The Seduction of Steve Rogers ch 3

Bucky woke again to the smells of a wonderful breakfast. His stomach growled very loudly, and he didn't feel so great. Going three days without really eating was starting to take a toll on him but he was convinced it was the food that witchy. Cracking an eye, he saw Anna creep into the room with the men, still soundly sleeping, even Steve. They had been working extra hard the day before and were utterly exhausted despite the meals they had been served.

Laying very still and feigning sleep, he saw her poke and prod gently at the men, pinch on Falsworth's skinny shoulder, an appreciative pat on Dum Dum's beefy thigh. Did he just see her lean down and smell Gabe like she was appreciating a bakery sweet? The thought nauseated him deeply, but he stayed still and quickly closed his eyes completely, willing his breath to even out as if asleep, as Anna passed him.

She paused and looked back, a frown on her face. Steve's cot was behind Bucky's, but he was sure she was looking at him. "Mihaela!" Anna hissed.

The younger woman popped her head in through the door, letting the smells of their food roll in. Bucky's stomach spasmed. "What?" she replied in Romanian.

"This one – "Anna gestured in Barnes's direction, "He's up to something. Won't eat. I don't like it."

"So, we need to get rid of him first." The statement was flat without any emotion.

"Maybe. We'll see."

"I want to keep the blonde one for last. He looks so… delicious." Mihaela's voice as a sigh.

Anna made a wicked smile as she moved towards the door, "You and your blonde boys."

Mihaela chuckled good-naturedly and closed the kitchen door again. Barnes didn't understand the words, but he certainly didn't miss the meaning of the tone, and his blood ran icy in the warm room. He was going to have to act fast.

Barnes thought furiously for a moment. How could he get his friends away from their table of bewitching food and Steve away from Mihaela's company. I guess I'll have to play dumb too, he thought hungrily. Just enough dumb to make it reasonable looking that he was also succumbing to their spell; and with that thought he rose from bed and went to the kitchen to get some food.
