Sailor Moon couldn't believe her eyes as Mistress 9 looked in her direction. "Is that... Hotaru?" she wondered aloud. "No! That's not her! It's someone else!"

The entire Mugen building shook as its windows flared bright purple light as thunder crackled through the air.

"What is this?!" wondered Sailor Pluto worriedly. "It seems to be some kind of spatial anomaly!"

Purple light then shot through the building again. This time, a sliver of a purple beam shot through it. That beam cut the building in half as it exploded with a mighty burst, creating a powerful shockwave that shook the entire area. Sailor Pluto quickly erected her Garnet Orb as the shockwave reached to protect herself and the others as three shockwaves reached where they hovered. Then, as Sailor Moon and the others watched in shock, out from the ruins of the collapsing building, six objects rose forth from the dust and smoke, suspending themselves in the air. One of the objects was the fountain that Kaolinite used before she died, and the other five were Solaris and the Inner Guardians, each unconscious and trapped in a bubble of purple light.

Sailor Moon gasped with horror. "Mercury! Mars! Jupiter! Venus! Solaris!" she cried.

At that moment, Solaris began to stir inside his prison until his eyes slowly fluttered open, and when he became aware of where he was, he quickly woke up.

"What the-! What is this?!" he exclaimed as he pounded his fists against the bubble that contained him. "What's going on here?! Let me out!"

"Solaris, hang on!" yelled Sailor Moon. "I'm coming!"

The Guardian of the Moon then shot towards her captured friends, desperate to rescue them. But before she could reach them, an unknown force threw her back while shocking her with energy in the process, making Mistress 9 mockingly cackle.

Sailor Moon then scowled. "No, that thing is not Hotaru!" she said with anger.

Sailor Neptune's Deep Aqua Mirror began to glow while showing her a vision on its surface. The Guardian of the Sea was shocked to see that it was showing the destroyed city of Juuban. She then looked towards the bay and saw the seas frothing and churning as their waves crashed against the shores.

"The seas! They're beginning to swell with rage!" she cried.

Sailor Uranus could see that the clouds above them were booming with thunder and the wind whipping and howling them about as she gazed up at the sky. "The winds and sky are angry!" she spoke worriedly. "Is there a storm coming?"

Sailor Pluto also saw that the site of Mugenzu District began to bend and distort as purple lightning continued to strike the area. "The distortion of space-time is expanding," she murmured.

Suddenly, another loud boom shook the area as a geyser of black liquid-like substance erupted from where Mugen Academy once stood. When it did, Mistress 9 let out a cackle of triumph as she threw her hands up in ecstasy.

"The moment is here!" she crowed. "At long last, Master Pharoh 90 has gathered enough power to vesselize! The time has come for him and this planet to become one!"

"Become one... with Earth?" Sailor Moon repeated in shock.

"Pharoh 90?" Solaris also repeated while glaring at Mistress 9. "I take it that he's the mastermind behind all this madness?"

"That's right! Master Pharoh 90 is the true master of the Death Busters!" Mistress 9 continued. "Once his vesselization of Earth completes, this world will become a second Tao Star system! And then the Earth shall be our new mother planet!"

At that moment, Sailors Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all shot forward, splitting up into three directions. Then, they all stood on top of their respective building that surrounded Mugenzu and held up their talismans high.

"For Neo-Queen Serenity and King Taiyou who one day will reign...!" spoke Sailor Pluto.

"And for this planet, the planet Earth, where they were born and raised...!" proclaimed Sailor Uranus.

"We will protect the future Silver Millenium and this world with it!" finished Sailor Neptune.

"That is our mission!" the Outer Guardians shouted together. "And we will use our powers to stop this invasion without fail!"

All three talismans then started to glow brightly, each releasing a powerful beam of light of their respective color. Next, they combined into one and created a massive blue barrier that encased the entire Muzgenzu District preventing the evil substance from spreading further.

Mistress 9's eyes narrowed in annoyance. "So, you're trying to seal us in, eh?" Her maniac smile returned. "You're wasting your time with that fruitless effort! Master Pharoh 90's vesselization will finish soon, and I no longer have to contain myself in this human body!"

She then clutched her chest with her hand enough for the nails to pierce into her skin. A shock went through her body, and she began to change. Her back bulged, making her look like a hunchback as several crystal spikes began to grow out from it, much to the horror of Sailor Moon and Solaris. But suddenly, Mistress 9's transformation stopped, her entire body freezing for a few seconds. Then, the spikes growing out from her back began to recede into her body, eventually disappearing as she appeared frozen while trembling like a leaf, her glowing red eyes darting around unnaturally in all directions.

"Wh-What's happening to me?!" Mistress 9 cried out in shock. "I can't break free! I'm stuck!"

Then, a voice came.

"I won't let you escape!"

"Who's there?!" demanded Mistress 9.

Sailor Moon and Solaris also heard the voice and immediately recognized it.

"That voice!" gasped Sailor Moon.

"It... can't be!" Solaris spoke in shock.

Sure enough, Hotaru appeared in the form of a spirit keeping her hands on Mistress 9's back as the spikes from her body receded more, disappearing into her body.

"You don't control this body! It still belongs to me!" Hotaru spoke bravely. "And as long as I'm in here, I have no intention of letting you leave it! You're never getting out!"

"Hotaru!" Sailor Moon and Solaris cried.

Mistress 9 groaned in agony as she slowly began to revert, but once again, her lips stretched into a twisted and demented smile as she began to laugh. Then, from her body, a pair of hands made of darkness came out from her shoulders, each grabbing hold of Hotaru by her wrists. As the girl struggled to get free, the crystal spikes started coming out of Mistress 9's back again.

"So you were the one that's been getting in my way," Mistress 9 cackled. "I thought I devoured and digested your wretched existence, yet somehow you stubbornly managed to survive. But swallowing the Legendary Silver Crystal has made me stronger! A puny little Hoste like you can't control me!"

The hands pulled Hotaru, making the girl cry in agony until her spirit was ripped in two, dissipating into thin air.

"No! Hotaru!" Solaris cried as he punched inside of his prison.

"This is bad!" Sailor Moon gasped. "If I don't do something quick, Hotaru's body won't last much longer!" She summoned forth her Spiral Heart Moon Rod. "MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"

With a spin and a wave of her rod, she unleashed a mighty blast of hearts at Mistress 9, attempting to catch her by surprise. However, Mistress 9 deflected Sailor Moon's attack with ease while sending her flying with a whip of her hair.

"No way! Sailor Moon's attack didn't work!" cried Solaris.

"I won't let anyone get in my way!" Mistress 9 spoke as she dug her hands into her body once more, resuming her transformation. "I'll get free of her body while tearing it to pieces!"

In the dark space, Hotaru desperately held Chibiusa's Silver Crystal close to her chest along with a pink sphere of energy which represented the pink ordango girl's soul, as her body began to deteriorate.

"I'm running out of time! I'm about to be torn to pieces!" Hotaru winced in pain. "But even so... I have to protect Chibiusa's soul and the Legendary Silver Crystal, no matter what happens to me!"

She hugged the crystal and Chibiusa's soul tightly as she shouted out in the darkness, defiant and filled with courage.

"Do you hear me?! You're not going to get them! I'm never going to lose!"

Mistress 9 scowled crossly, sensing Hotaru's resistance. "What's this?! I can't absorb the power of the Legendary Silver Crystal anymore!" she snarled. "Damn you, you impertinent human! You will not interfere!" She then looked towards Solaris and the other Inner Guardians. "I need more power, so I'll have to take the Hostes from these Guardians!"

Immediately after hearing this, Solaris let out a mighty bellow as he broke out of his bubble, which in turn also broke the Inner Guardians' bubbles, causing them to fall into the dry fountain.

Not wanting to give Mistress 9 a chance to attack his comrades, Solaris charged straight at Mistress 9. "No, you won't!" he roared as he clenched his fist while charging up his energy. "SOLARIS ARROW OF SOL!"

He unleashed a powerful golden arrow of light with more force than before, but Mistress 9 blocked the attack using her hair. However, Solaris continued undaunted, summoning forth his blade and, with a few rapid swings, cut through her hair and thrust forward, aiming straight for her stomach, only for Mistress 9 to catch his blade just before it reached it.

"You dare to point your blade at me, human?" Mistress 9 spoke with a scowl before flashing another slasher smile. "I like your grit. It shows that you must have a powerful host within you!"

Then, the unthinkable happened. With a quick flick of the woman's wrist, while holding onto the blade's tip, Mistress 9 broke it clean off. Solaris's eyes went wide with shock as he recoiled, staring at his broken sword in disbelief. Mistress 9 then held out her hands and sent a stream of darkness towards the stunned guardian, which took the shape of a claw that pierced directly into his chest, making his eyes go wide as his body went stiff and frozen.

At that moment, the Inner Guardians woke up after being freed from their bubbles, and Sailor Moon managed to recover from the previous attack. Then they saw Solaris, and when they did, Mistress 9 pulled back her hand of darkness as it ripped out the soul from Solaris's chest.

"SOLARIS!" Sailor Moon and the others cried out.

As Solaris's soul shot over to Mistress 9, his now lifeless body fell until it landed on the fountain where the Inner Guardians were. As Sailor Moon quickly rushed over to her friends, Mistress 9 quickly took his soul into her mouth and swallowed it whole.

"Solaris! Please wake up!" begged Sailor Jupiter. "Come on! Say something!"

"Please! Open your eyes!" Sailor Mars pleaded as she desperately shook him. "Please! Solaris!"

But Solaris didn't.

Sailor Mercury checked his pulse, and her face went pale. "No...! It can't be! I can't feel a pulse!" she gasped while clasping her mouth. "He's not breathing either!"

Sailor Moon looked back at Mistress 9, who was smirking with glee. "I don't believe it!" she gasped with horror. "She extracted his soul just like with Chibiusa!"

Mistress 9 cackled as she licked her lips. "Oh, don't cry for the poor boy," she mocked. "In a few short moments, the rest of you will be joining him soon enough. And by the way, his hoste was quite delicious!"

Sailor Moon scowled in anguish. "You monster!"

The other guardians glared at Mistress 9 as well, their eyes welling with tears of grief.

Hotaru was still trying her best to protect Chibiusa's soul and Silver Crystal inside the dark space. Then, a ball of golden light suddenly appeared before her, bearing the symbol of the sun on it. Hotaru immediately knew what that ball of light was.

"That's Harusuke's soul!" she gasped. "That must mean she took it to gain power! I have to save it!"

The little girl quickly flew over and took Solaris's soul into her arms, cradling it protectively.

Mistress 9's eyes went wide with bewilderment before being replaced with anger as she let out a growl of frustration, for when she swallowed Solaris's soul, she couldn't extract any power from it thanks to Hotaru's interference.

"You annoying little maggot!" she snarled with rage. "Give me that Hoste right now!"

Darkness enveloped her hands, and she shoved them deep inside of herself, attempting to reach Hotaru inside her body.

Two giant pairs of hands made of darkness representing Mistress 9 came shooting out at Hotaru and enveloped her in a dark aura, trying to force her to let go of the souls and the Silver Crystal. The little girl refused to give in, clutching them tightly, but she could feel her strength beginning to fade.

"I can't... hold on to their souls much longer! Her power is too much for me!" she gasped as tears of pain welled up in her eyes. "I want to protect Harusuke and Chibusa's souls so badly, but I may not be able to!"

She then stopped and started to think.

"And yet... it's strange. At this point, I'm nothing more but a soul now thanks to my body's being possessed, which means that I'm pretty much dead already, right? "So... why am I still fighting?" she wondered to herself. "My dad's gone, so it's not like I'm not fighting for anything else. How even do I have any power left to fight at all? I don't remember ever being so strong before."

It was then that she remembered Chibiusa and Harusuke. The mere thought of them made her heart grow warm as tears trickled down her cheeks. Not only that, but she sensed something stirring within her, something that appeared to be encouraging her.

"I can feel it. There's a large presence of another self inside of me. Someone greater and far more powerful," Hotaru murmured. "She's telling me to save them with every ounce of power I have left." Her fear slowly faded while being replaced with resolve and courage. "Yes. Even though I'm nothing more but a soul now, I can still rescue the souls of my friends and the Legendary Silver Crystal along with them!" Her body began to radiate with white light that turned into a white bubble. "Don't worry, Chibiusa! Harusuke! I'm going to get you both out of here!"

A powerful pulse went through Mistress 9's body as a streak of light shot out through her back.

"Impossible! She left!" Mistress 9 gasped with alarm. "And she took the hostes and the Silver Crystal with her!" But then she realized, which in turn made her cackle as her body began to transform once again. "Oh, well. That's fine. Because now I can finally be free!"

The streak of light then released a golden ball of energy that went over to the Guardians and entered Solaris's chest, disappearing. At that moment, the boy's eyes opened, much to the delight of Sailor Moon and the others.

"Solaris! You're awake!" Sailor Moon cried as she immediately embraced her brother.

"Thank goodness," Sailor Jupiter sighed in relief. "We thought you were a goner."

Solaris was about to ask what was going on, but then, he happened to look up behind Sailor Moon and saw something that made his eyes go wide. The other guardians looked up, and they couldn't help but be amazed as well as thrilled. Floating in front of them was Hotaru with Chibiusa's soul and Silver Crystal in her hands.

"It's Hotaru! She's the one who saved my soul from Mistress 9!" Solaris spoke happily. He then gave Hotaru a wave. "Thank you, Hotaru! I owe you one, kiddo!" he called out to her.

Hotaru smiled in response. Not long after that, her body changed into a small white ball of light and then shot upwards as it flew away from them.

"Hotaru, wait! Where are you going?!" called out Sailor Moon.

But the light had already vanished into the distance.

Back at Mamoru's apartment, Mamoru had fallen asleep at some point as he continued to act as Chibiusa's life support. Then, warm light came shining from his open window, which caused his eyes to snap open and look up to see that Hotaru had suddenly appeared standing in front of it. Hotaru held out her hands, and Chibiusa's Silver Crystal, as well as her soul, began to drift from, floating across the room towards their owner, disappearing into her body, finally back to where they belonged.

The pink ordango then gasped as she opened her eyes, her life fully restored.

"Chibiusa!" Mamoru spoke in relief. "You're finally awake!"

Chibiusa looked up at Mamoru and smiled. "Hey, Mamo," she greeted.

"Thank goodness," Hotaru spoke thankfully. "I was afraid I would never get them back to you, but I'm so glad that I was able to save you."

Chibiusa then turned towards the window, and when she saw who it was, she immediately shot out of bed. "Hotaru!" she gasped, her eyes welling with tears of joy. "It's you!"

"You know, I know that this may sound strange because we're both girls, and the fact that Harusuke is your uncle," said Hotaru. "But I believe meeting the two of you was destiny."

"I feel the same way!" agreed Chibiusa. "It was destiny!"

Hotaru could only smile. The two little girls then reached out towards each other, yearning for one another after being apart for so long. But then, just as their hands were about to touch, Hotaru let out a cry in pain as her body began to deteriorate and fade away.

Chibiusa was alarmed as she tried to rush to her friend. "Hotaru! What's happening to you?!" she cried.

But Hotaru looked at her friend as she gave her one last smile while trying not to cry. "It's OK, Chibiusa," she said, knowing that this was it for her. "I'm glad that I met you and that I got to be your friend, and the same goes for Harusuke. It was - the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you and thank you for everything. And tell Harusuke that everything he said meant a lot to me. Goodbye."

Before Chibiusa could say anything more, the last of Hotaru faded away as she vanished into the air.

"Hotaru! Wait! Don't go!" Chibiusa called out, her eyes now overflowing with tears. "Come back!"

But silence fell, and the light that was once Hotaru dwindled until it was gone.

Chibiusa then fell to her knees and began to cry, mourning over the loss of her friend. "It's not fair," she sobbed. "Why does her fate have to be so sad?"

Mamoru felt terrible for the poor girl and wanted to comfort her, but he knew that this wasn't the time to be mourning.

"Chibiusa. Sailor Moon and the others need you," he said quietly. "I understand your feelings, but... you have to help them fight. Are you up for it?"

A brief pause passed. Then, Chibiusa stood up while wiping her tears away.

"Yes. I can still fight. No, I have to fight! Hotaru sacrificed her life for me, and I owe it to her!" the pink ordango spoke bravely. "After all, I'm a Sailor Guardian! I can't cry forever!"

From her hands, her brooch came forth in a burst of light as she held it up high while saying her transformation phrase.

"MOON PRISM POWER, MAKE UP!"

Transformation Sequence: Chibiusa

The Prism Heart Compact opens, revealing Chibiusa's Silver Crystal inside it. It begins to glow pink until a heart made of light pops up from it, flipping and overtaking the screen, revealing Chibiusa bathed in light with the Prism Heart Compact in the center of her chest. The compact bursts with pink ribbons that tighten and wrap around Chibiusa's body, making her leotard. Chibiusa then spins around as a red bow appears where her compact is on her chest. Pink ribbons then wrap around her legs, forming her pink boots and around her waist, forming her skirt and red bow at the back. Her gloves materialize next, and white-bordered red circular accents on her odango appear, along with pointed white fittings resembling a rabbit's ears, a golden tiara with a red gem, a pink choker around her neck, and pink studded earrings. Her transformation finished, Chibiusa winks and then strikes her signature pose with a crescent moon in a pink background shining brightly.

Sailor Chibi Moon looked back at Mamoru, now ready to join her friends. "Mamo, thank you for using your power to keep me alive and safe," she said to him. "I may not be as strong as Sailor Moon or Solaris, but I'll still do my best and fight by her side!"

Mamoru then watched Sailor Chibi Moon take to the air heading towards the battlefield, he felt proud, but at the same time, he couldn't help but feel melancholic.

"It's kind of like I'm giving her away in marriage," he said to himself.

He began to feel a strange sensation flowing through his body which filled him with peculiar power. "That's strange," he thought as he looked at his hand. "Somehow, I feel like I'm overflowing with power." Then, he remembered Chibiusa and Hotaru. "It's almost as if I got it from Chibiusa instead of giving her mine. Hotaru might have given me some of hers, too."

Mamoru then clenched his fist as he looked towards the battle and knew what he had to do. In a burst of light, he changed into his alter ego, Tuxedo Mask, as he took to the skies.

"Hold on, Usa! I'm coming!" Tuxedo Mask spoke with determination.

A few moments before, Mistress 9 had completed her transformation to her Daimon form, destroying her human shell in the process. She now was enormously tall, muscular, had pale purple skin, crystal spikes protruding out from her back and arms, and now had piercing white eyes with glowing red pupils. Not only that, but she was also growing at an alarming rate in terms of size and power. Mistress 9 glared at the Guardians with hunger, particularly at Sailor Moon due to her Silver Crystal hidden in her brooch.

"That power, the power of the Legendary Silver Crystal! Give it to me!" the giant Daimon snarled as she lunged straight towards them. "Give it to me right now!"

Solaris, along with the Inner Guardians, intercepted her, each one unleashing their moves.

"SOLARIS ARROW OF SOL!"

"MERCURY AQUA MIRAGE!"

"MARS SNAKE FIRE!"

"JUPITER COCONUT CYCLONE!"

"VENUS WINK CHAIN SWORD!"

The five-way attack struck the monster in the center of its chest, but all that did was stop it for a brief moment as it continued its charge, breaking straight through it. Then, a familiar voice shouted.

"PINK SUGAR HEART ATTACK!"

A pink heart made of energy struck the Daimon right on her back, and while disoriented and stunned, Mistress 9 plummeted towards the swirling mass below out of sight.

Sailor Moon and the others were happy and relieved to see their tiny comrade alive.

"Sailor Chibi Moon!" Sailor Moon spoke joyfully. "I'm so glad that you're all right!"

"It's all thanks to Hotaru," said Sailor Chibi Moon. "She's the one who saved me."

Solaris then looked around. "Speaking of Hotaru, where is she?" he asked. "Is she all right?"

Sailor Chibi Moon bit her lip as she desperately tried to hold back her tears but could not do so. "She's... she gave... everything to protect me," she spoke tearfully. "Including... her life."

Sailor Moon and the other guardians gasped.

"You mean to say... that she's... she's gone?" Sailor Moon murmured, her eyes now trickling with tears.

"No... it can't be," Solaris spoke, his hands tightly clenched into fists trying to fight back his. "After everything we did to try and help her. She's gone?"

Sailor Chibi Moon shook her head as she smiled. "No, she isn't gone at all! She's alive in our hearts," she said. "And she'll always be with us forever."

Sailor Moon and the others couldn't help but agree, feeling moved by the little guardian's words. Even the Outer Guardians, who were still keeping the barrier up, heartily agreed. But then they were rudely interrupted as Mistress 9 came bursting through the mass, letting out a roar of rage. At the sound of the monster's bellow, the Outer guardian's barrier began to crack and crumble. But as it did, a familiar masked man in a tuxedo and a cape came flying onto the scene.

"It's Mamo!" said Sailor Chibi Moon.

"Tuxedo Mask!" Sailor Moon also spoke.

"What are you doing?! The barrier won't last much longer!" urged Tuxedo Mask. "You have to act fast; otherwise, the enemy is going to invade the planet!" He looked at Sailor Moon. "You have to transform to Super Sailor Moon and take out that monster quickly!"

Sailor Moon acknowledged the man with a determined nod. "He's right! I have to protect this planet!" she said. "I won't let Hotaru's sacrifice be in vain! I must save this planet no matter what!" She turned towards her fellow Guardians. "Ready, guys?"

All the Guardians answered with a nod as they raised a hand to the sky as Sailor Moon held up hers above her head.

"Moon Chalise! Come to me now!" Sailor Moon commanded. "And gather the sacred power of the Holy Guardians!"

At her call and with the help of the others giving their power, the Moon Chalise appeared shining as bright as gold. While this happened, Sailor Chibi Moon could only watch in amazement and wonder, wanting nothing more than to be just like her mother.

"Sailor Moon. She's so strong," the little guardian murmured. "Someday, I want to be strong. Just like her."

Sailor Chibi Moon held up her hands without thinking about it, mimicking Sailor Moon while wishing with all her heart. It was then that her tiara disappeared, revealing her crescent moon mark on her forehead. Not only that, but something materialized in her hands, shining as bright as Sailor Moon's Moon Chalise. Sailor Moon and the other Guardians, as well as Sailor Chibi Moon, were shocked and amazed.

"I-Is that what I think it is?!" Solaris spoke in astonishment.

"It's... it's another Moon Chalise! And I think it's Sailor Chibi Moon's!" Tuxedo Mask confirmed with wide eyes. "Her strong desire to be strong must have allowed her to summon it forth!"

Sailor Moon was more proud than she was surprised of her daughter as she joined her, both of their Moon Chalises shining brightly. "Sailor Chibi Moon, it's time to transform! Are you ready?"

Sailor Chibi Moon answered with a nod, and Sailor Moon called out her transformation phrase.

"MOON CRISIS, MAKE UP!"

Transformation Sequence: Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon

Sailor Moon holds up the Holy Grail, and the lid opens, overflowing and spilling with golden light, enveloping her and forming a cocoon shape. The cocoon bursts open as rainbow butterflies made of energy flutter out from it as Sailor Moon emerges from them with new changes to her form as she elegant spins around from the feet up. Her boots were bright red, her skirt white with yellow and blue borders blending, and her bow at the back now billowed in length also a radiant cotton pink color with a yellow belt around her waist with a brooch similar to the one on her chest in the middle. The stripes on her collar were now yellow, her shoulder pads were more extended, translucent, and pink, her choker was yellow with a red heart in the middle, and her earrings no longer dangled, now fixed to her ears. The rainbow butterflies swarm past as Sailor Moon opens her eyes, a gold tiara appearing on her forehead, and a pair of wing-like barrettes appear on top of her hair. She then strikes her final pose as a pair of pink butterfly-like wings appear behind against a starry background. A cocoon of light also envelops Sailor Chibi Moon and bursts open as rainbow butterflies made of energy flutter out from it as she emerges. Her new outfit now bears a striking resemblance to Super Sailor Moon's only hers was pink. The two Super Sailor Guardians stand side by side, striking their signature poses against a starry background with a crescent moon and a heart behind them.

Everyone stared in sheer awe at the two super guardians, particularly Sailor Chibi Moon.

"Sailor Chibi Moon..." began the Inner Guardians.

"... has powered up, too?!" spoke the Outer Guardians.

"She's now become Super Sailor Chibi Moon!" said Tuxedo Mask and Solaris.

The two Super Sailor Guardians turned to face Mistress 9, who charged in a maniacal hunger and rage. The two summoned forth their rod and crossed them together as they began to shine in brilliant pink light.

"Let's go, Super Sailor Chibi Moon!" said Super Sailor Moon.

"Let's do it, Super Sailor Moon!" agreed Super Sailor Chibi Moon.

"Let's combine our powers!" the two of them said together.

The two raised their rods, crossing them together into an X while gathering power in the form of a large pink mass of energy. Mistress 9, not being one to back down, charged straight towards them with a roar, her nails brandished and sharpened, ready to rip them to shreds.

Both Sailor Moon and Chibi aimed at the creature and unleashed their combined attack.

"RAINBOW DOUBLE MOON HEARTACHE!"

A mighty pink beam with heart ribbons erupted from their wands, and Mistress 9, sensing the overwhelming power from it, quickly erected a barrier to shield herself as the attack collided with it. Both energies waged against each other as the Double Moon Heart tried to break through, making shockwaves of wind buffet about the area.

While this clash happened, the evil black sea below began to bubble and crash against the barrier, causing the Outer Guardians to falter while managing to keep it up.

Then, Sailor Pluto gasped as she sensed something that made her blood run cold. "The distortion of space...!" she murmured as she looked down. "That means... Pharoh 90 is coming!"
