Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 31
Suna (1 year after the Chunin exams); Naruto and Temari's house: With Naruto and Temari
"Almost there and… done" Temari said as she took a step back with a pair of scissors "looking handsome babe; I told you i can cut hair" she said as she held up a mirror to Naruto. Naruto's hair was no longer long as it was now shorter but had some length to it (his canon hair style).
"Nice babe" Naruto said as he got up and walked over to the kitchen sink to wash the hair off "thanks for that; i hate going to that barber who tries to scalp me" he said and Temari chuckled.
"Well I had a lot of practice cutting Kankuro and Gaara's hair over the years" Temari said "by the way remember we have to go to the Kazekage tower later; Gaara wants us for something" she said and Naruto nodded.
"I wonder what he wants now" Naruto said as he put on his orange jacket and put on a his chunin vest; Naruto modified his chunin vest slightly as it had 2 holsters for his small fans in the front, a seal on his back to keep his larger fan in place while he runs and a sheath with a tanto hanging upside down on his left shoulder. "Well lets not keep him waiting" Naruto said as he put his large fan on his back "lets get going" he said.
Temari nodded as she picked up her fan and slung it on her back "right behind you babe" Temari said as she ran beside Naruto and walked out.
With Karin and Kankuro
Karin and Kankuro were both naked and kissing in their bed as they just got done having 'fun'; Karin parted her lips and smiled "I love our little 'lunch breaks'" Karin said and Kankuro chuckled.
"My favorite time of the day" Kankuro said; ever since their encounter in Kiri both Karin and Kankuro have started a secret relationship. "I just can't believe i have to leave with Gaara later on today" Kankuro said "man it sucks being the Kazekage advisor sometimes" he said and Karin giggled.
"Comes with the territory" Karin said "but remember our plan right" Karin and Kankuro nodded. "On our 1 year anniversary we are going to tell our friends" Karin said with a sigh "as much as i don't want to" she said and Kankuro groaned.
"I can just hear Temari begging for double dates" Kankuro said "but I guess I'll have to live with it" Kankuro said.
"Now then" Karin said as she got on top of Kankuro "time for me to give you a little 'going away' present" she said as she bent down and kissed him and Kankuro kissed her back.
Kankuro pulled away and smiled at the sexy redhead on top of him "you're awesome you know that" he said as Karin winked and stuck her tongue out.
Uchiha house hold: With Obito and Sango
Obito was in his underwear and a muscle shirt sitting on the couch sipping a beer "you doin' good honey" Sango said as she walked into the room and sat down next to him planting a kiss on his cheek.
"I'm doing amazing" Obito said wrapping his arm around his wife "I have the entire week off, Kurumi is going on a mission, everything is great" he said snuggling with his wife.
"You have any plans" Sango asked and Obito chuckled.
"Nope; just sitting back and not doing shit for seven whole days" Obito said before moving his hand down and grabbing Sango's butt "although i can think of one thing we could do together" he said wiggling his eyebrows.
Sango rolled her eyes and got up "keep it in your pants buddy" Sango said as she got up and walked to the door "I'm heading to the market; what you wanna eat tonight" she said and Obito looked thoughtful.
"Beef stew" Obito said and Sango nodded.
"Beef stew it is" Sango said as she opened the door "I'll be back in an hour or two" she said as she closed the door. Obito just kicked back and turned on the t.v.
"I'm a lucky guy" Obito said with a smile.
Kazekage tower: With Naruto, Temari, Gaara, Kankuro and Kurumi
Naruto and Temari were standing in front of Gaara, Kankuro and Kurumi awaiting their orders "Naruto, Temari; I have a task for you" Gaara said as he folded his hands. "Me, Kankuro and Kurumi need to go to Kiri in order to talk to the Nagato, Mei and Koyuki" Gaara said "and I need you two to do something for me" he said and both nodded.
"What do you need Gaara" Naruto asked excited and Gaara smirked.
"Naruto" Gaara said standing up and picking up his Kazekage hat walked over to Naruto and placed it on his head "for the next 2 weeks; you will be the temporary Kazekage" he said making Naruto go wide eyed.
"Seriously" Naruto said with the brightest and goofiest smile "Temari, you hear that; I'm Kazekage for 2 weeks" he said and Temari smiled.
"Looks like you finally get to live your dream" Temari said "but wait; what about me" she asked and Gaara looked at her.
"You are going to ensure that Naruto doesn't destroy the village" Gaara said and Naruto looked at him with a tic mark.
"Hey" Naruto shouted before Temari bonked him on the head.
"Sure thing Gaara" Temari said "and I'll make sure Naruto stays out of trouble" she said and Naruto huffed.
1 hour later: Suna Desert
"So do you think it was a smart idea to leave Naruto in charge" Kurumi asked "I mean he has no experience with village politics or any leadership experience" she said and Gaara looked at her.
"This is a test run for an experiment" Gaara said making Kurumi confused "frankly being Kazekage is… unfulfilling" he said. "But with Naruto being with Temari and the high probability of marriage…" he said and Kankuro looked at him in shock.
"No way" Kankuro said making Kurumi nervous "you're seriously thinking of pawning off the Kazekage seat to Naruto" he said making Kurumi wide eyed. Gaara nodded and continued walking.
"He had the dream of becoming Hokage, so he has the drive" Gaara said "this may ruffle some feathers, and may have some backlash; but Naruto sees Suna as his home, he would be a decent Kazekage compared to the past ones" he said and they both nodded.
"Naruto is more liberal and more likable… no offence" Kurumi said as she rubbed her chin "I wonder what he'd do with that kind of power" she said.
Kazekage tower: With Naruto and Temari
"Lord Kazekage, can i please have a raise" Temari said as she leaned on the Kazekage desk; she was wearing a black miniskirt, white button shirt with some buttons undone showing her cleavage "I'll do anything for it" she said in a sultry voice.
Naruto wearing the Kazekage hat smirked "well if you want a raise you're going to have to work for it" Naruto said; Temari walked over and sat on Naruto's lap.
"Yes lord Kazekage" Temari said; Temari began to giggle "ok I'll admit it; the role playing is kind of fun" she said and Naruto chuckled.
"I told you" Naruto said as he kissed Temari and ran is hand up her skirt.
Kiri (3 days later): With Gaara, Kankuro and Kurumi
Gaara, Kankuro and Kurumi were at the gates of Kiri and just passed through as they walked down the road to the Mizkage tower.
"Finally made it" Kurumi said as they walked along the road sand looked around "wow this place looks a lot better than last time we were here" she said as she looked around.
"Their economy grew after that trade deal with snow country" Kankuro said "probably also helped when they began that trade deal with wave too" he said and Gaara nodded.
"I'm grateful that our economy is doing well" Gaara said "one less thing to worry about" he said. "Konoha hasn't been doing well from what i hear" Gaara said as he continued walking "Tsunade said that due to wave and snow country backing out from their trade agreement the economy has been hit hard" he said.
"Serves them right; for what the did" Kurumi said and Gaara looked at her.
"The civilian council has been using this as proof that her leadership is failing the village" Gaara said "Danzo and the others have been capitalizing on everything that has gone wrong and has been using it to undermine Tsunade at every turn" he said.
"I do not envy that woman" Kankuro said as he walked down the road "she must be having a hell of a time keeping that village afloat" he said.
In Konoha: With Danzo
Danzo was standing on the top of the Hokage monument looking down on Konoha with his one visible eye narrowed 'Tsunade' Danzo thought as he clutched his cane 'you're tenure as Hokage has been nothing but an embarrassment; it's time to finally bring Konoha to it's rightful glory' he thought.
Danzo heard someone land behind him and he turned around seeing Shikamaru behind him "everyone is in place lord Danzo" Shikamaru said.
"Excellent" Danzo said as he turned back around "it's time for a regime change; give the signal" Danzo said and Shikamaru nodded.
Shikamaru brought up radio to his mouth and spoke "All units; commence the attack" he said; suddenly around the village explosions began to go off and the sounds of battle began to ring around the village.
Danzo with a single hand sign set off the explosives he planted; the faces of Tsunade Senju, Minato Namikaze and Hiruzen Sarutobi all exploded and the rubble was sent crumbling down onto the Hokage tower.
