southern end of Konoha. They entered the building and went to Danzo, Danzo instructed Kiba to go back and find Anko, Kiba seeing his squad being killed by Sasuke; he then saw Kiba's confusion of seeing Sasuke and his pleading and the last thing he saw was Kiba looking into Sasuke's sharingan.
This went of for about an hour until the memories stopped and Naruto spoke to Sasuke "I know where Temari is now; she's in that headquarters they entered" Naruto said and Sasuke chuckled.
"Glad I can be of service" Sasuke said before closing his eyes.
Back in the real world
Naruto and Sasuke both appeared back on the docks and Naruto looked around "what the hell" he said before turnign around and looking at Sakura "how long was I gone for".
Sakura raised an eyebrow in confusion "gone, you and Sasuke were literally just talking and then you turned around" she said and Naruto went wide eyed before looking at Sasuke.
"Like I said, time is under my control" Sasuke said as he wiped some blood dripping down from his eye "one hour in my Tsukuyomi, one second here". Sasuke walked up and extended his hand "goodbye Naruto" he said and Naruto reached out and shook his hand.
"Goodbye Sasuke; don't worry, I'll kill Itachi for you" Naruto said "it's the least I can do because of the uhh…"; Naruto looked at Sasuke's missing arm and peg leg. "Yeah I'm sorry about that; I didn't mean to-" Naruto began until Sasuke stopped him.
"It's ok, not the end of the world" Sasuke said before looking at Obito and Kurumi "good luck to the both of you; it's nice to know there are some Uchiha who aren't traitors out there".
Obito chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head "well technically I'm a deserter since I faked my death" he said and Kurumi chuckled.
"I'm not; so technically there is a single Uchiha" Kurumi said and Sasuke nodded before looking at Tsume.
"Tsume" Sasuke said as she looked at him "I don't regret killing Kiba, he tried to attack my village; and frankly he deserved worse from what I saw in his memories".
"As much as I want to kill you for killing my son, I understand" Tsume said with a slight scowl "although you did spare me from doing it myself".
"We should get going" Anko said "I want to get healed and back into the fight ASAP"; Anko reached up and touched her face where Kiba slashed her with her claws. "There's so much more I need to do" Anko said.
"Ok then; lets get going" Naruto said as he and his group got into their ferry; as the captain moved the boat off the dock Sasuke looked on as they went North.
Sasuke could only feel regret and sadness as he saw them leave; if he still had his arm and leg he would go and help them. But he can't, he's a cripple; a broken tool.
Naha seeing her husband saddened walked over and grabbed his hand "let's go home hubby; you's need a lie down" she said and Sasuke nodded.
"Ok Naha" Sasuke said as they began to walk away.
3 days later: With Sasuke and Naha
Sasuke and Naha both entered their home after a day of fishing and were about to get ready for bed when they heard a croak; Sasuke and Naha looked over and saw a toad with a scroll on his back. The toad was orange and blue and was on their kitchen table.
"Sasuke Uchiha" the toad said and Sasuke nodded.
"Uh… yes" Sasuke said confused as Naha hid behind him as seeing talking toad kind of creeped her out.
"Master Naruto sent you this" the toad said as it put down the scroll "take care"; the toad puffed into smoke and Naha jumped at this. Sasuke walked over to the scroll and opened it with his one hand; another puff of smoke appeared and Sasuke went wide eyed at what he saw.
In front of him was a prosthetic left arm and leg and a plastic tool box full of specialty tools and extra parts; the prosthetics were made out of wood with metal joints, screws and bolts. On the leg there was a note attacked and Sasuke picked it up; it was in Naruto's sloppy hand writing.
Hey Sasuke; we arrived back to Taki safely and I just wanted to say thanks again for not killing us and I'm glad you are alive. I sent you some Suna prosthetics since they are the best in the world; Granny Chiyo spent hours making various types for all the wounded. These are good ones that can be used for work or combat; it'll take time to get used to but I'm sure you'll figure it out. There's and instruction manual in the tool box along with oil, spare parts and other stuff; if you treat them right they could last for another 20 years. Sorry about the arm and the leg.

Sasuke looked at the limbs and touched them with his one remaining hand; Naha walked closer and smiled.
"Wha' you's thinkin' hubby" Naha said and Sasuke looked at her.
"Help me put them on" Sasuke said.
1 hour later
Sasuke hobbled down to the end of a dock and stood at the edge with Naha standing a few feet behind him; Sasuke looked off into the distance and saw a tree about fifty yards away in the water.
Sasuke raised both arms and flexed his fingers on his new prosthetic hand; Sasuke went through hand signs at a steady pace before stopping.
'Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu' Sasuke launched a medium powered fireball towards the tree in the water; the tree was engulfed in flames and people began to come out of their homes as they saw Sasuke perform his clans specialty jutsu.
Naha was looked on amazed as she has never seen Sasuke do something like that in all the years she's been with him "Hubby, dat was amazin'" she said and Sasuke looked at her with a smirk.
"I'm a little rusty" Sasuke said "looks like I got some training to do"; Naha nodded and Sasuke looked a bit further away to an old man and spoke. "Hey Kaoru; you said that your brothers village is being raided by pirates right" Sasuke asked and the old man nodded "they should be a good warm up… take me there".
